The office is clean and usually punctual. Based on this I had referred my husband and others to the practice. The unfortunate - my 6 year old was evaluated and in dire need of glasses. There was not much inventory for a young child so I left having been advised that they'd have more samples in a few days and I'd get an email or text with the styles to evaluate in advance. This was 12/9. I waited several days, then began to follow up... phone calls, voicemail, text messages...absolutely no reply. None. I figured holiday hours and schedules could warrant a delayed response... but it's now 12/30 and still no response. My husband went in person to perhaps see if they were closed and maybe forgot to update their voicemail... and to our surprise the office was open! There was no acknowledgement of my numerous attempts for outreach, and even asked if I wanted to wait for the new samples to come in...um, no! My child needs these to see, and it's already been 3 weeks!! Mistakes happen, but good customer service and communication goes a long way, and this was totally absent from my recent experience. Needless to say, I asked for the prescription and will be filling it elsewhere.

Andover, I decided to seek a new eye care provider, and fortunately, I discovered Family Eye Care and Dr. Patti. Today, I have an entirely new perspective on eye care and the importance of finding a practice that takes the time to educate its patients and invests in the latest technology to ensure its patients receive the best care. No dilatations and puffs of air make the experience even better. Unbeknownst to me, I have been tolerating FINE contacts, as I've been wearing the same brand for a decade. Now, I have a new look on life and have learned a great deal about my eyes and how to care for them and adequately handle my contacts to ensure they feel great! Highly recommend this practice -- you'll be pleased with your decision to take your vision seriously.

When I called about my prescription expiring on 11/26, I scheduled the next available appointment for 12/30, which meant I would be without contacts for 13 days and needed a few sample lenses to bridge the gap since I couldn't purchase more with an expired prescription. When I requested samples, the receptionist was dismissive and offered no help. When I asked if she could check with Dr. Chin, she replied--in a tone that made me feel as if I should have known better--that he was with patients all day. I explained that I understood, but hoped she could ask him at some point when he wasn't actively with a patient. Despite this, she never followed up. I emailed the office today, following up on my call from Monday, explaining the terrible experience I had with the woman I spoke with and again asking that my message be passed along to Dr. Chin, as he deserves to know why a long-time patient is leaving. And once again--no response. At the very least, a response to my email should have been a basic professional courtesy, but I didn't receive any acknowledgment whatsoever. Do better, front office at Andover Eye. After reading other reviews of AEA, there seems to be a consistent theme of dissatisfaction with the front desk staff. It's surprising that nothing has been done to address it, and it makes me wonder whether the doctors are even receiving this feedback. I hope this message ultimately reaches Dr. Chin. He has always been excellent, but the lack of support and communication from the front desk ultimately led me to seek care with a new provider. On a positive note, I want to give a shout-out to the optical office staff--they have consistently been terrific.

I suggest people call ahead so they don't waste their day or if they have to reschedule, they can do it before they go and sit.

I bought a Burberry frame with the lense and hoping its a…read morebetter quality -unlike my cheap online typical purchases- after 4 weeks, my lense that was supposed to be anti-scratch on top other options, it scratch only on the right side right where my sight located the most. So i go back there and they said oh its because u dropped it and scratch the ground. So i went home because it avoid the warranty. Now is on a year after and i dont even use it because the scratch keep bugging me and i just saw underneath of my lense its peeling off. Idk what is that but it's obviously a cheaply made coating and sell it for overprice market. I need people to know that to bring your business elsewhere. Their 'opticians' has no optician skill, they were taught how to 'be optician' without knowing what exactly they have to do. I went to a different optical store and told them my experience, he said that he used to be hired there and teach those salespeople to be 'optician' wanna be. And he is the one that made me realize why the scratch is only on 1 side. Lense crafter, you should be ashamed of your self. Selling overpriced item with no quality. Now i doubt my frame is really burberry or just a knock-off and sell it for $600 for profit. I paid almost $700 for those pairs. My online glasses are better quality than theirs.
