Made an appt for eye exam, planning to get contact lenses and eye glasses. After arriving and…read morewaiting approx 20 minutes, and 10 minutes after my scheduled time, the receptionist said she just realized I was a new patient and needed to fill out forms. I completed them and after waiting another 15-20 minutes I was told they could only do an exam for glasses and I would have to schedule an additional appt for contact lens fitting because the only person capable of doing this works on only two days. Why was I not scheduled with that person initially since I told the office I was coming in for contact lenses and glasses. What chaos and disorganization. I left after wasting more than 90 minutes between travel and waiting. I will not waste time doing business with such a sloppy practice. Don't waste your time, go somewhere else.

I used to go to this place for years. People are nice enough in person, but I discovered that they…read moreweren't honoring any of my insurance benefits about a year ago. I spoke with insurance and they confirmed--ended up costing me hundreds of dollars. They always would tell me I needed an exam, even when I had already had one recently. I just had to call them again for my RX information so I could order online. Guy on the phone told me it expired and I can't order lenses anywhere. I reminded him that all RXs are extended due to covid. He told me I was wrong and I missed the grace period. I called Visionworks immediately after. They said RX was still good due to covid. Contacts are already in the mail. Again, nice enough people when you see them, but they tell me I need an exam literally every time I speak to them, or they charge me full for lenses and ignore my benefits. Will not go here again.

My rating is based on several visits, for both me and my child. The good - the doctor was patient…read moreand knowledgeable, taking her time and very personable. The office is clean and usually punctual. Based on this I had referred my husband and others to the practice. The unfortunate - my 6 year old was evaluated and in dire need of glasses. There was not much inventory for a young child so I left having been advised that they'd have more samples in a few days and I'd get an email or text with the styles to evaluate in advance. This was 12/9. I waited several days, then began to follow up... phone calls, voicemail, text messages...absolutely no reply. None. I figured holiday hours and schedules could warrant a delayed response... but it's now 12/30 and still no response. My husband went in person to perhaps see if they were closed and maybe forgot to update their voicemail... and to our surprise the office was open! There was no acknowledgement of my numerous attempts for outreach, and even asked if I wanted to wait for the new samples to come in...um, no! My child needs these to see, and it's already been 3 weeks!! Mistakes happen, but good customer service and communication goes a long way, and this was totally absent from my recent experience. Needless to say, I asked for the prescription and will be filling it elsewhere.

A life-changing and eye-opening experience. For years, I tolerated the big box "eye care"…read moreexperience due to the convenience and "affordability." However, after moving to N. Andover, I decided to seek a new eye care provider, and fortunately, I discovered Family Eye Care and Dr. Patti. Today, I have an entirely new perspective on eye care and the importance of finding a practice that takes the time to educate its patients and invests in the latest technology to ensure its patients receive the best care. No dilatations and puffs of air make the experience even better. Unbeknownst to me, I have been tolerating FINE contacts, as I've been wearing the same brand for a decade. Now, I have a new look on life and have learned a great deal about my eyes and how to care for them and adequately handle my contacts to ensure they feel great! Highly recommend this practice -- you'll be pleased with your decision to take your vision seriously.
