It has turned into a tourist magnet over the past 10 years and the place is small and crowded with people who can't figure out how to pass each other while browsing. The prices are very high, but what isn't lately? I don't really feel compelled to buy anything here because it's hard to navigate the small overcrowded parking lot without getting hit as it is, let alone carrying a big tree. My daughter did buy some nice hanging plants.

People with allergies beware: due to the old building, the cats, and the plants, this may trigger sensitivities. All that aside, if I'm hopping around Southern NH, I'd be sure to check this place out.

AND they have fresh fish, ice cream, honey, and assorted other munchables as well. When's the last time I've seen anything like that at a nursery? Never, that's when. Their plants are super healthy and everything from them has thrived. The only point that could be better is the entrance. No turn-in area off of 101 so you have to wait and hope nobody rear ends you as you wait to enter. That's presuming you're going south on 101. North is no problem. Oh, and they deliver and will also plant for you if you wish it. Pretty much everything you could want - they've got it!

I was disappointed with my experience at this local nursery. Shortly after I arrived, an employee…read morewas outside with his dog, and after I mentioned I had a dog in my car, his dog jumped up on my vehicle and interacted with my dog through the open window. Although he called his dog off, it was still an uncomfortable start. I was also told the nursery didn't open until 10:00 a.m. but since he was there I could shop, even though an open flag was displayed, which only added to the confusion. The employee's response was curt and dismissive when I tried to make friendly conversation. Once inside, nothing was priced, which made shopping difficult. The plants also looked less than desirable and overpriced for their condition. I ended up buying a planter for $47 because I felt obligated after the interaction. Foolish Me! I should have just left, but that is not how I was raised. I always try to support local small businesses. Customers should also know that paying by credit card instead of cash comes with an additional fee. When I was leaving, his dog was circling around my car which again made for an uncomfortable situation leaving. Between the unfriendly service, lack of pricing, high prices, and extra card charge, I left disappointed and will not return.

They didn't have that but they said they could sell us Sedum 'Blue Elf' which has the same spread-rate and would do the job. After we picked up the plants and installed them, we realized that there were 54 'non-spreading' Sedums and only ONE of the correct variety! When we complained that what they sold us wouldn't actually spread, they said that's all they had. No apology, and no help. I made a few phone calls and found that I could buy 50 Sedum 'Dragon's Blood' plants from another nursery for less than ONE-QUARTER the price of Almo's! I bought a hundred. She seemed annoyed and took me outside and pointed to a few places and went back inside. I really hope the owner reads his reviews.
