The woman checking in wife said both have very good food. If you want something from the grill in the morning, you need to go to the cafe. The main restaurant only serves continental breakfast (grab-and-go). You can walk between restaurants in less than two minutes. I bought a yogurt parfait at the main restaurant and ordered a breakfast sandwich at the other. My sandwich was cooked to order and came to me so hot I could barely hold it ( a good thing). The taste was very good. Prices are what you would pay at a local restaurant except you don't tip here. I don't come to the hospital often, but I will plan to eat here the next time I do.

First of all - Doire distillery and Cask and Wine deserve a medal for their public service during the Covid pandemic. For many people and towns in New Hampshire, the shortage and scarcity of disinfectant agents took towns and first responders by surprise. Doire Distillery turned its production into disinfectant material to be distributed to localities in New Hampshire. For many localities in the state, Doire was a lifeline. They deserve thanks and praise. For me, I hope good karma follows them forever. We got here and proceeded to their distillery section, which is divided from the restaurant by a sliding partition. There was an impressive offering of on-site made distilled liquors and beer, "moonshine" whiskey, bourbon, tequila, rum, gin, IPAs, lager, you name it. We had a wonderful tasting of minute servings of about 12 different distilled liquors. All are superb. To clean the palate, we ordered home baked soft pretzels with a beer cheese dip. The pretzels were amazing, baked to order and steaming fresh. We bought several bottles of their selections to take home. The ambiance at the bar was genuinely chill, friendly, animated. The owner's beautiful dog, Chubacca, made the rounds acting like between a welcome wagon and a companion dog to everyone. There was lively conversation between the tables, it was like a group of friends together at the place. At 6 PM, we closed the tab at the bar and headed into the dining room for some of the best food we've had in a long time. It is worth mentioning that one of the most renowned party balloon artisans in the country, Joe Tombarello, was there just practicing his art at the restaurant, keeping the children amazed and happy. Upon hearing that we were celebrating our friend's birthday, he made an amazing balloon hat, reminiscing of the famous Princess Beatrice's "toilet seat" hat she wore at the Royal wedding. It commanded the attention of the entire restaurant. Our appetizers for six included a couple of orders of the Steak and Cheese Eggrolls, with a delicious cream cheese flavored filling. Then came the Braised Lamb Enpanadas, succulently flavored with a horseradish infused aioli. Finally, the General Gau's Arancini, chicken rice balls with Hoisin sauce flavor. We couldn't determine which of the appetizers were the best; they were all absolutely delicious. Then came time for main courses. Two of us had the Flat Iron Steak, accompanied by blue cheese fries and rosemary fig demiglace. Two had the Statler Chicken, finger-licking good. And two had the Butternut Squash Ravioli, a heavenly concoction with figs, basil and pomegranate filling and a sauce to call the heavens. For libations, cocktails and local wine were plentiful. Dinner was without a doubt, totally delicious. Memorable. Best way to celebrate a birthday.

Outside, it looks nothing like the classic New England train car style or New Jersey stainless steel style diners, but inside are countertop with stools, booths around the outskirts, and the hustle and bustle giving it a strong diner vibe. Like my visits to many diners, I was here on my patty melt quest. -- Patty Melt: First, the composition is faithful to the prototype, with a quarter pound patty (no smashburger nonsense), rye bread (no sourdough decoy), buttered (not merely toasted), and with the classic Swiss cheese, sautéed onions and thousand Island dressing. No fusion, no reinvention, no omissions, no hipster jive. Good crispness and butteriness on the bread, great melt on the cheese, and noticeable softness to the onions. Most importantly, the beef could be ordered medium rare, and they executed. More softness, with gushing juices and a really pleasing bite. I suspect nothing special to start with, but they cooked it to near perfection. Only quibble would be not much crust to the patty, but not as critical on a patty melt. -- Fries: I could have had tots or a few other options, but fries were fine. Almost certainly frozen, but the skin-on variety and not the dreaded coated kind. Nothing special, but good enough. Service was adequate.
