Overpriced and pushy. I purchased jewelry there only to find out that it was worth half of what they said.

Polished my band and it looks brand new. I'm am MORE than thrilled. The price was fair and amazing quality I then brought two antique rings which were passed down that I have not worn since they were not my size. Got those sized and they look fantastic. Customer service was impressive. Turn around time what much quicker than I imagined. Appraisals are detailed and nicely done. I will NOT be going anywhere else. Such a gem!

However, one of their services listed they offer are appraisals, which I would not use them for. I walked in with some odd ends from my jewelry box that I didn't want to just throw away, but I also knew weren't worth much. I figured combined, I could melt the pieces down and make something small and new. Unfortunately, it was a bit of an embarrassing and insulting 5 minutes, which is probably even more time than he actually spent with us. He moved through them so quickly he noted two pieces were silver and nothing more, I had them reappraised knowing they were both white gold and did get confirmation that they were in fact white gold, not silver. While I'm not disappointed by the response that the pieces weren't worth much, something I already knew, I again was hoping I could scrap them and reuse the white gold (he called silver), diamond and blue topaz stones potentially, even if they were worth less than $100, thats mine to decide how to use. But because it wouldn't equate to enough to make something he thought was worth his time, he said hold on to them you can't reuse them. Had he given me more time than he did, I would have added that I was going to pay to have something remade, and given him more business, like I had in the past. I just wanted to use the old stone and metal some how if I could toward a new piece, not expecting that scrap metal to cover the cost by any means. However, when I was treated in a way that felt embarrassing, I didn't want to give them my business anymore. You can be honest and not be insulting, you also could attempt to do an appraisal with dignity and respect toward the customer.

If its broke , take it to Cardin Jewelers !!…read more I had an almost 30 year old prism ball , and as I motioned for another car to pass , so did my prism ball , and the small metal piece that was used to hang it from the chain was gone. I looked everywhere , but nowhere was it to present itself. Knowing my car would probably fall apart without my good luck prism , so my first thought was go to Cardin Jewelers , they will know what to do. They did , Kathy was so kind as to fabricate a small ring so I could reattach it to the chain. Thank you Kathy , your kindness is truly unmatched. Gary

Years ago I went into their lovely store after window shopping and saw a sign about making a wish…read morefor your husband to buy for you, clever, I thought. I picked out pale green emerald earrings. When my May birthday was getting close, I hinted for my hubby to go there. When he did, someone suggested deeper emerald green thus a tiny size to be similar in cost. I was disappointed but acted appreciative. I wore them that day then added them to my fine wooden jewlery box untiil I would trade them for my original pick as any shade of green works for me and that was the Cardin deal. The day I visited Cardin, a middle aged thin lady w glasses, inspected my emerald green tiny, child size earrings stating one had a crack!! This was not visible to the naked eye and I told her how they had been stored carefully only wearing them once. I know the jewler who put the prongs must have been responsible, not me but she flat out refused to make the promised trade. It still bothers me to this day and never purchased from Cardin again. I recently gave them to my 10 yr old granddaughter. Bring a jewrey loop when purchasing a gem. Buyer

I brought in my antique engagement ring that was incorrectly resized by a previous jeweler…read moreresulting in an oval shank. I had concerns about the ring spinning despite resizing. Gary inspected the ring in great detail and made a recommendation to remove some of the shank and rebuild it, as well as to place tension springs to prevent spinning and slipping. He took his time to measure my finger for the optimal fit. I was told by another jeweler that all of my prongs needed replacement and I wanted a second opinion. Gary again took his time to inspect all the prongs and reassured me that they didn't need replacement. I was very glad for his honesty. The next business day, Gary fixed the ring in 3-4 hours and it came out beautifully. I was so nervous previously to entrust someone with my ring, but I felt at ease. Gary offered that I stay and watch the entire process. He told me to inspect my gemstone carefully after his job was complete as general good practice after having my jewelry worked on! I am so happy with the end result and strongly recommend this jeweler. The key factors that impressed me most were honesty, trustworthiness, attention to detail, patience, mastery of his craft, and sharing of knowledge/providing an understandable rationale for his decision-making. I will absolutely be returning for intermittent ring checks!
