Very bad selection of fresh produce. (Looked like it was shot at and hit.) After waiting an exorbitant amount of time in the express lane the cashier stuck her finger into, and threw, my ground beef. I brought it to her attention and it appeared that she thought it was amusing. I didn't have time to run and replace it... Worst place to work and shop. This store as a employee is more disorganized than anything I've seen managers either never there or don't do anything, employees are forced to do almost everything around the store even if it's not our department, and even doing team leads jobs for less pay, but okay service as they treat us to stuff here and there but don't be fooled this Walmart is absolutely hell outside of a customer so as a employee I feel y'all, understaffed like a mf because of relentless firing employees or people quitting because of favoritism and hard labor it's almost being a slave, working outside in cold weather doing stuff for hours with no bonus, they don't offer ANY overtime unless you're a team lead or higher and no payraise, online grocery pick up is lazy half of the time and make more than seasonal, cashiers regular floor workers who are the ones who are the most consistent employees. This is the closest Walmart to my house sometimes if I feel like it I'll drive to the one by the airport because I know they'll have everything I need. Every time I come to this Walmart it doesn't matter what time of the day it is there always out of something I need there's always 2 registers opened and the self checkout and most of the time their messed up 1 morning around 9 I went and the only registers open was self checkout and there was a line so we had to wait 10 minutes to checkout. Maybe they just care because it's Walmart they also have people walking in the doors but guess what I only go now a few times a month Safeway and target gets my money now and I alway walk out happy read more

Just spent 40 minutes in the Walmart on Ritchie Hwy Pasadena. 20 minutes was shopping for the items we wanted, and 20 minutes was in line. When it was obvious we would spend another 20 minutes minimum still in line we moved to the self serve line. It appeared that everyone had this idea before us. We ended up placing our items in a bin near the line and departing frustrated and angry. Issues: - time was 1130 on Friday 02 Jun 2017. Probably not a time the store is slammed but only having 3 cashiers was ridiculous. - we were in cashier line #6, the cashier had zero motivation. When she needed a price check or to ask someone a question she just left her post without any explanation and slowly meandered back without any concern about the customers or the reputation of the company - I thought management should know that their Customer Service was horrible so I looked for a supervisor. When none was readily available or apparent I went to Customer Service. There were 2 employees working Customer Service, each with a customer. There was another 8+ people in line. Solution - went to Target, staffing was appropriate, cashier was efficient and professional, I was in & out in 15 minutes. Sure I probably paid $1 more on a $40 purchase, but it was worth it. This is a review about the Grocery Pickup service at Supercenter #5382 in Pasadena, MD. I hate to sound like a Karen, but this is one of the worst customer service experiences I have had. And as some one who has worked retail/customer service for over 20 years I cant imagine doing anything like this. I am a person with increased risk of a severe reaction from COVID due to other medical issues. As such I decided to try the Walmart Pickup and Delivery service to try to avoid the crowds. I placed the order and it was supposed to be ready 2 days later between 6 and 7 pm. I received an email shortly before 6pm that day saying my order was being prepared. So I drove the 25ish minutes to the store, arriving at about 6:30. I arrived and tried to check in through the app but was unable to. I tried calling the number on the signs to alert the staff I was there for pick up but after 6 or so tries it went straight to voicemail, which was full. The app now gave an update saying the order was delayed. After a while some one came out to get our name for the order. I returned to the car after about 20 minutes and then waited for about 2 more hours for the order. During this time no pick up attendants came out to fill any orders or check on anyone, but I did see them peek out the window in the door many times. They app still said delayed. a little after 8pm I tried calling the number on the sign again and it would just go to voicemail. I tried calling the store to talk to customer service but no one would answer and it would eventually go to a different department. First electronics who tried to send me back to customer service and then to Sporting goods. The guy working at sporting goods was very friendly and was actually helpful in telling me about the pick up service. He said how they were super busy today but that they stopped fulfilling orders at 8pm. I thanked him for his help and honestly I want to make sure he gets credit for his good customer service. At this time it was almost 8:30pm. I went to the door and was told that pick up was closed for the night, but no one had alerted me or the other 6 or so people waiting for orders. I can understand if they were just very busy and unable to fulfil the order that night, but this lack of communication was incredibly bad customer service. I went and told the other people waiting that they were not filling any more orders for the night. This next morning I received an email at 8am that my order was ready for pick up but about half of the items I wanted were not available and substitutions were made. I drove to the store and arrived at around 1:25pm. I called and was able to get through to some one to let them know we were there. After waiting another 90 minutes I called back and was told we were next order by a very rude woman. 30 minutes later a man came out to get our names again. at this point I called corporate customer service and canceled my order. Frustrated, and since I still needed the groceries I went in to the store and was able to get all of my items including most of the items I was told were out of stock and were substituted in less that 20 minutes. I avoided the other shoppers as best I could but no one seems to follow the floor directions. Since then I spoke with an assortment of customer service reps for Pickup and delivery, and was offered a $10 promo code towards my next pick up order. Considering my experience, I will not be using the $10 pickup credit offered as I will never use that service again. the Pickup customer service told me to contact the normal customer service for an in store credit. And honestly $10 for waiting over 4 hours, plus another 90 minutes driving back and forth twice, and the gas spent on driving is almost worse than not being offered anything. I have also spoken with at least 4 regular walmart customer service as well, both over the phone and online. I was told that they cannot help me as they can not access my order and I must contact the Pick up customer service, even after I told them what those reps said. I had 2 different online reps just leave chat after telling me that without giving me a chance to respond. I have also called the store and asked to speak with the manager, which I hate to do. I was told by the customer service person at the store that they would page him. a few minutes later I was told he was not in today and they would not tell me when to call back to speak with him. I left my name and number and was told he would call me back the next day. That was 2 days ago. I have never before been brushed off by every single avenue at trying to contact a company about an issue. This all would not have been a problem if ANYONE in the pick up department had come out to update all of us waiting for our orders that we would have to come back tomorrow. Or at least had the app give up that message. The lack of communication was terrible. read more

This Walmart has employees that should not be in customer service. my daughter left her wallet at the register didn't notice until she got home. I called while she went back to the store and the guy who answered said he would look for it only after I asked him to, then he hung up on me! my daughter gets there and they said no one turned it in not offering to check the registers or with their cashiers. Then she asks if she can speak with someone else and they told her to go to the dressing room! Idiots, not one person would help her look. read more

Never enough cashiers at this location and they are way too slow to call up additional cashiers from the floor when the lines back up. Was there yesterday and only had 3 lines open with 10 plus people in each line. Took them 10-15 minutes to open up more registers.Stay away from here at up coming Christmas season it will be a long wait to check out. Going back to quarterfield rd location, much better service and store is better stocked as well. read more

Terrible experience! Only two lanes open which is typical of Walmart. But the one cashier kept leaving to help the other instead of calling the manager for help. The register had no till so card only. Then when I asked if they were ever going to get the line moving they said yes go to the next line over we will open it, but then the cashier just walked away. At that point I'd been in line for 30 minutes and had enough and left. Will never shop here again. read more

Worst store in the area. Shelves aren't stocked, employees on their phones or talking in groups. When you ask a question they look at you like you distracted them from their conversation. The management needs an overhaul, employees need to remember they work for a living and get paid by corporate. Really too bad....someone from the district should surprise them with a secret shopper. Poor Service! I always come and do my groceries here. This is what happen 4/1/18 around 6pm. I was at self chekout and press the assistance. MICHELLE whos in duty told me SARCASTICALY and VERY RUDELY that i have to carry those 35btls of greatvalue of purified water up to be able to scan it, (never ever experienced it) Instead of carrying, my son and i decided to tear up the tracking number and scan it, Common , Its not a big deal for me to carry those waters, But please You have to say it in GOOD MANNERs, That is why walmart picked you. MOLDY/SPOILED FOOD ON 3 SEPARATE OCCASIONS; EXTREMELY RUDE SERVICE; POSSIBLE CREDIT CARD SKIMMERS: MOLDY FOOD: When they first opened, I bought a big yogurt at the Pasadena, MD, location, dated 10 days before expiration, got it home, it was green and fuzzy under the inside seal. I took it back. The manager questioned my return, and had to see the seal wasn't removed inside, before she gave me a refund!!! [I had to actually tell the genius not to open it to avoid letting the mold spores out]. She first asked me to exchange instead of returning, but all the other ones on the shelf were past the date (and still out on the shelf for sale). I stopped buying their dairy at that moment, but I still bought their fresh flaffel from the pricey section--until it came up moldy, too (can't see through the package before you buy it)!! I am thinking I probably should have called the county inspectors on them. Recently, I bought dog food there--it smelled different from how it normally does, but it's pre-packaged and not even refrigerated, so I trusted "logic" over my instinct and nose. I gave it to my dog, and he got colitis, and I got a sick dog and a $200 vet bill. RUDE SERVICE: One day I was looking at the baked section (which is mostly high fructose corn syrup crap), and the man behind the counter started narrating my shopping to the woman behind the counter--he said, "Is she going to go for it?? Is she going to be good today?" I didn't even assume he was talking about me at first, but when he addressed me as "baby", and said some things to me directly, then I realized they were mocking me the whole time! He's lucky I'm civilized, b/c he deserved to have the cake thrown at his face! CARD SKIMMERS?: One last thing, last November, my credit card info was stolen. Walmart was the only place I shopped that day, and overnight the thieves started charging away on the internet. I heard skimmers had been previously found at this location. Now I grab the card readers and give them a pull to check that there's no skimmer attached before I use my credit card at this walmart. read more

It's just okay. I went two days after opening and had a fantastic experience. The store was clean. Shelves were stocked. Employees were super helpful. Fast forward a week later. The store has succumbed to typical Walmart chaos. The cashier was slow and ignored me while carrying on a conversation with a woman behind me. The children's clothing shelves were a disaster! I also went Black Friday shopping, but had a fairly good experience. I thoroughly appreciated the large police presence. I really wish there were multiple entrances to the store. The parking lot fills up quick. I was appalled at the food prices. My neighborhood grocery store has better deals. Target has better deals! It's close and convenient, but hardly worth dealing with a typical Walmart experience. read more

I went to this location on Thanksgiving eve trying to purchase several half gallons of ice cream and Popsicles for the kids at my home for thanksgiving. It was around 8 pm. The MANAGER told me I had to wait in the Black Friday line to purchase the ice cream. When I held the ice cream up and said I only have ice cream she said I had to wait in the line ... The lines were to the back of the store AND the self check out was not open to regular customers. Needless to say I handed the manager the ice cream and walked out. I haven't been back since. Went to pick up my one hour photo order. Since I placed the order online 2 days ago I figured there'd be no problem. Store employee told me their photo printer happened to go down that day and there was "a 50/50 chance" my order was printed. He also had no idea when the problem would be fixed. I'm 66 yrs old and rely on my brother to transport me to the store. I see a small Danby freezer on line at Walmart in Severn, Maryland. I called to see if they had it in stock. I was on the phone 26 minutes and STILL never go to the appliance section - After all that time I was hung up on ! I read all these Negative reviews about CUSTOMER SERVICE. There is NO customer service at Wal-Mart ! Rude, ignorant, nasty people on the phone and several as cashiers too. I had one cashier drop my 3 tomatoes about a foot into the bag. I said nicely, "Yikes - when you drop the tomatoes from up high like that they bruise and get mushy" She gave me a dirty look, said nothing and kept on scanning my items. Really want to give -0- stars. So disappointed. Ordered the 6ft sub for my daughters Baby shower. I order all of them made up, let, onion, mayo, and the lady that helped me said u should get two of them plain (it comes in 6 12 in subs) cuz some ppl don't like onions, ect... I said good idea well when I went to pick up the subs none of them were made, all plain.. Needless to say I was upset, the girl said she would have to go get a manager if I wanted them made up.. It took her over 20 mins to go get a manager. By then I was running late and took the subs as is. plus the lettuce that came with it looked like grass. I bought more lettuce and used their lettuce as decorations. Never will I ever buy anything for a party from Wal-mart again.. Almost ruined my day, but I wouldn't let it. read more
