I am so happy with my delivery 8/5. wonderful delivery driver. I am only giving four stars because sometimes they don't deliver all of my items. I got all of my items+1 substitution. one of my favorite things is the Great Value mixed fruit. the Garnier hair dye is 8.78. what a steal. good produce. nice selection of cut up fruit. large selection of family dinners. there's a lot of meatless choices, which is nice. This store has the absolute worst customer service. I don't shop here often and that's one of the reasons. Today I was looking for something specific in the vitamin area and was not finding it. I asked one of the two women who were stocking the shelves (and blocking the shelves with their big cart) if she has seen Krill Oil. She just smirked at me and moved the cart over a few inches. The other woman walked up and spoke to her in another language that was not familiar to me. Apparently neither of them speaks English. Ok, guess I'll have to find it myself. I searched the area that was behind the cart and saw some krill oil on the very bottom shelf. There were 5 boxes of the one I wanted but every single one of the boxes was cut open at the top! I'm certainly not going to buy a product that has been cut open. I gave up on the krill oil and decided to get the next item on my list. On the next aisle over I asked another woman wearing a walmart vest if she could get something from the locked cosmetics cabinet for me. She said, "No, I can't." And started to walk away. I asked if she could tell me who could or call someone who could open it for me. Same answer, "No, I can't." What the -? As I looked at her incredulously, she tilted her head towards another employee 2 or 3 aisles down who was walking away in the opposite direction and said, "Maybe she can help you." Seriously? I had a terrible experience at this Walmart on March 15th at 11:03 AM. I requested assistance in the makeup aisle, and when the associate (OP# 002606) arrived, she immediately said, 'I heard you,' even though I had not spoken to her. She then unlocked the case and told me she had to ring up my items right there, though she did NOT require this of the customers before me. I wasn't even done shopping, but I politely responded, 'I understand,' and pointed to another case. In total, I only spoke seven words to her, yet she had an attitude the entire time. After paying, I saw my items weren't bagged. When I asked for a bag, she condescendingly said it was 10 cents--implying I couldn't afford it, even after spending nearly $40. This isn't about race to me, but it was clear it was to her. I came to buy lotion and makeup, not for a weird interaction with someone who clearly has a problem with people who aren't the same skin color as them. read more

What makes this photo acceptable to display milk in the dairy dept? This is disgusting. There is many many flaws with merchandise on the shelves, box cutter cuts, squished items. I picked up a bag of shredded cheese and it all fell out and scattered. The cashiers are the rudest of many, employees picking merchandise will run into you in the aisle and not even acknowledge you. This store really needs to be reviewed by higher uppers, if they cared. I have so many issues with this store and Walmart in general. But I will definitely go to Winco in the future. The employees really need some customer service training and be held accountable and if I didn't mention it, the bakery staff are rude and don't acknowledge your presence, they group up together and just gossip and complain about taking a break. read more

Came in to get my nephew a couple of things. One of the items was a Lego set that was behind the glass door. The employee named Matt over at the photo department had come to help and to take the Lego set behind the counter until we were done looking around. When we went to go check out, Matt was real rude. When one of the items that nephew wanted didn't have a barcode, Matt did not offer to go look or have someone go look. When we came back to the register to finish, he then tried to accuse me of stealing. He claimed that he holding on to something for that I didn't have. When asked what the two items were, he gave a bit of an attitude and then proceeded to tell me and my mom the total. Clearly Matt doesn't know the meaning of customer service. Before leaving my mom and I went to go talk to manager and told her what had happened. She did apologize and said that she would talk to him and the manager of the photo department would talk home as well. The only reason I am giving the this store two stars is because the manager that my mom had spoken to had apologized about the customer service that was given. read more

Horrible customer service, stupid policy, and not at all safe area. Go there for some cologne for a Christmas gift, it's locked up, which is fine and to be expected. I asked the lady who got it for me why it cost more than advertised online, and asked if they would honor their online price. She said (and I quote), "as long as it's available online, we can price match". By the time I get to the register, a different lady was there. Asked about the price adjustment, and she was unfriendly, unprofessional, and to be honest a little trashy waving around her unreasonably long fake nails saying, "we don't price match OURSELVES"... (also another quote, although all caps on "ourselves" to emphasize the stupidity in such a statement) I'm sorry, you don't price match Walmart.com... at Walmart?!? I have been doing grocery pickup at this Walmart store since I moved to Orangevale 3.5 years ago. I have lost count of how many times they have given me expired food/rotten meat. AND MISSING ITEMS. And check this - if they give you expired food in a Pick-up order, they expect to to go back to the store, park your car and stand in line for 35 mins to return a rotten product they supplied in your pickup order. I have called and complained multiple times and AGAIN today - 3 missing items in my order totaling $15 + change. I go online to their "customer service chat" and the they tell me they "have to escalate my request" then they ended the chat. WHAT THE HELL is going on at this store? Where is management and supervision? I'm just about done with shopping at Walmart. I'll just pay extra and use Safeway pickup. They NEVER rip me off or screw up. read more

I am disabled and I can only shop with the aid of an electric shopping cart. They have 3 that are never in service. The greeter raised his voice to tell me that they were still out of service and when I left the store he tried to step in front of me. Rude staff running the cosmetics section last night! My sister is trying to get a dove pump soap and she was looking for the smallest bottle she can find since she is only in town for a month and she cant bring it back home, the lady was stand right by her looking like she just really do not want to be there, so my sister found the tiniest bottle she can find at the top shelf she asked her husband to reach it for her instead since the lady looked so miserable at her job but the bottle didnt have a price tag so my sister ended up asking her anyway, and then instead of answering what the price is and helping she gave the most condescending rude question "why would you reach all the way up there when you have one right in front of you??" first of, how is she supposed to know that right away and you were watching us the entire time so my sister is so nice and just apologized but she just grabbed the soap from my sister's hands and said i'll put this away since the top is unstable and left. For a Walmart..this place is MUCH nicer than the ones I've been too. Compare this to Arden and Florin, I generally enjoy this location a lot more. Parking: Pretty good, typical Walmart parking. The spaces aren't too tight, but drivers here drive a little fast, so be careful when backing out. Service: The employees here try to keep everything organized and clean. I commend them as Walmart is huge. Quality of Food: My boyfriend and I went grocery shopping here. Surprisingly our food was fresh and delicious. The pricing was similar to Winco, but our milk and vegetables did not expire as quick as it would at Winco. Overall would come here again if I was in the area! Its been awhile since I have been in Wal-Mart during the day. I can't believe what a zoo it was. The store has taken away all its social distancing policy except wearing masks. Solicitors blocking the doors wanting signatures. The store was crowded. The return items room was so crowded that there was six feet between the customers. . This Walmart is decent. It's what you should expect from a Walmart. My only gripes are the wait times and the overall service. Any time I've needed to go to the customer service desk, it has ALWAYS been a longer wait than preferred. Average wait time ranges from 5-10 minutes. I've also been in line when a customer behind me shouted at the worker that he should call more associates to come help. There's usually only one working back there at a time during the many times I've come in to do any returns/exchanges. The wait for a line at checkout is usually okay. I sometimes use self check, but don't mind waiting a couple minutes for a real person. Sometimes the dressing rooms are difficult to get into, as there's sometimes no one around to let you in, but still better than other Walmarts nearby. Still, I'd give it 4/5 stars in comparison to other Walmarts. read more

Customer Service = Customer Respect When doing my weekly shopping I usually drop in from time to time to pick up a few items here but never again. On Saturday night around 7 pm I purchased six items and upon leaving the store I was astonished that I had to wait in a line to leave! There was an associate checking each receipt of customers who were leaving. (I want it noted that she was not rude but only doing a job that management has directed her to do.) To have to wait to leave after making a purchase while being treated as a common criminal is way over the line! Tell you what Walmart, hire and train security to move about the store and go after thieves and leave decent honest customers alone. This Walmart is my absolute favorite. I want to start by appreciating Kymm in Customer Service. I come to get my rent from her every month and she is always friendly, easy to interact with, and her style is awesome. Kymm makes getting rent each month fun. I want to also appreciate Larry who works the Christmas tree area. He went above and beyond to help me find a black Christmas tree that the system showed was on the floor but wasn't. He searched the back until he found me one. This Walmart might be farther from my house but the employees make the drive worth it! read more

I have been going to this Walmart for years as a customer. And I always had problems there with the management and customer service. This time on 6/07/2024 I had to deal with prejudice management all because i have a Slavic last name and they were too lazy to do there job do to money order I was trying cash they gave me extremely hard time and did not help me at all just made the situation a nightmare. I dealt with prejudice most of my life due to my Slavic last name and color of my skin. You see prejudice can come in all kinds of situations and pretty much as you can see prejudice can come from anybody. I don't appreciate the way I was treated at customer service and I can tell you that that was a moment of hate and prejudice and management lack of help out a customer. Pretty disappointed because I have been going to that Walmart for years at least 13 years since I live here locally in Orangevale. Bottom line I was offended and I m not happy the way they brought racism and prejudice right to my face! I don't appreciate this service being refused service due to the money order so they discriminate against me all because of my skin tone and my Slavic last name. read more

I feel like that Walmart is really no different from any other big shopping store, but perhaps they have some kind of incense in the air that makes kids go freaking insane (lose all control and feel the need to scream and chase each other). Maybe it's in the air, maybe it's just a contact high I really don't know. Every time I've been there I see kids screaming, chasing, playing and utterly going crazy there. I don't really have an issue with this since my mission whenever I go into a Walmart is get in and get out with what I need ASAP. They always have good prices and a big selection. It's just the random things that happen there you hear about on TV or the internet that really give a bad taste for me at least. This location is super clean and well organized. If you looking for back to school supplies...the selection is huge and prices super cheap. The guy sitting down greeting people was not creepy, but a normal older guy. This Walmart is no where close to my home, but b/c the Roseville one didn't have what I was looking for, I came here on the way to a friend's house. Surprisingly, they have adequate stock here. I got most of what I was looking for and then was on my way. It wasn't too bad of an experience. The parking lot is kind of small and the lanes narrow for being a Walmart Supercenter, and the location quite ghetto, but I didn't run into anyone super weird or scary, (it also helps that my husband was with me so I felt safe) and not any more "People of Walmart" types of people here than the Roseville store. In fact, this Saturday afternoon shopping trip here was actually quieter (the store here less crowded) than the store in Roseville. They had some problem processing some coupons I used b/c the register isn't so smart, but the cashier just made sure my coupons matched the right items (and they did), and then got the manager to approve anything that the register couldn't handle for whatever reason. Both the cashier and manager were nice and friendly so it was ok. I don't live around here but this Walmart isn't any worse than other ones in my area and I try to shop Walmart as little as possible. read more

It's a Walmart - nothing special. Store seems a bit emptier than in the past. Lines are always long, but prices are low at least. Most of the employees here aren't friendly at all. I've tried speaking Russian with them, but they usually just provide one word responses even when I try to converse in their language. Oh well, I'm glad I don't shop here regularly or I'd probably starting drinking vodka more regularly due to all the cold stares and blank faces one can expect to get from employees. One nice thing is that it doesn't seem like they move items around the store as often as I've noticed in other locations. I think this is because this isn't that big of a Walmart when compared to Walmart's in towns where they're the only store. I ordered groceries from Walmart 2 days ago to be delivered. The delivery went smoothly, however whoever picked out the groceries did a very sloppy job and I am owed a refund. Problem is I can't get ahold of anyone in that department as they don't answer the phone. I did not receive 3 of the items I ordered and two of the items I ordered were spoiled. I also did not get a receipt; however I was charged the same amount of money that showed on my order form. My hope is that a regional manager or someone from corporate in Arkansas reads this. I would give Wal Mart Orangevale ZERO stars if I could. Earlier today I went to this store to shop for some household items as I normally do every Saturday. As I proceeded to their self-check out with my cart, this big and rude behemoth African-American woman with braids (who I shall not name) jumps in front of my cart grabbing it and pushing it to the register she wanted me to use. I pointed to the register I was wanting to use and she told me it was closed when clearly it wasn't. I asked her to take her hands off my cart and to leave me alone and she continued to berate me with her loud intimidating voice forcefully pushing my cart to the register she wanted me to use. I cannot speak on behalf of all of their store employees, but this one had extremely poor customer service skills and had absolutely no business interacting with paying customers. I have no idea what Wal Mart's policies are when hiring employees, but I hope hired applicants are drug tested with a background check for the sake of customer safety and liability. It was very unfortunate I had to deal with a mentally disturbed employee with psychological issues who was disrespectful and physically confrontational for no reason. From now on, I will shop at Target because I truly believe this woman is deranged and dangerous. I would not be surprised if I see this woman's mugshot on the late night news someday for assaulting a customer. With that being said, I am afraid to go back. Pros 1. Sells 3 lb bags of real lemons (not the GMO Meyer Lemons). 2. The 3 lb bags of real lemons are typically $2.98. :-) 3. Sells Toulamook cheeses at almost the same price as Winco. 4. Sells Pure Protein bars in bulk at lowest price in the Sacto Region. Pure Protein bars have 20 grams of whey protein, which is the real protein. This Walmart store sells the Pure Protein bars in boxes with 6-bar size $6.96 and12 bars for $13.46. :-) 5. Senior citizens working at the store as greeters and cashiers. Bravo to Walmart for recognizing the benefits in employing mature people with a strong work ethic and class. :-) 6. Bathrooms strictly for females and a separate bathroom for men. Walmart gets two thumbs up on this one. :-) . . . Cons 1. Would not quantify this store as a super center. 2. Store isle's are often too narrow, making it difficult for people pass each other. :-( 4. I guess I really shouldn't have expected great customer service, but I surely was surprised by the extremely shitty service from both the 19 year-old manager and "Betty" with the bangs and blue highlights (by the way "Betty" I almost passed out from the cheap vodka fumes coming out of your mouth). I will never set foot in this store, or any Walmart store ever again. Even if I have to pay 100% more or drive 100 miles further, this shitshow of a corporation will never get another dime from me. This shouldn't be called a Supercenter, because it kind of small and missing a lot of items. I've been over there 6 times since it opened and they have never had what I was looking for. It's almost a joke now. It's not like I'm looking for real unusual items either. I really like the Wal-Mart up on Rocky Ridge. They have what I need and save me a trip. Orangevale Wal-Mart has proven to be a wasted trip every time. I think if they would get rid of the grocery store part of the store they would be more useful to the community. There are 4 grocery stores within 2 miles of this location. We don't need more groceries we need a useful Wal-Mart. read more
