I've never had a worse customer service experience than I did at this Walmart. Several employees were dismissive and unprofessional, and what bothered me most was the way they treated certain customers differently. Their behavior came across as prejudiced and discriminatory, which is completely unacceptable anywhere -- especially in a major retail store. Instead of helping or answering questions, the staff seemed more interested in mocking and stereotyping customers. The atmosphere felt unwelcoming and uncomfortable, and it was clear that respect and basic courtesy were not a priority here. Walmart needs to address this kind of conduct immediately. Customers deserve to be treated fairly, with professionalism and dignity -- not with bias or hostility. Until changes are made, I won't be returning to this location and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. They need to stop hiring kids with the same ugly hair cuts. read more

I lost a receipt for a purchase and needed to get one for finances. I called and was told that the person who can do that wasn't in, could I call back later. Sure. I called back and was put on hold for 25 minutes. Yes. I worked on other things while I waited. I hung up and called another department to speak with a Manager. 8 minutes passed before I hung up. So I went to Customer Service, and a young lady came out of an office, no smile, clearly I was interrupting whatever task she was doing. Asked what date. There's nothing here except these dates. She stated at me. No emotion whatsoever. I asked if this was the North Windham Walmart. Yes. Another person asked if it was the right card. I answered yes, it was my work card. A bit confused but I said thank you and left. I was a "Customer Service." I felt as if I was bothering her more than anything. I will not be returning. read more

The automotive care center at this location does quality work: the labor guys who actually do the maintenance work are efficient and do a great job. The manager, however, Brie is an offensive ill mannered rude girl with a horrible and insulting attitude. She has absolutely horrible customer service skills. This person should be fired, removed from being a manger. As a worker for a national company, you are representing the store, you do not have authority to harass and insult your payin customers whose oatronage pays your wages!!! The guys who work there are great. But Brie is a very bad employee, with a terrible customer service demeanor. A miserable wench who should be terminated. read more

This store does not carry hand baskets for shoppers. Only the big carts are available. Of course the prices are very competitive with online shopping sites (Amazon, etc.). Always a line at the checkout stands. I avoid shopping here on the weekends. Very good fruits and vegetables. Frozen food section is well stocked, also. I get my prescription glasses here but I bring them my prescription and pick out a frame. They send it out and about a week later I get my glasses. Quality and accuracy are fine. read more

Half of the store shelves were empty and at least 4 employees were sitting on the floor, playing on their personal phones. The self checkout guy (short, dark hair and on the chubby side) was a real dick. The worst customer service. I have been to this Wal-Mart location more times in recent memory than I think I would want to admit. Since this location is a Super Wal-Mart they have a full supermarket section in addition to all the stuff your typical Wal-Mart has. Me and the girlfriend try and go to this location once a week in order to do our grocery shopping. We will usually be your typical Senior Citizen couple and go out to eat first. While we sit down to eat we clip coupons from that past weekend. We also review all the local supermarket circulars because Wal-Mart will match any competitors sale price, although it seems like the Wal-Mart selling price is usually cheaper. The selection is surprisingly pretty good good. They have almost everything your typical Big Y or Stop and Shop type place has. Its really become so nice to do my grocery shopping at Wal-Mart because of their large selection of other stuff creates a huge time saver buying everything in one place. read more

As a Walmart Supercenter, it has everything you need, including groceries, all at their "everyday low prices." Nothing too surprising here. I just wish they were closer to downtown Willimantic -- If you rely on public transportation, you have to take the city bus to get here. Word to the wise: The grocery prices are not always the cheapest here. I would recommend driving 30 seconds down the street to Aldi. read more

Two separate days. Same young male at register. Both times he "wore" his mask not over his nose/mouth yet on his chin. He made no effort to correct thiS issue - even when asked. When asked if he realized the PPE was not effective if worn improperly, he actually responded, " it doesn't?" While walking out, we noticed other Walmart staff with masks dangling, working various locations/positions. So if Walmart can't assure staff are protecting themselves-let alone customers- how do we know they even properly clean the store? We dont. There Windham Automative tire services has gone downhill since the new manger took over. They refused to rotate and balance my tires stating I need front end work to address the shaking. My mechanic checked out my front end and found nothing wrong and said the tires had to be balanced to address the shaking issue. read more

SUPER Wal-mart with everything from the groceries to garden center, automotive to electronics. The closest Wal-mart with groceries to where I live. They have better prices on some items and I can pick up the other random items I need (smoker chips in spring even). read more

Used to love this store. The variety is severely lacking. The shelves are partially empty. Even the toy department is smaller, by a lot, than other Walmarts in the area. Are they closing? The auto service is using technicians are counter people and giving the excuse, there's not enough staff. Sadly they want you to buy product they can't support and the managers are basically telling you they CAN'T DO THEIR JOBS. Oh yeah... And they want me to bag my $400 purchases... This place is a hard meh. Usually have what I want and it serves its purpose. Nothing too extraordinary.

It's a hit or miss. My wife says they have a lot but nothing she is actually looking for. Unlike her favorite store Target. I like this Walmart, it is 24 hours to my knowledge, has a Dunkin Donuts as you walk in the Grocery entrance which is positive. They have a nicely laid out grocery department with just about everything. The rest of the store could use some help. read more

Considering this is a big box store, my standards for Wal-Mart are fairly low. If there was a store manager alive who could create a five star shopping experience here, I'd say they should run for office. As a rule, it's pretty easy to get all your shopping done here, but there are some aggravations. It seems like a good portion of the staff is constantly text messaging. Either Wal-Mart is embracing current technology, or they need to seriously crack down on the cell phone use. When you do need someone to help, you're better off on your own unless it's to get something unlocked in Jewelry or Electronics. The pharmacy is especially maddening with an obnoxiously long wait to pick up and drop off prescriptions. They've also made some questionable choices with people greeters.They can't actually help you, they just greet, robotically. The best people actually seem to be the ones on register. Some of the aisles are too narrow, like the paper goods aisle. All in all, I'd say if you're looking for attentive customer service, this is not the place for you. If you want to be left alone to get your shopping done, you should be just fine here. read more

i have been to many Walmarts, this is the cleanest, most helpful box store I have ever gone too....I do comparison shopping, and 99% are very efficient,and if someone doesn't get how to do it, the manager is quick to fix it! If they don't have it, they are happy to get it for you! I am disabled, and believe it or not, carriage ranglers, bring the shop cart to me. They also assist me out, especially, since I like the one shop shopping. I find it funny, it seems to be the snobs that bash Walmart, yet I see them there getting the bargains! I shop here frequently and quite frankly, very seldom enjoy it. The cashiers are either abrupt bordering on rude or never say a word. My visit today changed my opinion. The customer service department and the management is horrible. The service clerk was rude and evidently not intelligent enough to accomplish a simple return. The assistant manager was called and he was no help whatsoever. The return was routine, and I was even going to pay extra for an upgrade on the defective product. This simple request (on a twenty dollar product) was beyond their capability to be reasonable and satisfy a thirty year customer. This place was a joke. I called to ask about inventory on an item. Waited 5 minutes and there was no answer. Called again, still no answer. Ended up driving there and they did not have it. I picked up a few other things I could use. A woman scanned my two ink cartridges and paper said it came out to $75.00. When I said, "That can't be right, the ink is 20 dollars each". She insisted it was copy paper that $35.00. It took so much back and forth and a manager to figure out what the problem was. It was unbelievable. Called 4 times, was transferred 3 times, then on hold for 20 minutes before I hung up. Was so ticked off I had my wife then try, needed someone to look for a particular toy, a funko pop. The employee then pretended to walk back to the toy dept, then come back on the phone and say we don't carry those, their only online! Really???? They have no funko pops at Walmart??? That's a lie. This is for the Auto Service Center - I had new snow tires mounted on rims then installed on vehicle. Old tires and rims put in trunk. Got home and took old tires/rims out of trunk and realized they weren't marked as far as where they came off of the vehicle - (RF.RR,LF,LR). Was back to Walmart a few days later and complained to the Service Manager - he says "they don't label or mark them. You should rotate them anyway". What ? I'm supposed to do a completely random tire rotation ? Not follow the tire manufacturer's recommendations ? What a load of BS. Watch out for this Service Center - they could care less about their customers. read more

I have told the management several times and he has NEVER been recognized for his helping customers. but on the other hand the bottle returns the machines had ROACHES all over it. on the floor etc. THAT'S GROSS. The only big store around, sometimes feel like I am stuck with it. Everyone likes a bargin especially in these tough times. I blame myself for poor planning, however when I phoned Wallmart tonight for any advice or help they could have offered they spoke to me like I had the IQ of a sheep. Needless to say I was very offended especially since I was supposedly speaking to the head manager. Again, I will blame myself for poor planning but I am not any more of a fortune teller then anyone else and what will come out in their advertisements and when is of no clue to me until I see it. In desperate need of a phone - any phone will do, do not really care that much as long as I can talk on it, I saw the sale for phones going on black Friday. Black Friday is a day I never shopped, not even once, I avoided it like a plague. This time due to financial changes as well as health changes I needed to get a reliable phone and not spend too much on it. So I decide to go. I call and am told that people start lining up 3 hours at least prior to the handing out of a ticket which may allow me to buy the item. I go wait in another line I guess to see if they still have them and I am able to get one. I can not do that. I ask to speak to the service department. The service department tells me it is ok because they have motorized scooters. I am on oxygen what is a motorized scooter going to do for me? Oh, she say's ok, well I don't know what to tell you. Ok, can I speak to a manager maybe he will have an idea or suggestion. I wait and wait until finally a manager gets on the phone. I explain the situation to him. I cannot carry on me that much oxygen so does that mean I have to miss the sale. At most I can carry is 3 hours worth and that is the most. I need special equipment to leave for a longer period of time. What bothered me the most was not only being excluded from the sale - I am a big girl and can get over that but what really got me is the manager's attitude. Basically he was incredibly rude, he asked me if I had a computer. Yes I tell him I do, well then go order one on line. He knew of course that by ordering it online I was paying full price for it and that is not what I was making the call for obviously. He did not care about that at all and I felt as if he was just hoping I would hang up and not realize it until I was off the phone with him and then it was no longer his problem. Could he have offered me even an outlet? No. I would not need a continuous one, but be able to go back and forth. I guess I would have lost my place in line. Thanks Walmart, for a company that makes such a show of hiring the disabled (like they are doing us some big favor) I have decided from now on I will shop anywhere but there, even if it means going way out of my way.
