This Walmart is large and it has a decent size parking lot. I went to get some Equate over the counter products and their selection was good and the items were neatly displayed on the shelves. The Equate brand of products can easily save you 20-50% national brand names, with similar active ingredients, give them a try if you have not yet done so. I did not require any assistance, so I got what I needed, used the self checkout register and was in/out in 5 minutes. Very convenient. read more

Today 06/27/2026 I spent almost $300 at the N. Smithfield, RI Walmart. My cashier was a lovely woman but could not speak or understand a word of English. It became frustrating when I asked her three easy questions and each time she had to call over the manager. I asked the manager why do you have an employee working in a position where she needs to speak English. The manager told me not to say that, I asked her why and she said it's not nice. I said, but it's the truth, in this area 99% of the people speak only English and do not speak Spanish or understand it. read more

If I could give this Walmart, zero stars I would. The customer service here is horrendous. Every time I have to go to the customer service desk. They are extremely rude extremely slow. They should just call it a return desk because customer service is not their appropriate name because they do not service their customers they are just straight up rude to them. read more

It does sometimes take a little psychological preparation to tackle a Walmart Supercenter! Not only are they huge, but there's usually a lot of customers, and that can make it a very overwhelming experience! I highly recommend using the Walmart app, and shop in-store if you are looking for a certain item, this way the app can give you its exact location, instead of you wasting your time strolling the million of aisles in search of your items! The self checkout kiosks are pretty nice, but also a popular way to check out. read more

Why in the world is half of the Walmart store in North Smithfield RI CLOSED on many early mornings? They only open the entry doors on the left side and the ENTIRE right side of the entry AND CHECKOUT area is CLOSED - you can't even give them your money on the right side of the store! Management needs to step up and open the entire store. No more excuses that the registers need to be prepped. That should be done before the designated opening time. Why do I shop here when there's a TARGET store only 2 miles down the road? I think I'll be bringing all my business to TARGET now even though I pay a little more, at least I can get in and out and exit where I parked my car. This is UNACCEPTABLE. read more

I've lived here for two weeks. First, I place a pick-up order for over $200.00 as I needed everything in my new place. Pick-up was at 6-7 pm, but I got a message at 5:45 that my order would delayed. We started dinner only to receive a message that my order was actually ready. We finished dinner and went to pick-up at 7:15. When I called to let them know I arrived, I only got a voicemail There were about 25 cars in pick-up and only 3 workers. I finally left at 9 pm, still without my order; I left my name and number and asked if I could get delivery the next day. No contact until four days when they let me know that they understood I got busy so restocked the items. One week later, I tried delivery of $160 of items-a rolling walker and some items like sponges, dishwashing soap, etc. I selected a delivery time and adyed a tip of $5 as I live about a minute away from the store and delivery should take about 10 minutes. Delivery to be at 5 pm. I realized that I had never received the usual e-mail acknowledging the order so I checked on-line. My order was listed as if I had never chosen a time, but the tip was raised to $16 que I was urged to "select a delivery time". A call to the store resulted in a transfer to a second person who had no more info than the first. They promised to look into it and call me back. No call back. At this Walmart yesterday, I purchased just $1.50 worth of merchandise. The young girl at the cash register - after I gave her a $5. bill, punched in that I had given her a $50 bill and my receipt showed that I would get back $48.42. When I brought it to her attention, she said "Oh these computers sometimes just give me a hard time" but she did not delete the error and gave me 42 cents back, not the $3.42. But the problem is that she DID NOT cancel out that receipt and punch in a new one. So I'm wondering if she just pocketed the $48 which was in error plus the other $3 she owed me. She was in her 20's but I didn't get her name. From now on, when I go to your Walmart, I will just use the self checking machine. At least that one doesn't rip off your customers and your store!! - Pallets and boats blocking shelves and aisles. - Poorly stocked, lots of empty holes on shelves. - Lots of registers with only 2 or 3 open. - Rude Cashiers who are too busy talking to each other to pay attention to what they are doing. - Cashiers insist on bagging for you even when you tell them I will bag my own purchases. - Cashiers insist on double bagging everything, even when you tell them I don't need double bags. After one ignored me when I told her I don't need double bags, she continued to put one bag in another. When I grabbed the bag to stop her, she would not let go of the bag until she had double bagged it and she insisted she "knew what she was doing." Did she forget that she is not paying for this, I am? - Cashiers put one or two items in a bag when more items can fit, even when you tell them the less bags the better. I am not a lil old lady. - Cashiers need to be trained how to bag; cold items together, meat, cleaners, and crushables seperated, heavy items on bottom, light items on top. I HATE shopping here! read more

The prices here for groceries are amazing! A gallon of milk was $1.66 for months and as of yesterday was only $2.00. A dozen eggs is 50 cents. It's because there's another grocery store in the same plaza. The store stays clean and is well stocked. The employees tend to be friendly enough, including the very happy greeters, and they are helpful. read more
