Gotten everything from groceries to winshield wiper blades to TV comportments to kitchen ware. So convenient to have nearby. Return policy is excellent. Haven't done same day Groceries so comprehensive and affordable. Youll never want for anything when you come here. Cons are no tap to pay which has resulted in Depenent on having Walmart app and account to look up item locations otherwise you'll spend forever wandering the shelves read more

Great: value, stock, price, inventory and offering options can't be beat. Sucks: parking is a big B! Parking lot is always littered with trash. Mfs always side parked in the front of the store and you have to weave around because of this. Checkout: about 3-4 checkout lanes. Self checkout has a good amount of counters but it's always a zoo there. read more

If I could give this Walmart, zero stars I would. The customer service here is horrendous. Every time I have to go to the customer service desk. They are extremely rude extremely slow. They should just call it a return desk because customer service is not their appropriate name because they do not service their customers they are just straight up rude to them. read more

Walmart has sent my shipping orders (which states after ordering, delivery from store) back to the store with NO apparent reason this is the 5 time. Tried calling this store for over 6 hours and NO ONE answers the phone. What kind of business does that? I ended up ordering from ka different Walmart and go my order the next day as advertised. I would NOT recommend this store in North Smithfield RI. read more

This has to be the absolute Walmart in Rhode Island. Maria at the customer service desk was the rudest person ever. We tried get a return on a service plan on a TV and she said she didn't know if she could do it, then she started getting rude and nasty. W e asked for a manager and then she refused to help us, she needs to be fired. Normand the manager, was great, he smile and removed the amount with no problems or attitude. Normand deserves a huge raise. You don't do a customer service job if you can't deal with people. Don't complain to people that you've been working since 6 am. We all work hard bitch, deal with it. P.S. I also called corporate, this rude customer service representative, Maria needs to be fired, or away from customers. read more

Today 06/27/2026 I spent almost $300 at the N. Smithfield, RI Walmart. My cashier was a lovely woman but could not speak or understand a word of English. It became frustrating when I asked her three easy questions and each time she had to call over the manager. I asked the manager why do you have an employee working in a position where she needs to speak English. The manager told me not to say that, I asked her why and she said it's not nice. I said, but it's the truth, in this area 99% of the people speak only English and do not speak Spanish or understand it. read more

This Walmart is large and it has a decent size parking lot. I went to get some Equate over the counter products and their selection was good and the items were neatly displayed on the shelves. The Equate brand of products can easily save you 20-50% national brand names, with similar active ingredients, give them a try if you have not yet done so. I did not require any assistance, so I got what I needed, used the self checkout register and was in/out in 5 minutes. Very convenient. read more

I wish that I could give less of a star than this. This place deserves -6 stars. The management here is terrible, the associates are rude to customers. My significant other works here as a team lead and they work her like a dog. For what? Turing a pile a crap into gold? No. There's a reason this is the worst store. Also Vinny, in charge of OGP can't manage to save himself. So greedy and spineless. Never go here. read more

If I could give zero I would. The most miss managed store I have ever seen. Shelves are consistently out of stock, produce section is a joke, self check out lines and regular lines are ridiculous. Never enough registered or self check out counters open. Just all around the worst Walmart you can go to. read more

Absolutely horrible drive up/curbside pick up service. I went there twice yesterday to pick up for Uber Eats and ended up cancelling the trips because I was not going to wait a half hour for them to bring the order out to me. They should allow delivery platform drivers to come in store for pick up. I refuse to take deliveries out of there now despite how well they pay because the customer will blame me for the delay, not the service at Walmart. Horrible horrible horrible! Go to a different Walmart, it's worth the drive. read more

Every time I go into this store there's an issue. Today I waited and was looking for someone for 15 minutes to get a dog fla and tick collar couldn't find anyone. I called the store they paged someone 20 minutes later no one came to open the case at this point 35 minutes gone by still no one. Then someone comes by with keys and the keys aren't opening the case. Funny how the same collars for cats aren't locked up. This store has a long history of screw ups and I'm not surprised anymore time to go back to the providence store that's shit but hey it's in providence can't ask for much there read more

It does sometimes take a little psychological preparation to tackle a Walmart Supercenter! Not only are they huge, but there's usually a lot of customers, and that can make it a very overwhelming experience! I highly recommend using the Walmart app, and shop in-store if you are looking for a certain item, this way the app can give you its exact location, instead of you wasting your time strolling the million of aisles in search of your items! The self checkout kiosks are pretty nice, but also a popular way to check out. read more

Honestly, this store is like walking into a dumpster fire. Nobody knows what they are doing, it's never clean, ordering online is as risky as eating sushi at a gas station. They try to force you to self-checkout because it takes way longer to wait in line for them to do it. There seems to always be police presence, but not in a good way. read more

LOVE this Walmart it's close to my house, everyone is very nice and I review this place 100 percent read more

I hate this Walmart. It's close to me and yet I basically refuse to shop here because of a number of reasons; poor management, a lot of things are out of stock, the produce is gross! I only go here if I need to grab a few things and that's it. I much prefer to shop at the Walmart in Whitinsville. The people that work there are much more friendly and helpful and for the most part, I feel safe and comfortable shopping there. It's a shame Eddie Dowling's Walmart sucks the way that it does. There's some nice people that work there, but a lot of them just seem very lazy and apathetic about their job. read more

I've been to a fair amount of walmarts in a fair amount of City's and towns. Down the eastern seaboard, below the Bible Belt and into the Deep South. I've seen decent ones and I've seen horror shows. This one is decent. Friendly helpful staff that don't look like refugees from the isle of dr. Moreau. Shelves are clean, neat, orderly and properly stocked. Decent selection. The grocery area does not look like Texas chainsaw massacre. It looks like ppl do their jobs here with pride. And I respect that. The pharmacy was very helpful and I great appreciate how they went above and beyond to help find my script. But when it comes down to it... It's Walmart. I want to shop local. But ... Sometimes it's a necessary evil for me. And if u don't believe me about the "bad" walmarts... Go to the providence one. Bring Kevlar. read more

This Walmart is always clean and orderly. The staff isn't entirely overly helpful but they get the job done. Their linen section is much larger since moving from Woonsocket. I even prefer the produce compared to local super markets. I don't suggest coming here if you're in a rush during the first week of the month. Things seem to get pretty hectic and the lines are massive. Other then that I have no other complaints read more

Why in the world is half of the Walmart store in North Smithfield RI CLOSED on many early mornings? They only open the entry doors on the left side and the ENTIRE right side of the entry AND CHECKOUT area is CLOSED - you can't even give them your money on the right side of the store! Management needs to step up and open the entire store. No more excuses that the registers need to be prepped. That should be done before the designated opening time. Why do I shop here when there's a TARGET store only 2 miles down the road? I think I'll be bringing all my business to TARGET now even though I pay a little more, at least I can get in and out and exit where I parked my car. This is UNACCEPTABLE. read more

Since I moved from the Woonie Bin and back to Providence, I haven't shopped here much. When I'm occasionally in the Lincoln area for various things we usually make a stop here for misc items. Specifically fabric. Not much may have changed since 2012 but ever since I began sewing I'm always on the lookout for fabulous deals and this Walmart is definitely at the top of my list. There are several aisles stocked with all sorts of wonderful fabrics including a random assortment of feline related patterns perfect for the crazy cat lady in your life. Unlike the other Walmarts I've been to that still have a fabric section, they have an awesome clearance/sales bin. Looking for totally irrelevant Hello Kitty cotton material for $2 a yard? Look no further! They also have a wide selection of other craft materials such as felt, yarn, embroidery threads and so forth including an abundance of storage bins specifically for sewing essentials. Service is what you'd expect and spotty at best. On several occasions I had to flag down a random employee from another department who clumsily attempted to cut my fabric. But with prices as low as $2.97 a yard for Waverley, it's all good. read more

This is by far the worst Walmart next to the Quincy, MA location. The self checkout lines are incredibly long waits. I had the biggest issue at the return desk! Diane the manager was NOT even helpful! Her first statement was that I could not return the item as opposed to her trying to help me return the item. In addition to that she took forever to come to help. And even furthermore, she was eating a chicken tender when she walked up also while she was speaking to me about the return!!! After going back-and-forth with the lady about how to do the return as if I work there myself, I was finally able to return the items. read more

I've lived here for two weeks. First, I place a pick-up order for over $200.00 as I needed everything in my new place. Pick-up was at 6-7 pm, but I got a message at 5:45 that my order would delayed. We started dinner only to receive a message that my order was actually ready. We finished dinner and went to pick-up at 7:15. When I called to let them know I arrived, I only got a voicemail There were about 25 cars in pick-up and only 3 workers. I finally left at 9 pm, still without my order; I left my name and number and asked if I could get delivery the next day. No contact until four days when they let me know that they understood I got busy so restocked the items. One week later, I tried delivery of $160 of items-a rolling walker and some items like sponges, dishwashing soap, etc. I selected a delivery time and adyed a tip of $5 as I live about a minute away from the store and delivery should take about 10 minutes. Delivery to be at 5 pm. I realized that I had never received the usual e-mail acknowledging the order so I checked on-line. My order was listed as if I had never chosen a time, but the tip was raised to $16 que I was urged to "select a delivery time". A call to the store resulted in a transfer to a second person who had no more info than the first. They promised to look into it and call me back. No call back. Not sure I even want to enter this store after reading the reviews. This store is in contention for the title Worst Walmart In America read more

Not the best selection for food clothes or anything for that matter one of the worst Walmarts I've been too

This location is god awful for groceries anyways, shelves are a complete mess with product just literally thrown everywhere, frozen selection is a joke, produce is horrid. They had at least 6 or 7 people working in the section and all of them were like zombies, asking for something you are better off talking to a rock, avoid this Walmart at all costs. read more

This wasn't the best Walmart I've been to. It's big for nothing. I was really hoping they had every I was looking for. I was so disappointed. The Dept was not labeled and the isle wasn't number. It wasn't easy to find things. A lot of things were not in stock. As a Superstore very disappointed! I definitely would not recommend. read more

I honestly never had an issue here it's always very well maintained and organized. I also had to go to the electronics section looking for a phone case and the man who asked if I needed help was very kind and tried to help me as best as he could. ( they didn't have the cases for my type of phone) I went to the walmart in providence and the man at the electronics department was just as kind and helpful as well, calling other stores to see which had the cases for my phones. I really appreciated the time and effort both places took with me to help me find what I needed with great customer service as well! read more

Unforunately, walmart has everything you could ever need, and we are on a fairly strict budget when it comes to food/household items, so we usually go to walmart. BUT, their produce department is legit JUNK. Their stuff is old, rotted, just not prime. Its edible, but go walk through stop and stop and there is a clear difference in quality. I feel like the people who work there are actually relavtively friendly/helpful, but.... that dosent hold true to all. always lines, i dont understand how a billion dollar company cant afford to have enough lanes open to keep people moving butttttttttt..... read more

As far as Walmart goes, this place is as good as it gets. It seems to be kind of a well kept secret, as in not everyone knows it's here. There was originally a Walmart on Diamond Hill Road in Woonsocket but it closed down for whatever reason (wish they'd tell VZ navigator that, but that's a whole different story). Since then, this one sprang up twice the size 10 minutes away and the place is empty pretty much every time I drop in. This is a good thing! The shelves are always stocked, no gaping holes in the displays (cough cough, Branch Ave). I've never had to wait long in line, and the associates are friendly. This is the only Walmart I've seen in quite awhile with a sewing/fabric section (albeit small). Gotta love the dollar-a-yard bin! The garden section is sparse, but it's only March. They have stiff competition however as Lowes and HD both have extensive garden departments. I think the reason this place doesn't get alot of traffic is because it's the first store in what seems to be a development suited for many large stores. The Walmart sign itself is practically dwarfed by the bulldozers, steel frames, and other signs of development. **Funny story, OR not so funny: The other day a brawl broke out in the parking lot of this Walmart. I wasn't there but it was on the news. Some dude thought another dude was checking out his girlfriend so a fight ensued. These dudes break out crowbars and go at it and during the melee someones crowbar went flying and hit an innocent child bystander in the face!! The kid was maybe 6 years old and had to be taken to the hospital. The father of the kid who got hit pulled a golf club out of his trunk and went after the guys with the crowbars. Long story short, this is a nice Walmart but it's still Walmart. Bring your weapons ladies and maybe leave your kids at home! read more

I agree with others that their produce is 3rd rate and this has to be the poorest run store in their system. I bought some of their cryovaced/sealed fresh "Icelantic" Cod 2 days ago. Package says "never frozen" First of all this was caught and frozen at sea, but not before soaked with 15% water and preservatives. I have caught fresh Cod and pan fried in the past, it was firm and Heavenly! The Walmart "fresh" cod disintegrated and fell about when pan frying...into one inch chunks! I have never seen anything so lame as this Cod. Don't believe anything Walmart claims as its all BS! read more

I like Walmart. They're cheap. I think this place gets robbed pretty often, since they always check your receipt if you have unbaged items. I just always have my receipt out when I leave just in case they ask. Plenty of self checkout registers (I think 12 total). It's a superstore which means the grocery department is the size of a small supermarket. I shop here for the price e like everyone else in the world. They employ a lot of people here too. This Walmart is the biggest we have in Rhode Island. I come here because I can grab a coffee, (Dunkin' Donuts inside) grocery shop, and get house supplies all in one location. The only downfall is employees are not always the nicest and sometime you see the sketchiest people there at night. read more

As far as Walmarts go, this one is not bad. It's about 10x nicer and cleaner with a more civilized demographic than the Walmart in North Providence off of Branch Ave. We travel by moped to this Smithfield Walmart to stock up on our weekly groceries and especially the Chobani, $1 each, and no questions asked. This is a fact: you will save on groceries if you shop here rather than the local Stop & Shop or Whole Foods. As far as service, it's a Walmart, so don't come in expecting first class service. At least the MNC is offering hundreds of locals jobs in this down economy, right? :) read more

At this Walmart yesterday, I purchased just $1.50 worth of merchandise. The young girl at the cash register - after I gave her a $5. bill, punched in that I had given her a $50 bill and my receipt showed that I would get back $48.42. When I brought it to her attention, she said "Oh these computers sometimes just give me a hard time" but she did not delete the error and gave me 42 cents back, not the $3.42. But the problem is that she DID NOT cancel out that receipt and punch in a new one. So I'm wondering if she just pocketed the $48 which was in error plus the other $3 she owed me. She was in her 20's but I didn't get her name. From now on, when I go to your Walmart, I will just use the self checking machine. At least that one doesn't rip off your customers and your store!! Just thought you should know about this incidence. read more

Do not go here!! Online order pickup. Waited 45 min and order was still not brought out. I left. Came back. Order brought out in about 10 min. Items substituted when initially they were said to be in stock - had they actually gave me my order on my first attempt. No problem. BUT then they tell me I was charged and I'd have to call an 800 number to try to get refunded if I didn't want them. I explained how frustrated I was given that I waisted 45min earlier. The female employee said "oh some people waited 3 hours." How does that make things better? Then when I told them I wasn't paying for the items I didn't want the same employee said to her coworker, in front of me "she is being ignorant just not listening and calling the number." I placed an online order. The order was delayed by 2 days. My partner was the one picking up the one item that I had ordered which was in stock. He found it on the shelf and brought it to customer service to see if he could just get it at that time and mark it picked up. Since he would not be in town for week after today. The lady at customer service was extremely rude. She told him that our only options were to either wait until our order was finally done or to do a complete cancellation. Her reason for why it was taking so long was that it must not have been in stock the past few days. Which is false since I placed the order when it was in stock. read more
