I purchased tires from Walmart online. When I tried to get the Midvale walmart to install them they refused to give the $18 tire install package listed online for tires purchased from walmart. Told me I would have to pay $29 or return the tires and reorder online. Real great job Midvale Walmart tire center. Stopped in this Walmart to grab a few things for my hotel and a hike at the Kanarra Creek Trail. I needed instant frozen snap able ice packs, a box fan, and some medicine. Usually I can find the box fans at Walmart fairly easily, but I had to end up asking an employee for help. This Walmart is very unorganized. I needed some Advil which I found pretty easily. If you can't find the Advil at a Walmart there's a serious problem. I looked where the ice packs were, assuming that the ice packs I needed were gonna be in the same place. But, they weren't for whatever reason. I asked a stocker for help finding the ice packs, and she didn't know where it was. She doesn't know where her products are and she's one of the stockers. Geez. I ended up finding the ice packs after about 5 laps around the store, and they ended up being with the golf balls. Now how does instant freeze ice packs have to do with golf balls? Beats me. I had just visited the this Walmart yesterday, I got a bag of bagels and a thing of cream cheese. I had went home and my girlfriend and I ate the bagels of cream cheese. The next morning her and I woke up sick, Although I stopped feeling sick later on, my girlfriend was very sick throughout the day. This is concerning the Auto/ Tire service dept. Purchased 6 new tires in November 23, along with the tire warranty. April 24 decided to clean up the wheels which was a labor intensive project. There is less than 1500 miles on the tires. When removing the beauty rings I found that the wheel weights where not attached, Humm first strike. I resurfaced the wheels, primed 3 coats, painted 3 coats and clear coated 2 coats. Such an improvement over the rusted look and I was very pleased. 4 days after completion I took my truck in to have the tires rebalanced, after all I had purchased the warranty. I specifically told the front counter I just wanted balancing, no rotation so as to keep the resurfaced wheels on the outside.when I got my truck back, the rear wheels had major scratches and gouging. Keep in mind this is the deep side of the wheel 6" in from the face. A week's worth of work down the tube. Not to mention the cost of materials. I did speak to the manager and he was real responsive to my issue, but what could be done? Damage was done. Also one wheel weight was just about to fall off, in under 5 miles. So bottom line is if you pride your wheels I would not take them to this location. Enough said, off to resanding. read more

I recently had a disappointing experience at Walmart due to the behavior of one of the employees. The worker was extremely rude and unhelpful, which made my shopping trip very unpleasant. I approached them with a simple question, and their response was dismissive and unprofessional. It's unfortunate because I've generally had positive experiences at Walmart, but this incident really stood out. I hope the management addresses this issue to ensure better customer service in the future. Kicked out for shopping? Ridiculous quite frankly worst experience I have ever had at Walmart honestly! This store is listed for my online shopping. Time after time they are late on deliveries or they just don't follow through if a delivery cannot be made, the manager does not reassign to get the delivery made. This has happened so many times, I have stopped shopping on line and have taken my business elsewhere. Its funny to see that they do not understand when deliveries are supposed to be made that you do everything to keep the time frame given. Instead they let it sit and get to it whenever its good for them. Avoid at all costs. read more

The people working in this store seem so sad & depressed. It's really not a happy place to shop, there are zero friendly faces no matter what department you're shopping in. I wish I could just give them all a big hug!!! I only go here if I absolutely have to, and after my visit today I may never go back. I know working at WalMart probably isn't a dream job for anyone, but this location has a particularly poor vibe. This wal Mart has everything! It has a large parking lot and there are a great variety of products inside. You can order specific products online and then pick them up in the store the very next day. The customer service that I have dealt with here is also super helpful! They are always offering to answer questions and assist. read more

An entire area near the exit is now a self-checkout on steroids. As I was struggling to disentangle a shirt from its hanger so that I could scan this item I wondered, "What happened to the checkouts?" There is one checkout open but it is the one furthest from the exit to encourage this self-checkout as an "option". I manage to scan and pay for my purchase. On my way out the security checker steps into my path, "I need to see your receipt". Ok, fine. Show receipt. Then, "I need to see whats in the bag". I'm still thinking about this treatment the day after. One real checker for the whole of your Walmart Supercenter so I can scan and bag myself, and the one extra person to interrogate me on the way out. I don't like being treated this way. read more

There's always a trade-off between low prices and quality, and this is more apparent than at Wal*Mart. This Wal*Mart location is no exception. I've walked out with rotten and expired items. There were these snacks I loved, Graham Slams, I swear this location had a whole bunch 6 months past due. I contacted management twice about this and they did nothing. The shelves aren't well stocked ... on top of that, there always seem to be Team Members blocking the aisles stocking the shelves. C'mon Wal*Mart, pay a little extra and hire big crew and have the overnight crew stock like Target does. Customer flow is always an issue ... how busy does it have to be to open more than 2 lanes? This is such a small Walmart I only go here when I have to. The produce section is terrible with no variety. I bought some tomatoes wrapped in plastic (my first mistake) when I opened the package the tops of all 6 tomatoes had mold around the stems. I didn't take them back to the store as it a hassel. Barbara was such a friendly, efficient cashier that I changed my review of this store from one to four stars. She made my shopping experience nice. Donna, who helped me cut fabric, was also wonderful. Maybe they have had customer training. Previously: What a joke. I called to ask if they duplicate keys. The woman who answered the phone barely spoke English, but she transferred me to sporting goods. Ten times. After almost 18 minutes of waiting, I demanded to speak to a manager. Manager John apologized that no one was in sporting goods to answer my call but assured me that there would always be someone there to help me. Doubtful. Then I inquired why they hired someone to answer the phones who couldn't communicate in English. He said he didn't know and that he didn't hire her. SMH. read more

What's not to like about Walmart?! We came by here to pick up some groceries to make dinner after a day of being on the snowy slopes, and it was great. We found everything we needed at very reasonable prices, and we did self checkout which was very efficient as well. Big parking lot, friendly staff, and a lot of options. Yay! read more

I have only been to this Walmart twice as I recently relocated to the area from out of state and both times, I was helped by a sales floor associate named Travis. He was very friendly and helpful in locating products that I needed but could not find on my own. He took extra time to use his phone (or handheld device) to guide me to a letter moistener and some suction cup hooks that I would never have found, nor bought, at this store if it wasn't for him. Thanks, Travis, for providing great service with a smile! I did mention this to a manager up front, so hopefully Travis received some positive recognition. Also in my experience, the store was clean and the other employees I encountered were helpful as well. read more

Got on Yelp just to post this review. I have been in this Walmart a good 100 times as its right by our house. The Pharmacy is awesome and very helpful. And most of the employees are nice in the store. Whatever you do don't try and contact them by phone. I have called this Walmarts electronics department many times and they NEVER answer. The couple times they did answer they simply put me right back on hold and pretend they were not the electronics department. That really pissed me off so here I am. Don't lie to me so you don't have to look up a product. read more

This is your neighborhood Supercenter Walmart near Fort Union so depending on your luck people may be shopping over at Super Target so you have less of a chance that they'll all be over here like some other Walmart locations that don't hAve as many alternatives in such close proximity. Decent and has seemed semi organized when I've gone but depends on how busy it is when you go and how well staffed they are as far as clean up and upkeep on organizing and restocking goes. Sometimes you can find cheaper items here than super target but than again that's not always the case so it's just hit or miss. I frequent both of these but admittedly I shop at Target more just for environment. read more

I just went in today to return a coffee mug that someone gave me...they now have this huge sign saying they won't do returns without a receipt. The lady at customer service was so rude (short black hair, fake nails, cheap jewelry) She yelled and acted so put out over a coffee cup and she wouldn't even exchange it. This is the umpteenth time I have been treated this way by Walmart customer service and I will never shop at Walmart again. And this new return rule is not going to go over well with people during the holidays who need to return gifts and items they don't want. Argh! Horrible! I live close by this Walmart but I drive all the way to south Jordan just so I can get the things a I need and a better costumer service. And trust me, it's worth it! For some reason ( which I don't know why) the employees at this location HATES doing returns and exchanges Even if you have the receipt! They'll try everything and anything to complicate your situation, Specially a mean lady that works at costumer service during the day ( super short dark hair) and long fake nails.... she's mean and very unfriendly.... Now recently they got a huge sign saying that they do not accept returns or exchanges without receipts, and the hilarious thing is: if you google " wal mart exchange policy "you'll find wal mart official website policy saying that yes you can exchange and get a refund even if you don't have the receipt!!!!! If you paid cash and it was less then 25.00 dollars they should give your money back, if is greater then 25.00 they'll give you a gift card, if you paid with card they should return it to your card. So for some very strange reason this location decided to make up their own rules and completely ignore the store policy!!!!!!! Another problem is that I can never find anything here! Always low stocked! Folks I go all the way to South Jordan without regretting it!!!!! Skip this location if you need to buy anything electronic. I went in to grab a pair of wireless headphones, waited around in the electronics department for about ten minutes, and not a single associate approached me to offer assistance. I walked around looking for one, too. Since the products in this department are more expensive than in the others, you'd think they would want to actively engage customers, but that's apparently not the case. Wal-mart, you lost an $80 or $90 purchase by having your merchandise locked so I couldn't take it off the rack and up to the front. Best Buy got my business and money instead. If you care about making any sort of money, please staff your departments or reconsider your security measures for this type of product. read more

Midvale, Utah: Auto Center Man on duty physically threatened me (11-22-2019), and wanted to fight: Arrived at 7:05AM. Told by only auto center employee that no one would be in until 10:30am who could change oil. First bigger problem was that he was verbally argumentative and abusive. He then ordered me via yelling: "Don't cause a problem!" When I next exited my van to go into the store to speak with a supervisor, the man took off his coat, put up his fists, and started jumping around like a boxer. He then yelled "come on, let's go," which was a direct physical threat to me and an invitation to fight. This all happened in the presence of three of my children who were in my van observing at the time, ages 3 through 7. Filed a report with the Midvale, City police about the man, his aggression and threats, and the incident. This, WALMART EMPLOYEE, was unhinged, violent, and physically threatening toward me in the presence of my children. Next drove to the Sandy Quarry area Walmart. They also couldn't change people's oil until 10:30am even though they "open" at 7am. Thus yes Walmart is understaffed. But at the Midvale store you have to go through the gauntlet of employees who will physically threaten you in front of your children when you complain and when you exit your car to go speak with a manager. Midvale City Police Report # 19158164. Thanks Walmart. Oh and as noted your Sandy, Utah location also can't do oil changes on time due to understaffing. There were ten of us in line, one employee working frantically. Asked at the check stand if I could return an item there with a receipt. Was told I couldn't. There were two managers immediately present, leaning on their elbows, chewing the fat. I mentioned the shit storm that was "Customer Service" at which point they promptly parted and walked away in an effort to look relevant. I guess you get what you hire. Except when you don't. By that I mean it seems for every quality Walmart employee, there's a dozen not so quality and if that place is like everywhere else, those other not so quality workers are likely managers. There were stockers everywhere and the shelves looked great. I wanted Simply Grapefruit and someone from a different department went out of his way to find it in the dairy cooler for me. Simply Grapefruit goes great with gin. The produce department was decent. But that poor girl in Customer Service was slammed and those front end managers knew it and all they could do was stand around holding walkie talkies trying to look important. I would have taken a picture as I'm told they say a thousand words but I had left my phone in the car. Quintessential Walmart. Bought a pack of pitas, got home and spent 2 hours making an authentic Greek meal complete with homemade cucumber sauce. Plating the food, I opened the pack of pitas and realized they were molded! I checked the expiration at that point and they were about a week over the date. I've never really checked dates before (I know I probably should) but I've never had this problem. Needless to say I was disappointed that I made chicken gyros but had no pitas to go with and I was definitely not getting all 3 of my kids back out the door and through Walmart all over again. I returned the pitas a few days later and they kindly exchanged them for another food item since I had already gotten rid of the receipt. I shopped for a few more items and was appalled to see how many food items remain on the shelves past their due dates! I understand some foods will do OK but items like pitas need to be thrown out. This won't be my first go-to Walmart but if I ever go back, I'll make sure to check out dates on any food I pick up. read more

Ah Wal-Mart. You love them, you hate them, but most of all, sometimes you just need the ridiculously low prices and late store hours. I stopped by this Wal-Mart the other day to pick up a recent site to store purchase (BBC Pride and Prejudice - I finally gave in) The store is currently under construction as they remodel and change it to a "Super" version so everything has moved around, AND it was 10:00 at night (hey, when you need a little P&P you need it), so, I wouldn't have been surprised if the employees were....tired. HOWEVER, the gentleman greeting at the door, between 'hello"s, was whistling a friendly tune and singing little songs. The person I asked directions to was all smiles, and the site-to-store friends laughed and joked with me as they checked me out. That's pretty impressive. A+ for customer service. Also, as they clear out old stuff there's a big clearance section in the front of the store and I picked up a surprisingly cute pair of heels for $9. A+ for deals, but you expect that at Wal-Mart. Normally I would have given it a D- for appearance as this location has needed a face lift for a while. But so far the updates are looking good. While it may seem a little intimidating from the outside with all of the construction, inside it's a fully functional happy little Wally-land. In the end though I can only give it 3 stars because...well...because it's Walmart and when I compare it to other places on Yelp that I love....it just doesn't. read more

Let me start out by saying I've had a bad experience more than once at this Wally, and its time to review. Read carefully. Also, to be honest to people really looking for an honest review of this Wal Mart, this will probably be based on anger towards the people, not the actual store. The 2 greeters at this Wal Mart are spot on to that greeter in the episode. Now, I am not trying to be rude, but try it out and head in and see for yourself. Next, although the episode makes fun of prices of how cheap they are. Truth is, it really is cheap. Looking to pay for something that will generally always be less, Come on in. The parody continues about it destroying ma and pa business' and also the obsessions of shopping there. We have all been there. Guilty on both accounts in the eyes of the creators of South Park. Again, see for yourself. Now, my animosity is about the employees. Stop reading if you are offended easily, know someone who works there, you work there, you want to work there, you have worked there, or will have any feelings about people working there. I swear the majority, not all the time, but majority of the time, I myself or I witness someone getting into a debacle with an employee. I question the requirements and standards used to hire but in my experiences, I have never been wowed by the customer service. It seems to mean they arent very experienced in dealing with problems or perhaps its a training issue, but in my experiences Ive had to pull up my big boy pants and be the bigger man and either walk away or question if my disagreement is worth the fight. The only reason I come to this Walmart is because it's close to my workplace. Let me just say their customer service isn't the best. A few weeks back I went to buy a couple cheap shirts I needed for my job, but I needed to try them on. There wasn't an associate at the fitting rooms, so I went and searched around, only finding an associate at the front where the cashiers are. I asked her politely if she could someone to open the fitting room door and she said she would. Okay cool. I went back there and waited 15, still, no one came. I went back to the same associate and she rolled her eyes and asked the manager she was talking to to plase go open the door for me. Really? I went back there and waited another four minutes until I just decided to climb under the space beneath the fitting room doors. The manager came a minute later and sounded shocked as to how I got in. And a couple weeks later I went to return a gym set I bought for my mom, but they said they can't do returns without a receipt. Really. I self checked out as there was no cashiers. The cashier in self check out watched me like a hawk and then I noticed to older door greeters where also watching me like a hawk. Just shrug and finished up had like ten items. As I was leaving the two door greeters want my receipt and then proceeded to open and check every item on the receipt with all of my items in the bags. REALLY you all just watched me then I have to have a physical pat down!!!!! My husband and I were extremely dissatisfied with the auto care center. After we paid for an oil change we realized all the fluids were low / empty and I am questioning what they even did. We ended up buying and refilling all new fluids on our own. My husband will not be coming back here. I am going to give other Wal Mart auto care centers a chance but I would not go here unless you absolutely have to. read more
