You don't walk into a Dollar Tree store expecting Gucci products. But they do have a good selection of household goods and products. In fact, the selection was adequate for what I was looking for recently when I stopped in. You'll find household goods such as dishes, hardware, toiletries and small toys. They also have a good amount of party supplies and gift wrap. The store was pretty clean and the layout was simple enough that I was able to find what I needed quickly. Some products seem to be a good deal, while some others you may find less expensive elsewhere. But the convenience of the one-stop-shop wins out. Customer service was good-the cashier was friendly. When I'm in the area in the future and need a few things, this could be a store I visit. read more

I have been here on several occasions. I feel like the store in general is well organized, there isn't a private parking lot, so sometimes it gets a bit crowded and/or the lines are so faded on the concrete, you have to make your best guess. Anyway, I feel like dollar tree is underestimated, there are some things you can get here that are random and maybe not expect to find, but useful and purposeful. I enjoy giving gift baskets, and it's difficult to wrap it in cellophane from a roll, but the bags themselves can be expensive, look no further than your local dollar tree by the 'wedding supply' section, there are decent sized bags perfect to wrap a gift basket! Another item I get here frequently are holiday signs, I can hang them right outside my door for the current season and not be worried if they get any damage because it was only $1. How festive! Scrub brushes for your dishes or toilet, why spend more when you can get almost the same thing for less! We like getting dog toys here, because they are going to end up thrashed anyway! Gift bags of all sizes! There is quite the variety. They also have like a random hardware section, I've found screw drivers, bungee cords, spackle, and even a mini crowbar among the shelves. They are currently out of helium due to the shortage. I'll be back! The one thing that isn't great about this location is there seems to only ever be 1 cash register open, it'd be nice if there were 2 majority of the time. read more

Judging from past reviews, they may have cleaned up their act a bit at this Dollar Tree. I didn't think the place was a mess, but if other Dollar Trees are any indication, just wait until you get closer to the next holiday and it will be chaos. What was kind of a mess was the staffing situation. When things cost a buck, you probably don't have much margin to just have a bunch of folks on hand to check out the crowds. Yes, they had batteries. Yes, I had to find them myself. Sure, they were nearly organized. But yes, I had to wait in line for a while to get checked out by the cashier who was less than enthused about working at Dollar Tree. I do like the location. I'm not often on 123rd, but the 1-2 punch of a grocery store and a dollar store means I often save bucks when I am in the neighborhood. read more

Wow. That was a terrible experience. It was busy understandably, but the chaos was not from customers but from an employee who decided to announce that the line we had already formed and the one we had all been waiting in wasn't correct and kept stopping from checking people out, to force a new line that directly affected those of us who had already been waiting. It was unnecessary. And then as she was ringing me up, she decided to ring up something twice.....I chose not to say anything at the time because there were so many people waiting behind us, but it was intentional and very irritating. I even had someone approach me while we were waiting in line and she said this is the worst Dollar store in the area. Not bad. You can usually find decent seasonal/holiday stuff if you get there early (before the holiday rush). Perfect place to buy gift bags and tissue paper for gifts (only $1!). Lines can be long but location is convenient. Center aisles can be a mess of boxes. Cashiers are slow . read more

My 5 star review and comments on the Dollar Tree store in Draper: You have to admit, the Dollar Tree must be a very hard place to work. It's constantly flooded with customers and it is often a thankless job. There is probably a lot of turnaround with the employees. But the assistant manager, named Roger, of this Dollar Tree in Draper, rose above all that and showed the type of man he is. Because he believes in treating people the way he wants to be treated. You will find him always busy and on the run. But, you will always find him going above and beyond and helping you out in a friendly and patient manner. He never gets angry. This manager deserves a raise. He's the best manager I've run into at The Dollar Tree. The Dollar Tree needs to try to keep more people like this. Let me tell you what he did one time. I tried to return an item without the tag. I would have been fine if they didn't accept it. But he went ahead and let it slide that one time, which was very gracious. I guess he had tag/barcode that goes with it or another workaround. It only takes one person to make a good review. So this is why I am giving the Dollar Tree, particularly this one, 5 stars. read more

Sad to have to say, meh, I've experienced better DOLLAR STORES, but, it's true. This one is cluttered and chaotic, and even a little dark. The two things this one does have going for it are #1, location, it's right off 123rd, in a strip mall with other decent stores. And #2 a whole aisle dedicated to movie candy - you know, the big boxes of flavored sugar. If it were near a theater that would be ideal. As it is....well...the views out my windshield as I'm driving are sort of like a movie, right? Candy is good. read more

Basing my experience from other Dollar Trees across the nation, this one is only slightly better than avg. Meaning that it's quite messy AND DIRTY. This store however is a complete 180 from the experience I had in Port Hueneme, CA. Now that store was a dump! Seems all the employees there were running amuck and didn't know what they were doing. Back to Draper(3rd East 12300 South)... So, this store is better than Dollar Tree avg. Which really isn't saying much as most...MOST... Dollar Tree locations are absolutely disgusting. Now, the best Dollar Tree I've been to? Yup, it's here in The Salt Lake Valley! It's located at approx 6200 South Dixie Dr. Yes, I realize this is a brand new location but it's still very nice and they seem to have WAAAAY more professional employees at this location, compared to mostly crackheads at most other locations... Makes me wonder how they screen potential new hires... Ex: "ok ma'am, I noticed you can breathe and talk at the same time!... you're hired!" read more

The prices are great of course for what you get. But this location is particularly dirty and unkempt, as if they only check the shelves and floor once a week. The employees are nice though and it's overall worth it to go here if you need something they have for cheap. read more

I will never go to another Dollar Tree for as long as I live because of my experience in this store. I can care less about how much money I would save and they couldn't give me $10,000 to shop at their store again. I contacted Dollar Tree through a survey and told them of my experience and they didn't even take the time to call me at the phone number I even gave them and not even a reply email. I will keep it short. Some poor excuse for an employee put down the register closed sign right as I was standing there and had been behind only one person. He didn't even respond when I said "you are going to put that down after you have seen me in line and I am standing here looking right at you. The kid behind him which I am assuming was an employee hanging around off the clock in his street clothes did chime in with a lame "he is closed and they went about ignoring what had just happened and giggled. I have never witnessed such poor customer service and ignorance from anyone in my 47 years. It was tempting for me to reach over and grab him by the throat and I will say no more. I have managed a store owned by the largest toy company in the United States and I would have fired both or them for this unacceptable treatment of a customer. The wrong person could have made a bad choice and reacted to this in a very bad way. I would say that every employee visible to me was simply flailing around in mediocrity. I would say the store doesn't even measure up to even mediocrity or even the company as a whole. I politely asked for a response and let the company know that I would decide how to handle my next move if I did not get a reply. This is how I handled it because I review and I review. Ordering online was a nightmare at this store. I ordered the middle of November. It took almost 3 weeks before the store received the item. Once I got notice that the items had arrived I went to pick them up. After being at the store for 30 minutes and then not able to locate them I asked them to call me when they did. A week lasted I still hadn't received a call. I called in to ask about the order (rather than go in and wait again). They still couldn't find the order. Called again a few days later. Still the same story. About a week after that I went back to the store. The manager came up to the front and very rudely told me she'd found the items 5 minutes after I left the first time. I asked her why she didn't call me she said it was because I gave her a bad number. I have her my cell phone and my phone was also on the order - so I'm not sure why she claimed she couldn't call. She was extremely snippy and rude! Not even an apology for the delays. Not a great way to run a business. I guess i shouldn't expect too much it is the $ store after all. Overall super unpleasant experience at the draper store! read more
