First time today going into a traders joes store and the customer service experience was amazing. I came in just for flowers and when waiting in line one of the cashiers came up to me and said he could help me and asked me about my day and I told him I've never been here before and I just saw online you guys have a flower selection and then he asked if I wanted a bucket for the flowers and I said sure "I didn't know it was free and they put water in them..which was a bonus, he also gave me a free bag. I'm definitely coming back to do some grocery shopping. That first experience was amazing. Sold me right there. Wish I got that young man's name. This location is way better than the Orem location, but it still stresses me out a little. No matter the time or day I go, it's always busy and a little chaotic. I needed to get flowers for a photo shoot and I knew that Trader Joe's is the best option for flowers since they have a great selection, so I was brave and embraced the chaos. While I was there, I also got the bourbon vanilla bean paste for my coffee because I've seen it all over social media and have been wanting to give it a try. It's pretty good! On May 30, 2026, at 8:45 a.m., I shopped at Trader Joe's in Draper, Utah. After checking my receipt, I realized that I had been charged for 22 cans of fish, even though I only had 20 cans in my cart. A very young cashier reluctantly and slowly counted the cans, appearing to have an attitude of, "Why do I need to do this?" When he realized there were only 20 cans, he corrected the receipt and simply said, "It's OK!" Mistakes happen, and I understand that. However, a simple "Sorry, I made a mistake" would have gone a long way. Instead, I was left feeling as though I had done something wrong by bringing the error to this 'oh-so-cool' cashier. I replied, "It is not OK," and asked to speak with a manager. Unfortunately, the manager also appeared completely uninterested in the situation. Again, there was no apology - nothing. She simply said, "OK," gave me an "I couldn't care less" look, and made me feel as though I was creating unnecessary commotion over a trivial issue. A warning to customers: Count your items and review your receipt carefully. A friendly suggestion to management: Since some members of the store's leadership appear not to know how to handle customer concerns professionally, additional customer service training may be beneficial. Cashiers should also be trained to demonstrate at least a basic level of courtesy and professionalism. Finally, it would be nice if Trader Joe's added self-checkout lanes. While I believe it is very important for stores to provide employment opportunities in an age of increasing automation, experiences like this make it easy to understand why many customers prefer self-checkout over interactions with careless and discourteous staff. read more

This is the place for snacks. I think you know him much love I have for the chain but today I want to shout from the mountain too about their amazing apple cranberry tart. If you're unaware, go now. Wow this Trader Joe's is beautiful and thoughtfully organized. The wall of windows offers a gorgeous view of the mountains similar to the view of a $2.4 M house we saw listed as sold recently! The flow of the store is great with greeting cards and plants on the way in, followed by produce and proteins, ample space between the frozen food cases, and the checkouts all lined up flowing out to the exit. Despite being busy the checkout was swift. Another nice touch is the covered cart return. Overall a fantastic location conveniently off the and thoughtful planning to make a great grocery store where people are happy to get food. Thank you and keep up the good work! read more

They can spot a Hawaii traveler, and they smile because they know we're not eating ALL those snacks....we're taking it to our family and friends in the island! That's what happens when TJ's doesn't have a location in Hawaii. We were so excited to see TJ's open in this location! There's lots of parking and the aisles are wide. Incredible amount of staff available to help you find items. Upon entry, you're greeted with beautiful flowers. All varieties of potted plants or cut stems, these make great gifts. Today we were surprised to see protea which reminds us of the farm on Maui :) As always, the produce is fresh. They have substantial supply of vegan and gluten free products. Our family really looks forward to seasonal snacks! We get easily saddened when TJ's runs out of ube mochi mix LOL Thank you for opening this new location. Though it could be a blessing or a curse LOL we'll be shopping at TJ's often! read more

This was one of my first times in Trader Joe's, and it was amazing! The store was packed with customs, but they attests to their massive following--and I can see why! They had fun, unique treats that were perfect stocking stuffers. The frozen and fresh food looked and tasted delicious! Trader Joe's is my favorite place to grocery shop. I always pick up flowers each time I go. I feel like the Draper location has a pretty good variety of flowers compared to the Utah county store. Their produce is always excellent. I tried some of their marinated chicken this time, and they are always adding new foods. The prices are good, and I will definitely keep going back. read more

The store was clean and fairly well stocked. Employees were stocking the shelves the entire time I was there and they were never in the way. They worked fairly efficiently and never got in the way of the shoppers. The flower selection was not the greatest while I was there however it was the end of the day so the inventory was probably low. The person who helped me at the checkout was super friendly and gave me her very honest opinion on some mints I was curious about. I asked her if she liked them and she told me she didn't and I really liked the honesty. Overall great store. I also love the products. read more

Newest Trader Joe's to Utah is in Draper right off of the freeway, pretty nice and pretty convenient if I do say so myself! It gets crowded but it's never been as crowded as my previous stores were (Cottonwood Heights and downtown on 400 S). Most recent favorite canned deliciousness is the vegan chili it comes in a can for less than $3, and I love to add the fake spicy Mexican cheese to it as well as the vegan cream cheese and stir it all up in and together until it's creamy and delicious. Always a 10 when shopping at TJ's! This last trip for groceries I found the Salmon Patties! They were in the Frozen section .....I unpacked them to cook on the stove...added a bit of oil, put the lid on and seared the first side and there was a lot of moisture.....turned it over for another 5-7 minutes....it was the perfect sear. I squeezed a bit of lemon and added pink salt. It was so delicious. 10/10! read more

Pretty excited for this new location. And with that being said I think everyone else was as well. The store was super busy but, the store is now plenty big enough and well stocked. The employees make sure you can find everything you need and a few things you probably don't. Haha They keep the store well stocked, and are constantly replacing inventory. Can not say enough good things about this store. I have been put on a pretty strict diet due to food allergies and they have so many great options at trader joes. They almost always have everything in stock as well which is nice but the best thing about this store is the service and staff. They are all so helpful and kind. Not one person has ever been rude or has ever given off the vibe that they do not want to be working. They are always so happy. They also go above and beyond to help you find things or just make you smile. The friendliest cashiers I have ever known. I drive 30 min each week to visit this location because of it. I live in Draper and as much as I love the Cottonwood Heights location I've been anxiously awaiting the opening of the Draper Trader Joe's. To think it would only take me 10 min to get to my favorite grocery store interested of 30 min! My Mom and I are pretty obsessed so we went to check it out together. Firstly, let's talk about location and parking. The location is perfect, right off of 114th South and State St, a mere 2 min from I-15, where the old Whole Foods used to be. Turns out they split the old grocery space into two, so there's an empty business spot next to the Trader Joe's. Oh the possibilities! The parking is actually really easy, which rarely seems like the case for some reason. It's a big parking lot, wide but not crazy deep, so you're not walking a mile to the store. Like most Trader Joe's they've set it up with a clear enter and exit, flow of traffic doors. You walk into their floral section and immediately notice how big the store is! It's the biggest Trader Joe's I've been in. So, basically it's heaven. Besides the size, the other thing that really struck me was all the Draper and Utah specific art references. It made me proud that this is where I live and that Trader Joe's recognizes how cool it is. The great thing is that more space means more product! So many options! Things I've never seen, or rarely see, at the Cottonwood Heights and Downtown locations. Turns out, this Trader Joe's has the largest frozen food section of all the Trader Joe's in the nation I mean, come on. There's even a walk thru space halfway up ONE of the frozen food isles. There was not a single thing that disappointed me! Side note: did you know that each Trader Joe's store had their own mascot (like a stuffed animal) that they hide around the store. If you find it, and tell a cashier you get a lollipop!!!! Whaaaaaaa?! The Draper Trader Joe's is a stuffed animal Chicken. So keep your eyes peeled Also, the staff is ALWAYS so friendly and amazing! Exactly what this spot needed. It is livening up the whole complex. I was sad to see that beautiful Whole Foods die and then just sit there.
