This Smith's Pharmacy location is impressively bad. They cancel prescription refills without any notification or explanation. If it's an insurance issue, fine. But having prescriptions quietly disappear from your account with zero communication is unacceptable. Calling to ask what happened is an adventure in itself. Expect dismissive, rude behavior from pharmacists who seem irritated that you dare to even ask. Somehow, that same attitude extends to doctors as well. When my physician called on my behalf, she was treated with the same condescension, including suggestions that they knew my treatment plan better than she did. The kicker? When I finally transferred my prescriptions, the new pharmacist knew exactly which pharmacy I was leaving... and exactly why. This isn't a one-off mistake. It is a pattern. I have usually avoided this Smith's--not because it's terrible, but because I'm more familiar with the layout at other stores and this one feels backwards. That's on me; no slight to them. After a multi-year absence, I've found myself here a couple of times over the last few months, and found that layout notwithstanding, it really isn't as nice as some of the others in the area. I feel like it needs a good remodeling, and then just read that apparently it was remodeled recently. I mean, compared to some other grocery stores in town, it's really pretty middle of the road. It's not fancy one bit, but even compared to its siblings, it's still a little more cramped in here, and a little more loosey goosey on organization. But all the department are there--deli, bakery, produce--but I have also tried to go to the deli for help and found it much harder than other nearby Smith's as well. read more

I want to let everyone know how great this Smith's pharmacy is. I recently moved from Herriman to this area and transferred my items over after a horrible experience trying to transfer to the Walmart (won't do that again) I had a new prescription that was going to cost my 118.00. The pharmacist was able to apply a discount card to my prescription and it brought it down to 35.00. Joe the pharmacy tech is always going above and beyond to take a few extra seconds and make conversation and is complete engaged with his patients and customers. read more

Went to deli on 10/27/202 to get deli ham. I stood there and wait patiently while the deli worker was working on a computer and paper work. He finally turned around. I asked for 1lb of ham as he was slicing the ham I noticed how filthy the slicer was. Slices of have on the slicer and cheese on the cheese slicer chunks of opened ham in between the two slicers. I notified the "acting" manager of the store. He walked over and spoke to the deli worker. What ever he said, it was not enough to press upon him to clean this up because 30 min later we walked back and it still wasn't clean so we took these pictures. This should have been a big deal. This deli worker stood around talk to another co work inside the deli not one of them was cleaning. The deli worker took out the chicken from the hot side put them in tubs and then walk away. He started talking about a female not telling him what to do because he already knew and the only reason he would even listen to her was because he was a nice guy. The manager on duty that night was a man Brylan I think his name was. He should have been back there cleaning that up or at the very least making sure it was done. This Smith's was recently remodeled, but they apparently did the absolute bare minimum to improve it. Yes, it's nicer then it was before, but it's far from nice. Throughout the store, products are stacked and piled up high everywhere. Shelves are disorganized and clutter. The lighting is also poor, and many areas felt dark. I did appreciate the new self-checkout stations with bagging areas that held multiple bags for easy check-out. read more

This location is kind of scary. The only reason I ever come here is when I'm over at my friends and we need a last minute ingredient for something we are making. I will purposely go out of my way to a grocery store that's farther away for the sake of feeling safe. Last time I went here someone standing outside asked me for a dollar to help them get medicine from the pharmacy, and the time before that someone asked if I could help them rescue their kids from a hotel nearby. I understand people might need help from time to time, but to have something like this happen literally everytime I go...I have to brace myself everytime I walk inside the store, and for me it's not worth it. read more

I forgot about the deli Dept making sandwiches and veggie party tray. I called to order the sandwiches and veggie tray and their deli asst manager Sam was very friendly and helpful over the phone! When I went to pick up the 3' long sandwiches and veggie tray, they were beautifully made. I was so impressed with the service! I stop at this Smith's on my way home from visiting my daughter. They have the best produce of any of the stores that I normally shop at. They are a little bit more expensive but their fruits and vegetables are of a better quality. However, today when I stopped by, they had moldy blueberries in the organic section. I also like shopping here because it's not crowded. Downside... I wish that they had the smaller size shopping carts available and the shopping carts they do have should be brought in quicker. read more

This store used to be really clean, but lately they could use a little work. Lately the floors have multiple sticky areas, and no matter when I am shopping I seem to run into boxes....I know they need to stock the shelves, and they usually do it during the night and sometimes they have to do it during the day, but mostly I am just seeing carts full of either full or empty boxes and no one around. This is the same for messes. The staff is super friendly and very quick at the register, just need to clean up the store a bit. read more

The employees at Smiths are much more customer focused than Wal-Mart but I was a little disappointed in the quality of a few products I left the store with, the marsh mellows I bought were all meted and stuck together (I couldn't tell they were through the plastic or I wouldn't have bought them) and the graham crackers were pretty smashed up, maybe just an extra quality control before they are put out for customers to buy. read more

The workers at the pharmacy are awesome. They always help me with a pleasant attitude and never rush me. They remember me even when they hear my voice on the phone. That's a great thing when they have so many customers. I never have any problems with them. They make it easy as possible to make a transaction. I also like how the pharmacist comes over to ask me if I have any questions when I am picking up prescriptions. Also, I feel like they help me when I pick up prescriptions for a loved one that cannot come to do it himself, and they never give me a hassle over that, which is wonderful. This Smith's is the closest grocery store to my home, which is the only reason I come. Compared to others, this location always feels messy and disorganized. It has a decent produce selection, as well as a nice health food section, but the store itself just isn't as nice as most other Smith's that I've been to. read more

Summary: 4 stars for grocery. 1 star for pharmacy. So, I actually wrote a review previously for this Smith's, but it looks like this particular address has two yelp pages for some reason. I'm leaving this update here instead of the other one because this one has the bulk of reviews. I wanted to do an update review of this store because they remodeled. The remodel is nice. The store looks less shabby now. The shelve height was increased, the walls and some of the floors were replaced/redesigned. The produce section was redesigned with some new shelving which looks very nice and open. The pharmacy was pulled forward to the front of the store instead of being relegated to the back. There is also a nice waiting area. The floral department was put up front and there is a fake tree that is lit up that looks rather nice. The self check out area was redesigned so that instead of three little lanes, there is sort of a circular area so that it seems more open and accommodating to shoppers in that area. One thing I really don't like about the new design is that foot traffic is kind of forced to the left when coming into the store unless going to the pharmacy. There's no way to just walk straight into the aisles. The bathrooms were not remolded, which is to bad because they need it badly. One of the faucets in the women's bathroom doesn't work and hasn't for some time. I was also very disappointed that we didn't get a more comprehensive cheese monger section like some of the other Smith's locations. I still have to go up to the nearby Harmon's for a more high end cheese selection, even though this store is closer to my house. As far as a grocery store experience, it's pretty standard. The store is clean and I've noticed that they make an effort to pay attention to the little details. I don't know if that's because it's new or if that will continue, but it's something that I noticed. I also like that they have a manager's special area for meat. Some stores don't do that, and I think it's just a waste. For the most part, the variety is pretty good. The staff, in general, is pretty friendly and helpful. It's very rare that I feel like I get sub-par service by the grocer staff. There is a bank at this location, but I don't use it. The self-scan check out kiosks can be frustrating sometimes because they will insist that I need to bag something when I already did, or that there is an item in the bag area that hasn't been scanned when there isn't. It's really frustrating to have the self-check employee hovering over you because their computer says there's something extra in my bags when there's not. This happens more often now than before the remodel. So honestly, I would say this grocery store deserves 4 stars. Except, as you can see, I gave it 3. Why? Simple. The pharmacy. If I was just reviewing the pharmacy, I would give it 1 star. Okay, so, I personally use the Harmon's pharmacy up the street, but I've considered moving my pharmacy business to the Smith's pharmacy because it's much closer to my house. I have a lot of health problems, so I'm kind of a regular pharmacy goer and it would be much easier to use this location. Yesterday (1/5/2017 at around 10:30am), I had the opportunity to try this pharmacy. Not for myself, but for a very close friend who just had oral surgery and needed her prescriptions filled. She uses this pharmacy, so I was glad to be able to write a more comprehensive update review on this Smith's. I dropped off the prescriptions, did a little shopping, and then came back to pick up the medications. The individual that helped me was the same on drop off and pick up. She had blondish dyed hair (I don't want to use names but I want Smith's to know who I'm talking about). The service was pretty lackluster in the friendliness department, but when I picked up the prescriptions she didn't offer any advice nor did she ask if I had any questions. I thought that was strange because I'm used to that kind of service, even if I'm picking up medications for someone who isn't me. So, I asked her if there was anything that my friend should know and she replied that if my friend had questions then should could call and that it looked like she had used these prescriptions before, so she should be fine. Let me reiterate here. My friend had oral surgery. She could barely talk. So that was pointless. When I mentioned the experience to my friend, she was shocked and angry because had never had either of these two medications before in her life. Not only was it poor customer service, but we both felt like this was extremely irresponsible especially when I asked point blank if there was anything she should know. The fact that she outright lied to me, was also unacceptable. I will NEVER bring my pharmacy business to this location. The extra drive is worth having knowledgeable, responsible, and caring pharmacy staff. I cannot stress this enough. read more

Not one of the best Smith's around, but not the worst. Probably in the 40th percentile. What does this mean? Yes. It's a little dirty and janky. The store feels sad, and seems neglected in the way of redheaded step-children. But still it's a Smiths and therefore is pretty "ok." read more

Its your generic grocery store... You have your red box, self check out, us bank, deli, and all your other needs. Oh! did I mention the Police Station! It has every you need if you need food and maybe a sale on vitamins. The people there are pretty cool. There really isnt anything bad about it. Sure, this is in a dirty, skeezy and somewhat run-down block and the store, admittedly, mirrors that a bit, but that aside, this is not a bad place to shop, not at all. It is warm and welcoming, if a bit worn, inside and as long as your tastes aren't too outlandish, you can generally find what you need, though selection can be very hit or miss here. The staff, though frequently a bit on the eccentric side and you never know what you may find, all the way in from random dogs running in to steal rawhide bones. Overall, this is a good store to get in and out of in a fair hurry and the manager's specials seemed to always be frequent and generous. This was one of the few Smith's I actually looked forward to going to. One word of caution, though, be very careful of potholes in that parking lot and if you're using the west entrance/exit, lots of caution is also needed. read more

I have been coming to this pharmacy for four years and have never had a issue until they hired a new pharmacist. Since then it has been a absolute shit show. I have been seeing the same doctors for a total of four years. I have never had a issue with a prescription and all of a sudden today she wants to decide to not fill until she gets ahold of my doctor. Well guess what my doctor calls her and then she decides she isn't satisfied enough that she needs to talk to my other doctor. Mind you this is after she told me as soon as my doctor called she would fill it. I have been getting the same prescription for five months with no issue. Roast beef w cheddar hoagie w condiments to go was a great deal - very generous portion of medium rare beef on a decent roll. Devastated I returned to the bakery asking if they would plz fix it. They happily took my cake , gave me another and wrote happy birthday on it again!
