I ordered pickup for the first time and I was really iffy about it because when it comes to others doing things on your behalf, they don't always have your best interest at heart. Unfortunately, I was absolutely correct in how I felt. I go to pick up my groceries, the person puts everything in the back seat. When I go to inspect everything, I see a bag with rotten and molded grape tomatoes in a container and the juice has leaked on the other vegetables in that bag. This is completely unacceptable and I find it disrespectful that someone would be this lazy and careless when they are dealing with other people's food. And the fact that I had to walk inside to make an exchange because of this defeats the whole purpose of having a grocery pick up! And it's not like that was the only container left in the store; when I went in there to get a replacement, there were many options that they could've chosen that were good quality. This is not the first time I've had issues with this location's customer service. I am not the type of person to make a big fuss about things and I usually just move on, so it is a major problem if I have to take the time to make a complaint. read more

This particular Walmart is by far the nicest looking and possibly the newest in the area. Overall things are usually organized and easy to find. They keep the shelves stocked and the store clean. Their women's bathroom was spotless and had several stalls. Now let's get into where they need improvement. Since the transition to all self check out i thought things were supposed to be easier and quicker to checkout. However, I have noticed the employees that manage the self checkout lanes are less productive and it takes longer to be helped. If things are fine and you don't need an associate, you can get out quickly. On the other hand if you are purchasing alcohol or something that needs approval, I have found myself waiting up to 5 minutes while watching employees have side conversations or even everyone standing there and no one coming to help till I specifically ask for it. The new concept is nice but if you have lazy workers that don't care it makes the Walmart experience just as crappy as before when you had super long checkout lines. read more

Our experience at this Walmart Supercenter was A-OK. This Walmart is located in Town Center Market, a sprawling shopping plaza just off I-575 exit 1 (Barrett Parkway), near Town Center at Cobb in Marietta/Kennesaw. We were in the area for dinner and visited this Walmart late on a Friday night, around 10:30pm. The store was busy at the time, but not crowded. I imagine this place is a madhouse at more normal times of day. We got some grocery shopping done and were pleased with the quality of produce. They had lots of fresh items out, even late on a Friday night. We picked up a large box of organic salad ($4.66), Perdue chopped chicken breast ($3.98), NatureSweet Cherubs tomatoes ($4.48), shredded organic carrots ($2.46), a cucumber ($0.68), bananas ($0.59/lb), a large box of sliced mushrooms ($3.74), red onion ($0.98/lb), an avocado ($0.88), and a bag of Halos mandarin oranges ($5.98). I also got some Clean Shower Daily Shower Cleaner for $2.12 a bottle. Good prices, though I've seen cheaper for bananas. The store was bright, spacious, and clean enough, and it was fairly easy to find what we were looking for despite it being our first time. The carts were beat-up (standard for the metro Atlanta Walmarts I've been to) and the self-checkout terminal was dirty (touchscreen, scale/scanner). The self-checkout line moved fast and checkout and parking were a breeze. I'd come back, but I'd probably try to avoid during peak times of day. read more

I typically purchase holiday merchandise when it goes on sale. For years I've been buying Christmas merchandise and candy after the holidays. I had bought a pair of pajamas for a relative and later found out that I had purchased the wrong size. When I went back to this Walmart, I was told that they no longer allow Christmas returns. This was frustrating because they never put up any signs saying that all sales were final. I now know that if I purchasing any Christmas merchandise after the holidays, then I'm stuck with the item because they won't take it back. Their holiday clearance pricing is also confusing and inconsistent. Initially the signs said 50% off. Later they had 75% off. Rather than being surprised when I reached the register to find out that the items were not really on clearance, I downloaded the Walmart app and scanned all of the items I was interested in. When I scanned the items, I found out that around a third of the items were still at regular price. They were never marked down. Another third of the items were still at 50% off, even when the signs said 75% off. Only a third of the merchandise was actually marked down to 75% off. read more

Anytime I buy more than a dozen items from this store, I can count on one or more items being scanned at a HIGHER PRICE than the shelf price indicates. SO I resort to taking pictures of most items' shelf tag, and calling customer no-service staff over to have them adjust the higher scanned price. This happened last month with a $49.99 item (huge box of doggy pee pads) that actually scanned at over $65.00 a whopping 30% surcharge. CRAZY! (huge price increases) and LAZY (staff not doing their work) and the telling thing is, (yawn) the staff says it happens all the time! Just another annoying customer having the nerve to expect the item's scanned price MATCH THE SHELF STICKER!!!! I don't care for this Wal-Mart. For some reason there is always a weird vibe here. Not sure as to why but there is....I've never had good luck shopping here so I have no idea why I keep coming back.... I was shopping in the area and had to pick up some cat food that the Kroger near my house was out of so I figured well I also needed a few other diddys so minds as well give these guys another shot.... The place is a mess. Things never ring up as they should. It'll say one thing on the shelf but ring up another and honestly it's just not worth getting a price check for a 56 cent difference.... As far as customer service is concerned it's a hit or miss. I've had experience good service here and I've also experience not so great...I guess it depends on who is working and on what kind of day they are having.... In this Wal-mart there's a nail salon, vision center, barber shop, money center, auto center, etc. Pretty much a one stop shop, but man are the lines long. You will become so frustrated with being in the long lines and just want to put everything back. I have gotten my son's haircut and the barber did an awesome job and while he got his hair cut I got a pedicure. This was one of the best pedicures I've ever received. But shopping in this store causes anxiety and the parking is very awkward. read more

JACKPOT! (LAWN AND GARDEN) I have to give a special shout-out to this Walmart for their exceptional lawn and garden department. We stopped at this store with the specific purpose of looking for plants that we were unable to find elsewhere. The potato vine is a simple trailing plant that I love to add to my pots for a special accent. However, I have gone to the larger stores and even attended the Master Gardner's show and still could not find this plant. It was either not available or neglected and dying. Here, I found several of these plants in peak condition. You can tell that Walmart hired employees who love plants because it showed in the condition of the plants, (well watered and healthy). The hostas could only be described as glorious, big and beautiful. I only wish that I had gotten more! They also had reasonably priced ferns that were still vibrant and green. I am so excited about this great find and can't wait to get everything in place. Yes, this store is miles away from my home but I will travel anywhere for great quality because when you search high and low for something and you finally find it, that feeling is EVERYTHING! Stopped in around 12p as I had a meeting the area and I must say the parking lot was pretty empty, but upon entering the store it was a lot of people trying to check out and hardly any cashiers. The store itself was pretty clean upon entry although getting a basket seemed to be harder than I could even understand. (Grab one from outside so you don't have to fight for one). I stopped in to see their natural hair items and they were plentiful to my surprise. I continued on course and purchased what I went into the store for which was dog food and finding it was a pain. None of the products were where their tags were and it was hard to find the usual size bag I buy, but after searching around I found it. I recently placed an order online for store pickup for a particular printer at an amazing price. I live about 35 minutes away in Dekalb County and figured it would be good to order ahead. Well big mistake. Got an email stating there's a delay. Ok but why? The email was very vague. I called the store asking for clarity. What I experienced was horrific. I was hung up on 3 times. Now I used to work in customer service at a few call centers, so yes I know what it is like being on the other end. Everytime I called back, I was very calm and professional. Expected the same from the workers. So I called back again asking to speak to a manager (I try not to escalate, but it was needed in this situation). Manager was fine, but never bothered to look into my order saying the item may be out of stock. Why can't these folks do their jobs properly? After this, I will stick to Target. Inventory is up to date and they care about their customers. read more

Store is open 'til 10pm, but pharmacy closes at 7pm. Pharmacy will text you when your prescription is ready, with a reminder of the limited hours. Pharmacy staff is very friendly and professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The produce department is clean, well organized, but there were no avocados (1-16-21) to be found anywhere. Several shelves were bare throughout the store. They have "now hiring" signs throughout the parking lot, so I guess they don't have enough people to stock the shelves. Face masks are required for Covid-19, but if you forget, they will give you one at the door. Another poster said that this location (Chastain Meadows) has a Dunkin. It doesn't. It has a Subway sandwich shop. I've eaten there several times, and it's always been wonderful. But there is a Dunkin nearby on Barrett Pkwy across from Burger King. This location also has a barber, eye doctor, nail salon, and cell phone repair. There is a self-service key-copy that's pretty easy to use. They have a nice deli: chicken wings in various flavors, depending on the day. And lunch specials in nice packaging with clear lids. Slice-to-order lunch meat and cheeses, rotisserie chicken, etc. The bakery makes beautiful delicious cakes, but the cornbread is only occasional and it's yankee-style (sweet). RANT: my son drives a '05 Ford Focus decent car ... we notice the wheels shaking at 70+ ... we think balance and maybe rotate ... we venture to a local tire shop and they say sorry they're going bad... This store takes terrible to a whole new level. If I could give zero stars, I would. I needed a new car battery. They showed three in stock on their website, so I ordered one for pickup, supposedly by 8. At 7, I'm getting concerned and needing the battery asap, so I took the old battery for disposal to Walmart and went to the Automotive entrance to see if I could get the battery I had purchased. Of course, the door to Automotive was locked, so I went around to the grocery entrance and wheeled the battery back to the Automotive department. I walked around the store for 15 minutes and could not find a single store employee for help anywhere except the people up front doing checkouts. I even tried calling the store to talk to the manager, but believe it or not, they didn't even answer their phone. It just rang and rang. Unbelievable. I finally gave up, took the battery back to my car and went to Autozone to buy my battery. When I got home, I found an email where Walmart had cancelled my order. They do that a lot. There must have been a run on batteries that day because those three they had in stock somehow vanished. You would think that they'd hold on to at least one battery for me since I'd already paid for it online, but such is Walmart. Regarding their COVID policies, I wish I'd known that masks are only "recommended" (per a sign in the automotive section). As you would expect with such a stupid policy, there were a lot of idiots walking around without masks. To make things worse, the store was crowded and social distancing was a joke. Walmart obviously doesn't care about its customers or our community. While being disgusted by their total lack of concern for my well being, I'm not surprised. Walmart is the very embodiment of corporate greed and terrible service, so this is just Walmart being Walmart and certainly not what Sam Walton stood for. I've always had a good experience at this walmart. It's bigger than the one near us, or just carries a better selection, so I have driven here a few times to get obscure things like a basin wrench. For that experience, I stopped an associate who pulled out the walmart app on her phone and helped me locate the basin wrench. Great customer service! read more

My friend Cheri loves Walmart. This store is big but seams smaller than most. Grocery is on the left while electronics is in the back center of the store. My problem is that I require a scooter since I've had knee and leg problems and can't walk-even with a cane. I cannot get into the bathroom stalls, much less the bathrooms at all with those huge baskets. I sometimes get scooters that are almost out of power or don't work. It looks like the stores don't care about disabled persons at all and I never see any disabled persons working there anyway. The Subway there also charged a tip on my boyfriend's receipt. When do fast food restaurants do this? When they're run by East Indian and M.E.'s from my experience. No one else has done so I'll eat at McDonald's or BK nearby. DO NOT use the pickup center at Walmart, if the machine is not broken, the store associates make you wait an hour to even check to see if you're order is there. None of the associates (besides one) knew what they were doing. They all had different answers to give me about the location of my package. This review is more about customer service and the Walmart Grocery pickup service. Ordering online was very easy. I selected my items, location, and pickup window. There is not a Walmart near me that participates in this service, so I selected a location (this location) that we would pass on the way back from a weekend activity. Pickup time frames are in hour blocks. I selected 4-5pm on a Sunday. I received a call at 4:15 letting me know my order was ready for pickup and to give them a call when I was 5 to 10 minutes away. When I arrived it was hard to figured out I had to the very end of the left side of the store. There was a sign at the corner saying Grocery pick up, but not specifically where to go. I waited 15 to 20 minutes for the employee to bring my groceries out. Another family arrived right before me with a huge order. The employee was working by himself. While I was waiting another family arrived. The employee told me the items that were switched out due to the store being out and made sure I was ok with it before loading the groceries in my car. I signed electronically saying I received the groceries and was on my way. I would say outside of waiting my turn... picking up groceries took about 5 minutes. I received excellent customer service. I was told several times how sorry he was for the wait I had. read more

I asked should we move now or after us he said do what you want so we waited for next available and they turned the lights out. Worst lube oil center. They take forever don't call you back. My last visit they said I had changed my own oil in my civic and replaced the drain plug with the wrong size drain plug. I informed them that they were the last ones to change the oil in the car. They refused to change the oil. The braves scores 11 runs the next day do I got 11 bucks off at express oil change. I will never visit this Walmart location again after the service I received. read more
