I enjoy shopping here. Convenient location - near Marietta's famous "Big Chicken." They also have great gas prices so I usually fill my car up before I go in to shop. Large, clean and easy to shop. I usually get: -Deer Park water -Cheerios -Cheez-Its -Goldfish crackers -Perrier or Pellegrino sparkling water -Kleenex -Paper towels They have pretty good smoked salmon - yum! Their self checkout through their app works great for me. Use your phone to scan items as you put them in your cart. Pay through the app and then just push your cart outside. I find it quick and easy. Large parking area - I never have a problem parking here. read more

I'm at this Sam's club usually 2-3 times a week and it's very solid and reliable. The greeters are always friendly and usually have a cart ready to give you (love that) and the store is always in pretty good shape. The employees offering samples are very friendly. Carts are usually orderly in the parking lot/not overflowing. Deducting a star because they don't have any wifi at this location and Verizon's service doesn't reach inside near the checkout so it's impossible for me to use their Scan & Go part of the app at this spot. I've been thinking about emailing corporate about fixing that. Also, they could use some more gas pumps. Overall, this is a consistently high quality Sam's Club. I've been to multiple in the area and own a vending machine business so I feel like I'm pretty qualified to say that :-) read more

I went into this SAM'S location with good spirits and a good attitude, but before I could make it out, that all changed. I spent almost $100. As I was checking out, I was short 4 cents. The guy named Othon, who worked in self check out came over to assist. I told him I could run to my car and grab the money. He then told me to wait and he will be back. He proceeded to walk over to another guy to get a gift card that they swipe for customers. I then hear the other rude and disrespectful guy, Spencer (team member lead), angrily tells Othon that i wilfully have to pay it. They both walk over to me. And while Othon was sweet and helpful, Spencer rudely repeats that I would have to pay. I told him that I was already willing to go and get it out of my car, but Othon wanted to help to save me the trip. After saying all of that, things immediately take a turn. I find myself in an argument with Spencer. Othon tells me if I go to a register and have someone ring me up, then the 4 cents wouldn't interfere with me finishing my checkout. I said ok and thanks so much. I head over to the available young lady, who I forgot to get her name. While she is about to check me out, the so called team lead, Spencer follows me over to the register still provoking me and at this point, insulting me. He aggressively getting loud telling me where my basket should be and trying to tell the cashier how to do her job. ( which she was fine). I then get loud and tell him to get away from me, I didn't need his help. He has already caused a scene over 4 cents, so im livid at this moment. He screams and tells me this isn't a gas station. I match his energy and tell him I know exactly where I am. We went back and forth for a minute or two. I finished checking out and began yo head towards the door. There's a protocol before leaving the store. I wait in the line behind a lady while a gentleman scanned her receipt. Spencer runs over and starts yelling at me telling me I can just leave. I then told him im not going anywhere, dont u have a job to do. As he's talking trash, I let the guy scan my receipt and then exited. Othon sees me leaving and told me he is sorry. I told him he didnt have to apologive for someone else's ignorance. Spencer follows me out just to keep arguing. I told him to have a good day and that God will humble him when he least expects it. As I loaded my things in the car, I was gonna leave. But my conscience wouldn't let me. I went back inside the store and asked for a manager. Customer service pointed me to 2 ladies who were supposedly front end supervisors. I told them what happened. They already knew who i was talking about because apparently he has been a problem well before me. They advised me to speak to the manager. The manager, Mrs. Tijuana (Taj), came over to me and I then told her what exactly happened. She gives an apology of what transpired inside the store, and that nothing like this usually happens. I told her I've never dealt with anyone so rude and psychotic while shopping at SAM'S all these years. I would hate to have to travel farther to another location just to get great customer service, but I will. I refuse to spend money where im not welcomed. Used to going into this Sam's at least two times a week. Sometimes I have been there more often because I done a lot of shopping for work. They have a good selection of food items, paper goods, cat and dog food, nuts, frozen foods etcetera. Location is great for me and usually the staff is friendly. I have only once gotten not so good customer service. The Pharmacy is a nice addition even I use Kroger Pharmacy closer to home for my prescription medicines. Basically, they have everything one needs. Also they carry, hearing aides, optical items and electronics. When I want to purchase smaller amounts of food Wal-Mart is another option. Best thing is not to go on a Sunday afternoon. It's a madhouse. read more

Avoid the automotive department unless you're a DIY person. I went to have a screw removed from the tread of my front tire and have it patched if needed. I also told them to check the spare because it has been losing air. Since I was there, I went ahead and added 2 new rear tires - that I could have gotten another month or so out of - and am happy with that purchase BUT when I picked up my car, they had not removed the screw from the tread. Luckily, I checked it before leaving and asked about it. The guy who did the work said he didn't know anything about the front tire or spare and then said they don't do patch work on sidewalls - but the screw wasn't in the sidewall! It was in the tread. He said I'd have to purchase new front tires instead. Oh, and they also didn't check the spare. At the end of the day, they didn't take care of the problem that I needed fixed (but at least I left with new tires - that I could have waited to replace). They knew in advance before I added the new rear tires that the reason I was there was to get the front tire fixed. The worker guy didn't even know he was supposed to check it. Sam's is much easier to shop at than Costco. Their "scan and go" on the app is awesome. Just scan your items as you put them in the cart. No more standing in lines to cash out. Just scan, swipe and go to the exit. They'll scan the code on your phone along either 3 or 4 items and you'll be on your way. I've been using it for 6 months and I love it. It can also be used at the gas pumps. Costco is such a drag. The parking lot is like a game of "Frogger". You need to show a card either way your picture on it. You get ambushed by sales reps. The lines are ridiculously long. Sam's is just a better place now. read more

This Sams Club always seem to have problems. Today (like many other days) items scan for considerably MORE than the sign suggests. They need to get their act together, as no one likes to wait in line for "customer no-service" to get a refund on wrongly priced items. This is the worst Sams club I have ever been to. The location is decent, conveniently located right off of Cobb Parkway. There is plenty of parking, and even on a busy day which is every weekend I've never had an issue with parking. The gas station is off to the side and if everyone followed the arrows which all go in one direction there would never be any congestion, unfortunately at this location people do whatever they want so you might have to wait longer than usual sometimes. I'm impressed with this location's tire and battery department. I've come here a few times to get tires and rotations and they were fast and professional. I would give this department 5 stars. Typically the self check lines are fast and convenient especially if you are only getting a few items. At this location the check out process is horrible. All the lines manned by cashiers are normally crowded. The part that upsets me the most is all the people that have no idea what they are doing with full carts that hold up the self check out lines. Then there is always a backup getting out the store with them having to check each cart twice. I love shopping at Sam's Club and the many deals they offer. This location is just too stressful for me to come to frequently. I would reccomend the tire and battery department but other than that this is the worst Sam's Club I have been to. read more

Came here after a Braves day game this past Sunday to do some quick shopping before heading home. This was probably not the best decision I made because there were a lot of shoppers here at that time. I don't live anywhere near here, but I didn't think I'd make it to my "home" Sam's Club before it closed for the day. This is one of the least maintained Sam's Club I have ever visited. Even the parking lot, which is large and free, and in which you'll probably never have an issue finding an open parking space, was not clean. I found a parking space that was close to the entrance, but I had to get out of my car to kick the half flattened cardboard box out of the car's way so I could complete my parking job. A face masked employee at the entrance checked everyone's membership cards presented to her, and she also took the time to clean/disinfect shopping carts for any shoppers who stopped long enough for her to do so. Two employees were very busy at the exit, checking receipts and performing some random scans to ensure people paid for their items. However, between the entrance and the exit, it didn't seem that most of the employees cared about doing their jobs. This is a big Sam's Club store, and there were lots of employees roaming the store. I didn't see anyone cleaning up after messy shoppers, and the store itself was messy. While I was there, I saw a mother playing foot golf with a whole lot of blueberries that had been spilled on the floor, trying to scoot all of the dropped fruit to the sides so that oblivious shoppers wouldn't mash them - and there was an employee not more than four feet away from her who was talking to another customer, looking the other way and trying to ignore the loose blueberries. I expected the employee to radio for help and take on the job of marshaling customers away from that area, but THAT didn't happen. Other employees were at the back of the store, in plain sight of customers, looking like they were having fun, talking loud and laughing in a very messy area. Overall, the store needed to be cleaned and needed to be stocked much better. Appearance was just awful. I found everything I needed, which, really, wasn't that much, thankfully. Cereal, milk, eggs ... that's all, and all of these items looked good. I was going to buy some apples, but all of the different types (think there were at least four different types of apples) looked old, like, brownish. Everyone, if you haven't done so already, I suggest downloading the Sam's Club mobile app to your phone. This way you can scan your purchases as you put them into your shopping cart, ensure each items' price as you scan them, perform the checkout before you get to the exit, and walk right by all the other shoppers physically waiting in long Iines. You'll still have to stop at the exit so that employees can scan your receipt and do their random scans, but you'll save a lot of time by not having to queue up. No pics with this review. Was a member years ago, left because it got run down and joined another "club." Received a promotion whereas if you paid the $45 membership, you'd receive a $45 credit on your account. Paid the $45, used the credit to upgrade to premium membership at the same time online. Was there yesterday (still a nasty dump and not well stocked)... They couldn't find premium membership or the $45 credit.., spent 40 minutes at their customer/no-service no help desk. Manager refused to help, told me to handle over the phone or SAM'S website. 2 1/2 hours later, nothing, no one but me cared. Since their website didn't have an option to cancel the membership and calling back (no human help - had to use Chat) asked to cancel a 3 day old membership. Nope, couldn't do it. So I called my credit card company, disputed it and told them to refuse and future charges from Sams. Just know this: Their Marietta location is nasty, poorly stocked, poorly staffed and they simply don't care about customers. Their corporate employees are the same, useless. Their business practices are bait and switch, a lure to get you in the door, then (in my opinion) the fraud begins. Avoid SAM'S! Stay away!! Costco and BJ's are much better. LOL OK so now it is about the club. They've been going downhill fast, the service here is as bad as it gets. How bad do you ask? I've been a member 18 years and I think its time to go to Costco. They're trying to basically eliminate the cashier's............. way to go Walmart the owners of Sam's club you don't make enough now so you've got to put the squeeze on hourly employees? They opened up self service checkout stands a while back and they keep creeping towards the end of the line. No matter how many people stand in line for a human to check them out they just won't open another line they just don't care. You'll see this as a common thread about this store. I wanted to buy some tuna fish the remaining cases were on the second tier and back beyond reach, I went looking for someone to help me after 15 minutes I just said to heck with it and climbed onto the tier and got it myself. Sam's Club is not in the same category as Costco, however I do like that they carry different things that Costco does not carry. Hence why, we have both memberships. I also like that I can check out with my phone instead of using a teller or the kiosk machines. My hands stay cleaner and I don't have to touch machines that other people have touched before me. Sam's also carry Keurig Decaf coffee, Costco does not carry Keurig Decaf coffee so another reason why we go there sometimes. Overall, Sam's is okay. I prefer the one in Hiram, but when I don't want to drive so far, I come to this Sam's. read more

I have shopped here 5 years because it's 1 mile from my house.. every time I go in I regret it. Greeter greets you with attitude. Store opens at 10am, I was told with a stank attitude I had to wait 2 mins before I could enter. Every time I'm at the self checkout, I'm being eye balled by someone and they always have something to say with attitude. The lady at the door checking the receipts? I got an offer from Groupon to join Sam's Club for $20 and I thought why not. I will try it for $20. I went there with my wife today for the first and last time. We have been Costco members for over 20 years and are used to a certain level of all around quality and service. Well this place is by far one of the worst organized stores I have been to and the rudest employees. It took us longer to check out and go through security check than it took us to get there and shop. I always loved shopping at Costco and now I really appreciate Costco for its quality goods and great service. I am just happy it only cost me $20 to learn this. I am so disappointed with Sam's Club after being s member for over 20 years!! Since they have added their Plus membership they have placed all the products we regularly buy on their shipping only service to push you into paying that extra $100 for that service. I understand wanting to offer an alternative option for those who want delivery but don't deny your regular consumers that still walk into your local locations the option to get the same products too! It is insane to remove availability of certain brands of bottled water like Essentia, the original Ricolas, Listerine Total Care 6in1 Fresh mint to name a few. If enrolled in the Plus service you charge shipping for the water! All of a sudden you have your company brand available of the Essentia water. That is like forcing me to buy your brand instead of effectively competing on your own merits. I guess its tine to give my business to CoSTCO's. DO NOT BUY A BATTERY FROM SAM'S CLUB. I purchased a battery from Sam's yesterday but the tire and battery shop was about to close and they told me they didn't have time to install the battery. So I decided to take the battery with me. BAD MISTAKE! I HAVE NEVER BOUGHT THE LETTERING THAT WAS NOT CHARGED. BUT THIS ONE WAS APPARENTLY. I TRIED TO JUMP MY CAR OFF WITH A NEW BATTERY AND IT WOULD NOT WORK. I tried to charge the battery with a little electronic charger and the battery would not take a charge. I have been on the phone for 2 hours trying to get Sam's club to either come jump me off or to tell me back to the Sam's club in Marietta. I was passed from customer service representative to customer service representative to Marietta wrecker Service to know avail. They told me if I had bought tires they would send a wrecker to tow my car back to the Sam's club and I said it wasf I had bought a defective tire. I called the corporate office to complain, the customer service rep placed me on hold while she dialed the store of course they put her on hold. I go early between 7-9am if I use cash it will take forever in the line. Only one register. They basically force you to use debit or credit. I still didn't get an answer to my question. I'll have to take the tough chicken back without being in the pack I hope, they'll allow me to bring it back. Do better Sam's Club. I spend a lot of money there. The announcement had just been made at 6:04 PM on a Sunday evening that the store was now closed. Store was still packed and I had a cart full of over $200 worth of merchandise. As I'm pulling my last choice of the shelf to head to check out an employee gets my attention and says "Sir, we're closed." I told her I just heard the announcement and was heading to checkout. What was I supposed to do? Abandon my cart, walk out and comeback tomorrow? Every time I'm in this store I get some sort of attitude, mainly during checkout if I need assistance. They were very professional and they truly care about their customers. I'm from Texas but while visiting in Georgia, I called and ordered contacts for pick up and they assisted me! I always use Sam's optical to order my contacts back home, but since I'm out of town, it was super fast and easy to get some here in Marietta since they use the same database. They looked up my prescription and my order was completed. The price is very reasonable and my contacts are so comfortable!! See you in the future! She told us we would have to go check out again at a register with an employee so that they could key the code in with their phone because the item was not in their system correctly. On hold waiting to speak with a manager regarding an auto draft Sam's Club made to my discover card for membership renewal on 3/5/18. I did not sign up for auto draft (it is automatically set up when you join) and now I am in 6th week waiting for $45 refund check. The check was issued on 3/7/18, but no one at Sam's can tell me why it takes so long to distribute. Ridiculous! If you do sign up for membership, MAKE SURE you have them take off Auto Draft because after a year at Sam's Club you will not want to renew. I was unhappy with the selection and quality of products. Four people working and only one on the register. The person running the register had his eyes half closed and moved like he was a Union employee, with an organized slowdown approach. One would think that a place this big with million dollar sales a day would have better customer service. Think again. There are so many SAMs employees just standing around doing nothing. I got the eye contact of one of these individuals, but she quickly turned away & just stood there swinging her keys. Simply awful customer service. Even the people in front and behind me were appalled by the amount of employees standing around doing nothing. If you need to go to the photo center to pick up photos, park near the exit of the store and not the entrance even though the photo center near the entrance. The old "one-eyed" guard, a nickname given to her by her fellow workers, at the entrance wouldn't let me go back to my car parked outside the entrance parking lot with just a packet of photos that I just picked up. She made me walk to the exit and through the heavy rain to my car. I even pointed to my car which she could easily see through her eye, but she wouldn't let me by. Be wary that if you use the flat bed carts, the check out must transfer your items to another cart when ringing you up. This is their policy. Unfortunately, the past two times I was here, the check out attendant was upset that I had so many heavy items in my cart and wanted me to move the items to the other cart during check out. What!?!?! I don't understand why she didn't call for help. There are plenty employees that are just standing around. Once again, absolutely horrific customer service.
