While scooting around Hermitage/Donelson, I needed a few things and Walmart was the closest option so I swung by and was pleasantly surprised at the store, service and overall experience. One that I do not get at Walmarts. The store layout is standard, but this store has undergone all the major updates and is in great condition. It's well kept, bright, well stocked, organized and for the most part, clean. Service was also decent for a Walmart. The famed greeters were super kind, and the cashier was friendly and efficient. Overall, solid Walmart location. Legit would go out of the way to pop in here versus some of the other Nashville locations. read more

If I could give a negative number I would 1) Asked someone for help getting something off the top shelf. RESPONSE: No habla English 2) asked someone where the canned pumpkin was RESPONSE: (sarcastically) It's in the baking aisle 3) Was in cosmetics where everything is locked up. No one around. I searched , couldnt find anyone nearby and finally left without buying anything 4) and then yesterday. Again in cosmetics. no one around. I finally found someone and asked if I could get help in cosmetic RESPONSE: well they should be stocking shelves over there. The terrible customer service today confirmed why I don't shop at the Hermitage/Donelson Walmart that is less than 10 minutes from my house. No assistance whatsoever was given. I encountered 5 employees from the Cashier up to the Lead who would not go and verify that the price they have on the Christmas Tree (On a Bold Yellow Sticker) was showing the tree style and number that I had was on sale. Not one of them was willing to leave their post to go and verify. Finally, the Lead said that the price was just for the display only, ok then I will take the display, but I don't think that is what the ticket showed, and of course she came back well there is a sign on the Snowman and Santa Clause right beside it that says displays only on sale- ? what does that have to do with the Tree's Bold Sticker it said nothing about a display its only showing as if this particular style tree is on sale; if it's confusing to me just think if I was an elderly person who is looking at the Snowman and the Santa Clause when I am trying to but a Christmas Tree. Plus, even if I overlooked something on the tag because I don't have a problem with being wrong, none of the 5 people that I discussed this with took the time to check or even wanted to help me get the display tree. So much happened in all these engagements it would take too long to mention everyone's rational for the price difference because they were all different; and the cashier just wanted me to get out of her line so she can ring up the next person. This is just a brief synopsis of the encounter at the dreaded Hermitage/Donelson Walmart. So, after spending nearly 1 hr. in Walmart I ended up leaving with absolutely nothing not even the so-called display tree that was on sale as they say. I guess I am heading to Hobby Lobby tomorrow to buy a tree that's 50% off after wasting an hour in Walmart, I should have went to Hobby Lobby in the 1st place. I have had 15 surgeries. I asked for my groceries delivered to my front door and Instead they put them in front of my garage at the other end of the house. I had to go get them from there and now have to go to the ER because thier driver was to lazy to do thier job right. I have tried to call and hit every single option to try and get a hold of a manager and no one answers in any department. I cannot find the number for the regional manager Timothy Wilson. I cannot get a hold of a human at all so now on top of being in excruciating pain I will have to.go there after I get out of the ER. You would think there is 1 person there who can answer a phone..maybe a lawsuit will get thier attention because obviously no one at this walmart cares enough to answer the phone in ANY department even HR. read more

Grocery delivery mainly since surgery years ago and fair rating until lately. Last 3-4 months - horrible. Zero star if could. Untrained staff. Rotten produce delivered. Groceries one stop away for over 2 hours. Ice cream melted. Candies a melted sticky mess in heat for unknown time. Hateful phone and email customer service reps (off shore of course) trying to paraphrase and failing miserably. Massive web site errors. Drivers not able to find home. Account holds (money held) and taken out instead of credited after "unable to deliver and products returned to store" messages evidencing did NOT receive. The so-called manager of that dept. (she said) advised I had not done anything wrong when I asked how I could make the experience better. Manager there is no way to make it better because are taking shipping orders out of local shelf stock and having cheaper subcontracted (not Walmart) drivers deliver. Many subcontracted drivers unable to understand English, possibly malnourished, seemingly fearful (can guess of what), and etc. Wish could tip them at least enough for groceries for themselves but cannot. Manager advised I could pay more (lots more) for WM drivers and home delivery services. Neighbors have said Hermitage WM is lots better to go into now. May try that next time. read more

Man what a difference. I haven't been to this Walmart for a while because it was not stocked well and messy. Now it is totally different. It stocked up, clean, upgrades look great, and it's like a totally different store. The only issue is with the remodeling I have to learn all over where everything is. The Auto Center at this location is the best! Jay, the manager I assume is great! I drive from Madison to come to this location because of their great customer service, knowledge of issues and just great service. This shouldn't come as a surprise but I am sad that it is this way. The worse customer service and management team is at this location. Well and the one on Nolensville road and Harding place is awful too. Like I want to scream out of the top of my lungs on how frustrated but mainly sad the people that work there make me. It's a SHAME the level of laziness they have come to think it's ok to have at work. Tell me why these people here are acting like I'm bugging them when I ask them to do something under their job description like usuing a gift card to pay. Yes! I was told she wasn't allowed to use the register to use a gift card, that I had to go to the other registers that were open (about 3) and wait another 30-40minutes in line because you can't use it? Maybe is more like you don't know how to use it? That is lack of training and management. That's not taking care of the customer. This Walmart needs to have most of the registers open at all times, specially now on the holidays and they need to have more training for their employees too. They need to have a person that cleans the bathrooms or checks on them often as they are usually dirty and using supplies. Overall it's Walmart. read more

It took AN HOUR to get my pickup order. I avoid Walmart at all costs, but the one time I needed to buy a product through them for store pickup, they gave my item to the wrong customer. After talking with them inside, I was then told for some reason to go wait outside in a curbside pickup spot while they get my item. I then waited for over 30 minutes during which I called the store multiple times and multiple departments with no answer. The curbside pickup number goes directly to voicemail. I ended up going back inside where I had to wait for another 20 minutes for someone to bring me my item. I don't expect customer service to be good at Walmart, but it's completely nonexistent here. read more

Absolutely terrible experience with and online order pickup. No employees were willing to help and kept trying to pass me off to anyone but themselves. Waited over 40 minutes to pick up a single item. Couldn't get anyone on the phone. The number you call to notify them of the pickup is not answered and says to leave a voicemail which of course has a full mailbox. I assume my item was stolen by an employee and after finally reaching a manager they were able to go refill the order and get it to me. Don't use the online pickup unless you have a ton of free time and are ok with your items being stolen or "lost" by the employees. read more

I grew up in Arkansas, the land of Walmart, and I'm completely dumbfounded at the lack of customer service they have here. Please save yourself the headache and visit Target or a Walmart in another city. I've seen Walmart employees cut to the front of a line with Management looking on, several requests for help in departments without anybody showing up. Ordered a phone for pickup and received confirmation. Shortly after I received another email saying it had to be shipped. It arrived the next day. I attempted to set it up and received a message from at&t that the phone was not activated before shipping. I called 1800walmart and arguing with them for a while I was told to take it to the store service desk and they would activate it. So I went to the store. Keep in mind I am a former service desk associate for Walmart and know the policies. The team lead tried lying and said it was a 3rd party sale which is was not. It was bought and shipped by Walmart. He stated that since it was a 3rd party sale that I would have to ship it back myself. Which is not the policy. Even when it is a 3rd party sale Walmart accepts it and ships it for you. The catch is you don't get the refund until the shipper receives it. We continue to argue over this for over an hour. The girl working the service desk kept interrupting me so I couldn't talk. Finally a manager appeared and started trying to help. After being there over an hour I produced a return barcode and told them to just return it and I would go to Target and purchase it. The manager was able to return it quickly. I then had to go to the at&t store because when I attempted to setup the phone it locked my account because it appeared that I was trying to use a stolen phone. I then went home and called 1800walmart and complained they offered me a 25 dollar credit and gave me a promo code to enter. I tried to use it and big surprise... It didn't work. So I called again. Finally I did receive the correct code. Not sure if you know but recently a woman was attacked trying to enter the store, a man was shot to death in the parking lot and another one was dragged to her death in the parking lot when she was robbed for her purse. So warning to you all this is a dangerous place to go and the employees are rude and lie. Also I purchased and paid for tires last month. I arrived for the scheduled installation got checked in and sat in the waiting room. A little while later I am told the tires can't be located. I asked the automotive manager so what are we going to do about this because I have already paid for them. He actually said I don't know. You can try to call customer care. I called and argued with them for an hour. Finally the girl working the automotive register said I got and took care of it. This the most pathetic place to try to go. read more

If I could go back in time, I would never have bought four new tires from Walmart - more specifically, I would not have purchased the life time warranty because that only meant that I have to deal with the people who manage this store every time my tire(s) need something. EVERY TIME I go into this place to get my tire repaired it's the same disrespect, and lack of customer service. God help me if I have to call them - it takes an act of God to get them to answer the phone so I can ask if it's ready. They tell me they will call me when it's ready but they never do. I don't hold Walmart to high standards and I typically expect to wait in line/ deal with some level of Walmart craziness however, Today took the cake and will be the last time that I visit a Walmart. After checking out we stopped at the subway inside Walmart once we made it to the door the lady asks for my receipt ... which wasn't a big deal however, after digging in my purse I was unable to find it she proceeds to tell me that I MUST have it as everyone gets one when checking out ... ... so after I explained again that I was unable to find it and her telling me I can't leave without it I suggest that someone could check the camera at the self checkout to verify that I had paid. She tells me that they do not have access to the videos if this is true than what is the point in the cameras? So she asks what register I went to so I provide the info she asks the lady at the self checkout if she remembered me to which she reply's "no" at this point she becomes very rude/ confrontational I stated that I would go to customer service once there I explain the situation again and the lady is able to pull up the transition and walks me to the door to say that I can leave. At no point did anyone bother to apologize for the behavior of the lady at the door ... asking for a receipt was not the problem her attitude and general rudeness was. I will never shop at a Walmart again. I am not a thief and do not take kindly to being accused of not paying for things just because I was unable to find my receipt. I will gladly pay a little more for respect and costumer service. read more

I dread going to this Walmart. Some staff are polite but I went in to cash my check once, the older lady (manager) was VERY rude. She then had her hoodlum employees (3 young girls) bash me, telling me to go somewhere else, because I asked to file a complaint and they refused to allow me to. I could go on and on about how much I hate Wal-Mart but this review is for the Pharmacy only. Basically not impressed. No drive-thru. The techs seem a little unprofessional and not sure of what they're doing. The pharmacist wasn't that friendly and suggested I get the doctor to explain the medication to me. Umm, couldn't/shouldn't he have done that? I'm giving 3 stars only because they were pretty quick to fill it (it was only 3 pills) and Wal-Mart seems to have the cheapest Rx prices around. I've called other pharmacies to compare prices. I'll come back again if I need a drug that my insurance doesn't cover but I'll still be getting my regular prescriptions somewhere else. read more
