Ok so I have a love hate relationship with this place really. First off I will say I'm a sucker for cheap prices. The low prices at walmart are hard to pass up. Especially when you have two kiddos and a husband who are soo spoiled. Haha. So I am always trying to find new ways to cut corners and save a penny. It's not easy but I have to admit that walmart makes it easy. The Super center is a one stop shop for most of my grocery items at the lowest prices. I get my cereal, milk, eggs, chips, oatmeal, drinks, bread, chicken, juice, coffee, soups, tea, sausage, tapitio, hotdogs, tortillas, seasonings, rice, and canned goods from here. As for non grocery items the prices are even better. For instance dog bowls, harnesses, toys, kitchen items, vacuums, pillows, t-shirts, deodorant, water shoes, workout gear, diapers, wipes, cleaning supplies, underwear, socks, beauty items and mouthwash, etc. These are all the cheapest prices I've seen anywhere. With that said, this place has its ups and downs with its organization and cleanliness. Most areas are much worse than others. Much! Like the women's pajama section is always the worst. With the dressing room next to it filled with employees, I would think it would be cleaner. HHHHMMMM..... Many cashiers here are usually sad or tired looking. Waiting to get out of work I'm sure. The lines are always long and there are only a handful of workers available for check out. This place is ALWAYS packed so they truly need more workers. The stocking team does a wonderful job though. It is rare that something is out of stock at this walmart. JUST A HEADS UP: They don't sell good tritip, vegetables (including avocado), fruits, buffalo wings, or ground chicken at this location. And they never have garlic bread! Geerrrr! In my opinion it is best to go to safeway for these items. Hopefully my review was helpful. 24 hour Walmart! Can I say that this is a weird one? People walking around singing out loud and another playing the harmonica. I don't even know.... Disturbing a little bit. Register person was a bit slow and talkative to other workers, not customers. Bought candy, a drink, and chips for the trip to Coachella! Candy was $0.99 each, Vitamin water was $1.00, and Pringles were $1.99. Good deals. read more

I guess I have never really been to a Walmart Super Store so I didn't know what to expect ... but it was freaking overwhelming! I guess they're only 24/7 so it only makes sense why its a complete and utter mess inside. I feel like this is one of those Walmarts you could get lost and live in for a few months before someone discovered you were actually here. For reference, the automotive section is all the way to the right in the back corner behind the gardening section in case you were interested. There is also a separate entrance if you don't want to battle through the 2614 shopping carts in the front. The employees are more or less nonexistent. If you are a travel healthcare professional don't shop at this Walmart especially if you need a money order. Only one person apparently is certified and knows how to do it for the entire store. And when asked where else around town can I get one. No one knows. How can you not know your own town resources. Anyone from corporate please contact me. this is unacceptable. Just spent 30min waiting for help at bike center asked 3 different employees for assistance with unlocking glass enclosure. For a store its size and I'm sure it brings in some very good money, you would think they could have more than 1 or 2 cashiers open. The employees, atleast the ones I have dealt with are not helpful at all, you ask a question and the answer back is "I don't know." Locking up merchandise is fine but could you have someone around with keys ? It's ridiculous to search for 15 minutes for a key holder so they can unlock my $1.00 body spray. read more

The Gilroy Walmart is first-class. The staff is always professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and pleasant. On two separate occasions, a staff member has stopped what s/he was doing to check in the back for frozen mangoes and Fairlife milk. The store is spotless and well-organized. I will even go so far as to put the Gilroy Walmart up with the likes of Nordstrom and Disneyland service! read more

This Walmart is HUGE! This is probably the biggest Walmart I've been to. It's as big as a Costco warehouse! If not, then it sure seems like it... Anyways, I came here randomly with my friends at 12 in the morning because this is the closest 24 hour Walmart to San Jose. This wasn't a random adventure because my friend needed to buy something. We came at the time they were restocking the shelves so there were a bunch of crates in some of the aisles but that's fine with me. There's not much to say about Walmart because almost every store has the same products as the other ones. At this time, you'll usually find a bunch of people playing games in the video game section but that's about it. read more

I love this store and I keep finding even more stuff that I like! I am now a fan of... 1) Their freshly made sushi. I bought the smoked salmon roll and spicy tuna roll. Obviously, it's not mega gourmet sushi, but it's a yummy snack for $4.95. Looking forward to trying the eel roll next time. Man behind the counter who makes the sushi seems pretty friendly as well. 2) Their Great Value individual serving sundaes in the ice cream aisle. I've only had the butter pecan/caramel/chocolate turtle one so far, but last time they restocked with a bunch of new flavors that looked interesting. Always have great/low prices on any merchandise. But their bathroom is so disgusting that even before you enter, you can already smell the strong scent of urine. The floors are wet and so sticky and NO signs that says "SLIPPERY". BAD BAD JOB for keeping your customers safe. read more

No one answers the phone. Customer service is slow and associates could not care less. Everything is always delayed here.

I've been to this Walmart a few times and it's never very enjoyable. Customer service here is lacking and it's pretty unorganized. But today I went in and my fiancé needed to use the restroom we went to the one in the back of the store where we were shopping. It was a mess! Paper every where, trash cans over filled, and the stalls were pretty gross. While I waited, I saw 4 employees walk in and walk out and not one ever retired to clean up. They have a sheet on the wall with the times the bathroom was last cleaned and it had not been filled out all day which is why it looked the way it did. Bathrooms are already a dirty place no matter where you are, please do a better job at keeping up on your bathroom cleaning schedule. And train employees to clean it if they see that it is trashed. read more

It is very frustrating to call customer service and let it ring 150 times and no one answer. I tried all departments on several occasions and same result I ended up hanging up after 150 rings. Is your management fully trained to be in management? Is it humanly possible to listen to a phone ring 150 times and be able to ignore it? This review is for "Brittany" at the customer service desk. From the moment we began to speak w/ her she clearly had an attitude. First she accused us of not speaking to a manager DESPITE the fact that she had admitted to coming back from break minutes earlier. You could clearly tell that she hated her job and didn't want to be there. Great customer service skills Brittany. We stood there for 10 minutes as she ignored us and other customers after she barked at someone else to look for the manager. Clearly no people skills or social skills. I didn't know Walmart kept racist employees as the touch point of their organization. I'll stick to Target in the future. Message to Upper Management: Please organize your front of house. Overall the store is nice. Large, clean, organized and the checkers at the front are always friendly. This review however is based on my on-line order and in-store pick-up. I went on-line to see which location carried a water table I wanted to purchase for my nephew. It said that the Gilroy location would have it for immediate pick-up if I placed the order on-line. I work in Gilroy so this was perfect. I could swing by the next day on my way home. 3 hours after placing my order and paying for it, I reviewed an email from them. The item I ordered was no longer in stock and would take 3-6 days to come in. That was cutting it close but on the 6th day it arrived and I went to pick it up. I asked the very nice man at the front door where I needed to go to pick up my purchase. He pointed to the very back of the store. Great! I walked to the Walmart.com pick-up and waited .... And waited ... I "rang" for help and still I continued to wait until 15 minutes later a young lady arrived from the main floor to help me. The way this pick-up area is manned is just awkward. Not having anyone physically working in the area and having to ring for service just doesn't make sense. And having to wait for as long as I did without anyone coming to help doesn't seem very customer service friendly. Will I use this service again? Maybe if I don't have another option. However, I do think the store itself is not bad for a Walmart. read more

Was very disappointed in the way GILROY Walmart cleans there carts and restrooms. No one cleans the carts and there was no disinfectant cleaner anywhere around to at least try to wipe and clean my cart myself. The shelves of merchandise are stuffed with products not taken out of packaging properly and are put in wrongly marked/priced areas. The 2 employees that helped me in the shampoo area where very sweet and kind. They tried there very best to help me with my questions. This is for the PHARMACY only!!! I was horribly discriminated against, and Mentally abused by the Pharmacy Manager!! I waited 2 hours, to find out that my insurance was not covering me!!?? WTH? The head Pharmacist talked down to me, degrading me.. Her name is " Ai" i'm not sure of the spelling. She treated me like I was a piece of garbage it was awful!! I would've gone elsewhere, but they were the only pharmacy that carried the generic medication, I could take for my epilepsy. I'm not sure how she looks in the mirror every night. This store SUCKS! Ordered my groceries online, waited an extra hour after scheduled pick up time before I was informed by txt message that my order was ready... Drove to the store waited in the car line for 30 minutes, then took my spot in the orange designated pick up area only to be ignored by the Wall Mart employee's for over an hour. Other shoppers started to notice that no employees are coming out of the building, nothing was communicated to those of us that had been waiting patiently... Called the number given to get help, no answer... called another number given to ask for help no answer... I was dumbfounded that they would just leave us all hanging like that! I was extremely disappointed but to be honest I felt terribly sorry for the young mom who had returned today only to be told that they were running behind... last word of communication to any of us. Im totally dissatisfied with the service, given that the situation is crazy right now and everyone is trying there best to be kind and patient, wouldn't it have been much more acceptable for someone to come out and let us know what was going on. I left 2 1/2 hours waisted! Zero communication! Now everyone is trying to be patient but to be left hanging for two 1/2 hours is ridiculous! When I called the customer service line I was no less disappointed I was asked to call back during business hours .... but according to the recording...it was during their regular business hours. If you want ZERO customer service and have to dodge product all over the floor then this Walmart is the perfect place to shop. We waited over half an hour for someone to come help us open a glass case to buy a pack of mens tee shirts after pressing the "call for help buttons" AND asking another employee for help and still no one showed up. When we asked another employee who was walking by all she said "it's not my department so it's not my problem." I will never shop at this Walmart ever again even if I got paid to. The trash alone all around the store was disgusting but the awful customer service from its employees made the store absolutely horrendous. read more

I work in customer service myself and am not usually one to leave bad reviews or complain but my visit to this location was exceptionally bad. I visited this Walmart in hopes of buying a tv, I checked online and noticed a few TV's that said "in-store purchase only" with this Gilroy location. I do not live in Gilroy so I drove about 30 minutes to your location solely for the purpose of buying a tv. Once I got there I went to the electronics department and found the tv I wanted. I noticed an associate and asked if I could get some help he said he'd be right with me and he walked away to the register. I understand that there are other responsibilities your associates may have so I waited about 15 mins. Then I asked another associate for assistance and he said he just had to get a key from someone, I didn't realize the TVs were locked which confused me but I just said okay. Finally another 25 mins passed and still no assistance so this time my dad asked another associate and they said that they were out of TV's. First of all why wouldn't the first associate notify me that you guys were all out of tvs from the beginning instead of having me wait there for who knows how long? Second of all why would it show that there are tvs available online? I checked right now (the next day) and it does in fact show that there are tvs in stock. Mind you the associates were very rude and seemed like they could care less about helping me. One of the worst experience of my entire life shopping at this Walmart store. I asked for a specific item. One lady told me in Spanish pointing in my basket were you got those the item for that is there if not then not her problem that they are out even tho they are stocking them at night. I asked so many people working there saying excuse me I can I get some help no they just ignored me. Then I open some boxes from the pallets. Worst. Store. Ever. I used to work for Walmart (not this one, thank god), so that's saying something. Walking out the Home and Pharmacy vestibule, 6ft. to the entrance doors with a big bag of ice, dude in a yellow vest runs in front of me and hurriedly locks the door. Says "sorry this exit closed". WTF?!? My running car, (thank you remote start) is parked not 20 ft. from the damn doors. I point to it and ask if I can just go right there... he says, "no sorry gotta go around". Really? Do you not see the giant bag of ice I'm carrying?!? Not to mention It's 97 f**king degrees outside. If you're going to arbitrarily close one of your main entrance doors, maybe you should POST SIGNS with a closing time both inside AND outside the building, so you your customers can... oh I don't know... be prepared for your stupid shenanigans?!?! If I could give them zero stars, I totally would. They locked up underwear. Underwear. And toothpaste. Really?! I wouldn't mind if it weren't so damn hard to find an employee that actually has the keys. RUDE, incompetent workers. Why even add the call buttons for locked up items if the employees don't answer them?

I had an appointment at 8 am for tires but was told they do not start appointments until 9(they open at 8). The person helping me was condescending and gave me the run around. I tried to buy my tires on line and have them put on there but the order was canceled by mistake but the tires were delivered there. After being talked to like a child I started to leave. The man said "wait I think I saw your tires." I get back to the counter where he then tells me even if he had them he couldn't sell them to me...WTF. BAD SERVICE BAD COMMUNICATION. So I came to Wal-Mart to do some shopping and look around. I had surgery on my foot and can't put weight on it. I can use crutches to get to the front door to get a scooter shopping cart, but not to shop. Well I get to the spot to pick up a cart and there was one that was either broken or the battery was dead. If its broke take it out back, if it's a dead battery then charge it. I asked somebody if they had anymore scooters available. They checked outside and at the other entry. I appreciate the effort to find a cart for me, but this has been a common issue. The last time we were here, there was a broken scooter and my daughter had to go search for another. We were not the only ones looking for handicap scooters. I'm not sure if there are laws about having enough handicap scooters available, but I'm going to check. So to no avail, no handicap scooters were found and I had to leave the store. It's 9:30 in the morning and the handicap stalls were fairly empty. So I don't know who was using all the carts. Who knows how many they actually have. I hope Wal-Mart opens up their pocket book and buys more handicap scooters because they obviously need them !!! read more
