This is a small Walmart but they had what we needed in a pinch. I'm glad it was there to pop into and we did get a cookie for the road. Mine had sprinkles. It was fine. No complaints. Good service. Pretty clean read more

Walmart Supercenter - Grocery Near Me - Delano, California

Walmart is what it is, you know? This specific location is in a great area, many shops and restaurants around. The staff here, however aren't very helpful. Check out lines are horrendous; this goes for self check out as well! Given it's the only Walmart in the area, if you're desperate, this would be the place to go, I suppose. read more

Worst customer service. They only have certain hours for customer service and when I went they were already closed. I've never heard of this an actual store you couldn't return things during business hours. read more

Walmart Steals Hundreds of Dollars From Unsuspecting Customers. At the self-checkout, I hit the button to buy bags for my purchases, only to be told that there are no bags. This has happened to me a couple of times. Now multiply that by the number of customers who don't get in the long customer service line to get their 10+ cents back, and Walmart's got a nice little scam going. And I get it, I guess I should have asked first if there were bags to purchase, so my bad. But when I brought this up to the Manager, that there shouldn't be the option to purchase bags of you don't actual sell bags, her first words are, it's the government's fault for banning plastic bags, instead of saying I'm so sorry about that. Here's your 20 cents and I'll make sure the computers get reprogrammed. I'm just so tired of people who don't know how to do their job and act like the customers hard- earned dime is not important. On a positive note, the team members were polite and not rude or mean to me. read more

I understand you might be tired at the end of your work day but that does not mean that you speak with a rude tone or act dismissively to customers. Nyna here at Walmart treated my sisters and I like that. This was a couple days ago but I forgot to post. read more

Just another Walmart with 700 check stands and three actual cashiers. You can always tell the kind of people that go shop at these places by the way they treat the stores. Only so much employees on a minimum salary care or can do. read more

I mostly go to Walmart for buying foods, tools, sports, gaming, and clothes for the past 6 years

Walmart in Delano!!!! Delano is coming up in the world! Delano upgraded from dollar stores to Kmart and now Walmart!!! If you live on the opposite end of Delano near County Line Rd, chances are you will probably visit Kmart versus Walmart because Walmart is near the first exit of Delano and Kmart is near the last exit of Delano... Pros of going to Walmart in Delano... prices are cheaper versus Kmart, there are more variety of whatever you are looking for at Walmart and Walmart closes at midnight versus Kmart at 9pm. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fan of the Walmart in Delano, but I do visit often when I'm in town because I grab a few things for my mom here when I come to visit her. This particular Walmart is pretty busy and yet you can never find a worker for help if you need it. The workers are nice, but are always MIA. This Walmart is not the cleanest either; however, I noticed they have a lot of inventory because I can usually find a lot of Keurig pods flavors here versus the ones in Bakersfield. They also have a lot more products on shelves and maybe it's because Delano is much smaller and less customers versus Bakersfield, but this is a plus for me when I shop here. Parking area is no problem as far as parking because it's a huge parking lot; however, you must make sure to lock your cars and hide your belongings because this Walmart has a bunch of crazies that like to break into people's cars, but then again... why'd you bring your expensive things to Walmart in Delano? So, if you lose something... don't say I didn't warn you. read more

I had an issue with my e.b.t. card trying to go from cal-fresh to paying with cash, after trying to do this on my own and failed. I voiced my frustrations and the cashier helped me saying, "Don't worry, I will help you." I was so reassured. So we did the transaction and it was Easy-Peasy! I forgot the cashier's name only that on my receipt the stare manager read Manager Jaime. ST# 05215 OP# 002277 TE#07 TR#6944 ID# 7SHKZG1TGRNP Date 3/27/2023 13:39:31 read more

Walmart Supercenter - Delano ca - Grocery Near Me - Delano, California

Outside-carts are everywhere! I don't blame the employees, but customers should always put the carts back! Diaper/Baby Wipes section is ALWAYS a mess and their items are ALWAYS out of stock. Craft area where acrylic paints are always a total mess. I have always left a pack of baby wipes in the cart at checkout (since it's a huge box) and always told the employee to scan it-and the employees do on previous trips have always done that, BUT today the cashier told me," Can you get the wipes?" So I carry it for her to scan (I didn't care much of it), but she added, "I will not go to the cart and scan it, if it's not heavy." Wow I have never experienced that in Walmart ever. Can't she just take the scan gun & scan it? She was just plain rude from the start, NO hello, NO thanks. She just handed me the receipt. How can Walmart hire people like this? If you don't want to work there, JUST DON'T. Her name was Julieann by the way. As soon as I got into that line I can already tell she wasn't in the mood to be there. I will for sure DO answer the survey they always bug is to do online when walking out of the establishment. (this review was 2 yrs ago w/1 star) Updated review (10-2018) Impressed with picking up online orders, it's a breeze and fast, keep up the good work. Now if they can update their self checkout machines to scan faster and respond that'll be great. Open up more registers please for the elders/or others that don't know how to use self checkout machines! read more

I try and try with this store but I'm so done. Ordered Groceries the night before. They were supposed to be delivered by 12-1pm. Here comes 3 and nothing, I finally get someone on the line and "let me get a driver". It was supposed to be here by 12. No thanks!!! read more

Can you write a review without attaching stars? The Delano Walmart is without a doubt, the absolute worse of any other Walmart I have shopped at. From trying to speak to someone over the phone to walking through the front door, the experience is nauseating. Staff is somber, clueless and lacks the tiniest hint of any type of customer service skill. I believe the store management is to blame. Management themselves lack the ability to make decisions or address customer complaints without using the excuse of "that's just the way we do things." Who hires management here anyways? A manager should set a good example by "leading," not just dipping out in the shadows when things go awry. No one here knows what they're doing or cares to learn. It makes me sad to think that our community is taken for granted by this conglomerate. If you can avoid this place please do! I guarantee the experience will disappoint you. read more

Oh Delano how you always seem to find a way to mess up a good thing. Why must you leave things on the floor and be so inconsiderate the few times I've visited this Walmart? One of the few positives is Black Friday. This has been my go to spot the last 3 years and I've been able to walk in and grab what I'm looking for each time. This could easily be a 2 star review but the fact that they always handle Black Friday fairly well lands them a 3. One of the negatives is the staff. I don't know how else to put it but they simply don't care. The folks in electronics know their stuff, but the rest of the folks don't care. The nearest Walmart located in Wasco is completely different than this one located in Delano. That review is next! Regardless, I know a lot of fellow Delanoans that we're ecstatic to hear that we were going to get a Walmart. When it first opened up service was great. But with time it has slowly started to go down the drain. With that being said, this place is always super busy. Like busy 24/7, so I'm sure Walmart is thriving when it comes to business. Just wish they would take a page out of the Wasco Walmart book when it comes to service... read more

I ordered online & was supposed to be delivered on 4/27, I get a notification ON 4/27 saying it was moved to 5/3 wtf is that. I call to cancel so I can go pick it up myself and no one knows how to answer the phone. Ridiculous read more

*** Pit stop review (Daleno) *** This particular Walmart is in the small agricultural town of Daleno. I've passed by this location many times before and after it was built. Surprisingly this location is a lot more packed with customers than I thought it would be. It is a pretty good location to pull over to stretch your legs right off of the 99 freeway. It's a good opportunity to do a little shopping while taking a break. Here's what I liked... * People are pretty friendly inside and outside the store. There's certainly something about small town living that causes people to be more down-to-earth. * It's a Super Walmart, so there's everything under one roof. * This facility is newly built. Everything around this plaza is new and clean! * I love that the Walmart uses solar panels in their parking lot! Sustainable living and the promotion of renewable energy is the way to go! Here's what I didn't like... * I was looking to exchange something, but not all Walmarts sell the same product :-( Shopping area = clean and organized Service = friendly for a Walmart Restroom = ok read more

I love that we have a Walmart in Delano now. It's pretty big and they keep it clean. Employees are friendly.. they need to open up more registers though. read more

I use to work at Walmart and if my stuff is in my bag I know I don't have to show my receipt. This isn't Costco or Sams club, I don't appreciate your old lady "security" accusing me of stealing when I don't show my receipt. Also FYI you do not have to show the "greeters" your receipt. read more

Some things never change. This place is still a dump and the employees are horrible. It was my daughters birthday so I took her to get a LOL doll that she wanted. For some reason these things are locked up behind glass like some sort of assault weapon. I asked the guy for a doll and he claimed he didn't have a key, he went to find the manager. 5..10..15 minutes went by and nobody showed up. I found the same guy and asked about the key and he claimed he "forgot". The guy has one job to do and can't seem to do it. Finally after 40 mins, some "manager" comes and unlocked the case so my daughter can pick out a doll. Afterwards he slams it shut and walks off like it was an inconvenience for him to do his job and sell a toy. This whole store is a dump and like I said the employees are the issue. read more

This is as good as a Walmart gets. Five stars for the staff! The older lady with the color in her hair is especially kind. They never are out of what I need and the place is pretty clean even a couple years after opening. Also, the delivery service saved my butt during the pandemic! read more

This Walmart locks everything up. You cannot even get printing ink without asking an associate. Cosmetics also have to be paid in the particular department. Why can't you bring your items to the main registers. They expect you to pay all of your items in one little register. read more

This Walmart is okay but if you want help from an associate they would take forever to come and help you even though it is a small issue that you need help with and sometimes they would pretend not to notice you sometimes and some of them have moody attitudes. Delano finally got a Walmart but they never have enough registers open I always see employee's walking around but they don't bother opening at least ONE register when they see lines of more than 15 people long. I'm glad they have grocery pick up but you have to order a day ahead read more

There is an older Caucasian female door greeter that's always rude to people. Every time me and my wife go here we notice her telling on some poor soul. They pay her to greet people NOT to play security. What a shame !!! Smh Walmart MANAGER should be aware of this or call the main corporation if this continues. read more

Not 24 Hours anymore. I haven't had any issues with this location other being caged in at certain times when they're restocking you have to walk a maze just to get to the other side. I would hope they would be more cautious but hey, it's Walmart. Prices are still very inexpensive and although there is only 1 cashier at any given time, they do have self check out. It's my first go to place because it's convenient and low priced before going to other stores. read more

Well, you know Walmart always find what you need at the lowest prices. I know it could be loud and messy sometimes but overall you can't go wrong with Walmart. I love Delano Walmart the employees are friendly I know exactly what it is I'm looking for and where it's located. It has everything I need perfect for last-minute shopping. read more

Oh man what to say...I pulled up in the parking lot and there were so many carts all over. I grabbed one to move it out of the parking space I'm pulling in to. I see the cart wrangler, "good". I'll get back to that later. I walk in and go directly to the paint department. I usually find the first worker I see and immediately ask for assistance with the paint, usually this works pretty quick, 7 times out of 10 it's met with attitude. Anyhow, I see a worker and ask to get the spray paint case opened up, "let me find someone with keys". So I wait, I see another worker peaking on me around the corner and turns back. Then both workers walk by and nothing. I continue to wait. 15 minutes later I abandon all hope and leave with what I have. As I'm walking out, low and behold, the carts that were all around my parking spot are still there. Ugh, the same area I saw the cart wrangler in before walking in. He must have had another cart emergency he had to report to. Seems to be a Walmart thing though, but home takes the cake my friends. read more

Worst customer service I have EVER experienced!!!! As a former manager in customer service is this a Disgrace to society! You don't have 1 register open! When I asked a cashier if she could open a register since I had 2 carts and my newborn with me! I was told "no doesn't look like we have a register open but you can use the self check out." They didn't try to please the customer at all!!! Then I return the next day to get a few items one including a bottle of fireball. I wait for assistant tell multiple employees that I need approval they take 5minutes to come over to tell me I need to go to the register that says closed to buy my alcohol which is where I asked the cashier the day before if someone could ring me up! So they have the ability to help people but they go out of their way not to! It's sad to see elder people struggling to check out by them selves and upset because no one will help them! I am in my twenties and find this ridiculous!!! You should at least have one register open as a choice! I wish I could give negative stars! read more

I was there at 5:30PM for the Thanksgiving Day sale. I found it very entertaining and comical to see the vast majority of customers help themselves to the items that were taped off and monitored by Walmart staff to be sold at 6PM long before the 6PM sale time. I didn't buy anything. I figured I'd go walk off some of the turkey I had for lunch. Too funny. read more

No one wants to willingly visit a Walmart location but when you live in the middle of nowhere and it opens its doors and shuts down local businesses it becomes a sad necessity. This location is usually crowded and despite there being many lanes there are only 4 to 5 cashiers slowly at work. The self checkout lane usually has a long line too. Prepare for parking wars as obese people struggle to park as close as possible to the front in order to avoid taking an extra 10 steps. read more

I was waiting by the fishes asking if we can get a goldfish and they announced one of their workers to attended but they didn't come. Really disappointing they don't respect us to buy fish. Inventory in sporting goods is great! But, I have a feeling it's due to lack of service...
