Thank goodness there's a target here! Has everything you need. Pricey, as all Targets are, but has what you need.

Target is my go-to for all of a lot of my household purchases. Every time I have been in, the store is clean and most of the employees are very friendly. Not a bunch of screaming kids like the other big store across the street. I was surprised last time when I supplied my own bags at checkout the checker scanned all of my items but I had to bag my own things. I'm not sure if that is the norm or if just the way she did things but that's something to be aware of because not everyone wants to bag their own items or can bag their own items. I will say that since their last major remodel I don't think they carry as many items or they may carry more brands but less of each item within that brand. The first time I noticed this was in the hair color aisle, they had several brands but the one I was looking at was missing the entire blonde selections. That was something they carried before the remodel. I will take that with a grain of salt though because there are supply issues still happening but I would think that they would have something after all this time. I highly suggest that everyone download the Target app because if you do want to take the time to add offers you can save quite a bit of money. I wish they would work like some supermarket royalty cards where each week the discounts were just loaded in automatically and if you bought that product you would get the cash back Instead of having to choose the offer and add it to your barcode before you buy. Sometimes scanning the barcodes of every item before you put them in the cart is just taking too much time and if you haven't planned ahead you may not have all of the discounts available loaded onto your app already but again if you can take a few minutes to load the offers in before or during your shopping it really adds up. Curbside pick up is also a plus and it seems to be very popular. Sometimes I think the people out there working are working harder than most of the inside employees. Maybe it just seems that way because I feel sorry for them being out there in this heat but they have always been very pleasant and efficient to work with and I do appreciate that they have this service available. I did rate four stars because of the availability of some of the things in the store not being what they should be and I have had a couple of times where produce such as the bagged salads weren't the freshest, but this will continue to be my favorite store of this type. read more

This Target is the worst ! Now the card reader at this location is not working for my card but Walmart has good readers and no problem with lower prices.. come on Target your self serve is NEVER clean but now not even working well. The stockers are the best thing about this place and the Starbucks at this location had an employee wipe the counter and then my starbucks cup and lid after but the trainer only just swapped out lid and gave it to me as if that was sanitary so I threw it away.. why is this location run so much worse than Tulare and Visalia? Stockers get a five but self serve and starbucks need to visit the others and see what its suppose to be like. read more

Target used to be awesome and now they have closed or more accurately never open any of the registers except maybe 2. So they expect you to go to self checkout instead. I DO NOT WORK HERE! Therefore I'm not checking anything myself. They need to hire more people, open more registers and for the love of God STOP BEIMG WALMART! read more

This location needs to change its pharmacy line location. Today I was waiting in line and two different employees shoved in front of my shipping cart 3 times. They made me move it too. Very rude staff and if they have to stock when there is a long line and push customers around they need to move the line instead. Also waited 20 minutes in line. Very poor customer service from staff here especially Raquel who is clearly lacking in manners and customer service skills. read more

Definitely dedicated to controlling Covid -- they have a staff person whose job it is to sanitize all carts before customers use them. That is fantastic. Employees seem cheerful and eager to help; I asked where I could find an item and the employee walked me there instead of just saying "oh, it's back thataway" or "um, I dunno." Great customer service, reasonable prices, and the only thing I would note is that they don't have any Black santas or ornaments. That is an issue for corporate, I guess. Check your pick up and carry out orders carefully or you may end up with a botulism buffet. Had to return canned food today because it had many large dents in it. Customer service was horrible about it. If they are going to pass off damaged can goods in pick up orders I won't be shipping here anymore. Totally horrified. read more

As a shopper it is a different experience. There are issues with card readers and deals posted. Card readers are not reading at times. But that is to be expected. Technology is not perfect. The deals posted are not as they are online. But that is why the team assists each other. Technology alone will not cut it. People alone won't always get it done. Together. This team gets it done. I love how clean the store is kept. The temperature is always nice inside. Pizza Hut is great. Starbucks is always perfect to my liking. Never let down there. I love this place. Cartwheel saves so much money. Coupons, daily deals, and discounts for customers. Quality products. Awesome place. read more

I never even shopped at this store and I've lived here 30 years but I'm a toy collector and I travel all over the US for work and the employee Who works Toys in the mornings Edgar is what I consider a star employee because he keeps me coming back and now I'm not just buying toys but I shop there every week for all my other stuff because I know he's gonna make my life easy. I had an amazing customer service experience here on August 10, 2016. I headed in rather stressed as I was pressed for time. I had several items I needed but don't usually buy so had no idea where to find them, plus this wasn't my usual Target store. Efrain was busy re-stalking shelves in a different department but took time out to answer my questions and helped me find everything( and there was a lot) on my list. He even walked me to the correct isle when I was lost and helped me to find my final item. He was truly my hero that day. Thank you, Efrain. (I hope I remembered the spelling correctly) The cashier was very nice also, though I failed to get her name. (early 20's, petite, long, dark hair) This store is clean, organized and staffed with helpful, friendly people ready to make your shopping experience great. read more

Darlene from customer service went out of her way to help me find a cartwheels deals she was so he LP full because I had talked to several employees and Darlene got on the phone she got me answers. We need more customers services like Darlene, I mattered to her. read more

They are currently remodeling, but I can't fault them for that. They are putting in the fresh produce section that's in other Targets. The store always seems clean and the people are helpful for the most part. Management seems to be on top of things. Heck, anything is better than walmart. :) read more

Every time i shop at this store their system will not accept my checks because their system and union bank for some reason do not jive it is baffling and a inconvenience i use to enjoy shopping there but since i do not use a debit card and choose to use checks I will take my business elsewhere thank you for saving me money target i know you will not miss my business read more

This is a newer store, it was rebuilt from the ground up a few years back. The store is very clean and organized it has good staff and you can find just about everything you want. On the weekends I'll rather come here then Walmart. This location also has a Starbucks inside with seating area. read more

I went in there Friday night to use their bathroom absolutely disgusting I've never seen it look so filthy. You can almost count on Walmart bathroom looking like that but targets used to be so clean they really let it go. They really need to Take care of this issue read more

Aleena, Porterville is almost the same size as Tulare when it comes to City Population. So yes, I do expect a larger Target. Tulare is a small town too, just like Porterville. read more

My favorite place to coupon & shop! Always have great customer service. This is my number one place to shop in town. I love target!!!

We go here 2 to 3 times a week. .. a break away from the more popular and sometimes cheaper competitor. Less people great clothes and more organized. Love the new Cartwheel app. . If your not using it you missing out. We even eat at the food counter and get Pizza Hut sometimes. Great workers. read more

The bathroom in this target was a mess! It was very unsanitary. The other parts of the store was decently clean. The store stemmed to be organized and the staff was friendly. I would rather go to tulare target then this one. read more

The Target Mobile inside this Target is great. Much better then the actual ATT store. The manager helped us out and he went above and beyond. Not only did he sell us a great phone but he took the time to show us how to use it. He also transferred the info from our old phone to the new one. I recommend everyone do their phone shopping here. They carry ATT, Verizon, and Sprint. A+!!! read more

I am glad they offer Organic food. Trying to eat healthier is just hard. Especially if all you see is junk food. It's always clean and priced well. Definately a plus to not have to shop at the larger stores for products. Just keeps getting better. read more

Everything you need in a Department store. Grocery area. Lots of walking involved if needed an electric cart.

Clean store the produce is way better than walmart. They know how to find things in the store. Good customer service. Good products sold.

One of my favorite Targets, although the women's clothing area is lacking.

Don't plan on getting your prescription anytime soon. If the doctor calls it in, it won't be ready until the next day after 2:00 p.m. If you bring in your prescription, same thing. Seriously, if they are that behind on filling prescriptions, hire more people!!!! Went to Walgreens instead. read more

Hadn't been to Target in some time when I decided to stroll in the other evening. The smell of popcorn quickly caught my attention and soon the whole store seemed really really nice and CLEAN. Im a creature of habit and continually seem to blindly steer myself to WALMART for items i may need and it is beginning to take its toll because walmart vs target is a 1 rounder for me. Target quickly assumed the lead as i realized what i had been doing to myself each time i went to walmart. Filthy and impersonal is all i can say about walmart and the total oppisite about Target.
