Pretty sad to see the store this messy, I remember this store used to be my go to for purchasing gifts. I don't know if it's the clientele leaving the mess or the staff that doesn't care about their store. Maybe a bit of both. The tall older white lady saw the mess and walked up to it then walked away. Went in and received nothing but bad customer service. My husband had asked an employee (manager) there if he was putting out all of those purses from a bin he said yes so my husband proceeded to grab it from the bin for us to purchase. He rudely pulled the bin away from my husband making it seem like my husband was trying to steal it and in no way was that the case. We went around shopping for other things to give him time to put them out. Well after a few minutes of shopping we came back and he had the audacity to put all purses out except the ones we were specifically waiting for back in the bin and took them to the back. Im not sure if he was going to buy them for himself or what the case was but from what I know working in retail myself we were not allowed to hold items at all, they had to go on the floor until given the chance during breaks or lunch to buy themselves. Will never be coming back again the way he treated us was very very rude & racist sadly I wasn't able to get his name since name tag was hidden but im pretty sure he was the manager wearing glasses. Pretty sure that i've hit the end of summer beginning of fall transition period. Nothing stood out as a must-have. Taking this opportunity, though, to commend the cashiers who, no matter how long the line is, whip us through checkout in record time. Appreciated! read more

TJ Maxx has always been a good place to shop at with my family. However, today was a different story. My mother wanted an item from the locked box and had asked a rude & racist older lady worker that wore glasses for help. The lady said she is working with a costumer right now so my mom waited, but yet has the attitude of us rushing her and kept saying slow down when we were not doing anything. My family went on shopping while I waited for the lady to come back from the front because for some reason she could not wait to go to the front and locking the items in one of these beeping boxes as if we were going to steal them. When the lady got back, she starts complaining about my family to ME. The audacity to speak ill of my OWN family to me has gotten me fared up. We try to complain to the front but we did not have a name and workers just change shifts. I could not believe the service given to my family vs the lady she was helping before. If I see her again, I will be reporting her. Another thing to note the other lady that also got items from the locked box did not have her items boxed up, only ours did. very disappointed. read more

I needed a new luggage for my upcoming trip oversees and before jumping on the Amazon app I decided to give it a try at the TJ Maxx. When I needed help with the item, the staff was nowhere to be found. I found somebody that looked like they were working there and when I asked them a question she rudely lashed out that she works in a different department. I felt super embarrassed and I'm not going back there. With my prime membership I'll be better off with the Amazon deals. TJ Maxx lost me as a customer. read more

This TJ Maxx is pretty much on par with TJ Maxx stores I've visited in Beverly Hills areas, San Francisco, and any other high falootin' place. Color me surprised. When I walked in and found Vince, Kate Spade, Michael Kors (no, not Michael by Michael Kors), Marc Jacobs, and several other high end designer lines at TJ MAXX in VISALIA, well, let's just say that I forgot I was in the Central Valley for a minute. I'm not sure if all of these designer items are in-house because this location is brand spankin' new, but if you're into designer goods at half-price off, you really should some here. A previous reviewer said: 1. It's small---I say, this TJ Maxx is roughly the same size as any other TJ Maxx. It's not a warehouse size like Target or Hobby Lobby, but it's not "small". 2. It tends to get crowded easily--I say, of course it's going to get crowded easily. It's TJ Maxx! The best time to go to these types of stores is right when they open to beat the crowd. 3. Their prices are a bit high on some things--I say, it depends on your operational definition of high. If you don't know the ACTUAL price of these items, then yeah. You're going to think these prices are high. If you usually buy your items at, say, Target or Wal-Mart, then yup! Some of these prices might be "high" for you. But if you're like me, and you know that high quality Vince items sell from $200 at Nordstrom, and you see a $39.99 Vince cashmere sweater on the racks, then....yeah. That's a good deal. 4. Nothing like coming out of the changing room to some lady yelling at me like I was trying to steal something. No one was at the area when I went in to try things on and the doors were wide open. I had no idea I needed a 'number' but she proceeded to berate me because she had 'been there the whole time.' What excellent customer service... First time shopping here, definitely the last time. read more

Wanted to buy doggy treats, same bags same exact item two different prices, I asked the cashier, why the different prices? Cashier made a face of disgust and very rudely called the manager, The manager told me she can't do anything about the different prices, the company of the doggy treats sets the price. I said what, the price tags say Tj maxx.. She told me only for today she will fix the price? REALLY?! The cashier was obnoxiously taking his time trying to fix the price" I told him if that was really necessary, and he told me that I was being difficult! I was shocked and i couldn't believe my ears. (Are you kidding me!!) Not going back ever again, and people be aware of the price tag game (price gouging) same exact items with different price tags. read more
