In 2004 Dec, I received a Gift Card for $150.00. I used it but I had to return some items, twice. Both times I returned items the young male worker told me that I did NOT need a plastic-gift-card. I just had to show the return-receipts and that would pay for my future purchases. When at HomeGoods I tried to use the receipt-return balance & I was not allowed. They stated I needed a plastic-gift card with the amounts. I talked to the manager and she gave me a phone number & my daughter called to connect to them but it was a recycle of recorded messages. I have repeatedly emailed to the HG headquarters. They requested copies of the receipts and I sent them all the receipts. They continue to contact me over and over stating that they do not understand my issues. Home Goods doesn't train their young male workers to give amounts returned on a plastic gift card...as the returned purchases were from a gift card. I am not usually one to complain but was just at a loss after our visit today. Took mom for the first time. She had been looking forward to it all week. Such a total disappointment. The clutter and just disarray of the entire store was very overwhelming for both of us. She was able to find a spatula she liked and a new skillet but not sure I will ever return to this location again. Wish I had read the other reviews warning about this. read more

I like home goods. There's a lot of great finds for a good price. However I suggest going during the week, the weekend can get pretty crazy and crowded. There's a long line and isles itself are pretty busy. So major suggestion, try during the week! Other than that, there's a variety of items offered so whatever you may be on the look out for you'll most likely find. The staff and service from this location has always been friendly. However, the parking is a little intense. I've almost got hit twice coming out of the store...so be careful. read more

I stopped by the local HomeGoods store today for a couple of items that I needed to replace. I haven't been in this store for several months because it had been closed due to COVID-19. Pre-COVID visits were a challenge because the store was always messy, unorganized, overcrowded and filled with items that should have been written off and thrown away. I love the HomeGoods, and have been to many of these stores throughout Southern California. I had never seen a disaster like this Visalia store. Today's visit was quite the opposite. The store was organized by category, and shelves were adequately stocked with quality items. Perhaps, this is a result of the shut-downs, but I like it. I hope that this is what to expect going forward. The employees were all wearing masks, the floors are clearly marked for social distancing and aisles are marked for one-way traffic. Still a 3 star rating. I don't know if today's visit is indicative of how the store will continue to operate, and I hope to raise the stars in the future. read more

I normally love it here, but a cashier today really screwed up my checkout experience. Not sure if she was new, I've worked retail for years and what I needed wasn't difficult. I had two returns and a purchase. I told her I wanted to do the two returns and then put that total towards my purchase. She tried checking me out for the returns without doing my purchase twice. I had to remind her twice. She then started scanning the items I was going to purchase and tried to check me out for that, but then I noticed that she failed to add my credits, so we had to start over again. All of the mistakes she made. She never once realized I had to point them out every time and if I hadn't have worked retail before I wouldn't have been able to catch her mistakes. At that point, she had put stuff all over the place, and there were so many receipts from 4 cancelled transactions that it was clear she had no idea what she was doing. She was pressing the wrong buttons and forgetting to do things and it was chaotic. as I was walking out I looked at my final receipt and realized that one of the credits weren't added, and one of the items I was purchasing, wasn't paid for and wasn't on the receipt. I walked back to pay for it. If I hadn't have looked at the receipt. I would've accidentally stolen it. We called a manager over because I wanted to make sure that I wasn't overpaying and I was getting my purchase done in one transaction. She started to fill the manager in on what was going on and was leaving out details and lying in front of me saying "I didn't tell her I had a return" to the manager about the mistakes she made. I corrected her and she acted like I was wrong and had an attitude in front of her manager. Never once apologized, I could've done her job with my eyes closed. At that point, she didn't know what was a return and what was a purchase, and I was basically having to tell her what to do. The manager was able to fix it quick because again, it wasn't hard. It took me about 20 minutes to check out and I had about seven transactions instead of one. I was 25 minutes late Going back to work. With a busy holiday season and long lines and the rush of things, this employee failed at her job and didn't seem to care. read more

Love home goods. Probably a little too much at times. I like the selection and the prices. I get to try gourmet food items at a discount. Thrilled that they had a bunch of raw and Maluka honeys a month ago. If you go in check the clearance aisles. Sometimes things get put there pretty quick. Can't write a review without mentioning candles. Omg the candles. Very unusual ones. My collection has grown by quite a lot since I've discovered home goods. read more

The cashiers harass you to where they hope you get their credit card I said no then no I don't like store credit cards he still continue to keep going even saying they usually just give in and apply I said that's gonna get me to get a credit card from you I told him at least 5 times that's 4 times to many I should of said just keep your crap. Love this store but the cashier ruined my experience. It was as if I were bothering her when she rang me up because I had a mirror up front that was on hold... she was upset when I told her and she had to walk over and get it.... the lady that allowed me to set it up front was so nice about it but after getting what I needed the cashier made me feel like I should've just kept the giant mirror in my shopping cart.... she was not in a good mood and was very unfriendly.... this ruined my experience. read more

Love HomeGoods as a whole, this review is solely in regards to the lack of customer service at this location. I arrived 40 minutes prior to closing and rather than being greeted and welcomed to the store I was stopped at the front door and was told they were closing soon. I mentioned to the employee that I was in a rush and needed to go to only one section and he stated with a horrible attitude "well we're still closing soon". I've worked retail for years, but giving customers heat for arriving 40 whole minutes before closing?! That's very unprofessional. read more

My husband and I went to Homegoods in Visalia on 2/12/22. We were treated with such disrespect by other customers while waiting for the store to open. My husband was the first person at the door. Then all of these other people starting lining up after him. They began to get confrontational with him. I got out of our car to join him. When the store opened we were told by the store employee that we were not there first and that we just got there. While she is telling us this she is swirling an umbrella to keep anyone from entering the store until my husband and I go to the very back of the line. When I asked to speak with the manager she got more agitating when he got there. We tried again to explain that we were in line first. Instead of both the employee and manager listening to what was going on, we were called liars and they let the other customers who were causing all of this into the store first. i did the employee and managers name to make a complaint to corporate especially being that the employee always opens the door with an umbrella in her has as a weapon from letting customers into the store which is illegal since there is no reason to come at customers with it in her hand when nothing is provoking her or having cause to use it in that manner. read more

Some of the staff is nice, however the Managers are awful, they are RUDE!!! I understand its annoying when everyone is out looking RAE DUNN but they act like its an inconvenience for them when we are there shopping. We are paying customers, there is no need for the attitude. read more

I bought a large furniture piece in Clovis yesterday and I forgot to use my 10% off. Well I decided to go to my local HomeGoods for a price adjustment. The manager said he will do it but it depends if the transaction shows up because it was bought in Clovis. Well he couldn't bring the transaction up so he called the "front supervisor" for help. He was also unable to bring it up and told me I will have to go to Clovis. So my question was, "so you are unable to return items bought at other Homegoods?". So then the little supervisor twerp changed his tune and said he can't do it because he needs the item there (he never stated this before). It's a huge furniture piece but apparently he needs to see it now. Made up something about inspecting it. So I left very upset. I called the Clovis HomeGoods and the manager there stated that she would gladly do a price adjustment with just the tag and receipt and that it just needed to be entered manually in Visalia, they just didn't know how to do it. So my problem is that they were gladly going to do it before and when they didn't know how, then they made up this thing on needing to see the item. It's a new store, I expected better customer service than this!! I will still call corporate and complain because the skinny little twerp was just rude on top of it all!! read more
