Heard they were good gave them a try because was cheapest. Boy, did I learn!!. Their communication is horrible. Don't give them your money, their work is not professional. Their staff are not experts, had to call them multiple times to fix their errors and then they have the audacity to get hostile. My cabinets are not even. My caulking is a mess, probably use cheap material. The team that installed the countertops were rude and didn't care for my feedback. The team is careless, breaking and chipping material. The owner was never apologetic and loves to avoid real issues. Don't pay them until the work is done the way it should. I can go on and on but you get the point. read more

When we decided to get rid of the infamous white tile in the kitchen, we sourced our own granite as well as getting quotes from granite companies and the big box stores, both blue and orange. Varo came out to measure and provided a quote on the spot. He checked with our granite source and got us a better price, as well as a discount on the backsplash. When the decision was made to go with KHL, they scheduled us for the next week. One thing that impressed me was the crew wasn't a we do everything mentality. One crew came to demo the counters, then the plumber came out, the granite installers and finally the backsplash/tile specialist. First of all, let me start by saying this was not my first experience with a remodel or contractors. To say I am "gun shy" from my past experience with another company is an understatement. When I first went in to KHL I was greeted by Arsen who tends to talk a bit fast and so I just explained I wanted to browse. He gave me a tour of the place and told me to take my time and he was happy to answer any questions. There's actually several rooms of material there and also an additional granite yard across town. I was indecisive and he showed me some of their newest cabinetry. (I loved the antique white) I had looked at the offerings and prices at the big box stores and saw they didn't favorably compare to what was shown to me at KHL. I was impressed with the quality all wood and dovetail joints on cabinets and soft close drawers that Arsen was offering. I made my needs known and gave him a realistic, but limited budget and he also guided me with suggestions of his own, which was very helpful! Arsen actually has a good eye for complimentary materials and I decided on a prefab granite to keep costs down and a beautiful natural stone backsplash which looks beautiful together. He came to the house and measured a day later and Jacquie coordinated all the times and schedules for specific workers. Arsen even had his plumber/electrician come on Thanksgiving morning to connect stove and faucet so I could cook for a family gathering (held elsewhere of course.) Communication and scheduling was handled by Jacquie as she deftly coordinated times while answering questions and any concerns. I might add that even though all the guys are very professional and super nice, there can be a little language barrier. At one point we had a mystery water leak that came from me using my old faucet and I was upset and freaking out a bit. Arsen called me within minutes and the plumber was there in 30!! Never have I felt so taken care of!! One of the main things I want to address is that Arsen is a man of his word! My past experience really had me afraid to hire contractors for false promises, not showing up for weeks etc. (There's even a commercial for a credit card on TV that makes light of an infuriating contractor talking about removing a weight bearing wall! I shudder at the thought) Arsen restored my faith in the industry. From the time of demo to total completion took less than three weeks as promised!! The workmanship was stellar! When we left the hearing Arsen was very apologetic and asked me personally to remove my post. Then when the review decision came back ruling in our favor he disputed it. Waste of money, waste of time. Rude people and very dictatorial to their own needs and wants. If you deal with these devils make sure you count every single tile,knob,granite pieces (they had me buy another slab saying it wasn't enough to make separate slabs evenly and needed another slab to make it the right way or have it seamed together all unevenly. Arson pretends to be nice and rips you a good one after the fact and turn your words against you forcing you to accept the inevitable truth that you had to deal with these scandalous bunch. If these bunch are the cheapest around then your getting what you paid for, rude workers (I blame Arson for that, I've seen him yell at his workers at KHL when I was looking for things to add), scandalous boss (I paid somethings under the table which fortified the fact I mostly over paid for materials). The seams to the granite looked horrible in my opinion, it's really noticeable and it protrudes outward. If you do it I suggest getting single slabs that fit. Don't play nice with the workers they don't care and I suggest you should get your money's worth and tell them How you want it and don't back down. I also suggest never to hand over money for the labor until your completely satisfied with their work, Arson will hound you every chance he gets and like a wannabe mob man he'll make it seem like you owe him even though the job isn't even done. Having to listen to this man wants me to tear my ears off with his inconsistencies you really should just look elsewhere. read more

Recently gave my kitchen a makeover. Made some minor layout changes and had new cabinets and granite slab counter tops installed. Worked with the owner (Amman?) and he was great. He had some great ideas about how to get the most out of my space and made useful suggestions about what materials worked together, etc. I didn't feel like he was just out to make money; some of his recommendations were for less expensive items than what I'd selected. His employees were great when they were at the house. They covered the carpet and cleaned up when they left. They even let my cats out of the room they were locked up in before they left when I wasn't around. Plus, they did great work. I got a great price on the kitchen and it's beautiful (it was considerably less then other quotes). It was finished in the amount of time he'd projected. Okay, so I survived my own kitchen remodel. The owner Arsen at KHL did an amazing job with our remodel, making great design suggestions that I wouldn't have thought possible. I had a useless big window which faces our side fence. I wanted to take out the window and cover it with cabinets. Arsen assured me that it wasn't necessary to take out the window, especially since I live in a gated community. He covered the window with drywall on the inside, problem solved. He was very helpful in guiding our choices in the cabinets and hardware; he came up with a solution to a backsplash design where the material I wanted didn't come in a square but in a subway tile. He also suggested the addition of counter space made possible by moving our fridge about 10 inches. HIs crew of installers/craftsmen are very polite, conscientious and tidy. Sure, you're going to have dust as this is a construction project, but they make sure to clean up all of their construction debris at the end of the day. His office manager Jacqui is great in communicating the schedule and troubleshooting when necessary. All in all, our full kitchen remodel took about 13 days of actual labor. There is a time lag if you get granite installed as they must make a template, then fabricate the counters to fit. No complaints in that department as my friends couldn't even get a quote in that amount of time from Lowe's. So if you're considering a kitchen remodel, Arsen will take pride in the work that he and his crew will do for you. read more
