My initial needs were to get oil change & a couple of stationary items. I didn't t have an appointment for oil change but their staff were helpful to let me know if they could take me since they had a couple of appointments coming up in half an hour. A lady came in a few minutes said they would take care of my car. While waiting for the service, I cruised around to see if I could find my needs. Surprise to see this Supercenter was so clean and neat. With the store app, I was about to locate my needs. Lucky me! Then everything in the shop were so pleasant to look at. I had a really disappointing experience with an employee named Lewis at the hot food counter. When I walked up, I was the only person in line, yet he was already visibly frustrated and I could hear him cursing under his breath before even acknowledging me. When he finally came over, he greeted me with an annoyed "what do you want," which immediately set a negative tone. I ordered barbecue chicken, mac & cheese, and potato wedges, and he rushed through the entire process like he didn't want to be there. On top of that, the portions he gave were noticeably small compared to what you'd normally expect. Overall, the attitude was unprofessional and the service felt rushed and disrespectful. I frequent this Walmart. They have made several upgrades to this store. Certainly a lot more self checkouts - enough that you don't have to wait. They carry less options to choose from. If you are looking for dog biscuits for example, I had a choice between well regular biscuits. The grocery store carries more of a selection than Walmart...I didn't think I would ever have to say that. My experience this morning was the employees who are shopping for delivery or curbside were so obtrusive. They did not care if they were blocking the aisle. Not once did they say excuse me. I went to Walmart at 7 AM so it was not busy so these shoppers whole be cognizant of those that have come to the store to shop. I posted a few pictures in my frustration. We needed help from the supervisor tonight on 02/27/25 around 615pm. An associate said we needed the supervisor and said he talked to the supervisor and they were in the back and would be there to help us in a few minutes. About 30 minutes of standing at the front the supervisor never came and we asked the associate what was going on and he said "sorry the supervisor is too busy to help you" Whoever the "Supervisor" is needs to be demoted to the greeter and stop blowing off customers. Filling out my shop with a few things that that don't have at the other supermarket, I had a reasonable shop today. The store is crowded, considering the COVID precautions. A number of people were not wearing masks and there is no enforcement by the greeter who is only counting customers. Clothing, soft lines, home goods are all well stocked. A few low stock items in the grocery section and they did not have any of the cat litter that we prefer. Win some, lose some. Checkout was surprisingly good with enough registers open and no waiting. I took my car in for a simple oil change before a long drive - NC to CO. When I got to my destination I noticed a slight oil drip from under the car - where it never had a leak previously. After inspection I found the source of the leak was from around the oil pan bolt. It "looks" as if the oil pan bolt was tightened to the point that either the pan was cracked or threads stripped. And it also "looks" like some sealant was put on it to hide the damage. I called to see if they could offer some assistance with my local Walmart here in Highlands Ranch, CO. and even though the manger was was very nice about it, his solution was for me to bring the car back, to Concord, NC. Although it is a fairly simple repair, because of their poor performance, which could have killed my motor, I now have to spend more money and time to replace the pan and the oil. read more

Three stars because they have recently renovated the store and it looks great! Looks better for sure and I see they've gotten lots of new things in, including new brands of clothing, without upping prices that much which is great!! They also got their cheap graphic tees back finally!!!! This makes me happy!!! Can't go over three stars though because it seems like every-time I go to this Walmart, the bathrooms are disgusting and terribly unkept. Not just that, but it also sometimes seems as if self-checkout lines are the only option as they do not have people working cash registers, maybe they have 2 or so at a time, but for how big this place is, there should be many more lines opened. Self checkout lines are great for a quick stop there where you're only grabbing a handful of things. When I am full-on grocery shopping, I don't want to be doing that myself if there are workers and staff there that can do it, since that's the way things used to be. read more

I'm not a big fan of shopping, so I use Walmart online ordering and pick up service; I have even used the service where they deliver groceries to your house and if it's over $35 delivery is free but they like you to tip the driver's. With Walmarts online ordering process if there's an item you ordered and it's not in stock they contact you and ask for your permission to substitute that item with another one similar with equal value or more, so it's a win-win situation. I with my online ordering I met two beautiful women cool very sweet, and friendly win they shop for customers and package the items in the car; The lady that brought my package to me was Shiloh and she's the sweetest person you ever wanna meet, she takes pride in shopping for customers and when she put your groceries in the car she will even take the time to repackage an item that may be broken or damaged in transit (ie; eggs, bread, butter). I wish there was a way to request the shopper we want to shop for us because I know Shylo or Mrs Kay would shop for me the same way I would shop for myself. read more

If there is one thing I must say about Walmart is they are a consistent shopping experience. Which is a nice way of saying, if you shopped at one Walmart... You have shopped at them all. There has yet to be a Walmart that wows me. The lines are usually so long and the merchandise is the same in every single store. Having said that, this Walmart now has self checkout lines. Which is pretty progressive step forward for them. This is the fastest I have ever gotten in and out of any Walmart and I do appreciate that. All in all, it simply is what it is... Walmart doesn't care much about customer service. Don't kid yourself. Have an issue with service, and you will see. The only reason I am giving this a 1 star, there was at least one person concerned with what I was needing or else I would have given 0 if I could. I stood at the formula section for 45 minutes. Pushed the stupid button about a hundred times and NOBODY came to get me the formula I needed for my baby. Only one person asked if I needed help, said she would go get someone that had keys. I stood there another 20 minutes waiting... with a Screaming baby. And of course NOBODY came. Multiple workers kept walking past me and just looked at me, nobody asked me if I needed help. You really need to do away with having to get an associate to get the formula. It is not efficient at all. The Walmart in Locust, still had it in shelves. Get back on their level. read more

My review is about the pharmacy in particular. I had to change pharmacies because of multiple issues. The first time I was out of town and called to inform them due to my meds on backorder. She told me they would be waiting for me the next Monday. When I showed up the girl told me they didn't have it, then it changed to they had it but returned it because I didn't pick it up even though I was told it would be held, then it became that I picked up the medicine already and they would need to look at the cameras to make sure I didn't already pick it up. After that I went to the Walmart manager who seemed I bothered because they called me while speaking to her and said they found it in the fridge where it was the whole time. The manager was then like great so problem solved. No ma'am the problem is not solved because they just accused me of lying about picking up medicine that they had and overlooked. To make matters worse the lady said she thought to look in the fridge because she remembered seeing my name and birthdate a couple days before when she placed it there. Then when I had to get a refill the next time the people told me my doctor, who I spoke with about it, cancelled my prescription and they sent the medicine back. I told the lady on the phone that no my doctor did not cancel it why would she put me on medicine and then cancel it. After the first issue with them I told her I was done and would be switching pharmacies and she just kept telling me that I should speak to my doctor because it wasn't their fault but my doctors because she cancelled it. Like yeah I guess it wasn't your fault when the first fiasco happened either and it was sitting in your fridge. My advice is do not ever use this pharmacy they do not take any accountability when they mess up and will try and gaslight you into thinking it's your fault. read more

Drove 25 minutes to this Walmart because they're the only Walmart that carry the flavor of Gatorade that I like (cucumber lemon, not sorry about it). Arrived at 10:46 for a SINGLE Gatorade and was met by two women hollering at the door and someone in the parking lot telling us "they lock the doors at 10:45." I understand this time of year it's very busy in a place such as Wal-mart, but what I don't understand or appreciate is when the associates working can't answer questions, don't try to look for a solution to help you, or continue what they are doing as if you aren't standing there. I was in the fabric department and needed a piece of fabric, but obviously it needed to be cut by an associate. So at first I waited 5-10 minutes hoping an associate would soon come to help. With no luck of anyone coming I sent my son to electronics to seek help. Well I heard over the loud speaker "a customer needs help in fabrics" surely he did his job and in no time someone would be right over to help. After waiting an additional 10 minutes no one ever came. Usually I would just leave without making the purchase but I really needed a piece of this fabric. So, I went back to customer service and asked to see a manager. Just as I get the word manager out of my mouth the manager walks up and says I'm the manager what's the problem. I explained to her that I waiting in fabrics for nearly 20 minutes, pushed the help button numerous times, and even got an associate to call for help but no one has come. Long story short no one was willing to help so the manager had no choice but to go and cut the fabric. Wal-mart, I'm highly disappointed in your customer service. Concord used to be "The City of Concord." But now it feels just like Charlotte. The environment and employees at this location reflect that in the worst ways. The staff do not care nor pay any attention to the customers, and they are unhelpful 99% of the time. The store is filthy and disgusting. Most items remain in out of stock. Some items have been out of stock for two years. Management needs to step up and manage the store. To the employees who have been there 20+ years: Keep up the amazing work! This Walmart is a nice one. We go about one a week to buy household items for the house or groceries. But I have found many of times, they are out of stock of a lot of stuff. There machines half of the time doesn't scan the coupons that you have for products that you bought . Apparently NC passed a new gun law and citizens now have the right to carry weapons in public spaces. In WalMart a man came in with his gun and management asked him to leave. He cited the law and reminded them if they don't have a sign up notifying customers no weapons are allowed, he can go wherever he wants. Why didn't Walmart know this law was now on the books? Why wouldn't they be prepared to either have a sign thwarting off a gunman in the toy department OR tell the rest of us to mind our business and respect the gun owners rights? Either way, I would expect the largest discount retailer in the world to be prepared to address the issue with policies ahead of time. The poor employees were nervous and so confused, including the elder cashier that initially reported the gunman. She was clearly shaken and upset. Being a woman isn't really an excuse because I know plenty of men who love to shop. There are people who love clothes shopping... gadget shopping... and grocery shopping. Those of you who fall under the last category "lovers of grocery shopping" are a twisted bunch, in my opinion. Especially if you do your grocery shopping at Super Walmart. If you take offense easily you should press on because the truth is sometimes a little backhanded and what I have to say about the crowds and about walmart is no joyful dissertation. For centuries bargain shoppers across America have flocked to this overpacked, understaffed bustling treasury of prepackaged processed food and jettison. With "Rollback Savings" as the slogan of middle-low class Myspace pages we've certainly given in to the consumer mentality they are banking on. I for one have been and will again shop at Wal mart. But for what it's worth there are a few "beefs" (no pun intended) that I have with this place. The first is the staff at my local supershack. WHY oh WHY are there so many people working in the craft department but never enough working at the deli? At the lowest point in my walmart shopping debacle I have waited TWENTY MINUTES for sliced meat. Simply for the fact that I wanted to see how long it would take for them to slice meat I wasted almost half an hour of my life. I will never get it back. This woman behind the counter dawning a freshly stretched hair net asked me "What can I get ya?" and I asked very politely for one half pound of thin sliced turkey. This request would be the death of me. My first mistake was not specifying the brand and genre of turkey I would like. "Do ya wanna have smoked, hickory smoked, honey baked, roasted, Jeannie-O, Sara Lee, Boar's Head..." OH. MY. GOSH. So I specified very clearly, "I would liked Roasted Jeannie-O turkey, sliced thin." And she looked at me like I'd asked for a deep fried mars bar. I repeated myself, again, making sure to pronunciate my words clearly and it finally seemed to seep in. So she goes over to the meat case and gets out the END CAP of a roasted turkey. Dread setting in to my mind now... She turns to me and says, "Hun, we're all outta roasted turkey by Jeannie-O can I getcha Sara Lee? But it's not on sale, you'd have to pay the full price." By now there is a line of angry huffing customers waiting for their super bargain deli meat and I am feeling the pressure. So I say, "Yes, yes that's fine I'll take whatever you've got." So she finally gets the meat out of the case after rewrapping her end cap of Jeannie-O and unwraps the Sara Lee and we're finally getting somewhere when she turns around and says, "Hun, what number do you want me to slice the turkey on?" All I can do to keep myself from screaming is say, "As thin as you can get it without actually shaving it." I can hear the woman behind me shaking her head and drumming her fingers on the cart handle. If the looks could kill I would be six feet under by now. So finally we're at the slicer and she has unwrapped the meat and all I can imagine now is that this woman is going to turn on the slicer and slice her fingers off and then some angry customer behind me will yell, "Look what you've done!" and kill me. But she gets slicing and seems to be doing well until I realise that she has started to shave the turkey. I decide this isn't a big deal and watch her finish up. I'm dreading the next question but I know it's coming... "Would you like something else, hun?" And the question that has been bouncing around in my mind.. Do I really need cheese...? Finally I decide that turkey without cheese is like peanut butter without jelly.. so I say, "Yes, one half pound of Stella Provolone Cheese." (I'm prepared with a brand name this time.) And it's like the entire line behind me is groaning and whispering about me. My palms are sweating now. Where are these people? Shouldn't there be more than one deli slicer person here? Are they all at lunch, what's the deal? So she gets my cheese and I'm thinking yes, this only took a few seconds and then she turns around and scratches her face with her gloved hand and I'm thinking.. oh crap. So she says, "Sorry I need to go get a new glove and the box is empty so I have to go in the back and get a new one." I'm practically shaking now. There is an angry mob of people behind me who just want a pound of roast beef and I am in the way of them getting it. I'm afraid for my life. So she comes out with her new glove, all smiles and chipperness and I'm about ready to reach across the counter and... So she gets the cheese and brings it to the slicer and starts slicing a piece and then she picks the piece up off the counter, turns around and announces, "IS THIS THIN ENOUGH?" Visited your auto center today. Only 1 happy cat in the bunch. People were backed up and some were complaining that after two hours of waiting they were told they didn't have tires for their vehicle. Your INSIDE store crew are some PERVS. You need to ensure you train your staff if verbal and NONVERBAL harassment.
