Harris Teeter is still my go to store but this location will give them fits. Harris Teeter has always been the gold standard in our local market. That is, till Publix moved in. 90% of my grocery shopping is still with Harris Teeter but we occasionally shop at Publix for cut fruit, fresh bakery products and a few items that Harris Teeter does not carry. Store is new and very clean. Only problem is that they run a very lean operation and it you can't find something, you have to troup to the from of the store to get an answer. Otherwise a very good competitor.

A shopping experience at Publix is no short of pleasant and enjoyable! I have fond memories of going to Publix when I was growing up in Miami, so I was very excited to see a Publix open up in Cornelius, NC. This particular Publix is clean, organized and has a nice parking lot (with easy angled parking!) In terms of value, you can't go wrong with their BOGO deals. BTW, their sales paper is super easy to read and is organized really well. If you're buying items that are on sale, I think it's comparable to most grocery stores. I also think their private label items are reasonably priced and taste good. Lastly, I'm a big fan of the Publix bakery. It's the only reliable place I've found to get a good Cuban pastry like a pastelito in the suburbs of NC. Also, I grew up on Publix birthday cake, and I wholly believe it is the tastiest. Their custom cakes are super convenient, and they give you many options for cake flavor and decoration. I've never been disappointed by their selection. Furthermore, they can get you a custom cake quickly. I believe it was 24 hours, but you'll have to check with the bakery counter.

Do you know what it takes to get photos in a supermarket without getting caught? More than you think. I can't just take a photo in plain sight because it's weird. Instead, I pretend I'm a spy and take some stealth shots like it's a surveillance mission. And I don't get caught. Homie don't play that. I'm getting this inkling that you're not sure if I qualify as a homie. Definition of Homie: an acquaintance from one's town or neighborhood, or a member of one's peer group or gang. I don't live in Denver NC, but I do live in the next town. When I visit Publix in Denver, the staff says hello and smiles. Maybe I'm giving myself too much credit, but this makes me assume they remember me. Therefore, they are acquaintances from my area, and in turn, my homies. And that makes me their homie. In fact, the next time I enter Publix, I fully expect the older lady at the front to say, "What's up, homie!" and give me a pound. This place is super clean and the staff is incredibly friendly. However, I bought a cannoli and the cashier said it was an eclair, but an eclair has the texture of a puffy doughnut; a cannoli has the texture of a cookie. I like both but prefer cookies.

Sub shop review because today, Tony was fantastic! I stopped in to pick up a lunch for my sister who I mentioned had just had a baby. Tony put my sub together like a pro and even made suggestions as to flavors and sauces that would compliment my choice of protein. We had great conversation, he offered the upgraded combo (chips and a drink) which I didn't need, wrapped my sandwich and wished me congratulations on becoming an aunt! All within 3 min... I was out the door for about $8 with lunch and a great vibe. Thanks, Publix, for always being a solid grocery in the area! And special thanks to Tony for the awesome and personable customer service!!

Dispensed water is only $0.30 a gallon here and this particular Publix is less out of my way than other places so I stop in as needed. In addition to picking up the infrequent $9.00 key-lime pie I'll take a gander at the produce when I'm here. Other than favorable pricing on organic eggs nothing really inspires making a special trip over here, especially since I switched banks, barbers, and jobs. So until and unless my commute changes Publix will be the place I get stuff when I get water.

Absolutely love Publix. Their fresh baked breads come in a wide variety of flavors. The bakery is awesome. We have sampled many of the items in the bakery and even though we haven't tried everything, everything we have taken home has been awesome. There seafood section & selection is awesome as well. I'm a seafood lover and they are now offering a planned meal. You select your favorite fish, shrimp or scallop. Pick your sauce. They put it in a bag. You take it home and throw it in the over. 15 to 20 minutes later, you have your dinner. You can also pick up recipe cards every week. They cook different items on a daily basis and you can sample them as well. All-in-all we are impressed with Publix and their employees. They are very friendly and informative. Give them a shot for yourself and you will fall in love with this store.

Harris Teeter, depending on the neighborhood they served, varied somewhat. This is one of the more upscale ones serving a rather upscale area. That said, with a lot of competition, they have one of the lowest price structures in the Harris Teeter chain, This is particulary true if you use their loyalty card call a VIC card. The deal with Kroger was only consumated back in May but already, things have changed. A large number of items have had their price reduced and Kroger/Harris Teeter is making a statement that they are going to be competitive in the long run. That said, we have been shopping at this store since it opened probably 15 years ago. Selection is excellent and the staff is great. If they are out of something or you can't find something within the store, they make sure it is on the next truck and if not a normal item, will pass on the request to the pertainent buyers. The pharmacy staff is also excellent and have been responsive to every need. One more point and that is they just finished a store removation and now they offer a lot more from an in house deli, breakfast bar, pizza bar, salad bar etc. Only thing missing is a place to eat it, otherwise you have to take it out.

Tuna Noodle Casserole…read more Back at Thanksgiving, the company I work for gave everyone a gift card for Food Lion. Food Lion is not a store we normally shop at because we have Harris Teeter, Publix and Fresh Market within 5 minutes of our house. Still we had this gift card and my wife coming back from Circle at Church decided to go ahead and use it and pick up some things and use the value of the card. This is when she found that the carry Tuna Noodle Casserole in the frozen dinner section. None of the other stores we shop at do but this one does and she loves Tuna Noodle Casserole. Good for her but because of an earlier experience with producing a copious amount of Tuna Salad Sandwiches, I prefer to stay as far away from Tuna as possible although I have been known to eat Sushi with Tuna. She was happy with her Tuna Noodle Casserole and this past Sunday, she wanted to stop on our way home from Church. We split up and she went one way while I hunted for Steaks for dinner along with fruit that we could snack on. Steaks were easy to find and they were a very good price for two Rib Eyes and when cooked, were very good. The fruit was OK but the precut watermelon was very bland. The Pineapple was OK. What I was impressed with was the Latin Section. They have one of the most expansive and comprehensive selection of goods for the hispanic community that I have seen in this area. Very good selection and we will be back. This was not my first time in the store although it has been a number of years. In the meantime, they have remodeled somewhat and it's a very pleasant shopping experience.

The decline in food quality and inattentive service have removed this restaurant from our rotation.

They're PACKED on Wednesday nights because it's wine night so if you're coming for just food I would avoid Wednesdays. Their servers are all so friendly and great at making recommendations. I've liked everything I've ordered here except for Salmon -- so I would just stick to steak in the future. Even their coleslaw is amazing! We've come several times and have always been pleased. Prices are great, it's nice to be able to go somewhere for a nice steak but it's still in a casual environment.
