The meat counter was well stocked and while these steaks are a bit more expensive than the ones I'd have gotten at Aldi, they're high quality. Grocery aisles are wide enough for carts and the shelves are properly leveled. There are no "holes" in the stock today and the prices are displayed clearly. Me and my friends talked about how rude she was for the rest of our outing in Birkdale. As it completely ruined the vibe of the day. So moral of the story please Walgreens watch your employees because it takes only a few words to ruin a day.

Typically I have no trouble other than the sub not being ready when u get there. This time I ordered at 11:15. Email at 11:30 when it was ready and I got back to the office with it at 11:50. It was a soggy mess. Ordered tuna, not toasted with all the veggies and no dressing. I avoid the dressings since that can tend to make the bun soggy. This sub looked like it was made the day before yesterday. When I pulled it out of the bag, it had soaked through all the papers and dripped on my desk. A lot of vegetables were not inside the bun, but between the papers. As I unwrapped, the innermost paper disintegrated and I had to pick pieces off the bun. Lunch was half over so I had no choice but to dig in. As always, the taste was pretty good. Veggies still crisp. But the bun was a a wet cold nasty bit. Ate the insides with a fork and tossed the bun. Not sure how this happened within 45 minutes.

Did I mess up or play it right?…read more I went to get my Bings, which are healthy energy drinks. I usually go to Harris Teeter but I know the Food Lion in Mooresville has them on sale so wanted to check this one out. They did indeed have Bings on sale, but only for one flavor, which I had never seen before. That being the case, I took my 12 Bings (three on sale if by flavor) and went to the register to inquire. Up until this point, I was a normal, logical, and respectful human being. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how long that lasted. I approached the cashier and put the Bing-filled handheld basket on the stationary conveyor belt and looked at the cashier but she was violently cross-eyed. No big deal but just not something I expected so I froze for a brief second. Maybe five seconds. "What?" she said. "What?" I replied as if me staring at her for five full seconds was normal and I didn't understand her question. "You're staring at me because I'm cross-eyed." "Me?" I pointed to myself. "No. I didn't even notice that." I was taught as a child that the only good lie was a white lie to protect someone's feelings. "Yes you were." "Okay, maybe, but I was just admiring how beautiful it is because, figuratively speaking, it's like being at the beach and the mountains at the same time. "The beach and the mountains, dude?" She just stared at me. I think. It wasn't going well and without saying a word, I picked up my basket and headed toward self-checkout. Along the way I mumbled to myself out loud: "Just tying to help the human race by not using self-checkout but whatever." So, if you saw a dude that looks like me mumbling to himself in the store, that was me. Or if you just saw a dude that looks like me, that was probably me anyway. As for the store, and aside from this embarrassing experience, the lady at the self-checkout area confirmed that only one flavor was on sale (odd), but it was a simple and easy checkout experience. However, I grabbed one of those $1 packets of vanilla wafers along the way and later learned they tasted like coffee-flavored cardboard. Avoid those! But now it motivates me to get the regular vanilla wafers because they are great. Maybe the store does this on purpose. If so, genius move. The staff here is hit and miss as are the prices. The vibe of this whole shopping center has gone downhill over the years due to Huntersville getting greedy and overbuilding everywhere. It's not about top-line growth; it's about quality of life. Your greed has backfired and you have failed miserably. Your legacies are destroyed forever. For a better shopping experience and great prices, go to Aldi across the street but Food Lion isn't bad, it just Food Lion. It's the supermarket equivalent to McDonalds. You just need to know what to expect.

Good selection with good prices and while a bit out of the way from where I normally shop, it's worth a stop if I am in the area. Most of our Doctors are in the area so it's a good stop then . Well-lit and clean and staff is very helpful. As is the case of most Food Lions, they are the champions on price.

McCormick spices, cheaper at Food Lion. The produce is better quality at food lion in my opinion as is the meat (and cheaper I find, especially manager specials and sales) EXCEPT for the pork. Almost every time I've gotten a pack of pork from Food Lion it has gone rancid within a day after having it in the fridge. Like you can smell sulfur/rotten eggs through the packaging.

Everything I go, I bring home something different that I had not set out to buy in the first place. This is particularly true of their cheeses. Twice a year, normally in April and October, they have weeklong promotions of German Staples and Meats. Always something good and delicious. Did I mention that ALDI is German? Repeated the same thing yesterday. City Lunch was closed despite the hours being 5:30am to 5:30pm. East Lincoln Mini Mart had their equipment back online, so I ordered two of them. No place to sit so I took them home since I only live about 10 minutes away. Building is not much to look at, but the Hot Dogs were incredible. The dogs were all beef and had great flavor and texture with a nice snap. Not normally a fan of slaw and I did not tell them "No Slaw". so they came with slaw. Something about North Carolina, everything comes with slaw. Nevertheless, the Hot Dogs even with the Slaw were delicious. Price was more than reasonable and a great value The sign boasting "Best Hotdog in Town" on the front of the building is accurate and the place lives up to the sign. Will definitely be back.

Two reasons for the lower rating. There are no sides, and I was told they don't have a fryer. So much for French Fries, Tater Totes etc. Other problem is there is no place to enjoy your sandwich. Plan on taking it with you. I ended up eating the Cheeseburger seated in my car and being very juicy, had to change clothes when I got home. So long as you're planning on taking your meal with you, you will probably enjoy this place. If I had to compare the Cheeseburger to another Chain, I would say probably 5 Guys but less expensive.
