For a grocery store, great selection, reasonable prices and very clean and organized. Harris Teeter's will change since they were purchased a couple of months ago by Kroger will change and the changes are already occurring. Harris Teeter, depending on the neighborhood they served, varied somewhat. This is one of the more upscale ones serving a rather upscale area. That said, with a lot of competition, they have one of the lowest price structures in the Harris Teeter chain, This is particulary true if you use their loyalty card call a VIC card. The deal with Kroger was only consumated back in May but already, things have changed. A large number of items have had their price reduced and Kroger/Harris Teeter is making a statement that they are going to be competitive in the long run. That said, we have been shopping at this store since it opened probably 15 years ago. Selection is excellent and the staff is great. If they are out of something or you can't find something within the store, they make sure it is on the next truck and if not a normal item, will pass on the request to the pertainent buyers. The pharmacy staff is also excellent and have been responsive to every need. One more point and that is they just finished a store removation and now they offer a lot more from an in house deli, breakfast bar, pizza bar, salad bar etc. Only thing missing is a place to eat it, otherwise you have to take it out. read more

Not having this chain in Idaho I was impressed. Similar to the whole foods. Nice food bar - breakfast items. For Labor day they had breakfast bar priced at $4.99/lbs vs. the normal $7.99lbs. The price on Boars-Head sub sandwiches is slightly less than Public's Boars-Head sub. read more

Let's just say. I love Harris teeter. I recently moved here from the High Point location and that store is the best store I have ever been too. So let's start with this store in Cornelius is a JOKE!!!!! The store is clean and always stocked but the Employees suckkkk...... I have been going and getting my groceries there since it's the closest to my house of the Harris teeters and the last couple of times I have been. This girl name Heather always gives the ugly looks and she just stares at me and my boyfriend which is kinda unpleasant (who wants to be stared at) come on!!! And not sure why. I haven't really had any problems with Harris Teeter and I usually love the deli! Today I purchased soup and a bread roll. When I first opened the roll I notice the mold, and then the expiration date which was 8/28/2017 and today is 9/11/2017. Very upset and disgusted... :( read more

I love a good, clean, well-stocked Harris Teeter. This location is quite nice. I'm not surprised, given the surroundings (wealthy neighborhood), but most of their staff seems to be the typical teenager after-school gig so I will at least commend them on their hiring. It could certainly be worse. The worst thing I could say about this HT.. nothing. They're even open 24 hrs. The best thing.. they have EVERYTHING. I have, not once, in nearly 10 years, stopped in for something they were sold out of. So A+ to whomever does their inventory. read more

This is my favorite HT of all HTs! I like it for several reasons: 1.) It always seems well-stocked and clean, even on it's busiest days. 2.) Excellent Asian food bar. We like it better than most restaurants. 3.) They seem to get interesting food items that other Teeters don't, probably because it's in an upscale area. 4.) Best meat dept. of any Teeter. As a chain I love Harris Teeter for their quality, prices and customer service. It's where I do the bulk of my grocery shopping as their sales can't be beat. read more

I don't come here often, but my latest visits were memorable for all the wrong reasons. I wanted a night off from cooking so I thought I'd get something from the Asian and salad bars. Yeah, no. The salad bar was disgusting. The carrot and lettuce were drowning in water. Not damp from a little bit of melt from the ice they use to keep the bar fresh; these were drowning, floating in two-three inches of water. Obviously they hadn't bothered to refresh it for a few hours. I get not every HT can be as good as the one on the corner of Central and Plaza, but that was gross. The food on the Asian bar was, I didn't discover until I got home, ridiculously over salted. Couldn't eat it, refused to serve it to my diabetic grandfather. Over twenty dollars in the trash and I ordered Domino's. I've never had a problem with their salads or their chicken. I still visit this store for some things, but I avoid the deli area like the plague. read more

They have it all. Prices are a bit on the high side but so far the meats seem well priced. Nice deli section

The staff is always friendly. My wife is really good with coupons so the prices are reasonable if you watch prices. It's always very clean.

Absolutely love HT. Friendly people, the store is always clean and they are almost always in stock of what you're looking for. That said, they are way too expensive for the items you can get other places. read more

Very disappointed in the corsage that my son ordered and picked up from this store. Not only did they decide NOT to put the corsage in a box, but they put it in a bag with the roses looking like they were dying. I called the store and was told that the manager decided not to put any of them in boxes. This is Prom season so I feel like they took total advantage of the teenage boys picking up these corsages. Horrible customer service in my opinion! Definitely not worth the $30 he paid..Unfortunately, today is the Prom so it is too late to turn it down and buy from another store. When I applied to Harris Teeter to be a Cashier, management put me on the register for about three days. After I had made a few mistakes, they took me off the register, told me it wasn't the right job for me, and put me on as a bagger. I was so frustrated because they never told me what the mistakes were until I asked them. Tthey never showed me what I could do to improve. After they threw me off the register, they finally started telling me what I did wrong just as it happened but, they treated the smallest mistakes like it was the end of the world,which made me feel like was constantly walking on eggshells. They gave me no time to learn the job. They just expected me to know everything from day 1. Harris Teeter, from my perspective, HATES part-timers. Management treats them like absolute garbage. First off, the hours that they give to part-time employees are crappy. When I went to my boss and requested more hours, she said that she would try and play around with the hours a little bit to see if she could give me some. She then said there were no hours available. After that conversation, management continued to hire more people. This made no sense to me. Second, the law says that every employee has to be working at least a six and half hour shift in order to get a 30 minute break. Harris Teeter makes sure that part-time employees don't work that many hours in one day. Also, they only give them two days a week plus an on call shift, if they're lucky, which, by the way was totally stupid because it not only ruined my day but also the day of the person who might have had to drive me to work. Third, management sucks at dealing with employee relations. My co-worker was a bagger like me, and he thought he was the boss of all of his fellow baggers. He would always talk down to them as if he was their superior which he wasn't. When I talked to one of my managers about this, he called ALL the baggers on duty into the office and screamed at ALL of us. That's no way to do deal with that sort of situation. They could use a lesson in how to effectively speak to employees. Harris Teeter's customer service is horrible. Every time they change up management, they end up screwing up their customer's orders. Plus, the prices there are ridiculous. Seriously, I could buy a box of Pop-Tarts for half the price at Food Lion (a southern grocery chain) than at Harris Teeter. All in all, Harris Teeter is a miserable place to work and shop. Now that Publix (a much nicer store)has come in across the street, I feel certain that any smart shopper will be shopping there anyway. read more

Customer service at this store has really gone downhill. It wasn't great to begin with, but now it is just terrible. Don't bother using coupons there because they will treat you like you're taking the coupon value out of their paychecks. (Which coupons don't- they are reimbursed by the manufacturer.) For a good customer service experience, go to Publix across the street, where they bend over backwards to make you happy. Or better yet, wait for Wegmans to come to the Charlotte area.
