This is my local pharmacy. This particular location has been accommodating and generally pleasant, especially when I have to bring mom to get a vaccine. Both the pharmacy and the sales workers are willing to help with a smile. I only go in the cvs to pick up prescriptions for my mom. The pharmacy staff is always plesant and willing to assist witha smile and give you assistance with understanding your prescription. They will even bring to your attention if its your last refill. read more

I've had such a great experience here, and I honestly think a huge part of that is because of the lady who's the Operational Manager with the glasses, You can tell when someone genuinely cares about how things run and how customers feel, and it shows in every detail. Can't evaluate the pharmacy part because we get our prescriptions filled elsewhere. Store is clean and well organized with good selection. Friendly and helpful staff. When we lived in Cornelius, the only at the corner of W. Catawba and Jetton was the CVS we normally went to but for shots, we went to the one on River Hwy in Mooresville because they had a Minit Clinic inside. read more

Minute clinic is a complete waste of money. The lady told me my insurance will cover it, and it didnt cover a single $. $186 for a 2 minute appointment where she prescribed a $200 prescription i couldnt even afford. Better off going to your regular doctor, these people are just trying to make as much as possible off of you. read more

Rudest customer service I have ever received!!!!!! I never write reviews. Was treated like a fraud and humiliated. WILL NEVER RETURN. If that was the manager "helping" me, he needs to be reprimanded. TOTAL JERK!!! Edited to add: Right after that demeaning experience at said CVS, I went to the CVS in Maiden and the lady was so helpful and kind and the gift card transaction went through effortlessly! To the manager at the CVS on Sam Furr road/Catawba Ave, just so you know, there were NO ISSUES with my license and it ran through their system swiftly and properly. You should be ashamed of how you treated me in front of the other customers! The very fact that I have to prove myself in a review (that I NEVER do), should be humbling in of itself. They appear to be struggling, I stopped in on a Saturday evening before 7pm and they were closed! No hours on the door and it seemed odd to close so early on a weekend. Myself and another customer sat outside confused before leaving. Came by another day to the drive thru pharmacy window with a "closed temporarily" sign on it. A few weeks later my doc sent a prescription over and they said they were not in stock, it would be the next day. I needed the meds for a respiratory infection, I called two days later and she said they had it in and it would take an hour. That was the evening, it had been there and they didn't call as they said they would. read more

The pharmacists are rude and mean. They never talk to you like you are a person, but rather an annoyance. They don't like when you ask questions or might not know something. The retail staff and minute clinic staff are nice and helpful and the only reason I gave two stars. read more

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Horrendous customer service typically, there is one Rx person who goes out her way every time, but all others could care less. Can't get meds ordered/filled on time to save their life. If I could go back to Walgreens in Birkdale for my Rx I would, but unfortunately my plan does not allow. I WILL NEVER ever go here again. There is an older lady who is a teller who is so miserable. Holy cow! I understand hating your job, but yikes she takes it to a whole new level. She wouldn't even acknowledge us, just grabbed our products and started to scan them. We didn't have our cvs card because we never carry them. Every other CVS just asks us for our phone number, and shouldn't do that! We said have a nice day to her as we were leaving, because who knows maybe she was having a bad day.... I come here for my prescriptions and I've had a great experience so far! They're super friendly in the pharmacy department and on the phone as well. The few times I've walked in to buy makeup or random items, everyone's been super friendly! Totally makes it worth it. read more

My wife and I try to avoid this pharmacy. Go to Walgreens, Target, or Harris Teeter if you can. We switched to this pharmacy when Walgreens stopped accepting Tricare. First off, more than a few times I have had to wait an hour or more for items that "will be ready in a minute." Second, they screw up the dozes and medication instructions - happened twice now. So make sure you check the dosage and usage instructions especially compared to what your doctor tells you. Third, I visited the minute clinic which I thought was a flat rate clinic (isn't that why they have their prices posted). My minute clinic visit was quick and the service was great and I paid $75. However, a few months later I got an additional $90 bill from my insurance. What!? Not so apparently they will also bill your insurance and or add "outside lab" charges to what appears to be a flat rate service. That sucks. read more

We've been using this pharmacy since we brought my grandfather home a few years ago. I adore the pharmacists who work here. We've had problems with his insurance covering a certain antibiotic, and they went to bat for him. When they don't have something in stock, they play phone tag to find a pharmacy who does. And while my mother might drive them insane at times, they've never given me grief or screwed up my grandfather's medications. Seriously, the ladies and gentlemen behind the counter here deserve hugs and chocolate for all they do. read more

If you haven't heard of the CVS Minute Clinic.... listen up... it's the bomb. So I wasn't feeling well the other day and the thought of having to wait in a doctors office made me cringe (do you know how many sick people go there... ick) Anyway, so I over heard some ladies talking at Starbuck's one morning about this "Minute Clinic" where you can go and see a practitioner and they can write you a prescription which you can choose to fill there or not. The great part is, I was in and outta there within 5 minutes. It only cost me $13.80 for the visit. If you have minor issues that just require an antibiotic I highly recommend, if you like severed a limb or something I think you should just go on to the hospital. They aren't equipped for that sort of thing. read more

Updated on 9/16/2016 (original note posted a week earlier): When moving my prescriptions from Optum RX to CVS, I researched prices on the GoodRX site and found a coupon. I brought in the coupon and said to fill one prescription for 90 days (prescription was written this way, as was the coupon), and to just transfer the other prescription but do not fill it. I mentioned that this would save them time in the long run by not having to call twice. The pharmacist ended up arbitrarily filling my first prescription for 30 days (note that coupon and prescription was for 90 days) and charged me more money than the coupon called for. Then she said no less than four times that they were finding the best deal for me. Trying to get a word in edgewise, I reiterated that no one said that they weren't trying to get me the best deal, but I was trying to understand where the miscommunication was, e.g., Optum RX, coupon, etc. As well, the customer service filled my second prescription when I asked her not to, and charged me 3X the cost of WalMart. Since it was a pre-packaged medication that had not been opened, I asked if I could return it since I never ordered it. They said that would be against the law to return the medication; so instead I asked for a refund. The pharmacist said no, since my husband picked up the medication and signed for it. Little did I know that I would have to check dosages and costs for this particular pharmacist since both were incorrectly applied. The root problem is that she didn't listen. She talked over me every chance she could, e.g., at prescription drop-off to pick up to phone calls, constantly telling me that she will look for the best deal when I presented it to her. Very disappointing customer service, competency, but most of all, listening skills. **Updated 9/16/2016** - A day after this incident occurred, I called in to discuss with CVS's store managers, Nick and Stacy, both of whom could not be better listeners and immediately apologized for what had occurred. They both were able to validate facts (coupon, prescription, etc.) and found solutions that worked for everyone.
