I know it probably sounds silly like why you don't call the main number and ask to be connected but it does not work out that easily. My wife and I are both on Social Security and every fall we meet with a licensed insurance agent, and we go over which is the best plan for us. Oddly enough, the best pharmacy for her and me are sometimes different due to the mix of drugs. She has several prescriptions for diabetic medicines that are fairly expensive, and I have several for COPD, Last year, while we had the same pharmacy, we had different insurance carriers. Also, part of the total picture is that under Medicare Advantage there are some dental and eye care coverage to consider. Biggest problem and the only reason for four stars is that at least one of my wife's diabetic mediations is generally on backorder I have the same problem with one of my medications for COPD. Not a problem because they are able to transfer the prescriptions to the Wal-Mart Pharmacy which has no problem getting the needed prescriptions. The inconvenience is that now I have to make two stops as opposed to one. I went ahead and changed Insurance Providers because my current one, Blue Advantage went up on the copay and they are no longer the lower cost provider plus the third party they use for Dental Coverage is a nightmare for both me and the health care provider. The Pharmacy is excellent, and the staff is also very good. We got both our Flu and Covid shots several months ago and they caught a potential problem which I had to delay getting the Covid Shot. I had a minor injury in my foot and was on a steroid called Pregnazone. They cautioned that the two in combination had the potential to reduce the effectiveness of both and they recommended holding off on the Covid Shot till I had completed the Pregnazone regime. Which i did. Glad they caught it. Drive through is a dream and I really like the connivence. I like this place and strongly recommend it.

Publix does very little wrong! but I had a conversation yesterday with the on duty manager about this store being out of a basic never run out of item 2 weeks ago SUGAR there was not a box or bag in the store. There is a unwritten rule in the business certain things you just never be out of. Those are sugar, bread,eggs,milk and add water to that in today's world. I am just saying you can't let the computer do all your thinking and ordering for you. Publix you can do better than that. The only other thing I can complain about this store is the amount of prebaged produce with damaged or spoiled items. this is normally caused by rough handling while putting on a display. This is still the best option in stores around( all are to high priced) .

There was a product I needed that was at the very top of the shelf I am tall but not that tall. I tried to find someone to help me get the item down. I found a young man who was stocking in the dairy isle I asked him kindly if he could help me get the product, needless to say he was not happy about me putting him out . I thanked him for his time and help he never spoke one word to me and he appeared completely inconvenienced. It's too bad that this store is getting to be such a crummy shopping experience.

The butcher is also top notch. We like our steaks cut in a very particular way and they're always willing to help us out.They They have a pretty incredible selection of sausage as well for some reason. If sausage is your thing, this is your place for sure. Best part is that you can grab a beer at the little bar area to make your shopping experience all that much more enjoyable!

Food Lion is not a store we normally shop at because we have Harris Teeter, Publix and Fresh Market within 5 minutes of our house. Still we had this gift card and my wife coming back from Circle at Church decided to go ahead and use it and pick up some things and use the value of the card. This is when she found that the carry Tuna Noodle Casserole in the frozen dinner section. None of the other stores we shop at do but this one does and she loves Tuna Noodle Casserole. Good for her but because of an earlier experience with producing a copious amount of Tuna Salad Sandwiches, I prefer to stay as far away from Tuna as possible although I have been known to eat Sushi with Tuna. She was happy with her Tuna Noodle Casserole and this past Sunday, she wanted to stop on our way home from Church. We split up and she went one way while I hunted for Steaks for dinner along with fruit that we could snack on. Steaks were easy to find and they were a very good price for two Rib Eyes and when cooked, were very good. The fruit was OK but the precut watermelon was very bland. The Pineapple was OK. What I was impressed with was the Latin Section. They have one of the most expansive and comprehensive selection of goods for the hispanic community that I have seen in this area. Very good selection and we will be back. This was not my first time in the store although it has been a number of years. This is an odd and eclectic group of aligned businesses that include a small grocery store, a gas…read morestation, a hardware store, a place to refill propane tanks and a lawn and garden/farm supply store. The grocery store is just okay somewhere half way between a convenience store and s real grocery, it has almost everything but certainly stays away from prestige or quantity brands. The hardware and farm store (in adjacent building) are surprisingly good with an amazing variety of items and are more helpful than their big block store competitors. What can you say about the gas station!? As for the propane, in the lot between the buildings, is the propane contraption. You park aside it which is convenient in that you really don't have to carry your tank more than a few feet. Then you walk into the hardware store where you pay for your refill. Then they call someone in the grocery store to come out whom you meet back at the refill station and then they fill your tank. And my dog loves to go with me on this chore cause she sticks her head out of the window to hear the odd sounds of the refill and smell the unusual smells. Additionally you save a few bucks compared to the more traditional exchange places.
