I have been to many Walmart stores in the Central Ohio area. I typically find no difference from one store to the next, however I will say some are cleaner than others. The cleanliness usually depends upon the neighborhood in which it is located. As far as I'm concerned there is no difference between the way you're treated from one store to the next. I will have to say it is pretty uniform throughout all the stores and the treatment is third rate if that high. read more

My first stop ever in Columbus, Ohio was a Walmart. I never been and I was attending a conference in the city. Unfortunately, I completely forgot to pack my laptop charger before I left. D'Oh! So as we are driving up to Columbus, i am on my phone frantically trying to find a place that sells a charger that works on my laptop. I eventually found that both one Walmart and one Bestbuy in Columbus near the hotel sells a universal laptop charger that will work. BestBuy's is twice the price... so I go to Walmart. Large Walmart, they even have a Fed-Ex Office inside it seems. I get to electronics and find the laptop charger. Excellent! I find another universal laptop charger that is $10 cheaper than the one I even came for. $22 is definitely better than over $60 in Bestbuy that is for sure! The laptop chargers were unfortunately locked in a display case. This Walmart has a dearth of employees. After searching, I could only find one employee in electronics. The girl working there had several customers in line and at least two other people asking for things locked in different display cases. I had to wait a while to get what I needed but it certainly wasn't her fault. Walmart, though, needs to hire. I had a dinner with coworkers to get to. Eventually I got my charger and went on my way. After dinner, i tried the charger and it worked! Walmart saved my butt and my wallet as I needed my laptop to work as I was a presenter at the conference. This Walmart allows people to bring their pets into the store. I can't tell you how many times I've seen someone walking around holding their dog then picking up produce or other grocery items, some of which they put back down. I should probably ban all Walmarts, but I'm definitely done with this one. Edit: I forgot to mention that their parking lot was also poorly lit. read more

NEVER ORDER ANYTHING ONLINE!!!! I ordered a glass container set saying it was 16 pieces, and that means 8 containers and 8 lids. Very misleading. They took over a month to ship it to me when target only takes two-three days. When I got it they decided to put my GLASS containers in a bag. A BAG without bubble warp or anything. The worst Walmart I've ever been to. Always out of stock of most things it seems. No cashiers, but they have greeters at both doors doing nothing. Store manager barely knew how to help with the register when I had to flag him down on self checkout. I shopped at the Hilliard Westpoint Plaza Walmart. I needed groceries and, yes, TP. I can't believe people are still hoarding TP. Shelves were near bare. I saw staff in the frozen food section, 1 shelf stocker and at least 50% of the shoppers not wearing masks. This is the first grocery store I visited where shoppers were not being asked at the door to put on their mask. And chin diapers are for babies. Shop here and risk your life. The Walmart Supercenter in Westerville is a favorite place to shop. I especially like that I can find items here that I can't find at other grocery stores. One thing I have learned is that if you see an item that you want to "think about", don't think too long! I have seen a few items in here and walked away, changed my mind and decided to get it. Hot bar selections aren't bad This walmart is usually organized and clean compared to others. The produce is hit or miss, but I have come to talk on the hot bar and sweets. The hot bar usually has 3 types of bone-in wings, 2 types of boneless wings, fried fish, mozzarella sticks, mac and cheese, green beans, fried okra, fried rice, potato wedges,and egg rolls. Recently they have added boneless orange chicken so I have had that along with wedges. The boneless orange chicken are like large soggy chicken nuggets; the skin is usually sliding off on contact. The sauce is good though; more sweet-mustardy like a carolina gold sauce. The wedges are good, but dense. Be sure to have a beverage nearby. The sweets I usually go for are the donuts. They aren't the fanciest but they taste good enough to cure a sweet tooth. The same can be said for the cakes and cupcakes. They have nothing on Giant Eagle's baked goods and sweets, but if you are there already they aren't bad options to go with. read more

Disorganized. Unhelpful staff. Poor selection. Dirty. Lots of bums around the store grounds. Like most Wal-Marts, not enough lanes open. They do have self checkout, which is always a nice option. This store closes at night, it is not a 24 hour store. They are remodeling and the people in the store heading the remodeling (management, maybe?) are extremely rude. One lady was on the phone yelling at someone. Loudly. It was very uncomfortable to be around as I was trying to shop. All in all, it was a rather unpleasant experience. The workers are so slow and even though the app says your order is ready you sit and wait for an hour+ I've never seen any type of business run so poorly, this is Walmart hire enough workers or train them properly. Lord what can I say about this Wallmart. Just a terrible way to run a Bussiness. Was in the store today. Ten things on my list. Got three. Others were out. The same story every time I visit. Now the self checkouts only take cards. No cash at all. If you want to pay by cash you have to go to the two lines that is open they has four to five people ahead of you with full carts. Went to get some ink for my printer. Had to wait for 20 minutes to get waited on. Not the fault of the worker but management. If you are locking things up because of theft you have to provide more workers to help customers. I just don't know how Wallmart stays in Bussiness. SALVAH from the Auto Service Department has the worst customer service EVER!!! PERIOD!!! I came in to merely get a sensor reset that they installed and was told that I need three. This information I knew and I informed him of this when I originally dropped off the vehicle. After being asked/ quizzed instead of looking me up in the system (as it is done every where else) He finally accepted my truck. Not to be out done by his previously reported actions or the lack there of H left the counter to chit chat w/ his co workers around the corner in the auto bay After waiting while he conversation. Mind U NO OTHER CARS R HERE ONLY MINE It takes him over an hour of me telling him just reset the sensor that he finally does after I tell him to give me my car! I don't know what type of operation he is running back there, but it is obvious he feels irreplaceable and that's , I feel contributed to his lack luster attitude HE DESPERATELY NEEDS RETRAINING read more

I'll be the first to admit that while I'm not a big fan of Walmart's corporate policies, they do have some of the cheapest prices around. They have great prices on their baby stuff, which usually brings me in whenever I have an upcoming baby shower for a friend. Compared to other locations in Columbus, this store is a mess. There are always boxes of freight in the aisles in various states of being unpacked, and half-full carts of merchandise parked in random places The few items I'm looking for are always in need of being restocked. The lines build up without enough cashiers to handle the customers. This place is ALWAYS busy. Both of my sisters are cashiers at this store, and they always seem to get an earful from grumpy customers who take their frustrations out on them. I understand why this is, because after running the gauntlet trying to find the items you came in for, you are totally over it and prone to snap at the next person who even looks at you. If you HAVE to shop at Walmart, avoid this location. read more

Pros: Regular Walmart selection which is reasonable. Good location. Cons: Dingy. Employees often grumpy and u happy to assist. Review: One of my least favorite Walmarts to shop at. The employees are often grumpy and clearly trying to dodge helping customers. The place is overall dingy, even after the renovations a few years ago. They don't enforce masks like they should. Customers walk in and immediately take off the masks. I went there and several customers had no masks on some coughing on products. Some employees take their masks off as well. Another reason for a one star review is when you ask for help the employees pretend to not know English. There is no way you have a job and not any English at all. They do not sanitize between customers and the store is filthy. I have reported them to the CDC about not enforcing masks. I did speak to a manager that told me his employees should be enforcing masks because it's their policy but I told him that a few of his employees told me it's not their job to enforce them. It's a mess and I will not go their unless I have too anymore. read more

Not impressed with the variety of brands available. Produce is rarely very appealing, but they could be the time of the year. I visited the Walmart Auto Center at 5200 Westpointe Plaza Drive, Columbus, OH 43228. I think it's absolutely beyond absurd that I was turned away from getting an oil change at 6pm, A FULL HOUR BEFORE CLOSING. The employee said there were 2 cars ahead of me and then they were closing and would not accept my car. I live 20 min away and this was the closest location to me and I came straight after work to get my oil changed. There's nothing online or in the store that says locations would close early for any reason. This is ridiculous that someone coming an hour before closing can be turned away - wasting my time and gas. This policy needs to be change or be stated clearly. You can GUARANTEE that I'll never visit another Walmart or Walmart Auto Center ever again because of this negative reaction. read more

We went there Sunday evening, around 5 pm, to shop for groceries. The place looked like it hadn't been stocked for a few days. Very few eggs available, the milk shelves were nearly empty, the meat was nearly gone. No matter what aisle we went down, it looked like the place had been heavily picked over before a major storm was about to hit. Another complaint is that once an item is sold out on the shelf, it's never restocked. They just put other stuff in it's place. I find it inconvenient to have to run into Kroger or Meijer to get items Walmart once had on its shelves. read more
