This review is for the gas station and store. I would say 4 stars on the gas station, and 3 for the store. Spent more time in the store so going with an over all of an OK experience (3 stars). This really is a Nice Sam's! I was getting low on gas and decided to stop and fill up. I have been a member of Sam's club for a hear and a half and never got gas at any of the locations. I use the app and have my card saved there for the Pay and Go option in the store so it made getting gas super easy. I filled up and my receipt was emailed to me. After getting gas I decided to run in and check out the store. It had started to rain and unfortunately upon getting inside there were no shopping carts in the corral. No greater at the door so just walked in and started looking for some items on my list. They had exactly what I was looking for that is hit or miss at most locations so that was really nice. Not all the check out lines or self checkouts were open and lines and people everywhere and in the way. I hate when a store doesn't have enough cashier and really hate when they don't have enough cashiers and all the self check out lanes open. So annoying but luckily Sam's has a scan and go with the app that you can do it all yourself and bypass all that. I don't think you should have to do this option but on days like this it is nice. Making my way out they had two employees that check your receipts and items so that was nice. There was still a line but I made it out hands full and back to my car. A nice option but think I will stay with the Sam's clubs closer to home. read more

I have been a Sam's Club member for a while now and I've been to multiple ones in the Columbus area. There's plenty of parking at this location! All Sam's Club pretty much look the same, but this location is slightly bigger than some and more organized. Sometimes when you walk in a Sam's Club it feels almost like a zoo and everything and everyone is everywhere. They have everything you need and it's very clean. I haven't had long interactions with employees, but I've never seen them be rude. Because of covid right now, lines are social distanced. They do a great job of organizing lines and cashiers so that the line still moves quickly. I'll be back to this one! read more

If you have a business or somewhere where you need to purchase food and bulk Sam's is the best. But if you don't need bulk, you're basically going just to be going. You don't really save any money. I don't like the hassle where they have to check my receipt when I leave. I feel like I'm trying to get out of a lockdown facility. I paid for it. I should be able to leave out without having to show the receipt. If they don't like that they should have all the registers open so you have to check out through a cashier. I do not like Sams Club but that doesn't mean it's a bad store. It's a GREAT store. I just don't like how it so huge and I can never find anything. At this point in time, the corona virus news is hitting hard and it shows in all stores, this one included. People are buying toilet paper and paper towels like mad. Forget reducing and conserving, global warming, pollution... give us toilet paper. Not judging I was there for the same and they were sold out of both. Anyhoo, back to the review. The store was packed but I didn't have to wait to self checkout and the lady at the door was very kind and polite despite a long line to leave. There's something to be said for that. Patience and kindness goes a long way and that's what earned the five stars in a store I normally avoid. read more

If you value your time and your rims, do not have tires installed at this location. My tires came in and I received no phone call. I called in and had to have an associate from the central call center contact the vendor and track my tires down and schedule an appointment. They installed all 4 tires and apparently had zero regard for my rims as now each of them have visible scrapes and paint missing. They were not like this prior to having tires removed and installed at this location. The deal on the tires would have been great if I didn't now have to get new rims. read more

Darin is a butt wipe. He confronted me because I was going to get my Sam's club card from my phone. He begin taunting me telling me you can't use your phone to access your Sam's Club card. He came up close on me saying it again. I told him to get away from me and you don't have to come up on me to tell me anything. He said that is my job. I told him that isn't your job to come up on me period. Then Darin shouted go get a membership. I told him he doesn't know what I have! I went to the customer service desk and the guy was nice and gave me a print out that they scanned at the register. Since Covid is over people are back to being nasty if, not nastier than before! That didn't stop me from getting my groceries and I know that is what he wanted his behavior to do! read more

You can save a lot of money by shopping at a warehouse club if you buy on sale and shop smart. I have long been a proponent of Sam's Club and will continue to shop here for a long time. I have been in a dozen or so Sam's Clubs over the years and they are generally well stocked and the prices are pretty good when compared to the traditional department or grocery stores. The Rome Hilliard Sam's location is easy to get in and out of. The store is large, fairly clean, decently organized and unfortunately like the other Columbus Sam's Clubs, understaffed. It seems like some days they have more people giving out free samples that don't work for them, than they have actual employees that do work for them in the aisles and at the registers. Management knows peak times and doesn't staff to accomodate or provide quality service. As it seems like no two Sams Club have the same layout, a lack of customer service sticks out when you are wondering around trying to find something and can't get any help from an employee. This issue also asserts itself in the checkout lines. When you have a dozen checkouts and only two open for sixteen people in line there is a problem. It would be nice if management had a better grasp of staffing so they could keep additional employees that were cross trained to work the floor and the registers. If the check out is backed up call someone to the front until the rush is over. If they are not busy up front, release them to departmentments where they can provide better customer service than they do with no one. I really am a fan of Sam's, that is why I have maintained a membership for fifteen years. I just wish they could recognize their issues and address them to provide a better shopping experience for their members. It should not take longer to check out than it does to shop at any time. read more

Bought a membership here in 2002 solely to buy Halloween candy, as we are the house that still gives out full size candy bars. Here I am a dozen years later (having just picked up my Halloween Hershey bars again), still a member but one who buys a lot more. I got tires put on my car here at their service bay. I buy bulk paper goods like paper towels and toilet tissue...you can get name brands or Sam's brand at prices generally far lower than grocery stores, even with coupon pricing. We get bottled water for kids' lunches. I have not purchased a television, computer, printer, cell 'phone, or a bottle of high end perfume here, but they do carry all this stuff, including Apple products. Today, we stocked up on staple items like salsa, rice, canned veggies, and even got a giant Nutella for less than we would pay for the regular size one at a store. We don't do all our grocery shopping here, but it is worth the membership price ($40 a year) if you stop by every few months to stock up on non perishables. Yes, it's a warehouse full of stuff. But, it's a warehouse full of stuff you are going to need anyway, so buy in bulk at lower pricing than the smaller containers you would have gotten. And then get gas, because it's cheap here, too. read more

The pizza here is the BEST. They will cut it into squares. I know this sounds strange or silly but I have bought pizzas at SAMs clubs in other states and they say , "we don't do squares" Also the front desk associates are so helpful. Again other states front desk staff are not as helpful. This is a great location and I love it!!! read more

The store is good. The prices are good, however, there are too many sales people accosting the customers. I'm there once a week and every. single. time. the Direct TV people, the people asking about your electric service, the people at the gas station trying to sell you some cleaner. It's just too much. I hate high pressure sales people. It's uncomfortable when they walk up to you and try to sell you on something EVERY FREAKING TIME I walk through the door or stop to get gas! Always been a fan of Sam's Club. Being able to come in grab everything I need, get my kid a couple samples (to buy me about 15-20 extra minutes in the store), and to find everything that is in bulk to save me overtime is amazing!! The only thing I wish Sam's Club offered more of is Gluten Free options such as, but not limited too; Noodles, Flour, Bread, Cookies, etc... It's tough to find good quality Gluten Free options that are already made and if Sam's Club could start offering these options I would give you 5 Stars all day long. read more

My preferred Columbus area Sam's club. Compared to the Sawmill location, the Hilliard location is bigger with a bit more selection in many parts of the store. Also, I have less trouble navigating around other customers here than at the Sawmill location. Both the store staff and the customers are a bit more polite / considerate of one another. read more

If you don't shop well then clearly you're not human or have the lap of luxury to send someone else off to do it for you. Now if you do shop, you would know why people frequent Sams club. Deals! Deals! Bulk! Bulk deals! Need I say more? Yeah, sorry I do need to say more. This place has eveything, well most of everything you may need. Not many brands to choose from as far as say ketchup, etc. But buying in bulk is good for business owners to save or make some money selling in vending machines and such. The store is clean, employees are nice, lines aren't to bad (nothing like it's value store counter part Aka Wal-Mart). The cost of the card does pay for itself so becoming a member isn't bad. I dont really get the attraction of Sams other than buying bulk stuff for a business. Everything comes in packages and in bulk which is more than a 3 person household needs. What i do get: free samples that make it fun to take my daughter around too when she is fussy and needs to get out of the house during the winter. Rotisserie Chicken for $5, milk for $2.50, Bananas for under $.50 a pound, cheaper gas, and a few good deals of the of the month items. We signed up because of a great deal and we have pretty much saved that money in the $25 gift card, three free meal coupons, and gas prices. Their food seems to be more process and packaged boxes of TV type meals that i try to stay away from. Maybe if I have another kid or two and when they get older the attraction to this place will be understandable. read more

This review is particularly for the company that Sam's Club uses to deliver and install sheds that they sell: Go Configure. My experience was very frustrating! No one showed up for my delivery/installation appointment. I called to find out why. I was told by the ONE CONTRACT EMPLOYEE that the company puts it back on him to find a "helper" (for clearly a 2-man job) and this "helper" blew him off. Some came 2 days later and the shed was installed. However, they left the huge cardboard boxes in my front yard while I was at work and never came back to get them. I'm left with cardboard so big I can't even fit it in my SUV. Terribly unprofessional. I spoke with a customer service representative, and her response was "things happen". Oh dear. read more

We have been Sams Club members since September 1991. In the last 6 months we have noticed that this club has not done a good job at cleaning up perishable items left by customers in other areas of the store. These items should be quickly placed back in the coolers or discarded if needed. Several weeks ago I noticed someone left a prepared chicken in the supplements/vitamins isle. Incompetent and they just don't care. I called the store near me to see if they had a item in stock. They said they had plenty of them. I immediately went to the store and they did not have them. The employee told me they ran out a week ago. I then went online and ordered the item to be shipped to the store for pickup. The next day, I get an email saying the order was cancelled. No explanation was given so I call samsclub.com. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes, they informed me that the order was cancelled because the store did not have the item. I already knew that which is why I ordered it online. To solve the problem, I ordered the item to be shipped to my home and asked them to credit my account for the cost of shipping. They agreed, so I placed the order. As of today, it has been 9 days since placing the order and I have not received it. I called samsclub.com again. After waiting another 12 minutes, the employee pulls up the order and says the item was pulled three days after placing my order, but they haven't shipped it yet. He said he needed to find out what was going on with the order. I should also add that Sam's Club never credited me for the shipping. As of now, I have spent well over an hour to get a $20 item. I tried to purchase this item three different time and have never been able to get the item. Each time I have called Samsclub.com, the employees have had an, "I don't give a s-#*! attitude." Today I utilized the Sam's club iPhone app to upload and print pictures. I was super excited to do this because other services I have recently used to print photographs have left me completely disappointed. To begin with, the app seemed easy enough. I had to create a sign in and password and upload my photos. Upload was fast enough and I was able to zoom in and out of my photos. I was also able to select the pictures separately to crop and choose the sizes that I would like. I noticed this was very important to do because most of them were cropped in weird places automatically. Cropping each photo did take a while, however I was happy to do this to make sure my shots looked how I needed them to. After placing my order I was happy to see that my photos would be finished after one hour. Here's where my 2 star review begins... I picked my photos up from the Hilliard location, paid and went to my car. I became incredibly disappointed when I found that the majority of my shots were unusable. Most of them were cropped so oddly that I had a photo of just my forehead, my husband and my sunglasses, my son's diaper, among other awkward shots. I was incredibly frustrated because not only was my painstaking cropping done in vain, but they weren't even cropped how my app had auto cropped. What was more frustrating was the app does not save your order so I wasn't able to even review or resubmit (not that I wanted to) the order I had placed. Now, I am giving this store 2 stars (rather than 0) because when I went back for a refund, they gladly did so. I also asked to keep my botched photos due to the fact that my child's face (part of it at least) were in some of the pictures (I don't know if creeps have access to the discard pile). Ugh... any suggestions on where to print photos?! read more
