On the whole, it is a delight to shop here. The Isles are more than wide enough, the store is incredibly bright and clean. Variety and quality of food produce is very high. The pharmacy is always highly proficient and quick to visit, and again the variety of produce in the pharmacy/hygiene areas is excellent. The only down-side, and what stops this being a 5-star review,is the emptiness of many of the shelves in the Food area early on a Saturday morning. Came in at 9:20. Missed the after drop off crowd so was able to walk up and order directly after entering. Staff was friendly. Pleasant. Place was so loud I couldnt hear the staffs response to my questions. Saw a twisted bakery item that looked like a long twisted straight croissant but found it was loaded with cinnamon sugar, which I did not want I asked if they had regular croissants ...After learning they did not have croissants I was a little stunned, as that's really what I was coming in for. They didn't even have their banana bread, which is usually my next go to item. I did notice the bakery items looked very good. They had one sandwich that looked like it was a Caprese on a narrow longish baguette. Their egg sandwiches are the signature item and it are excellent, but it just wasn't that hungry. I shop at the Grove City Meijers on 665, there are never enough registers open and self check outs are always a wait. Im constantly being over charged for regular and sale item. A few employees are more worried about complaining about other employees or customers than they are about serving their customers. I love this store. Employees are very nice and always helpful. Good prices and an abundance of items. The only reason that I sometimes dread coming to the Hamilton Road location is the people that are begging for money in the parking lot. Almost every visit, I get stopped by someone in the parking lot asking for money. I barely make ends meet and it makes me feel so bad because I never have any money to give them. I came here a few weeks ago for a few groceries and found everything I wanted, except couscous. I love that Meijer has boxed Riesling, which is hard to find. I ran in last weekend just for duct tape. The greeter in front of the door was just the guy I needed. I asked him to steer me towards duct tape and he pointed and gave me the aisle location. I found what I needed and checked out quickly. I just moved to North Carolina and there is nothing like Meijer's there. All we have is high prices and little selection. Now We have Walmart and Food Lion. Meier has fifty varieties of shredded cheese, they have three. Then when you're done shopping for food you have to go to Lowe's for hardliners, or Kohls for homeware. Don't understand why they sent the confirmation that my order was ready if they were not able to fulfill the order. First and foremost, lot of great folks that work here and this really isn't a reflection on them but much more a reflection of how this store runs and the setup. They have to change something here and this predates Covid and the great resignation. They have 17 registers where a human has to check you out and even during the busiest times there is at most 4-6 open. The self checkout are only for 12-24 items. They need to bulldoze half the registers and turn them into self checkout without an item limit. The way this place runs now is just insane. read more

This is a bog-standard semi-value department store complete with pharmacy, clothing, grocery, home, toys, and electronics sections. If you're looking for something else, you'll be disappointed. However, one thing that sets this Meijer above other stores in the area and earns 4 stars is the produce section-you simply cannot beat the produce here! I prefer to do the majority of my grocery shopping at the Giant Eagle down the road, but always save my produce for Meijer. The selection is amazing, the quality impressive, and the price just right. Especially when looking for fresh fruit, it can be hard to find it at the "just ripe enough" stage. It seems fruit is always either at "will rot on the ride home" or "give it two weeks," but Meijer has fruit at all degrees of ripeness. Want a ripe avocado ready for tonight and another for a few days from now? No problem. Mangoes to last a week? Yeup. There are better specialty stores nearby for about everything Meijer offers, but if you want great produce, this is it. read more

I've been going to this Meijer for 5 years. I typically go after midnight, so I don't have to deal with crowds (and, unfortunately, can't get stuff from the deli or bakery counter.) So this review is a bit biased toward the 3rd shift, I guess. The staff is always helpful, and since I'm a regular they know me now and we chat if there's time. You do have to deal with stocking at that time of night, but that's true anywhere. Prices, overall, are a little lower than Kroger or Giant Eagle. Plus, it's nice to be able to get household stuff in addition to groceries. read more

This meijer is the closest to where I reside, so it gets points for convenience, however I use that term quite loosely. This store is NEVER in stock with items and takes a weeks if not months to restock. On top of that lines on both self scan and grocer check outs always seemed long no matter when you come. This is usually do to the fact their self scan machines never work and are shut down half the time or the store being incredibly short staffed. The staff has always been friendly to me, but this doesn't make up for the absolute headache it is trying to get what you're looking for and having to wait an eternity in the rare event you actually find it. They're very clearly understaffed and overworked. If you don't mind driving a minute or two more, there are several more groceries down the road that will offer a much better grocery shopping experience read more

I want to love Meijer, I really do. It's just every time I go there, I always want to get out as quickly as possible. Don't get me wrong, they have everything - grocery, gas, deli, frozen food, clothes, toys, shoes, a US Bank branch. It is just so big and difficult to navigate. Don't get stuck and need help, or you might be searching awhile for assistance as service is scattered throughout the store. I used to shop here, until the past 2 trips for pick-up after they did away with Shipt. The most recent trip I waited 30 minutes for my order to arrive. This was after sending multiple texts. They once again substituted regular Pepsi for Diet Pepsi, was charged for items that were missing, didn't even receive other items that were part of my order, and had to spend time cross checking my order and talking to corporate. Since remodeling, this location has definitely improved and is worth a visit if you're shopping in certain departments. They have a fantastic selection of beer and wine and recently added a huge liquor area. The pet department rivals other speciality stores in terms of selection and the home area (from small appliances to decor) is pretty good in terms of variety. My complaint is that they typically are understaffed in cashiers and the parking lot has way too much trash floating around. Additionally, the produce and meat departments are not the freshest but good enough if in a pinch. read more

This is one of the nicest Meijer stores I have seen. It is very clean and well-organized. It is easy to navigate through all the departments, which are clearly marked. I have shopped here many times because they have such a great selection of products and I know I will quickly find what I need. There are three large grocery stores within a mile of where I live. All three are equally convenient and carry the same assortment of food for the most part. Why then do I almost always find myself at Meijer? 1. They have the best produce by a mile. I don't know what sort of deal they needed to make with the devil to consistently have the best fruit and veggies around but they do. Avocados are the most fickle of all produce, in my opinion, and my luck with them here is nothing short of miraculous. At the other two groceries it's a rare day that I could find one that isn't green or over ripe. At Meijer, most of the time they are perfectly ripe and rarely bruised. 2. For my staple items, they are cheaper. Bread, butter, milk, eggs, produce, Chef Boyardee Pizza, meat, Frosted Mini-Wheats, taco seasoning, pasta. That is my grocery list practically every week and when I buy it from Meijer it tends to run about ten dollars cheaper. 3. The convenience of the rest of the store. Meijer is a one stop shop, so picking up a new set of blinds or a slow cooker is as easy as grabbing a gallon of milk. Everything you need is all in one place. read more

Why shop at this Meijer instead of the nearby Kroger or Giant Eagle? It all comes down to price. While meat and produce may be of slightly higher quality at the other stores, Meijer wins hands down on everything else. Why would I pay 2.29 for a can of Starkist Selects tuna when at Meijer the same can fluctuates between 1.54 and 1.79? The same is true for items all across the store. I often find myself visiting Giant Eagle just for the liquor store, and then making a separate stop at Meijer for my food. In addition to the groceries, Meijer is where I buy most of my toothpate/shaving/shampoo/deodorant type items. They are not as cheap as Wal-Mart; but a Wal-Mart worth shopping at doesn't really exist on the east side of Columbus...so Meijer is my go to. read more

The first time I went here after moving to the area, I was totally amazed!! It was like going to a Super Target on steroids!! Lots more "stuff", and a heck of a lot nicer store too!! This store has EVERYTHING!! Furniture, clothing, garden/plants etc., outdoor furnature & grills, kitchen, dishes, appliances, linnens and bedding, shoes, fish (for your fish tanks), hardware, sporting goods, electronics - like everything, kayaks... yes, Kayaks!, oh yeah, and they even sell groceries, yes, even groceries!! If you're looking for a true "one-stop shop", look no further. The original Midwestern superstore headquartered in Michigan, Meijer's is a place where you can easily get lost. When my wife first moved to Columbus, she visited Meijer's and spent over 6 hours shopping from one end of the store to the other. In her own words, "The sun was out when I arrived and it was pitch black outside when I had finished. What a trip!" Whatever you need from clothing to household goods to groceries, Meijer's has it all - well, just about. The prices are reasonable and the product selection is fair, but the customer service policies are what brings this review down from 4 stars to only 3. Their return policy can be compared to those of a fascist regime at times and if you're waiting for help at the self-checkout lines, be ready for a wait. The final strike is the cleanliness of this store. It's one of the first Meijer's stores in Columbus and could use some more remodeling and elbow grease among the cleaning staff. On a brighter note, Meijer's still trumps Walmart for me. I can't stand the mobs at Walmart, plus it's a lot farther away. If I can't find it at Kroger or ALDI, I'll gladly go to Meijer. read more

When my mom came to visit, I wanted to take her to this store. She had never been, and I know the pricing is a bit different than Walmart even though the store is a Walmart-esque sort of place. The good thing about this place is it's huge! They carry everything: groceries, tools, home improvement items, gardening items, clothes, shoes, jewelry, seriously, everything, even furniture and small appliances. Another good thing is they have almost every kind of fruit or vegetable or brand Of something you are looking for! But it can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. It's kinda like a Walmart and you can easily get lost if you're not careful. So that's kinda bad bc you can spend many hours and a whole lotta $$$ if you're not careful, especially since it's open 24 hours! There are bathrooms in the front and the back and they were pretty clean so that's a plus! I did the self check out and something got jammed and a very nice lady was right there to help, so no waiting and a very nice attitude! Every Time recently they have been out of a lot of the items I want to buy.this location is smaller than most. Probably because it was one of the first year around Gahanna. I am sure that it will get better, but I'm not looking forward to the rehab construction.I do not use the pharmacy because of the higher prices. The produce is usually okay, but nothing like a market. I do like that they have a US Bank here with extended week day and weekend hours. The café tables allow me to preview the shopping ads and coupons. Parking is abundant. Restrooms are generally up kept, but without anything special. read more

Been coming here for years and to think all our communities' money that go to this Meijer location, that come here day to day to get our necessities, can't even afford salt trucks or snowplows ??? They even sell bags of salt here!!!! Disgraceful. When my nana falls and breaks her hip in 4 different areas due to the lack of respect for people over the age of 40, not even to mention the finds of mine with walking canes due to the chemo. Not to mention the constant fight they fight each day. Salt your' parking lot!!!
