USDA certification is not a stamp of ethical breeding. It means a breeder is licensed under federal regulations for certain commercial animal activities. It does not mean their breeding practices are ethical, their dogs are properly health tested, or their puppies are being raised responsibly. Ethical, responsible dog breeders do not sell puppies through pet stores. They carefully screen potential homes, take responsibility for the dogs they produce, and want to know where their puppies end up. Selling puppies through a retail store removes that relationship and allows puppies to be purchased with little to no meaningful knowledge of their breeding background or future homes. Even looking at this store's own website, where are the documented health tests for the parents? Where is the evidence of responsible breeding practices? These puppies are being marketed as mixed breeds, and there is no meaningful transparency about the health testing and breeding decisions behind them. Being USDA licensed does not answer any of those questions. This is not responsible animal welfare, and it is certainly not a business practice I want to support. Puppy mills exist to produce puppies for profit, and a commercial license does not magically make that business model ethical. I cannot believe this mall considers selling puppies this way acceptable. I will no longer be shopping here, and I have already encouraged others to reconsider giving this mall their business, who have all agreed and were just as appalled. If this is the standard of animal welfare this mall is willing to stand behind, it does not deserve anyones money.

Used to be an…read moreindoor mall, with Micro Center at the end where Whole Foods is now (got my first PC there,) a bookstore, and I swear an Arthur Treacher's. Over the years it has changed into an outdoor mall, basically a fancy strip mall, with stores I am not much interested in. Too many clothes stores and salons. Around the edges are some cooler shops and restaurants. Parking is a hassle, lanes are too small, be very careful even at the edges of the main lot. I come once in a long while for Whole Foods, and the other day went to Tiki Botanicals, which I had never even noticed here, though we go to the GV location often. I'll be back someday.

I was always in awe of how beautiful the mall was. While the name has changed as well as many of the stores, it still has a lot of the same charm with the beautiful skylight and fountain. There's the Japanese culture end, with a gift shop, bakery, market, and high- and low-end restaurants. There's the Pepperidge Farm outlet store (we remember.) There's Penzey's spices, a cool store in a cool old building (former bank.) There's Xi Xia and Chilispot, authentic Chinese food. Pho Chef Vietnamese. VGet, not vegetarian, more an Asian cafe and bakery. And there are a few other shops and food places, like Mochi Ring donuts. Plus a Staples (a smaller one, formerly an Office Depot.) Across the street is Honey Dip donuts and Pacific Eatery, and CM Chicken, and more. An old-school walkable strip mall, in a U, plus the Japanese section off one corner with a courtyard and benches. You'll need a rest after trying to visit all the shops. Worth spending a nice afternoon shopping and eating.

A theater, bookstore, shopping, restaurants, within walking distance of the towers and stadium? Wow. I'm sure students take advantage of it nowadays (I bet they drive.) And it's right by Grandview and Upper Arlington, etc., so it's handy for many people. A bit out of my way now, but we still get over here once in awhile. After all, with a Target, Staples, and the aforementioned attractions, you can get a lot done here. The theater, of course, is a big draw. And there are a few restaurants, including Corelife, Champps, and Bravo at one end, with Zoup, and pizza and sandwich places, at the other. We go to this Target sometimes, and Staples. Once in awhile World Market. I keep forgetting there's a Barnes and Noble here. It's handy off the freeway, and one of the few malls in the heart of town. Parking is easy. It's a pretty generic mall, but hey, sometimes you need the stuff that's at those.

Open for more than a year now, this place is expanding, and becoming a center of Dublin/Plain City…read moreshopping. Anchored by Costco, with some fast food and some casual, plus shopping. Aldi, a bit more upscale than most, provides groceries. Marshall's and Home Goods have clothes and, well, home goods. There's a PetSmart, cellular store, nail place, etc. Wild Ginger looks to be opening soon, with Asian fusion. There's a Chase Bank that just opened. For food: Wendy's, Tim Horton's, Beer Barrel, and Bibibop round out your options. Fast or good, take your pick. Grab a bite, shop, and fill up (if you're a Costco member.) And be on your way. Watch out for the roundabouts. Another plus: this led them to finally put a stoplight in at Cosgray. This is handy for me on the way to work, and is right on 161 for anyone going to Plain City or the bustling metropolis of Kileville.
