The majority of my closet is consignment/second hand, so I have spent many hours in all of the…read moreconsignment stores around Columbus. This location buys and sells both men's and women's clothing. Each location buys based on the area, so what may sell well/buy well here, may not be what you will find in other locations. For example, you'll find many more high end items in Dublin than in Hilliard. You may find jeans here for around ~$15/pair. Shirts ~$10-14 each. SELLING: * when you sell, you will get $ the day that you sell your items. This is similar to Platos Closet/Clothes Mentor, but unlike many of the Grandview consignment stores where you don't get $ until the store sells your item. I prefer getting my $ up front, so I appreciate that here. * You get ~30% of what they will sell your item for here, whereas you will get up to ~50% of sell price at the Grandview consignments for example. * You can also get store credit instead of cash here. In that case, they give you 25% more. Note that each Uptown is individually owned, so you can only use that store credit at the specific store you sell. *On average, you really only get $4-5 per item you sell here. * The wait time for selling your clothes is typically only ~5-15 minutes, and you're required to stay in store as they sort through on your first visit selling. BUYING: * note that you if you do return something, you can only get store credit or exchange for something in stores. They will not refund you. *Overall, pretty average. I don't really find much here, but my style fits the Clothes Mentor/Dublin style typically.

Tried this place out today! They have a lot of good selection (Pink, Michael Kors, yoga pants,…read morejeans, etc.) They have clothes, shoes, bags and accessories. The clothes were pretty good prices. My only qualm is that the purses seemed a little expensive for "used". Other than that, customer service was super friendly and there was a lot of selection with a variety of styles to shop from.

About every two months I'd pop in for clearance because I still like their clothes. My last visit a few days ago was like night and day. An associate (I'd take a stab and say manager, maybe?) came out to see if I was ok and as the pile in my arms grew she came back around with a bag for me. I was very surprised, to say the least. The last few times I was in there I was completely ignored. The staff in general was more friendly - although when I paid cash it seemed to blow the cashier's mind. If there had been a change in management, it's a positive and long overdue change...

This is beyond ridiculous!! So old navy, gap, athletica, banana republic all pay a 3rd party company to jerk you around. I went as far as contacting old navy to make a complaint. While doing so I asked the gentlemen what kind of feedback I would receive- his response- oh management doesn't respond to customer's

I had traveled from out of town to pick up some unsold items on the last day of my contract. One dress in particular had a security sensor attached -- which signaled to me that they understood its value -- but when they removed the sensor, it sprayed ink all over the white fabric. Despite the damage, they offered me just $22 for the dress, which I later sold on Poshmark for $100 the same day I picked it up. When I voiced my concerns, I was encouraged to speak with someone at the front desk, but the response was dismissive -- simply stating it would be treated as a markdown sale. There was no accountability, and it was clear there would be no resolution. I didn't bother to fight the way they seemed happy to conduct business, as this was my first experience. It was a disappointing experience that showed a lack of care for consigned items at Second Chance. I've learned my lesson and will not be returning. I'd recommend sellers explore other platforms or shops that treat high-value pieces with more respect and offer fairer returns.

The ladies are very attentive and will do what they can to make your shopping experience pleasant and productive. The prices are higher than what I can afford these days, but some of the novel and creative items might get your attention and encourage a splurge. Try stopping in at the end of a season. I was lucky to. I found an entire corner of clothes market at $20. Everything was $20, regardless of the original price. I found a hand beaded, flapper style dress, originally marked at $188, now selling for $20. They don't have the storage space and it had to go...right into my happy little arms. It's a gorgeous dress. Most of the other styles are fairly conservative. Picture a news journalist. That would be the style of most. Everything is made to fit a woman's body, not a little girls. These cuts fit curves and allow for movement, without coming untucked or unbuttoned. This would be a good place to add to an interview outfit shopping trip.
