This Wal-Mart location is very familiar to me. They have improved a lot since I started shopping here four years ago. They have finally upgraded the self-service checkout registers, so I don't need attendat to help me every time I cash out. I noticed that several sections had been rearranged and looked nicer. I have a lot of grievances with this Walmart, but the dog poop right inside the Home and Pharmacy entrance really takes the cake today. Impossible to try on clothes; they lock the dressing rooms, but rarely ever have a worker actually working the clothing section. And every time there IS a worker in the clothing section, they don't have a key. They'll tell you they called someone, and you'll stand there for 20 minutes until you inevitably give up. Not to mention the time I got signed up for a Walmart + subscription without my consent. I went to customer service, and she told me "yeah, there was a day where all self checkouts accidentally signed up everyone who used them." Then, she directed me to a supervisor who could help we with a refund, and said supervisor told me, and I quote, "WELL AINT NOBODY GO ON YOIR PHONE AND SIGN YOU UP." As if a worker didn't literally just admit to me that Walmart self checkouts scammed me. She then ignored me for 15 minutes so I left and went to file a chargeback with my bank. And when I went to file that chargeback, the bank told me they had someone come in that morning for the same exact reason. So they don't take any accountability. read more

It's the worst Walmart I have ever shopped at, so I want to go into all the details, but if they would send out a survey, I would. I had to call myself at the sporting goods store on the phone. I just tried calling to order a specific item before driving there, and it sounded like a zoo while I waited for 10 minutes before hanging up. I had to call a person who worked next door to see if they even had the item, as they claimed. A total blunder, this place is a joke! absolute worst service I have ever experienced in my life! was holding my three year old who was bare footed so I couldn't put her down. I needed a sound machine. that was it. I went straight to them. they were locked in a case. during the twenty minute span of waiting, I asked six workers for help, I went to electronics and then finally a worker took me to customer service but the lady at customer service said she couldn't get to it even though she was not with a customer. never even got the single thing I came for. absolutely pitiful! read more

The worst experience ever! The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE WORLD provided by your employee named ELDA. I am a loyal Walmart customer. The location I usually go to is in Cartersville, GA, because I live there. I usually go at night after work. Today, January 25, 2026, I had a terrible experience during the night shift before closing. After making my purchase, I paid at the self-checkout, and a Hispanic woman named ELDA approached me to check if I had paid for all the products. After checking, she confirmed that my payment was correct. When I proceeded with my second purchase, she stayed behind me, watching me in a harassing way, as if I were committing a crime. I politely asked her, "Please, could you move? I feel uncomfortable." She replied, "Do you have something to hide?" Her attitude was rude, offensive, and disrespectful. When I paid for my second purchase, I asked her, "Please, help me print the receipt," and she replied, "That's not my job." I asked her, "What is your job then? Isn't it to help customers?" She replied, "No, my job is to watch you." After that response, I felt truly bewildered and violated, since I hadn't done anything wrong. I went to customer service and filed a complaint. They told me they would escalate the complaint to the night shift supervisor and that I wasn't the only person to complain about ELDA's mistreatment of customers. Walmart should hire qualified, respectful, and friendly staff, as customers deserve fair, respectful, and kind treatment, not to feel attacked, questioned, and disrespected without reason. I have never had such an unpleasant experience at any Walmart, and I will switch to Kroger and Publix, even though their prices are higher, because their customer service is EXCELLENT. The self check outs by pharmacy is down to three working ones. There is always a problem with them working correctly. The staff that work the self check out is not very friendly. The grocery part do stay stocked and it's very easy to find what you are looking for. If you make jewelry they don't have a lot to choose from with beads. They closed down the tire shop which made no sense and such an inconvenience. read more

This was my first time ever in this Walmart. If I had to guess I bet I have been in at least 100 different Walmarts in the country. When I go on vacation like I did this weekend, we find a Walmart to shop at. The only thing that keeps this Walmart from 5 stars is that there are way to many outs in this store. There were some messy areas too that Walmart associates need to straighten up. The customer service was above average during our visit. It's located off I 75 at exit 290. Then drive not even 2 miles from Interstate to get to it. It's in a shopping center with several other stores. I saw one Chinese restaurant within walking distance from Walmart. read more

I really try NOT to have to go to this particular Walmart. Every visit I get that much more frustrated. I go in late yesterday evening to grab a few things and at 36 minutes before closing the clerk starts the count down for the store closing. Please stop. This puts people in panic mode making them stay longer! I was trying to get the rest of the items I needed quickly only to find every isle in the grocery section blocked by merchandise to be restocked on the shelves. And instead of workers trying to move the stock or help find what I needed, they're "busy" on their phones and when you go towards them like you're going to ask a question they suddenly get "busy" and turn away so you don't ask them anything or have earbuds in listening to whatever and actually have to remove the earbuds to hear a customer ask them something. #1 this is a safety issue within the store -having blocked isles and having to the entire distance of that side of the store before you can get through to exit. #2 at my job we don't allow music and earbuds just for the reasons mentioned above. It's distracting as well as a safety hazard. # 3 if you're already closing at 11pm instead of remaining open 24h as advertised. You have another 12 hours to restock the store before opening again. Nice materials then and NOT at closing time when patrons are trying to finish up. #4 don't rant and rave about people staying in the store when you have a total of 3-4 check out lines and 1 person monitoring those and have workers just standing there gawking when they could open a register. Every time I try to do online ordering to save me from having to go into the store, there are never any available appt slots. Yet when I get to the store every spot reserved for these pickups is completely empty EVERY DAY! EVERYTIME!!!!either cancel The pickup service and open parking spots or use the service! This walmart is strange. I see some strange looking people here. There was a person digging thru the dvd bargain bin and drool was pouring out of their mouth. Young healthy looking people using the little mechanical shopping cart thing that you drive (because they were too lazy to walk?). Maybe this is every walmart. The employees seem nice enough but why is there only 2 or 3 registers open with long ass lines? I think they are eventually gonna get rid of the cashiers because it looks like they want us to use the self checkout. Update: 10/4/17 It looks like they finally finished the remodel. So often when you read reviews you will find gripes and complaints abound. While I have a few "corrections" I would suggest to this store, as a new resident in Cartersville, I would say overall this is a nice store. Located at the end of a Shopping center, this is a large Supercenter. First a little about me. I am a full time wheelchair user. I drive and do most things on my own. For heavier things I need a little assistance and that was the case today. I approached the Customer Service Center and of course forgetting this was three days before Christmas, there was a line. The personnel at the counter never faltered in the way they treated customers in the line, even though I know they get frustrated this time of year. I advised the lady of my situation, needing to return a shelf. She immediately found me someone to go to the car and retrieve the shelf for me. She inspected and returned the broken item and gave me a gift card for the cost of the item as I had to make additional purchases in the store. I went to the home dept and got a new shelf and an additional two large items located. I mentioned to an employee that I wanted to make that purchase and she went and got a cart and followed me to the department. She loaded the items and accompanied me to the registers where she got a cashier to check me out without waiting in line and took the three heavier items to my car. Once they were loaded I went back in and did my regular shopping. As a handicapped individual, its very appreciative to receive this sort of service. Now for the one drawback to this location. While I fully understand the substantial cost savings that "self check" registers provide for a company, there is no need to have 20 of these and 2 live cashiers during the busiest portion of the day. If the customer is going to do the job of the cashier perhaps there should be a discount, since we are checking and bagging the goods we are purchasing. Got about 80 dollars worth of groceries. Halfway through checking out the registers went down. I was at self check out because this is Cartersville walmart.. they only have 2 check out lines open... because that's how they operate.. crappy.. anyway when the registers went down all the idiots that work there scattered and disappeared leaving one old fella there to apologize for the manager's incompetence. Absolutely pitiful. Worst walmart in the world. It wouldn't be so bad if they got rid of the employees that suck. (The jerks).. and hire some people that actually have a personality. Not sure if there's a hiring freeze, too many called in, or what but this is all the time. The wait time to check out is always extremely long & although they're remodeling im not sure if that will help. Take a trip to Walmart Cobb pkwy & model after those stores. I'd give these assholes zero stars of I could. Driving down from central Kentucky to surprise our daughter and granddaughter for Christmas at Robins AFB. We checked the listed closing times to make sure we timed it just right so we could buy a Christmas ham, along with everything that goes with it, and didn't have the meat in the car for too long. They showed closing time as 6:00PM, but when we arrived at 5:30, a half hour before that, they had someone outside each door keeping anyone else from entering. No Christmas meal this year. If you're going to post your closing time on the internet, you need to allow people to enter the store up until that time. I'll definitely be doing less business with Walmart from now on.
