This is the worst Walmart EVER! It is disgusting, the employees are beyond rude, and even the customers are rude. You have to wait in line for at least an hour because they never seem to have more than two registers open (and about 20 employees standing around). They keep the cigarettes in the express lane. So if you have more than 10 items, you have to wait in a regular line, then go back and wait in the express lane. I've been there a couple of times in a pinch and every time I am there I leave there I swear I will never go back because I am in a fowl mood and my blood pressure is through the roof. Staff is very poorly trained. Store (chain) sells very low quality merchandise. Be very vigilant with your receipts and don't trust the staff if they tell you you don't need a new one when making an exchange. When I subsequently tried to return the defective item I had received in exchange for the original defective item, they informed me that the original had been marked as "returned" and that they could do nothing for me, telling me that the burden of proof is on the customer. They further informed me that my warranty that I had ordered through Walmart would also be of no help for the same reason. The tone of the assistant manager was also very denigrating. read more

OK so here's the deal about this Walmart....It's not a pretty, Superstore. Its not a modern store. But I realy don't think it's as bad as people hv said and they do hv good proces. At least , that has not been my experience. I'm from Florida where most Walmart's are Supestores. So coming to Suffern NY was a bit of a shock. BUT, I hv never had a bad experience there. Nor hv I ever encountered an employee who had a bad attitude OR was unwilling to help or point me in the right direction. As a result, I put a TV on layway there [which was the only I could afford it] and looking forward to picking it up in 2 weeks. The Asst Mgr, Tyrone and employee Matthew work very hard there are are trying to turn the store around with other team members. This Walmart sucks. The customer service is absolutely atrocious. If you have to go here the best day to go is Saturday.

There are no Walmart greeters here...if there were they'd have to say "welcome to aggravation...". Mostly foreign employees have an attitude unless helping each other out on the employee purchase line. No one stops "special interest" buyers from getting on "20 item" lines with 30-40+ items, or their annoying kids who are allowed to run rampant and touch/move EVERYTHING. Then on Fri/Sat when they're not there, there are 2 checkout lines open....you just cant win. AVOID unless you have a klonopin handy. read more

I think this walmart is alright, it's not Macy's we are here for the cheap products. If you got paid what they paid up too would be less than helpful. Pay elmployees more, get more quality employees. I just picked up a planter for Mother's Day for $12. read more

i visited this walmart in suffern due to the white plains location closing under mysterious unknown reasons . i usually don't venture to this part of upstate new york but it's walmart and i need a few things for the crib . the plus is that it's not as drabby as the closed white plains spot and the aisles are bigger and wider here with fully stocked shelves and more selections which includes a grocery section that has plenty of stuff at prices you can live with . plenty of open cashier lanes which means shorter lines but my problem here is the same issue i had at the white plains spot , the workers are useless and lazy slugs who really don't give a crap about proper customer service . i was checking out a small table that is perfect to position next to any lazy boy recliner for less then 80 bucks but i could not find a soul to get me one new in a box but when i finally got some help the gal never came back after she told me she would check but i ain't mad at her cause she was a stunner (yeah i am shallow ). finally a brotha did me a solid and got me the box (table )which was heavy as hell but mr joshua carted it out to the giant parking lot right into the car and i handed bro a jackson which he gladly accepted and deserved .yes i checked out the many bad reviews but if you can avoid asking for help unless you really need it then i don't mind this walmart in suffern . i still have a feeling that walmart will open up on central ave near the alamo movie theater which has plenty of parking spaces and room for a walmart super store cause we need one in the westchester area . read more

Well folks I just wanna wish you all a Happy Thanfsgiving as I back the rental Taurus into a tight spot for about the 5th try. Decider it was finally a good year to have a big feast with the boys and wife. It was a little busy inside for some reason. I grabbed a broken cart and waltzed around Wal Marf. First thing on the list was turkey. Went straight for the dairy section and got a whole mess of container of Oscar Mayer thin sliced smoke Turk. Fams gonna love it. They started to bump Spin Doctors up in the store and everyone around me started to clap in sync until people were walking by and staring. Upon taking a real quick selfie with those old men my left foot caught a spilled puddle of Tang and instantly shoved forward smashing my knee on a lead pipe. I let out a huge wail and flung myself on the floor. The entire aisle of shelves all lost their balance sent Pringles cans shooting across the men's section making a damn mess. All those 2 liters of Mountain Lightning spilled all me. I was a sticky yellow mess. The medical staff came over and sat me down and made sure I wasn't concussed which I def was. Decided I wouldn't listen to the Wal Mart nurse and do some more holiday shopping. Whats thanksgivings without a huge pile of eggs so had to cop some great value eggs...8 dozen. For dessert I'm feeding them some marshmellows. Also grabbed some pinto beans and cottage cheese. Well I guess it's time to leave since I think I've been here for about 6 quick hours. The cash lady had a lot of spunk and even dabbed up some of my chin blood. She also said she had the same Hot 97 summer jam tee. Had a mad old man carry out my Groceries and didn't tip him cause he smelled awful. I got in the Taurus and put it in reverse. Instantly fell asleep while I was concussed and my foot slammed on the gas. I woke up in the hospital and the fam and I had some cafeteria snacks. This Walmart is HORRIBLE. The fitting room area is blocked by literary 10-15 shopping carts full of clothes. I'm sure that's no fault of the employees, but the people who are slobs. You try it on, please put it back on the rack, not on the floor. Shelves are not organized, again, most likely caused by shoppers. The employees I'm sure have a difficult time trying to keep order at this location. The self checkout line I say had about 30 people waiting. Only two registers open, and they had about 20 people on each line waiting to pay. Not sure if staff was reduced, but total mayhem. Customers looked dazed. I don't shop here often, because the store has a unorganized look and feel to it. I suggest management proper staff, if the budget allows. I also wish the people who shop at this location, take better care of it. Please don't leave what you don't want on the floors/shelves, please return it where it belongs. Unfortunately I had to return the items I intended to purchase. Maybe on my next visit, my experience will improve. read more

I only go here in an emergency. narrow aisles,long check outs, creepy people all over the place. If you must go make sure you have hand sanitizer in your car and when you get home take a long shower with plenty of soap. read more

This place sucks! Customer service is horrendous. I called two times and both times I wasn't assisted and had to end the call myself. Drove all the way to Walmart and ended up receiving rude and unnecessary comments. I recommend this place if you want to leave upset or angry. read more

While the store is small for your typical Walmart , you can't beat the prices. I have encountered minor problems along the way, but the customer service and store managers were always so helpful . ( they gave me a $25 gift card because they couldn't find an item, but did retrieve it a half hour later) I recently purchased a new bbq grill and bought it unassembled. That was a mistake when I opened the box, there were tons of parts and I was lost. I went back and spoke to the store manager (Admir, not sure of spelling, sorry) and a polite young man named Josh. They immediately solved my problem and although they were not obligated to assemble it, they did. I picked up the new grill fully and perfectly assembled. They took my number and called me the next day and told me to bring it in and when it was ready. I spoke to several of the managers along the way and they were all so helpful. So while there are drawbacks to the size/location, at least the customer service was superb! read more

Nothing but lazy, rude, and stupid employees. Everyone just walks around, and if you ask them for help they act like they don't know anything, when they are just acting lazy. They show no effort in helping customers either. The hestidics flood the place and don't know how to drive with their mini vans! The store is dirty and disorganized. The food is old and dusty. If this wasn't the only Walmart in town then I would definitely go somewhere better. read more

i cant even give this store a star. i was calling and calling; letting the telephone ring and ring until a machine picked up.....are you people kidding? the telephone rang for minutes and then the machine kept me on hold you just have the worst, worst customer service. i gather it is just so people buy and never come back. the store itself is awful to look at; it isnt from this century. just so you know customer service finally picked up, rude as rude could be your company should be ashamed of themselves. i cant imagine that you would have more than one walmart this horriffic read more

this place is old and dumpy i dropped pictures off there a month ago to get printed and they never called i came by one day and they said they had no record of my pictures the guy at the picture center barley spoke english but he started to get pissed off at me than he went off to a meeting and i heard them cheering w-a-l-m-a-r-t i was so angry that they had a customer waiting and they were cheering the guy started to look around the photo center and started clicking randomly at the computer he told me there was nothing he could do and kept saying he would look but he just started looking at random stuff he told me to find the manager but then he told me he wasnt there even though he passed by 5 minutes ago then he told me that when i was there a month ago that he said they would be ready in week even though they told me it would be at least two weeks but besides that he told me earlier that he didnt remember me so he was trying to cover his tracks finally i went to the extremely long customer service line but after 5 minutes of waiting the manger saw me and came over to me and we went back to the photo center and then said they would look around and if they didnt find the pictures they would give me a 20 gift card for each camera i gave in which was two i told him to write it down because i knew if i came back tomorow they would say that he never said that so basiclly the store service sucks and target is so much better the original guy at the photo center had such a thick accent and barley spoke english and was inept at doing anything but the manager was ok at best read more
