Fraudulent and trickery. I purchased a tv via your Black Friday sale on 11/10. I received an email from Walmart stating it would arrive on 11/22. I was informed this morning, 11/22-the date for delivery- that it will arrive on 12/7. My thanksgiving hosting is awash and this is poor customer service. I could have picked it up at the store. Now I lose the discounted price and will not be able to have a tv in time. I have spoken with your customer service as well as the outside delivery vendor and no logical resolve has been presented. I feel this was a bait and switch tactic. I was supposed to receive a third callback within 15 mins and it appears that's not going to happen. Now I'm being ignored because I want Walmart to honor its commitment to on time delivery. I have not even be offered an in store pick up which future supports that the tv is not available and wasn't available when I ordered it. I have now invested two hours for nothing. Beware of Stephanie on 20 items or less.. she will call you "sweetie" condescendingly, yell at you for having 23 items (after you apologize 3xs) roll her eyes and huff at you and continue to make little comments while you're leaving. Granted I had 3 more items but I apologized and they only had two other cashiers open and I have a sick baby to get home to. No excuse but I honestly didn't realize I had more than 20. Ordered some merchandise from their website and choose the store pickup option at the location in Suffern, as I figured they had it in stock and all I had to do was go there and pick it up. I chose this location b/c I have family in Rockland so I'm up there anyway on weekends and figured it would be less busy than White Plains. Website confirmation said the order had to be "processed" and would be ready by evening. Evening came and no confirmation email. I called and got a disinterested employee with limited manners/human interaction experience who said it would be ready by tomorrow morning. Tomorrow morning came and went and still no confirmation email. Called the store and phone just rang, no one picked up. At this point I just cancelled the order from online, which the status was STILL "processing" and went to the one in White Plains, which is closer to me anyway, and got what I needed even though that one has crazy long slow lines too. Very small and tight isles extremely overcrowded at 10:30 at night, and rude employees that don't care about the customers have bad attitudes, and most of the isles was messy- carts all over the place and very disorganized with mixed up isles and looks like a wind storm just messed up the place, it's disgusting!! If I could give no stars, I would choose that. This was the second chance I've given this Walmart. First time was an awful experience getting help and trying to buy a gift card. This time, just confirms I will never be going back. I recently had a newborn baby and was gifted many boxes of diapers right before this pandemic began. I made the mistake of thinking Walmart would just let me exchange the boxes for a bigger size as they were purchased from there. Boy was I wrong. Not only did we wait in line holding these big boxes of diapers in the cold, but the woman letting people in the store screamed at us saying no returns were allowed. So I put the diapers back in my trunk and had to go back in the line to wait again to get in the store. Once inside, the store was disgustingly dirty and unkempt. There was one employee who was being so kind asking everyone if they needed help finding anything. There were way to many people inside to be keeping the 6 feet apart for social distancing. Then when we went to checkout an employee guided us to the line which was very unclear where it began, only to get to the front and be screamed at yet again that we were in the wrong line and had way too many items. Okay, fine but please tell us where we need to go. Oh you need to go to a register... well once we finally made it to said register, our cashier was sweet, which made it a little less aggravating. It was an overall stressful experience. I am a nurse working on the front lines and it was the last thing I needed to experience such nastiness. Imagine a nurse got frustrated with the patient for having covid 19 and needing to be in the hospital... Needless to say, that was my last visit to this Walmart. read more

Well, it's been a delight with the Walmart employees and when I couldn't find something the department manager helped. I've been to many Walmart's...price is great...staff are helpful....and they will go out of their way to find you the right things you need when you ask for assistance. I find it refreshing to know that since staff introduced themselves and said their name and I thanked them for helping and said my name....they remembered my name and greet me good morning followed by my name on the next visit when I went back to the same department. I'm not one who usually goes to social media when I have a complaint. But I feel that I need to share this. I purchased a rather expensive item from Walmart.com. When I received it, I decided to return it, unopened. I saw on the website that I could return it to a local store, so off to Walmart, Suffern I went. When I got there, box unopened, and receipt in hand. They opened the item, telling me it was policy. The item, apparently had been shipped by a third party (Pro Electronics). I didn't realize this, though, that was my mistake. In any case, Walmart in Airmont is shipping the item back for me. Had I known this, I would have done it myself. They handed me a receipt showing that I would get a refund, less $60.00. When I questioned this, the answer I got was a shrug. When I asked for the item back, they said they had already processed the return. Finally they gave me a number to call. I did call, only to be told that there was a 20 percent restocking fee because the item had been opened.. When I explained that I didn't open it, that Walmart did, they said take it up with the local store. I am beyond frustrated. Lesson learned, the hard way. Suffern Walmart is the worst. Any time you go there, the lines are long. This past Friday I went there and waited on the for almost a half hr. Then as I got to the cashier there was a mix up with the 2 customers ahead of me. There was no manager in sight to help the cashier. To top it off on a Friday evening they only had 2 regular registers and 2 express registers open. I tried calling on the phone while standing on line numerous times and never got and answer. Worst pharmacy! Although they're prices are cheap, their service is horrible. I sent on a prescription on Monday, called on Tuesday to ask if it's ready. They said it not in stock but will have it the next day after 4. I came in Thursday and it wasn't ready. They said next day. I came in next day they tell me after four, I came after four they said it's not ready, they don't have it in stock. The employees at this store try their best. The issue with this store a d I would rate it a poor Wal-Mart is the fact that they often get overwhelmingly large groups of people shopping on any given day. The lines are way too long and stock is not replenished quickly enough, again not the employees fault. I blame Wal-Mart corporate for the shortcoming of this store. It is an insult to the Wal-Mart name and their other locations that offer vast inventory and a much more pleasant shopping experience. I have a love/hate relationship with this place. It annoys me but I will keep coming back because where else would you get better "deals?" The employees will help you if you're looking for "general" things like candy, so they'll show you where the candy is, or lotion then they'll show you where the lotions are. But if you're looking for anything specific, they are of absolutely NO help. This is the second time I needed something in auto/sporting goods and I waited more than 30 minutes to finally get someone to make me two copies of keys. A 30+ minute wait for a 2 minute job. Excellent. I must really have awesome patience, right? And don't get me started on the lines. Walmart, what's the point of having a bunch of registers that are never open except maybe two (or three on a good day)? And then you have the employees who just look like they hate their job and they look so annoyed whenever you ask them for something. But what can we expect from a place like... Walmart, right? I only like Walmart because they sell cheap candy and cheap supplies like pencils, pens, etc. But as far as customer service, they suck so bad. Worst customer service! Before I went I wasn't sure what time they closed, so I called. The phone probably rang about 20 times before I just gave up. I knew they were open at the time and I knew no one would answer because that just how that Walmart works. Cashiers are rude, stock people are rude and of zero help. If you need any assistance or guidence don't even bother asking. God forbid you want some paint mixed. The store itself if filthy, the bathrooms are horrendous, you feel like you need to swim in a bottle of disinfectant after coming out. It's just not a nice place to shop. I don't usually shop at Walmarts, for good reason, but when i do, i do like to go to ones that are at least somewhat at par with "normal" stores. This store isn't one of those. I am almost certain that the employees here are sub human, or are working there as part of a town sponsored program for the mentally challenged. The store is a mess and out of inventory on items that you'd expect to find even in a 7 eleven or a dollar store. I stopped by to buy some packing tape, and after rounding the aisles (because i couldn't find them in this madness they call a Walmart) i decided to ask an employee. He was working at the fishing/tackle area with his back to me doing something, and when i said "excuse me" he said, "No, no... no! Wait... what, okay... yes." I can only guess that he was concentrating on something and my voice interrupted his train of thought; so at first he was angry and distraught, and remembered that he worked there, and as per Walmart's employee manual, have to help customers that ask for help, like me. He turned around, gathered himself and asked how he could help me. I asked him where i can find packing tape. With Rain Man like speed he said "Aisle E12" (i dunno what aisle it was) pointing way back yonder over my left shoulder with enthusiasm. Thanks, i said and proceeded to walk to where he was pointing. Turned out that this area was actually behind and to the right of the fish and tackle area, opposite of where Rain Man told me it was. Basically, he knew where it was located on paper, but lacked the sense of direction relative to the store. Anyways, got me the tape and proceeded to the long lines where it crawls because every cashier wants to know what you've been doing lately even though you don't know each other. Quite literally, if you hand them a credit card they will comment on what a nice card it is, what's the benefit, and if someone they knew had a credit card (not like yours but just a credit card) they think you guys can be bffs. Only go to this store (and most Walmarts in general) if you have absolutely no other choice and someone's life is in danger. read more

Don't shop here. The customers are worse than some employees and one guy comes every week to buy 30+ shopping carts. Honestly it's better to drive the half hour to Monroe. Friday nights or daytime Saturday are best times to come because more of the typical traffic is not around. There's few employees that help and once you know who they are, it's easy to make friends with them if you're a regular and need help often. Once you're on the good side of the pleasant employee, they don't mind guiding you to things throughout the store. read more

I went to the Walmart in Suffern for the first time in a very long time. What a disaster. The store is the worst I've ever seen it. It's always been dirty but it's absolutely filthy. The floors are black! I was looking for something that the app says it is in a specific aisle, E11. Which the app says is sports and outdoors, which makes no sense because I was looking for a skin cream. But there is no aisle e11! There's G & F only in the beauty and sports aisles! The store was a mess not all of the aisles were labeled. Some had a Walmart sign saying Aisle number some had a sticker with a marker writing aisle number and some weren't labeled at all! This location is really falling apart. I won't be shopping there again. read more

Very dissappointed with the customer service - I called about a damaged bed I received and was told they are out of tock so cannot replace the damaged piece but would refund and collect. I explained I was not able to repackage as the packaging had to be completely cut to open the boxes (it was all taped around) and the lady reaasured me not too worry ups would bring the material and package it. Ok I called for a collection and lo and behold the UPS guy comes and tell me they can only take goods which are boxed and sealed - he understood that it was a tad difficult to find a box for a bed! OK emailed walmart and received an automated reply with a link of how to arrange a return - I emailed back and forth 5-6 times explaining I cant package the thing and same robotic replies. Finally I speak to someoneonthe phone who says so sorry that you were told that but you have to package it. I asked her how? where can I get boxes that size she says I dont know am so sorry. I spent hours and hours with this bed trying to fix it s we could just use it but its not possible to assemble - even tried crazy glue! I could not find a box anywhere that would fit so I have ended up having t keep the pieces of bed - still cant decide what to with it and paid for something useless! The only reason this place is still open is their prices. The customer service is the worst ever. The employees never seem to have an answer for you and the lines are ALWAYS long because there's maybe 2-3 registers open and 1 person at customers service handling 30 customers.
