Went here today with a friend who I was visiting in Hillsdale. I made out like a bandit. Clearance Rack. Bought 5 mix and match items for less than 90.00 I Got to the check out and was impressed with the counter help and their speed, Line wasnt that long but, my little one had go. If you know what I mean. Anyway overall experience was good and the DEALS were GREAT. I'm Happy. My little not so, but we took the kids for Pizza in the strip and she was much better. This location is just ok. I didn't see 'The Runway" here so the items are not as good as some of the other locations. I bought a couple of tops and a charging unit where you can plug 3 items in it- Apple Watch, phone and another gadget -that is great for traveling. We also were able to buy a pickleball racket for $12 which normally retails for $50. It's good to have as a spare for a visitor.It is close to some other stores as well but I would go to another locale. They also do not give the Senior Discount on Mondays (10%) at this location. When I asked why not, they had no idea. They even asked the manager and she didn't have an answer for me. read more

This TJ Maxx location is one of my favorites. The store is always very clean and organized, with new items frequently circulating. Even when it's busy, the cashiers move quickly to get everyone through. I rarely visit the store without purchasing something, they also have one of the better jewelry selections out of other locations. read more

Mary was fantastic! She helped me find the right clothes to buy when my friend was unable to get out of the car due to smartphone addiction. I was able to complete my entire wardrobe and kitchen needs for under $190 thanks to Mary (manager?). I'm Tjmax customer for years. usually I have a good expirance but this time I was difrent. Jewlery dep. a menager Barbara was extremely not pleasant, didn't want to help me, I know she could but simply didn't want to do it. It was return, unuse item return policy has been changed to 30 days, i didnt know that. im not going back there and I discourage you to go. there are many other branches with an excellent customer service. read more

I was purchasing an item with my cousin yestudsay at tj maxx in Westwood. She wanted a pair of pants but there was a tiny stain on them. We walked up to the cashier and we asked if she can do anything about it (try take it out or give a discount) since the item had something wrong and she said no. Keep in mind this cashier was actually the manager and she did not try to fix the situation at all. She was rude and unprofessional. Her mannerism toward us was disgusting and no manager should talk to their costumers like this. Furthermore, my cousin was leaning on the check out desk and the cashier said "can you not lean on my desk go outside if you want to do that". When she said this I was shocked and didn't know how she got this job. Very rude and I hope someone speaks to her and she gets fired. read more

The negative reviews here really reek of obnoxious self entitlement. Yikes. This particular location is above average imho. The associates are friendly. The selection is great (which can be good or bad depending on how much self control you have) and everything is usually very tidy and organized. Will there be a line sometimes? Sure! I've almost never been to a TJ Maxx, Home Goods or Marshall's that did not have a line! If this bothers you, consider not going on a Saturday afternoon where pretty much every large retailer in Bergen county is packed because of their blue laws. Bathrooms are always very clean too. One of the good TJ Maxx's out there. They have everything you need: dress for work, baby clothes, toys, make up, shoes, kitchen items, you name it... I always find something worth buying here whether for me or my family. They can increase their merchandise. I think that would help the store greatly. Staff is friendly and helpful. read more

I tried to return an item to TJ Maxx in Westwood which had been purchased at TJ Maxx in Paramus, the item a travel kit, was missing a bag. I had my receipt, but was told I would have to return it to the Paramus store. I pointed out that they were both TJ Maxx and that Westwood should accept the return. The very rude clerk told me it was my fault for shopping in two different stores!!!! She also said that just because I reported the piece was missing ...it was only my word and basically she called me a liar. The store is a mess and the people that work there are rude, I know its a discount shop, but that's no excuse for poor customer service. I will not be returning. ...ever. The Westwood TJ Maxx is one of my favorites. It's smaller and never as crowded, so whenever I have something particular in mind, I can go in and out without wasting time. This store has a nicely curated selection of items and I almost always find something nice here. Only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because, on the flip side, the selection is not as varied as the larger TJ Maxx stores. But, if you know what you're looking for - this is the place to go. read more

Better than expected for your local neighborhood TJ Maxx. Smaller than many other locations, however they seem to have quality items and many good finds considering the size and location. I came because I found a gift card laying around my house and never actually been here until now. Pretty standard place, got some clearance racks some kitchen stuff and some clothes. Def a place for early bird dinner people but I saw some people my age too. The clearance rack had some great stuff on it and I ended up buying a pretty great travel shaver for eight dollars along with a new pot for the kitchen. The people working here are a little strange though so go in knowing what you want exactly, or just wander around like I did! read more

I use to love shopping here up until the past month. The associates and managers are truly helpful and friendly EXCEPT for one manager named "Barbara". She's extremely rude in her manner of speaking to both associates and customers! She treats others like they are beneath her.
