Bought a pair of pants from here and less than 2 weeks of owning them they were damaged after one wash. When I went to return them I did not anticipate the issues they were going to give me. They do not accept "damaged items" and will only "repair" the item. First of all, the tassel that fell off my pants disintegrated in the washer machine, and why would I want to own something that needs to be repaired after being worn/ washed once? They ended up giving me store credit even though the girl gave me issues about the whole problem. Overall, I will not shop here ever again. read more

I gave this store a 3 because despite having some quality items, I can no longer look past the uncomfortable feeling I get each time I am shopping at this store. I live in the area and have been shopping at this store for years, multiple times each year. Despite this fact and recognizing the same 40-50 y/o saleswomen, I constantly feel like I am being followed and watched like a hawk. I have been here with family members and friends who have felt the same way. On my most recent visit the saleswomen was unfriendly and quite literally standing so close to me that she was in my way while I was trying to look around the shoe display. While ginger n cream is more convenient for me, I would rather make the trip to nordstrom or bloomingdale's than feel uncomfortable while shopping. read more

Hey outshines and bullying tactics to get me to spend more $$$ backfired and I had to leave the store early because she was harassing me. I came to purchase an item with a gift certificate that I was recently gifted. As soon as I walked in I felt immediate discomfort. The saleswomen are judgey and give cold looks. After that, I decided to walk upstairs and not even 30 seconds later, I was followed up. I knew exactly what she was trying to do... As soon as I went back downstairs, she followed. I find it completely insulting that they assumed I was going to steal something. If you're that concerned with people stealing I'd recommend putting cameras. You'd think with as many terrible reviews criticizing their salespeople, they would work on their behavior towards costumers. Clearly not... Getting the right outfit for my daughter was an archeological dig. This place was our first stop and after hitting a few more stores, we returned. Why? Because of the sales help. Diana and another lovely associate showed genuine concern working with my frustrated daughter. After many items being tried on, finally a great result. We live over 2,000 miles away in Ca and I can't find a store with so much fun and in trend stuff in one store. Love this store! Clothes are always on point, great selection and SUPER helpful sales associates. My daughter (17) has purchased 2 semi-formal dresses; shoes, tops and jeans. I've gotten sweaters, gifts, accessories, teacher presents. Their Instagram posts are perfectly timed with the season and are really inspiring. Been to this store twice. Once 3 years ago and now just this month, and both those times I found the staff to be EXTREMELY OBNOXIOUS and RUDE. They just stare at you once you walk in and look you over. I felt like I was being followed into every part of the store. I almost bought a pair of shoes there but then I witnessed the manager of the store completely and abruptly walk into into my friend and when my friend turned around to say excuse me the manager kept walking.... we were both appalled. Not going to buy from a place that allows that behavior. Retail 101 always treat the customers with RESPECT, the staff here obviously didn't get that memo. read more

I have been shopping in these stores for many years. They generally do not like people who come in to look and they are not subtle about letting you know. They follow you around the stores like you are a criminal. I can not imagine how they treat minorities. Sales help is definitely pushy and I have seen some very rude eye rolling and face making on the faces of younger sales help. I often love the items I buy here. The prices are high. However you can find things you may not have seen elsewhere. Only shop here with people you know you shop well with, or shop alone. If you are with the wrong person you will not give the stores the time they need. Also, bring money. I now live 30 miles from here but still come in 3 or 4 times a year. There will definitely, with out question, be something you want to buy. Shoe selection is great. I would likely come more often and spend a lot more money if the place didn't make me so damn uncomfortable. I am sensitive about about the feel of a store and boutique shopping is our thing but even my 18 year old daughter, who doesn't care about anyone, finds this place annoying enough that I have trouble getting her to go. read more

My 20 year old sister visited this store yesterday afternoon looking for a dress to wear to a wedding. My mother, a size 14 got her dress at this store last week. My sister is a size 12. We were walking through looking at dresses, and a salesperson came up to her and said they didn't have anything in the store that would fit her. She continued to say her chest was way too big (she's a D), and she needed to go to a bridesmaid store so that they could make alterations to better suit her. My sister came home in tears. Today was my first experience in ginger n cream and it was down right awful. The older lady running the store was EXTREMELY RUDE. First I walk into the store and there was no one to be found. Finally the woman walks out from the back not even saying hello and staring at me like I had 10 heads. I asked for help of a black tee shirt to go with a denim jacket and her response was "they're all over the store" rolling her eyes. I kindly responded that I needed the help because I was looking for a specific kind of tee shirt. Finally helping me and giving me options that I did like and wanted to buy, I walked around the store browsing also thinking about how poorly I was mistreated. I decided to put everything back and leave. I still thanked the woman for her help and the only thing she had to say to me was if I put the shirts back in a very rude tone again. Worst experience ever. You can get the same brands at much friendlier stores in Bergen county like Suite 201 and Hazel boutique. read more

Love Love Love this store. I don't think I have ever left without buying something. Even if it was just an accessory. They have expanded the area to include a "shoe - room" with additional fitting rooms. My only complaints are that the sales associates literally stalk you, to the point that I would rather avoid this boutique at all costs during the week, while they are not busy. Being helpful is one thing, breathing down your neck is another. AND the return policy - 3 days for returns and 7 days for exchanges is brutal. At least do 7 days for returns for the customer's who can't make it during the week. read more

My one and only time there was not a good one. My mom loves this store so I wanted to get a gift card for her. It was my first time actually going there but after hearing rave reviews I was looking forward to seeing it. I was very disappointed. One sales associate coldly asked me if I needed help and when I told her I wanted to buy a gift card she was still rude. At the register waiting to be helped I felt I was looked over. It didn't feel like a friendly and inviting environment. The only one who I felt was attentive was the cashier who rung me up. This store is AMAZING! I don't think i have ever walked in there and walked out empty handed. They make you fee like a celebrity by how attentive they are. The women in there will ask what you are looking for and they will go through the whole store and pull exactly what you were looking for or what they think might be perfect for you. Every time, without fail, they have come through and i have walked out of there so happy with my purchases. Also, you are wearing things that aren't sold in all the malls, i love their selections and you DO NOT have to worry about someone else wearing what you are. read more
