So I spent almost 400 dollars on clothes for my daughter and after one wash the joggers are fraying and falling apart. I washed them on gentle also!! For the price you pay for clothes I would expect better quality. I think they buy clothes from other people and then up the price and sell as boutique clothing! Never again!!!!! I am very disappointed! I also feel very uncomfortable with the way the women treat you there, like you are going to steal something! You dont need to be followed everywhere you go in the store!! This store is A MESS. The worst part is from the moment you walk in the door the women that work there follow you all over the store. When you try something on, they bring you something else to try on and push sales toooooo much. Everything you try on they tell you looks great (even when you know it doesn't). Items are over priced. I really enjoy the broad range of items in this store, all of which are quite trendy. I struggle finding dresses that fit me well because of my short stature, but several of the ladies working here helped me find two that were just wonderful! I cannot wait to wear them out to events. Thanks for the help! I do wish that each fitting room had an individual mirror and better lighting, as mentioned by other reviewers. Prices are a bit high, as could be expected from a local boutique store, but the price tag on the brand of dresses I bought were comparable to big box retailers like Bloomingdale's - and I feel much better knowing that my money has gone to support a local business. Not worth subjecting yourself to the attitude, the knock off designers, and the over priced merchandise that has been sitting around season after season. I just who happened to come upon these reviews, and every person who said the people were rude are 100% right. I had no intention of writing a review, but I was looking up their hours. My 22 year old daughter refuses to go in their simply because of the attitudes of the people who work there. I think they have cute clothes, but I have to say I have never entered any shop where they simply look "down" on you as if you are annoying them to even be there. On a rare occasion someone has been nice, but overwhelmingly, it is a horrible experience. It's a shame bc I think some of the clothes are cute. I did a curbside pick up. When I got home I looked at the clothing I had bought, and was disappointed. The tank top looked like it had been used as a mop to clean the floors. The shirt had stains, dirt, and hair clumps on it. Extremely disappointed. In addition, I reached out to the store to inform them and no response was given. I will never order from this store again. I have shopped here a handful of times in the last year. I like the variety of clothes in this store...it is definitely trendy. A little bit pricey for trendy clothes. The vibe is a little intimidating at first when you walk in. The people who work there, I noticed,either ignore you or really really encourage you to buy their stuff by saying how fantastic and "tiny" I look in something . I'm not fooled by their comments but I do buy some of the clothes based on how I feel like I look in the clothes. Beyond obnoxious and rude staff!!!I visited Threads in Westwood this afternoon looking for a pair of jeans. I wasn't sure what style I wanted and was hoping to look through their inventory to see what appealed to me. After I explained to the first staff member who approached me that I was good and wasn't sure what I was looking for I was approached by another staff member who wanted to assist me in finding jeans. I replied with a " no thank you, I'm good." A third staff member (who I believe is the owner or one of them) let out a huge sigh..."oh please let me help you with the jeans.......it can be so overwhelming." It is not that they were trying to be helpful...they were clearly annoyed that I was looking through the jeans (which were completely unorganized piles with different styles and brands). But their tone and attitude was beyond rude!!!! I am not a child who was throwing their piles around. In the past I have tolerated their obnoxious environment because I liked the clothing selection. Today was the last straw. These were not young people who maybe had some maturity g to do either. read more

Probably the worst shopping experience ever. I have shopped here before, but this past experience was enough to make me never go back. There was at least 4 people working when I arrived and not one person said hello. I went into the side room to check out shoes and one of the sales associates was standing in there on her phone. She didn't even bother to look up when I entered the room and when I asked her for my size in a sandal, she was blatantly annoyed. I actually liked the sandals and purchased them, but after I left I had a terrible taste in my mouth and regretted my purchase immediately. I returned not even an hour later to return the sandals, they were Steve Madden and I can surely find the same pair at a more deserving business. The attitude of the people in here is horrible, especially for a store that is a slightly nicer version of Forever 21. Will absolutely never return. read more

Being in retail for many years in a high end store, I feel my review is extremely credible. I walked into this store today, not one of their 5 saleswomen greeted me. Then, when I did ask someone for help and pull her away from one of her apparently "good clients" she gave me two pairs of jeans and threw me in her stock room to try it on that didn't even have a mirror for me to see how the clothes looked. When I walked out of the room, I said excuse me and she was too busy with her less than important conversation once again. I put all my clothes on the counter, that I probably would have purchased, and walked out. I will never walk into this store again. The women who work at this establishment leave so much to be desired. Talk about being pushy and insincere. I have to laugh cause once, years ago, one of the sales women were doing their thing and pushing me to buy-try- etc and Lori Stokes from Channel 5 news came in and she was off my case in a hot second (she even had the nerve to move my stuff out a dressing room because she needed it for Lori). In any case, when you go in there-they are on you, they will lie to you, follow you around, tell you that you look good in clothes that you look awful in BUT if a bigger and more known spender walks through the door, they will leave you alone. Their clothes are cute, trendy and convenient for me to purchase; their service and people skills are awful. I love the clothes that this boutique has in stock, but I refuse to shop here and give them business. The clothes are overpriced and can be found elsewhere. However, the employees' attitudes and treatment towards their customers is disgusting. They are snobby rude older women who think they are better than anyone that enters the store. I had multiple experiences that the staff degraded me. The first time was when the store was very crowded and I was waiting in line for a fitting room. I was next in line so the next available room would be mine. As one became free, one of the employees grabbed another customer and escorted the customer into the fitting room that I was about to enter. The employee completely ignored the fact that I was standing there waiting for a room. Another instance that occurred was when I had ONE item in my hand and I was ready to purchase it. So, I went and got in line in front of the register with only one person physically in front of me. When the customer in front of me left, I then approached the counter with my one item . Suddenly, another employee swoops in behind the counter with her arm layered in a pile of clothes that a customer was ready to purchase, and then whispers to the employee at the register. The woman at the register begins to ring up the clothes that her coworker had on her arm as I stood there staring at them both. During this time, I made awkward eye contact with the women several times so they knew I was standing there ready to pay. However, they ignored me until I spoke up and said, 'I've been waiting here with one item while you're ringing up someone else that isn't even in line'. Shocked that I said anything they insincerely apologized and then rung my ONE item up that took less than 2 minutes. Bottom line, all of the women that work there are rude and inconsiderate to customers that they don't know. They don't value all of their customers and treat them all as equals. Don't waste your time, money or patience here because this place is certainly not worth the aggravation. read more

Owner of store ripped curtain open while my teenage daughter was inside changing to retrieve a customer's pocketbook they'd forgotten. Instead of politely asking her to hand it out, she was completely exposed, humiliated and never apologized to. I've tried to like this place for years since it is walking distance from my house and it makes it easy to find a last minute gift or dress for special occasions. No longer. The owner has also been trying to deter customers from shopping other similar stores in town. My own experiences have also been sad. If I come in there after yoga with no makeup on no one even acknowledges me, but if I come in after work, dressed up, with make up on they are all over me. Buh bye threads, as a local in town for well over 20 years I will be telling everyone I know to check out Ginger, Fox and Fawn or Ludovicos. Threads is a small town boutique for teens & older woman. It has clothes, shoes, scarfs, gloves, jewelry and more. A Great place to buy gifts also. The owner, Heidi has a real knack for picking out fun, stylish, quality and reasonably priced items. I bought a small crossover bag in the summer from her, the strap broke today. I went back to her store to buy another one and she told me to empty my bag so she could send it back to the manufacturer and handed me a brand new one. I thought that was awesome of her! Love this store!!! We always had a hard time finding dresses for my daughter. Hours of shopping usually ended in a day of frustration. But not since we found Threads! The last time my daughter needed a few dresses for upcoming events, we were in & out of this store in 45 minutes - we bought two dresses (very reasonably priced), plus shoes and jewelry to match. The women who work at Threads are so helpful! We explain what we need, what type of event it's for, they look at my daughter's shape & height and within minutes have several dresses in hand for her to try on. They go above & beyond and are also a pleasure to deal with. This store has a nice selection of not only dresses, but casual clothes and accessories. It's our favorite place to shop. read more

Heads up local friends who shop at Threads in Westwood. The owner, Heidi, also has a business called Home Accents. Heidi may have an eye for decorating but the lack of courtesy and professionalism is astounding. I bought window treatments for my living and dining room, several couches a chandelier and a coffee table from her. My couches arrived with tears in them. She recommended having them repaired rather than replacing them. This is in May 2014. She charged me in full for the couches and said the couch company would pay for the repair. Her repair person came to see the couches in June. In July I reached out to her to find out when he was coming to fix them. She did not respond. In September I was still texting and calling without response. Finally, Sept 13 she responds and says the repair person "was out of town" but "will fix the following Saturday". He did not show up. I called and texted and on October 10th she responded that she would call him and find out when he was coming. I have not heard from her since despite numerous messages. I even stopped by the store and left a hand written note. It should not be this difficult to communicate with someone and I should not be left with ripped couches. Beware. read more
