This is good boutique it's accessible and has free parking in the back if you can find a space if not, you have to pay to park on the street. The store is always packed so sometimes the service isn't great for me, but I can always find a good selection for my mom. Sometimes I find items for myself. The items are price well. read more

I have been a fan of foxes for almost 20 years. I was first introduced to the Livingston New Jersey store when I asked a coworker where she got all of her really cute clothes from. I have visited the New York store, Marlboro New Jersey,Chicago, Atlanta, and Florida. I know this is a place that I can go to find high-quality unique items at a great price. They've also always been really good for shoes. This is one of their larger stores as it is two levels. I did leave with a cute pair of boots, a really unique coat, a fabulous dress and a cute top. However I did notice a slight decrease in the quality and also noticed that a good portion of them were black, brown, gray etc. Not many colorful items and I like color in my wardrobe. The store was well-stocked and the staff was very helpful. If you're not familiar with foxes and you are near any of their stores it's definitely worth stopping in. read more

So upset, I have been going to Foxes in Ridgewood forever!!! Today will be the last time I ever set foot in that store!!! Generally the employees are super helpful, well NOT today!! I had tried on a dress and asked one of the ladies if she can get me a different size, she did go and look but it was the only one.... Then I tried on another dress and again I needed a different size which I know they had it, well she not only rolled her eyes but gave a HUGE HUFF!!! I told her, never-mind I will just go myself. (I didn't want to disturb her or the other 3 employees that were in the dressing room complaining on how tired they are) I made certain to let the sales associate whom BTW is super sweet, that unfortunately I will never be back!!! (she was at the cashier and actually knows my name every time I go in) this makes me so sad because despite the rudeness I experience in the store I always go back NOT after today. read more

Fox's is an East Coast retailer of off-price designer womenswear and accessories with locations in NY, NJ and points south (see: http://www.foxs.com). On its face I have no business reviewing Foxs ... they do not carry menswear (in the Ridgewood locale anyhow) and I neither wear women's clothing and accessories ... nor do I aspire to such a lifestyle. This quirky Syms concept clone is nice for the occasional bargains, and I do so like a bargain -- especially when my honey needs a wardrobe makeover -- and I know that she appreciates the company. First off -- strictly from a guy's perspective -- there is enough free coffee, cookies and comfortable seating to keep you occupied for a while playing with your cell phone -- even if you can't stand shopping for women's clothing. Secondly, I like shopping for this stuff with my honey and the back story to my fascination with such things is simple -- nostalgia. My dad was an old school, European tailor and owned a custom tailor shop on the upper East side of Manhattan in the 60's and 70's. He counted several celebs and designers as clients (including Donghia and Judy Garland) and was a genius craftsman. As a kid, dad would school me in the quality of woolens, silks and stitching by having me handle the goods to detect quality. I accompanied him on his weekly forays to Delancey Street and environs to buy material and tailors trimmings and nosh on bagels, bialys and appetizing in this old world, bazaar-like environment so yeah ... I know a little about the shmata business. Fox's occasionally carries fine quality imported goods (mixed in with lots of low end merchandise). The good stuff approaches the quality I remember vetting with my dad and if you have the patience to sort through the racks -- this quality is worth the effort -- if you can find your size. So guys -- take your honey shopping to Fox's and help her sort through the mountains of clothes and shoes -- spend some of YOUR shekels and help her choose some stuff --- see how broadly she smiles if you get it right! read more

I have been patronizing Fox's for over 20 years. However, I would have to agree with some of the comments here. This store (Ridgewood) has some of the rudest staff you could ever encounter (the older woman with the red hair immediately comes to mind, dont remember her name). If you are a minority, you are ignored... you don't exist. They cater to and drool all over the customers who go there every week in their high-end BMWs. I remember a few years back I pulled the manager aside and spoke to her about the rudeness of her staff. She apologized but nothing has changed. Don't really go there anymore. The only good thing is that they've changed their return policy from 3 days to 10 days.. that's it. read more

The vast majority of the employees always come across as racist and rude in every interaction. Will post their names when I get them. They're very friendly to non-minority shoppers though. They don't even try to hide it. Read the other reviews below for very similar experiences from others. The most recent experience of blatant disregard for basic manners was when I was there with a friend who was browsing. She asked the red headed employee for help looking for something, but the employee just told her to look for stuff on her own, and walked away. This happens all the time here. How do these people still have jobs? It's a small store in the suburbs of NJ. Where are they getting this attitude. Smh. read more

I have shopped in Ridgewood before, but somehow missed this place. It's a great find. They have a very eclectic assortment of clothes. You need to have time to look through all the racks. But the best department by far is the shoe department which we almost missed until I overheard another shopper say she was going downstairs. They don't have a full selection of sizes, but if you can find your size, you can get some great deals. Oh and by the way, they don't accept credit cards, so bring cash, check or debit card with you. read more

This location is the rudest group of woman in the world. I was ignored from the time I enter the store I walked around the entire store and no one acknowledge me nor did they give me eye contact. I made a purchase solely because I wanted them to know that I did come in to shop so I when down the street to my favorite store on the strip "OASIS" where the customer service is always at 110% and the staff is friendly. I usually stroll around the area while my friends shop but i entered the store today and overall i was impressed with everything , but the Asian woman that worked there followed me around the store pretending she was fixing clothes from a distance. I went into the fitting room to try on a few things and there she was again this time eyeing my purse as if i came in there to steal. I felt super uncomfortable being the only African american in the store at the time and i can tell other people around me felt uncomfortable from the way she was staring at me. Fox's has a great collection but i just could not wait to leave. I purchased my items and left the store as soon as possible. Mind you i spent over 200$ while being made to feel like a thief. The cashiers were very nice though. At the very least this woman needs more training. I will not be recommending this place to anyone i know. read more

I went into this store weeks ago. The front door was wide open & a girl was standing there with balloons. The staff did not see me enter. There were at least 5 people on line. As I started to browse, they closed the door and told 2 women that tried to enter that they were closed. When they did see me, they were terribly annoyed. A woman rushed up to me & told me they were closed & I should leave. I told her I would be gone before everyone on line was gone. I wound up buying a pair of pants & standing on line with the other people. When I left, The Manager yelled, "Is she gone"? Oh my God, I was a paying customer! Everyone in the store was Jewish except for the Asian woman who told me to leave. I am not Jewish. I hope this had nothing to do with it, but I have my doubts. A horrible experience. read more

This store has consistently gone down in quality. I previously shopped here for years( and was always neglected by the staff) . They used to have a wider selection of quality merchandise, but no longer. I agree with the other reviewers, rude staff, poor merchandise, and blatant disregard to treat all customers equally. Great store, great merchandise, hard working staff who do their best to put up with customers even the ones who yell at them. I've seen the staff there get put down and they never fight back or let it show. Maybe before you complain about being told to leave or their return policy, you should look up their store hours and ask them their return policy. As far as I'm concerned, if you show up at closing time and refuse to leave, you're the one at fault, not them. read more
