We were there on Saturday morning @10:30 AM and the place was jam packed with 2 different Groom ‍ parties, something I didn't thing still took place. The owner Armand was very polite, we told him we would go for breakfast then come back in an hour. My dad was an old school custom tailor who serviced Manhattan celebrities and Broadway shows in the 60's and 70's. He taught me about quality goods at a young age, dressed me well, and I suppose he spoiled me a bit. I have been fussy about the quality of my clothing ever since. These days I have few occasions to get kitted out -- especially since "smart casual" seems to be the 21st century norm most everywhere. But on those occasions that demand black tie, I prefer to rent something fashionable that fits me perfectly. Biltmore has a nice collection of men's formal wear to rent or buy, with all the accoutrements. And if you know quality, go for their higher end models. Rub the goods between your thumb and forefinger and you will feel the difference -- which translates into the fit and how the jacket lays. It is worth the extra samolians -- provided style and comfort matter to you. Top Tip: Have Ed measure you. He knows his craft and will make sure you are happy with your selection. Expect to drop between $150 to $200 for a good quality basic black kit -- more if you start adding extras like shoes or more fashion forward coats. read more

Make sure you try everything on if you go here. I ordered a tuxedo with suspenders for a wedding, and I was given a broken pair of suspenders with clips that didn't shut. This is obviously partially my own fault. However it was clear that they did not so much as take one glance at the suspenders before giving them to me. Rich and Stephanie were absolutely incredible. I ordered a tuxedo from The Blk Tux and it was horrible: pants were 4" too small and was jacket was stained with a missing button. When I tried on the tuxedo, it was two days before the wedding and I was supposed to be in the bridal party. There was no way it was going to work. I called Biltmore the next morning and asked if they could help. They said of course, come right in and we'll give you something to take home today. I forgot my sons suit in Boston on Friday which I realized after a long 5 hour stuck in traffic drive which he needed for a black tie wedding on Saturday. I got a list of local tux rental places from the front desk at the Park Ridge Marriott and none of the vendors had same day rentals. I checked yelp and found Biltmore and called first thing Sat morning after feeling quite stressed the night before. I spoke to Anthony the owners son and he said they would be able to take care of us. I met my son at 2:30 who took the train from Brooklyn where he lives and by 3:15 we were enroute fully set with a tuxedo rental. They were so accommodating and wonderful to work with and very reasonably priced as well . I told the hotel staff to always recommend Biltmore Tuxedos!! Thank you for being a savior. Talk about the highest quality tuxedos, service and all around experience. The staff is amazing and The price is great as well! When you're looking for a tuexedo it's usally for a special event and you want to make sure you look good for it. I tried Baldwin in Midtown NYC, a Men's Wearhouse in Paramus, and some place in Wyckoff whose name I forget. Biltmore was so much better I felt compelled to write a review. This place has a good selection--not huge, but I tried on at least five or seven different jackets. And they have all the jackets on the premises, in stock and in your size, so you can try them on and see which jacket fits best. The staff is pretty friendly, and they'll give you as much time as you want to try on jackets. To contrast this a little with other places: Baldwin didn't have one jacket that fit me at all well (I'm slim but otherwise, normal) and the quality didn't seem so good for their rentals; Men's Wearhouse only had a catalogue, you had to pick by picture, they had no jackets to try on. If it is convenient for you to go to Ridgewood, just go to this place first. read more

I got a standard suit jacket and pants from here a couple days back and as I was getting fitted the staff was very friendly and professional. The entire process was fairly quick but done very thoroughly. I accidentally got a rip in the pants area recently and called to see if they could repair it and they were more than happy to help me and understood my situation! I was responsible for getting four tuxes for a groom and three groomsmen, and my experience at this place was HORRIBLE! I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO INSULTED AS A CUSTOMER IN MY LIFE!! For starters, their CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS HORRENDOUS. The managers were nice and helpful enough, but they were usually busy so the initial consultations and measurements were done by their young female assistants who were AWFUL. Every time I came into the store, nobody asked me if I needed help. Sometimes, I ended up waiting for ten minutes before I was even acknowledged, and the only reason it wasn't longer was because I went up to one of the assistants to get some help, most of whom acted like I was interrupting something important they were doing when I did so even though they weren't with other customers. The worst was when I went during a morning and there were no other customers at the store. As usual, the assistants, most of whom were busy chatting with each other, didn't even look at me. I went up to one who was organizing some tuxes and as I opened my mouth to say something, she proceeded to make eye contact with me, turn around, and walk away. I'm sorry, was I bothering you!? I might've not been bothered so much by this if their product was fine, but they even got my order wrong. I rented four one-button tuxes for the groom's wedding party, all identical styles. A few hours before the wedding, I discovered that one of the tuxes was a two-button tux that was also longer than the others, and it was too late to go to the store to switch. So now, in the wedding pictures and video that the groom and bride will have forever, a groomsman, not the groom, is conspicuously wearing a tux that doesn't match the others. That wasn't the only problem. Another groomsman discovered that one of his pants clasps (Biltmore use adjustable clasps for their pants instead of belts) was broken. He ended up having to constantly pull up his pants for hours until we found a belt for him. And even then, because the pants didn't have belt loops, he had to adjust his belt and pants pretty frequently throughout the day. When I returned the tuxes, I complained to a manager about these problems. In response, he gave me 20 bucks for my troubles on tuxes that cost 150 each. Gee, you almost ruined a wedding with your carelessness and your snobbish assistants, and you give me twenty bucks to make up for it. Thanks. I got my prom tux here a long time ago, and everything was great then. I don't know what 's happened since. I felt horribly guilty towards the groom because I was the one who recommended this place. I really wanted this place to be good because it's in Ridgewood and my previous positive experience with them but sadly I have to say that if you're looking for a tux for prom, wedding, or whatever else, DO NOT GO HERE! You're better off at like a men's warehouse. read more

This place really only deserves 1 star. They are all about the money and the customer service is horrible. Let me explain.... I've been there recently a few times for my wedding to try on suits and make a decision on which combination I wanted. There are two owners and a full time employee(who is old school and just straight up rude in all ways) It's hard for me to write all the bad things they did or said but let's just say the owners aren't interested in helping you pick what you want. They just want your money. On the day we were picking up our suits for my wedding all they kept yelling...yes I said yelling was WHOS PAYING...WHOS PAYING???...no class...all about money and they were really expensive too! $220 for a suit is bad and I should have done a lot more shopping. My uncle got a suit for $120 with the same stuff at another local tux place. The two owners of this place....one is younger and doesn't even say hello to the customers and doesn't seem to even want to be there. The older owner is at least nice and tries to make an attempt to see if your happy with what you picked out. And then there is the old skinny man employee..i wish I caught his name b/c he really is horrible. He doesn't know how to talk to customers...he is rude and disrespectful and if it weren't for me needing the suit for my wedding I would have just returned all the suits and gone somewhere else. He doesn't know how to talk to people and really should be fired. Anyone who reads this review and still goes there...good luck! read more

We went to Biltmore for my son's prom tux based on the reviews below and we were not disappointed. They are very professional and know what they are doing. When we went to pick up the tux they had to make a slight alteration on the sleeves and they did it immediately. The tux was good quality and fit perfectly. Believe it or not Biltmore was actually cheaper than Men's Wearhouse, and they require a smaller deposit. From what I've heard from other mothers Men's Wearhouse just gives you a tux, you can't pick what style you want. Not so at Biltmore. They have racks of different tuxes you can choose from. The only negative I can find with this place is the parking. You have to park either on the street or in a lot and sometimes parking is difficult as downtown Ridgewood is usually very busy. read more

Recently used Biltmore for my wedding to outfit my groomsmen and me. Simply put, this is the best place in Northern NJ to rent tuxedos. Have used other services in the past, but they can't hold a candle to Biltmore. Staff was extremely knowledgeable and service was first rate. Our salesperson helped me choose a style that was well suited for my frame, and fitted it perfectly. Had a lot of groomsmen who had sent in the measurements from out-of-town and with a few alterations and switches, they looked great too.
