A non athletic line for athletic people? Are you kidding me? I first went to this Athleta store when I began to amp up my gym going experience. I needed functional clothing that I wouldn't breakdown over time. In other words, I didn't want the cheap crap. Sooooo, fast forward through the extremely helpful staff, great customer experience etc. I am at the gym 4 to 5 days a week and not doing wimpy workouts (in other words, I am not there looking to pick up my future husband and I am not staring at my cell phone). The amount of sweat I produce could fill a small bathtub. This is where the Athleta clothes come in. After buying my first two pairs of workout pants, I couldn't wait to go back and buy more. I have washed them hundreds of times and they still look and feel as good as new. Now, most of my clothes come from there. They are my favorite clothes for work or play. I have an unbelievable experience every time I walk through the doors. If you are a strong, athletic woman like me, I don't know how you can go anywhere else! I've been shopping at Athleta for many years and have always had positive experiences, which is why this visit was so disappointing. During my most recent trip, one of the associates, Delia, was incredibly rude and spoke to me in a condescending way throughout my time in the store. It made what is usually an enjoyable shopping experience feel very uncomfortable. That said, I do want to recognize Mary, who was also working at the time. She was kind, patient, and genuinely helpful, and she reminded me of the level of customer service I've come to expect from this location. I'm hoping this was just an isolated incident, as I've always enjoyed shopping here and would love to continue doing so. read more

Located in Tices Corner, this pricey women's workout clothes store that's part of the Gap brand has some nice fashion for running, yoga, etc. I haven't had any problems with the service at this location; they've been friendly. They have some deals throughout the year especially around Christmas and New Years so you don't need to pay full price to get what you want. Sometimes the sales are final sale so read the fine print. Tices Corner also has Banana Republic, Anthropologie, jcrew, black and white, hallmark, bath and body works, Panera and more. Parking can be a bit of a pain but you can usually find something. In a pinch you could park behind the shops at the office complex and walk over. read more

Athleta aka The Gap. This is their athletic line for non athletic people. They look nice but I wouldn't work out in this stuff. As I was trying to meander around to see what they offer, they had a yoga class going on in the center of the place - making getting around a bit tricky..... shoes and clothes strewn all over with bodies laying around. The few things that I did like, were quite expensive.... too much so for my taste. Good looking store though read more

The staff are really rude and unhelpful. The quality is not good and for the price there are so many better options.

Why this store is being completed on their products is beyond me considering they have absolutely no input on the products the company designs, manufactures and sells, they are the epitome of rude and inert staffing and management. One of the worst experiences I've ever had! I felt so ostracized and racially profiled I was disgusted! No one tried to help me and they were having a so called "shopping party" that they focused all their attention on. While we were there shopping they proceeded to have this "private party" in which they didn't inform us of, and were encouraging drinking and operating motor vehicles. This store is a joke, I have been in here at least 10 times and every time I ask myself why do i bother. Its not the cloths its the majority of staff they are unfriendly and lazy. I have never seen a group of staff just stand around and talk while ignoring customers. Whats ridiculous is every time i push myself to go back I leave and go back to my office aggravated just to end up ordering online. This store could use a good turnover in employment or maybe a manager who cared a little more. read more

I first learned of Athleta through their catalog and fell in love with their clothes after purchasing a few tank tops online. Every time a new catalog was delivered, I was amazed at how many items caught my eye. My husband now tries to hide the new catalogs in the garbage before I see them. (Nice try, dear, that won't work.) Then, two winters ago, I learned that there were two stores in NYC. I convinced my husband to take a day trip into the city and my addiction to Athleta heightened based on the experience in the store with knowledgeable staff that went above and beyond. Then, last year, this store in Woodcliff Lake opened up and my yearly expense report now has a decent size piece of pie in the chart in the clothing category! The store really has just about everything to fit my lifestyle: cute dresses, skirts and skorts to wear out for dinner or cocktails, cute and comfy sweaters for evenings to pair with leggings or jeggings and boots in the wintertime, workout clothes that are especially great for weightlifting or high-intensity / interval training (it's not just a yoga store, ladies). I also paddleboard and race sailboats during the summer months and Athleta has the perfect clothing for a day on the water, the beach, or the beach bar. The store managers and associates know me on a first-name basis, are always extremely helpful, telling me what's new or coming soon, which makes my experience a positive and fun one each and every time I shop. On a recommendation by a friend, I went to Athleta (427 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Woodcliff Lake, NJ) today to buy swimwear. Generally, I hate shopping for clothes, but I had such a positive experience at the Athleta store. All the staff were pleasant and helpful.
