A large super center that has a lot of lower cost products, though not the cleanest. I only come to Walmart if I'm looking for something very generic and they offer the best price. Went here on Thursday July 24th 2025 with my dad. Came here because we wanted to buy more bins for packing for our trip down to South Carolina. We found bins okay, and they had a selection of what we needed. Bins are located in the home section which is in the middle of the store, next to the toy section. We went to the self checkout, and paid via a credit card. Highly recommend walmart for all your shopping needs, as they have food from fruit, to salads to yogurt to snacks, to vegetables, to pizzas, to ice cream, to milk. They even have a subway inside where one can get food, and Auntie Annes Pretzels too! They have a pharmacy with polite people-- although they changed my medication to a brand that i was unfamilar with and it bothered me. But try it! They also have a beauty section where one can find beauty needs like nail polish, shampoo, and all types of hair products, oh and don't forget toothpaste! They also have homegoods such as lamps, mirrors, picture frames, kitchen items, bathroom items, Toys, DVDs and Games. Also recently have tried their clothes and love them! They also have a garden and auto section, as well as seasonal items- like Halloween Costumes, School Supplies-in the summer bathing suits and tubes, christmas decor, and more! highly Recommend Walmart for all your shopping needs! read more

Nobody answers the operator's extension at this Monroe store. They give you an option to connect to the "operator" but nobody answers the phone. I let it ring about 20 times before giving up. I called back and chose another extension, "Electronics" this time. After quite a few rings someone does answer the phone but put me on hold...silence for a while, then music starts. Nobody picks up again. This is frustrating and unacceptable for the largest retailer in the United States. Maybe they just don't care because of that fact. read more

waited 20 min. waking back and forth from fabrics to the electronics waiting for someone to help cut fabric. nope I called from my phone I flagged a person in electronics and the tire dept to ask for help. they all said we called. when I called customer service no one came.my goodness. there is still fabric to be cut get some person in there. I went to the cookware dept asked a man to quote me a price for a small plastic measuring cup there were no prices on those or the glassware cups to bake in any many other things in the dept. so they lost quite a few sales as I don't have time to flag down ppl to say they'll call as they can't help. why put out anything with no prices. this isn't fair to a customer. why don't they invent. job for a person to check each dept for. ticket or price. last but not lest I went to the women pj dept. they have a clearance rack well. there was no ticket and so me being smart I grabbed another identical piece in. different hideous color just to get rung thru. there is no cashiers but 3 and oodles of ppl.waiting.there are fair prices nd very high prices in this store.i needed 4 bags of garden soil nd compost the garden doors werent open. I had to shove those he y bags in a grocery cart as there was no flat crts or anyone to help me lift them. ppl were leaving carts outside with bags inside as they too couldn't lift them let alone push them all to the other end of the store to cash out. why not. why not have the garden dept open why make customers pass and I've seen ppl plz outright take the bags into their cars no paying as the door was closed. so I went in and could only take 3 in my car they are floppy heavy and rip open long the way. We were shrugged off by supervisors and mangers when asking to help with long lines and one cashier. One supervisor directly looked right at us, shook her head and blatantly ignored us. I waited over 45 minutes at curbside (for one item) but had to leave for an appt. I couldn't figure out how to cancel on my phone. I got a call from an associate and I explained what happened. I asked her to cancel the order. She said she couldn't and I would have to contact the online chat or 1800. I used the chat and was told to return the item to the store. I literally do not have an item to return to the store because I didn't pick it up. The rude representative said I would have to take it up with the store. walmart has a big sign stating they accept returns within 90 days but refuse to accept return of ink carriage which did not fit. I was told verbally this is the store policy which is not written o receipt or in the store . I was not informed prior to my purchase. in fact, manager told customer services employee that they need to take the sign mentioned down since it is misleading. I had my receipt in hand was told by Ray who stated he is one of the managers but had no identifiable info stating his name or his position. in fact he had nothing to indicate he is a Walmart employee beside being told by staff with identiable logo. What a great experience I had at Walmart in Monroe this evening. I arrived at the store at 8:15 and my grocery pickup window was from 7:00 to 8:00. The grocery pickup department closed at 8:00 and we were wondering what to do. I went inside to the service desk and a very friendly associate called the manager on his radio to ask for his help. Within a minute I met Dowen, the GM coach. Well what a leader he is. We were in luck because Dowen went into action, rolled up his sleaves and got our order organized and loaded into my car. Thanks Dowen. You will go far and take your team far with your winning attitude. You set the bar high for your team. This is so refreshing to see a young leader setting a wonderful example and taking action to serve a customer. Bravo! read more

Good clean well stocked store. The staff are friendly and helpful. This store is a 30 minutes drive for me and worth it. The small Walmart near me carry's only about half of this on. Closest Walmart to me which is a 5 min drive away. I come here often and they always have parking here. The past few times I've visited, they don't replenish the shelves. I see them available online but when I go into the store, there's no more. When I ask if they can look in the back, they said they can't because they bring everything out at once? Idk so I've seen a lot of empty shelving here and there. Most of the time they have good produce, sometimes their herbs are a mess. In August 2021, I went to Walmart and bought a brand new set of tires for my SUV. As you all know, when new tires are placed a wheel balancing is a major part of the process. You cant do one without the other. If new tires are put on without a balancing, it can ruin your wheel alignment. So I am a 48 year old female and as everyone knows, some females know absolutely nothing about cars and are easily targeted by dealerships and mechanics. I am one of these females!! LOL....Anyway, I was charged for my new tires and added insurance for my tires. I was pleased with service and left. Weeks later, My boyfriend asked me if I had a tire balancing but I was unsure. I attempted to call 7 times and there was no answer. So, I took my truck into Walmart and asked about my wheel balancing. Turns out that the wheel balancing was never done on my SUV even though I was charged for it. They said that the wheel balancing machine has been out of order for several months. I am upset that no one addressed that my wheels wouldn't be aligned (a major part of this purchase) to me upon my purchase and allow me the option to go elsewhere. If I didn't ask, I would have never known. After I complained, the tire service center took my name and number and said that they will call me once the balance machine starts working. It is now the end of November and no one has called me yet. I am disappointed on the communication between Walmart and myself. I paid full price for half the service. Now I am noticing an issue with my wheel alignment. Whenever I call Walmart no one picks up. I am always put on hold, disconnected, or the phone just keeps ringing. I am forced to go into the store to complain for the 3rd time. I know Walmart does not do wheel alignments so I know they will give me a hard time about this. I want everyone to know just how horrible my experience was with Walmart. I am very concerned about health issues at Walmart Harriman. On several occasions I have encountered customers with dogs in grocery shopping carts. When I questioned store management about the health issues because the next customer will place food items in a unsanitary cart, I was told that it was okay as long as something was placed between the animal and the cart. Well in each incident, the cart was not covered. Secondly, I am very concerned about the lifting of the mask requirement. The staff in this store never enforced the policy when mask were required. Customers were walking around with masking hanging around their neck most of the time prior to this change. I have had to ask staff members to put their mask on too. Now that the mask requirement will cease, I definitely will stay away from the store. My health is not worth the risk. read more

I can say one of the dirtiest Walmart's I've been in. Everything is out of order, clothes are everywhere even the the produce aisle is not in order. The employees would walk pass your not asking if you need any help especially if you look lost or in a aisle for quite some time. I had 7 bags, one was full of expensive powdered milk, snow pants, gallons of water, expensive lemon curd, etc. I was not stopped. So I stopped him. Asked WHY wasn't I stopped. He said "I only stop for big items." I asked what was "big" in the man's cart. He said he couldn't recall. I reminded him... "A pack of Scott's toilet paper...and the fact he's black." The place gets crowded and there aren't enough employees who want to work or do their jobs. I have to give it to Mike in the tire center though. He's a champ! These 4 stars are for him. He's clearly a hard worker even when being pulled 52 different directions. He helped us out with our tire, got us in and out as fast as he could with how busy he was, and even picked up the slack that another employee left him with. So shout out to Mike in the tire department. He did a great job! We'd go to him any day of the week, any month of the year, to get our tire needs met if we lived in the area. So in closing, if you ever need your tires done, go to Walmart tire center and ask for Mike. read more

As far as Walmart's go - this is one of the better ones. I've come to expect the worst from Walmart in general. Sure the prices of things are great, but from stock to employees most Walmarts are garbage in a general sense to the point where it's more of a hassle to shop there. That being typed, I wasn't looking forward to trying this location being that the 3 closest Walmarts to me are literal garbage. Being desperate for a close Walmart that didn't give me a headache or aggravation was my motivation for trying and I'm glad I gave this location a shot. The store overall is cleaner and better stocked than most other locations I've been to. This location also has the grocery/produce section that the others closest to me (Connecticut and horrid White Plains) don't. While most Walmart's on Yelp get (fairly) brutalized in reviews, I didn't experience anything foul at this location aside from the typical customers - which isn't the store's fault. Oh yes, you'll get the greatest customer hits here: the zombies, the rude, the idiots, the creeps, the oblivious, the ones who don't believe in bathing.....ever - I experienced them all......in one shot coming here. So be prepared in that aspect. Again, not the store's fault for what shops there. I had no interaction with any floor employees, so I legitimately can't complain this time about them. The cashier though - she was friendly, intelligent, AND quick! I've never ever had a Walmart cashier (or Walmart employee in general) who had even just one of those qualities, let alone all three. That was probably the biggest shock coming here. Well that and the actual amount of registers open at this location. With most Walmarts, there's up to 30 registers and usually only 2 are open with ridiculous lines. Aside from the self checkouts and even the express lanes, there were at least 6-8 registers open on this trip. It could be the time I went (late morning), since typically I try to shop in the evening but it was a welcome and rare surprise. There were two people in front of me and I didn't have to wait long at all, which is also a first for me at a Walmart. Again, the cashier was great. If you know Walmarts, you know their prices. You can't beat their prices on most of their items. It's a great place to stock up on some items where you would pay higher at most other businesses. Typical Walmart selections in electronics, DVD/Blu Ray, video games, toys, and the like. Basically don't expect the best or deepest selections. Parking lot had ample parking spaces and was clean. Located about a block from Woodbury Commons and shares the same space with a Target and Home Depot (among others) - a great general shopping location. So if you're in the general area or even an hour away (like me) and want to go to a Walmart, this would be the location to go. This is now my go-to Walmart from now on. read more

We tried Walmart's delivery service for the first time with the effort of practicing social distancing safely. We placed our order on Wednesday, and we scheduled the delivery for Thursday, 5-6 pm. While we received our order on time and our food was delivered fresh and intact, at least $30 of our order was missing. We called Walmart to see what happened, and the employee informed us that the delivery driver failed to take all of our bags. Seeing that we already paid for these goods, the employee PROMISED that the remaining items would be delivered the following day (Friday) at noon. The following day, nothing was delivered. I called Walmart on my way home from work, and after 20 minutes of trying to get through, Kailla answered the phone. At first, I considered requesting a refund. However, Kailla was very apologetic and guaranteed immediate delivery. About an hour later, we received our items, as promised. Everything was fresh and intact. Kailla also added an extra gift "for the trouble." Thank you, Kailla, for helping us practice social distancing during such a difficult time. Kailla is the reason I am giving three stars. The store seems well-managed and just about every register was open. The lines flowed pretty quickly and were not long and miserable like at the neighboring Wal-Marts. Shopping carts were nowhere to be found. It seems they either have a shortage or not enough employees collecting them from the parking lot. The store was clean and the shelves were well-stocked. Their prices have gone up significantly over the past six months with no rhyme or reason. They do not take groceries anymore they just stand there and watch you do it. When I asked the manager about this he said they're not trained to do it. But then he said if you want them to pack ask them. What good with asking them to do if they're not trained to do it! I really liked this store until the other day. I could go there find everything I need and the store is clean and fully stocked. Yet, this store a plain clothes security person who harasses me. He wanted to go on a date and even though I politely refused he decided to say something very cruel and then on my last visit to the store on 19 OCT 2021 he decided to try and intimidate me by following me around the store. Walmart SuperCenter Monroe is a horrific COVID Disaster !! GM Chris Collins came into my face after waiting an hour in line. I believe he contaminated me with COVID, no joke whatsoever. I've been since very sick -- turning positive 3 days later -- and 4 months after still holding on to life! Walmart Monroe GM Chris Collins called me to him close enough to have kissed me. I have video footage of this. So do the Walmart cameras at the entrance. Chris Collins only wore his thin mask over his mouth (his nose was continuously exposed for 10-15 minutes of videography). As he pulled me over, upset I had video-graphed the drama unfolding at his store, recording his inadequate management skills, his juvenile, bullying ego at work attempting to manipulate the crowds, he brought me close enough to him to kiss me, as I was appalled, disgusted by the warmth of his breath breathing on me and through my mask as he sought to dominate and threaten me in the same obvious intimidation tactic he employed on the crowds at the entrance, keeping me engaged in threatening conversation. Avoid this Walmart Monroe store to keep you and your family safe!! After years of shopping here, I haven't returned since GM Chris Collins I believe sought to bully and shame his clientele and effectively infected me with COVID-19. From which my doctor states I may well be undergoing further effects not just the past 4 months but likely another 2 months at least, possibly another 2 years ...
