The store is well stocked and service is decent, but Walmart policies are questionable. Do not buy clothing! Since the Covid 19, they have a no return for clothing until further notice! Brand new, just the wrong size. There was no sign, warning you of this new policy until you try to return something. It's ridiculous, if they're so scared of covid they should close. But no! Had a appointment for oil change and tires @ 12. Show up at 11:45 no one's at the counter. Waited for 10 minutes for someone to show up. Just to be told, oh you have to wait for a tech outside in the shop to write you up, just go outside in the shop and find one. Then wait another 15 minutes to be told by the tech it is impossible to have a appointment for a oil change and that he couldn't do it today because all the walk-ins. Meanwhile I went to talk to manager Daniel, and he says they will honor it, just tell the techs that he ok'd it. Then wait for additional 30 minutes just to ignored by the techs now. By far worst experience I've had by a business I'm paying to do a job. I just left and paid $60 more to have my tires mounted and a oil change. WORTH IT. I counted down the days till I was able to purchase a Kitchen aid on black Friday that I have been wanting so badly. The price was perfectly low! Convenient location with plenty of parking if you need something in a pinch, but their sanitation and employee-customer relations are both in desperate need of management and training. A lot of parking available to their customers and the shelves are usually stocked. That being said, i've encountered multiple occasions where i've seen expired products pushed to the front that have been expired beyond their daily restocking. Other times the products have felt extremely dirty or have even had alive or dead bugs on them! I'm almost always disappointed in their employees who constantly remind me why I prefer to go out of my way to Target. Some of their team is positive and helpful, but most act like they hate their lives and treat all the customers like absolute garbage whenever they ask where something might be or as you're making you way through check out. My last experience here involved the self-check out lady rolling her eyes and storming over to approve the purchase then scoffing at me immediately after... It's clear a lot of violations happen here and that their employees are not happy. Hopefully management takes these reviews seriously, but from the looks of other reviews that's doubtful. read more

Waited around 40 minutes for ANYONE to open some of the locked cosmetics and skincare. There was a group of about 6 or 7 of us waiting for an employee with keys to help us. Any other passing employees said they couldn't help us because they didn't have keys, each refused to call another employee to help. Multiple people went to the front desk and registers to ask for help and were met with blatant dismissal. Normally I'm very lenient with this whole ordeal but this is inexcusable. I have refused to shop at this Walmart location for the past year and a half and today, I thought I would give them another chance, but once again, this store has demonstrated their absolutely awful customer service behavior. I asked to purchase a BBQ that would not fit in my car and it also weighed 137 lbs. The manager, Austin, would not allow me to pay for it and hold it for a while so I could have someone come over to pick it up for me. This is absolutely ridiculous considering that I could order it online and the store holds the order for 4 days as it is stated on their website when ordering. I will never purchase anything in this store again! What type of associates does this store hire where the basic skills of customer service are so lacking. Does this store think that they get so much business that they could care less about losing sales. This is definitely a time when I will be reaching out to Walmart Corp to at least vent my frustrations on the quality of customer service and the rudeness of the associates at this location. All I wanted was some chocolate milk. What they had was expired by about three weeks but still on the shelf. I bought some Orange Juice instead and stood in line for over 20 minutes because they only had two lanes open and I got stuck behind someone buying at least a dozen gift cards. I would have just left but I was thirsty so I had already started drinking the juice before I realized I was going to be stuck in line. I refuse to use self checkout because without exaggerating at all, I have literally never successfully used self checkout at any Walmart without it seizing up and making me wait for an employee to come and help me which means I then have to wait for the employee to get done helping all the other people who have the same problem before they can help me. The only reason I used to shop at Walmart was because I could grab a box of ammo with my groceries. The customer service has always been terrible and that's just accepted due to the price and convenience. I came here and bought a small cooler. Yes I placed items inside the cooler, I didn't get a basket and my other hand was holding a heavy item. I had every intention of paying for these items inside my cooler.I went to the self checkout and also had the item in my other hand. It was heavy. I had to lean my cooler on the scanner for a moment while I scanned the heavier item. I didn't set the cooler in the bagging area while I scanned my other item. I did nothing to indicate that I had already scanned the cooler. In the span of 5 seconds, the self checkout attendant is standing 2 feet away from me watching me. That would be fine, except before I could even set the drinks down That I scanned, she comes up and requests I open my cooler for her to check inside to determine if I am trying to steal. Mind you, I haven't finished scanning my items and I have been standing there for 10 seconds at this point. I haven't gotten a chance to scan all of my items. So i open the cooler for her which was my next task regardless, and pull out the items that were inside and continue to scan the items while she stood there. It was very very awkward and unnecessary, and I must say I've never been the suspect of such suspicion before. I am not a thief. Had She just watched from afar she would've watched me Open the cooler and pay for my items. If I had pressed the pay button without opening the cooler, fine, THEN come and ask. But to come request I open the cooler for you to check immediately after coming to the self checkout before I even had a chance to use my free hand to open the cooler at all, that's is HIGHLY obnoxious. Then on my way out, I was required to stand in line to Have my receipt checked (and this is now 2 minutes after I was just checked, and have my purchased items checked AGAIN.) my receipt said I purchased multiple items yet I was only holding one. Obviously my items are inside my cooler. But we still had to check before I could go. Mind you, when I say small cooler it's one of the smallest coolers they sell. Really can't fit much inside it. It was kind of comical in hindsight. I am a nurse and I have worked in some low income, high crime areas where stores and hospitals and fast food and gas stations operated this way. I didn't know Simi Valley was akin to East LA. I intended to drop these things off at my car and go back inside and get one more thing but I was so put off by the visit, I don't want to go back inside. I'm going to another store down the street that doesnt operate this way. In the future I'll probably just order my items from amazon online. I've lived in this city for over 20 years and the way Walmart specifically has changed their store to prevent theft to the point of being annoying to the customer, it's upsetting.It was not like this before. All their cosmetics are now locked up, so I'll also be picking up a few things from that department from target up the street.thats like 2 entire isles that are completely inaccessible without an employee. The flashlights are also locked up. I didn't even check the electronics. The experience really is worth paying a few more dollars. Suggestion: have your employees prevent theft by bugging the customers AFTER they've made their purchase or are attempting to make their purchase with money. Not 5 seconds after they walk up to the scanner. That is so so so very annoying. I'm addition, if you're having employees check for theft at the registers, there's no need to force them to wait in line to exit the store so another employee can again check for theft. It's beyond ridiculous. I won't return to see if any of this is implemented and by the looks of the reviews, the store really doesn't care. I will definitely share my experience with everybody I know to save them the trouble of shopping here. It's simple. Anywhere I am treated like a thief is somewhere I am clearly not welcome and if a store doesn't want my business, then I won't be a customer. Plus, they never resolved the maggot tomatoes. The Customer Center had an issue with a tablet I was trying to return even though I had the receipt and I was within the 30 days to return the electronic device. The customer Center sent me back to the electronics department to try to help me with the return. The older salesman at the electronics department was very rude and abrasive in telling me that they don't do returns there. I tried to explain my problem and the salesman didn't want to hear one thing I had to say. he cut me short. I had to raise my voice to ask for a manager. I don't like raising my voice. I'm a pretty chill person. And I was lucky to to meet the manager Dayanna because she spoke to me in a respectful manner and escort me back to customer center to see if she can help me with my return. So Dayanna and the other male worker tried to help me because they were having issues with the receipt, but in the end they were able to do the return. And I was able to use that money to shop in the store that day I was very pleased how easy she made. It seem to fix my problem. Im glad that Diana is in a manager position and I hope she goes far in the company. read more

I went in there and I ended up waiting for 15 minutes for someone to open the glass cosmetic case. I pushed the button four times, I heard the call go out for a customer needing service in cosmetics. The last two times I pushed it I didn't hear anything meaning that someone must have shut it off or something. I know they could see me on camera standing there waiting. Finally I got fed up and I left everything I was buying and walked out. I ended up going to Target. That's unacceptable and I will be talking to the store manager. They ignored me and I can see employees stocking further down the isle in another department. The call went out over there radios and they just looked at me and kept working. I went there to buy a couple of cosmetic items. I noticed that everything is under lock and key. This is so ridiculous. I understand about security but come on. I felt so sorry for the older women who was the employee there. There was no one there to help her out and there were about 5 of us who needed help. If you just want to look at something she has to wait for you to get done. If you want to compare other products she has to be there with you. After you finally decide what you want she has to put the product in a plastic container that has a lock and give it to you to take to the register. I was talking to the other ladies while I was waiting. We told her we aren't upset with her. It was Walmart's system that was totally absurd. Customer service is unresponsive and impossible to get someone to just answer the phone. Ordered tires to be installed, but was not notified that the 2nd tire never came in and was delayed for my scheduled installation. Mom called to check on tires and was "literally", hung up on mid sentence. Twice told they would call her back in an hour and, nothing. I had to get involved, her son, and try to resolve this. Eric, auto service Mgr, was very helpful in trying to resolve the issue. I had to cancel my initial order and reorder the tires. Today, is the scheduled day of delivery to the store and I can't get anyone in auto service or "operator", to answer the phone. It's only 6pm... Extention for orders on "walmart.com", aren't answering either. Do I really have to drive over there to resolve this? Last resort is to contact, "Corporate", which I don't want to do.
