Pokémon Time Magazine! IG: @ammysalamii

My family and I rarely ever go to Walmart since we prefer Target but lately we've been visiting more of them since we heard of their great selection of Pokemon figures! Great parking and lots of space. We walked in and the workers were chatting about but seemed like they were having a great time working. We immediately went to the Games/Electronics since that's where they keep their magazines and were surprised to find the Pokemon Time Magazines with plenty of stock!! We already had Mew but they also had some of the older ones like Pikachu! Super surprised and immediately took one. Went over to the Pokémon figures and they had about the same stock of figures we found yesterday but we got a new one that we haven't seen yet, Scizor Jazwares figure! Such a great one and glad we managed to get one in good condition (sometimes the paint job is god awful). We picked up some sour gummy candy for the road and had a smooth self check out process. The nice old man checking receipts by the exit was the sweetest and had great attitude! Can't wait to visit this location again! IG: @ammysalamii

On December 2ndI found a roach in my corn dog. I have file mania reports with corporate with customer service. This incident took me to the hospital, and Walmart is refusing to do anything about it.

Possible manager of Walmart but definitely an employee
Taylor W.

On July 31, 2024, my boyfriend and I went to Walmart to grab something. We were also looking around before going to take the item to the register. I was with my boyfriend and this man, who might be the manager or part of security came up to us saying that the store was closing in 15 minutes and registers close at exactly 11pm. We say, "ok no problem". We know that's a lie cause what about the other people checking out or in line? The cash registers don't automatically shut down when the store closes at 11pm. After he said that, my boyfriend was gonna show me something in the next aisle but the employee said, "the cash registers are in front of the store so turn and walk that way" and we started walking towards the front. There were other people nearby still looking around and he repeated that the store was closing in 15mins. But he didn't tell them to start walking to the front or the cash registers was going to shut down at 11pm. Now, my boyfriend is disabled and has a horrible back, so he walks slow. The employee repeatedly told us to keep walking to the front, walking behind us. He stepped back and said something into the walkie talkie and then continued to follow us. We bought our item and as the lady went to check the receipt, he yells over the self checkout area and says that we stole something. I opened my purse and my boyfriend pulled his pockets out. We didn't steal anything. But we were embarrassed and he was extremely rude and very unprofessional. Also, what is the receipt checker lady going to do if we did steal? They have a no touch policy. We were waiting for our uber and the same guy walked out and as he walked past, my boyfriend asked for his name. He said, "I don't have to tell you. I'm off the clock. Come back tomorrow if you want to find out." I was able to record the interaction and got a good screenshot of him from the recorded video which is posted below. I know that my boyfriend and I may look a little rough around the edges cause I don't always wear makeup and his clothes might look or be dirty from working on a renovation project or other hands-on tasks. But this should not result in assumptions about our behavior. Being unjustly followed, accused of shoplifting, and treated rudely even after demonstrating our innocence is both disrespectful and unacceptable!

Rhino blaster hose construction came apart when I turned the valve off

Customer service with exchange/refunds or even an understanding with product function. I bought a product used it once and turned it off and it broke where it is completely unusable went to exchange it and they said no that I used it and then it broke so they didn't sell me a defective product what kind of customer service is that I don't spend good money to only get one uses out of something that should have hundreds of uses if not more

Super clean restroom

Customer service just isn't there. Though we are dealing with a pandemic, having a nicer attitude is always appreciated.

Another example of a dirty disheveled retail store that makes no effort on the customer service front.

The layout of the store is much more logical than the Porter Ranch store and finding things is pretty simple.

Vons/Macys gift card final review. Part 3…read more After shopping at Vons for over 35 years were done. As for Macys, were done with them too. Vons in both Simi Valley and Moorpark have been steadily declining most notably in the last five years. Both their selection and service has become very sparse. I for one do not like the obvious corporate decision to herd shoppers to the "self checkout" line. Now they are down to one live person available for checkout, it's just pathetic. The straw that broke the camels back was poor service I received when I purchased a Macys gift card at the Vons in Simi Valley on Cochran Street. They informed me that the gift card was tampered with and the $200 dollars on it was stolen. They contacted Macys gift card department "GC" and had me wait on phone and deal with Macys poor service. Sorry Vons, I will be shopping at Gelsons going forward, although they are more expensive, at least I will get better service and nicer cleaner environment to shop at. Now, as for Macys, just like most of big brand stores these days, customer service is non existent. My simple claim for $200 dollars could have been resolved within a week. But after exchanging emails with someone named Sean, at Macys GC department, and complying with what they asked for, (photos of the card in question and the receipt given at point of purchase) he responded twice that the receipt in the photo did not match with the card sold. After i informed him that store managers confirmed that was the receipt and card that was paid for, and he could contact them (store number included) to verify that, he just replied that the receipt was not a match. Sorry Macys, we will be shopping at Kohl's going forward.

Adding a quick note about finding gluten-free pre-made cake at this Von's. Our neighbor, who's a…read moredear friend, has to have gluten free baked goods. It was her birthday this week and while I'm stuck at home recuperating from a medical thing, I had helped out Dear Hubby by doing research online for who would have gluten free cake near us. Vons and Ralphs came up with options. Ralphs is not as convenient, and I like this Vons store, so I suggested he go there. Once he did, he had trouble finding anyone who works in the store who knew where said cakes would be. Even at the bakery counter they sent him off in a vague direction. He wasn't finding the gluten free baked goods at all until just before leaving the store and heading elsewhere, he saw a supervisor. Once he explained what he was looking for and how he'd been to different locations in the store without success, the supervisor walked him to the correct area. The supervisor also made a point to tell the bakery clerk where the right spot was, too. I'm sure it's frustrating for management at stores to have employees who either haven't been trained properly or who don't retain information that would make for a better customer experience. At that point in DH's description of his visit, I would have given three stars. However, the strawberry cream layer cake looked very yummy once he bought it and brought it home. And, best of all, our friend loved it! That was a special treat for her as she wouldn't normally go out any buy such a cake for herself. That, along with a homemade card, made her feel special. For that, Vons will get a bump to four stars. Still, it would be helpful to have staff members be familiar with special request kind of foods - like plant-based cheeses, gluten-free baked goods, etc. Just saying.

The store was busy, but everything was so well organized, spotless, and welcoming. You could immediately tell the staff takes pride in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment for customers. What stood out the most was how helpful and friendly everyone was throughout the store. Every employee I encountered seemed positive, attentive, and ready to help with anything I needed. That level of customer service is rare these days and definitely deserves recognition. Assistant Manager Kim was especially amazing. She was energetic, vibrant, and incredibly kind. Even while she was clearly busy handling other responsibilities, she still took the time to personally direct me to the sandwich area and made sure I knew exactly where to go. Her attitude and professionalism truly made my visit memorable. The sandwich deli team was also outstanding -- fast, efficient, friendly, and professional. The deli area itself was immaculate, and the service was seamless despite how busy the store was. Overall, this was one of the best grocery store experiences I've had in a long time. I would absolutely recommend this Sprouts location to anyone in the area. Excellent customer service, a beautifully maintained store, and a team that genuinely cares about their customers.

Particularly, after mom passed away, they help me out when it comes to buying food such as the hot and ready stuff. The atmosphere is great, lively, especially when it's busy. There are plenty of employees around if you need help. The store is generally clean. The items are stocked. Plenty of parking space. Getting out is a problem like many stores. Sometimes, they have few people working the counters while there are many people waiting. If you have a few items, I recommend, use the self-checkouts. As far as prices go, you need to use the app as well as look at the paper ads instead of throwing them away. Use coupons if you can. There are great deals, but understand if you don't, this is a grocery store. Traditionally, grocery stores are almost always more expensive than places like Target, Walmart, Trader Joe's, food markets, etc. It's always been that way. But it's also the times. Inflation has gone up over the years, so prices are higher than most. It would be great if the politicians cared when you vote for them to do their job. Not stand around and tell the public, live with it. Which is why, many times, we have different people elected. Hold them accountable, not enable them. Maybe one day, inflation & prices will eventually come down when we the people elect politicians who actually care, not say things that make you nod your head and smile. In the end, I like coming to this Vons location. I've had great experiences shopping here. While I don't do my main grocery shopping here, I come for the deli, and sometimes for the fruit and vegetables. They do have great prices, but use the app and ad paper when shopping.
