I want to many Walmart's trying to find this specific item. The Walmart in Simi said they were in stock. I asked 2 employees that directed to register 6 where they keep all the collectible cards right next to the register. I saw the cards but not the specific box I was looking for so I asked the white lady if they had the mystery box. She rudely said "I don't know what that is and I can't help you if I don't know what it looks like". She's literally standing right next to them and didn't even bother to look to her left and look for one second. read more

The auto center is a joke. I took my VW Rabbit there for an oil change and new battery. They did the oil change and then said it was late and they were closing and did not have time to do the battery. They said to come back another day. I went back one week later and was told by two techs that they "don't work on Volkswagens" even though I had the receipt for the oil change that recommended a new battery. No kidding. read more

I'm downgrading this Walmart to one star. I've come in to check and see if a certain type of makeup I like (Flower Beauty) that is ONLY sold at Walmart has been in stock. I have been coming in for over two months to try and get two stupid makeup items in this line and they STILL have not restocked them. They haven't restocked the entire line at all. It's nearly empty and there are items in the displays that have been there for months, not moving. So, add EXCESSIVELY slow re-stocking times to the list of complaints about this location. The staff is nicer now (I haven't seen the racist witch that I encountered on one of my trips) but my god, STOCK YOUR SHELVES!!!! Also, the staff on the floor seems to just HATE answering customer questions with a vehement passion. I have had experiences here where a salesperson will see me trying to get their attention, then turn away, pretending that they never saw me. WTF? Who does that? I am so upset because I purchased clothing on line from Walmart and when I needed to return one item, I was told that I had to pay the shipping costs. Apparently, the items came from a third party. This store is complete garbage customer service and disorganized. I called their number online to simply make an appointment for the Vision Center, only to be put on hold for 30 minutes and transferred between 6 different people, each clueless what the Vision Center even was. Finally asked to speak to the manager, only to have her say that they can't transfer me and I need to call another number. What a waste of time. Manager was extremely rude and hung up when I suggested that an option be added to the phone tree for the Vision Center. Since they don't act like they want my business, I simply won't provide it. I would give zero stars to this store but it is not an option. Employees are rude, manager on duty just as rude. My friend was carded for alcohol which I get, but they refused to sell it to her without carding me or carding my son. He is 14 years old and all I had was freshman ID. They still would not sell it because they did not want a high school ID as proof. They wanted a license which he does not have. We walked out and gave our business to Bev Mo. Auto service at this location is a mess. They've got no idea how long a job will take and no idea how to do it right. Went in to get a battery changed....and added an oil change to service order. 1) I knew that I needed a battery. (AAA had tested it when they came out to start the car), nonetheless, the girl on the counter insisted she would not sell me one until her mechanic tested it. Apparently my service time was extended because the shop didn't know which battery to install....so they just waited for the sales staff.. I had to intervene and tell the sales help to send the battery I wanted out to the service floor. 2) Pushed to up-sell an air filter...told her no that I had changed it only a few months ago. Seemed unwilling to take no for an answer. 3) When I received my car back (1.5 hours, not the 45 I was promised), it was hard to start and idled rough regularly missing cylinders. On opening the hood, *both* battery cables were loose, and only finger tight. Had to hunt down the mechanic to remedy this...all the while insisting that it wasn't *his* fault. (seriously? He's the one who changed the battery) 4) Got about 1 mile away from the store when the check engine and other trouble lights came on. Was already late for an appointment, so I did not return to Walmart. The next morning I took the car to a local auto parts store.to borrow an OBD II reader to read the trouble codes. Came up with "engine too lean" & "mass flow air problem." Eventually sorted this out with another trip under the hood. Despite telling the auto center staff I did not want or need an air filter, they'd obviously checked it anyway... ....because one of the filter box latches was left undone, and the hose from the crankcase to the air system was hanging disconnected (one needs to disconnect this to get the filter box lid off.) It certainly was not that way when it arrived at Walmart. And led to the trouble lights (and poor performance). 5) Apparently Walmart''s mechanics can't be bothered to reset the "service needed" light when they do an oil change. Lazy and/or sloppy. Do yourself a favor.... The pennies you save by taking it here will be repaid in all sorts of wasted time, and having to get others to do the jobs right. read more

So I must admit....I'm more of a Target person. But there have been times I've needed to go to Walmart and this is the one I like (or liked) going to. Until Saturday that is. I had a family tree project I needed to complete and needed to print a few pictures. Since I was at Bev Mo I thought I'd go to Walmart right across the parking lot. It was 9:45am on a Sat when I got to the photo center. There are 4 machines that you can order pictures on, two where you can print pictures right away and two that are for one hour. NONE of the machines were working. I looked around and asked 5...yes 5....different Walmart workers. None of them could tell me why the machines weren't working and instead said the lady that ran that department would be in at 10 if I didn't mind waiting. So I waited.... About 10 minutes after 10 the lady walked in. I gave her some time to put her stuff down and get situated, and then asked her why the machines weren't working. The attitude from this woman was unbelievable. She let me know that she had just gotten on shift (no sh*t) and that she needed to figure out why the machines weren't working and if I could just give her a minute. Okayyyyy..... 10 minutes later....they still weren't working. When I inquired yet again I got more attitude. I decided to walk around and get a few things I needed. When I came back....they were finally working. The issue....the machines just needed to be turned on. Are you kidding me? It took 6 people and a whole hour for someone to realize they just needed to be turned on? Don't you think that's something you should do when you first open? OR if the machines aren't turned on until 10 then shouldn't there be a sign? I mean I know its Walmart but GEEEZ! I should have given up the first time I got attitude like the guy that wanted to do a whole photo book....bet it would have been nice to get his business huh? read more

The vison department should be shut down. I got glasses with them and have had nothing but trouble. The measurements are off on my progressive pair... they had to fix it, they are killing my eyes and they keep saying they just need adjusted.....THEN, I took my son's glasses in to be tightened. Cleaned them before I went in as kids glasses get dirty and I didn't want to be embarrassed. The only thing on then was fingerprints. When I left there was a huge deep scratch. They blamed me and wouldn't fix them! Don't use them!!!!! read more

Parking is super packed. There is plenty of parking but it is far away from entrance. It is clean inside, they have some groceries and produce. Mainly is store merchandise like a regular Walmart. The aisles are nice and clean. Plenty of baskets, I could not find the little hand baskets. The lines were super packed. I just went to self check out. It was fine. Not only do you have to wait for someone to unlock the cheap cosmetics, but then they take your item to the very front of the store, as if you're not trusted to walk it to the cash register yourself... what a joke! Walmart is the mother of big box discount stores. In fact, it's less like a retail store and more like a small community, complete with a restaurant, eye care center, pharmacy, car center, gardening, hunting and fishing supplies and even RV parking. They have a little bit of everything but not a lot of anything. In fact it's big enough to have it's own zip code. If it had a few rides, they could call it Wally Land and charge admission. Along with the Great Wall of China, it may actually be visible to the naked eye from space. When I die, I want to be cremated and have my ashes scattered at Walmart. That way my kids will visit me twice a week... I was reluctant to start shopping here because I prefer to shop locally and support smaller retailers, and in fact I still do. However there are times when you simply don't have the time or money to run around all over town to round up the stuff you need. If I urgently need something early in the morning, or late at night, 7 days a week, Walmart's the place. The Simi store is arguably one of the best examples. There are usually lots of people there, but I've never had an unusually long wait for service. Employees (and there are many!) seem to be everywhere and they have been both friendly and helpful to me. The layout of the store is much more logical than the Porter Ranch store and finding things is pretty simple. I've bought Goodyear tires here for my van and the price was excellent and the service was very quick and professional. I also love their sporting goods section, where they have a wide variety of items, both from discount manufacturers and quality name brand suppliers. Their grocery section doesn't have a large variety like a full-blown grocery store, but they do have enough basic staples to stock your kitchen with. The grocery prices are about on par with mainstream grocers like Albertson's or Ralphs. I also enjoy their gardening section, which is usually neat and has great bargains on lawn furniture and decorative plants. One word of warning about Walmart. You as the shopper need to be extra diligent as a lot of the discounted items are pretty cheap and low quality. Remember caveat emptor and if an item appears too good to be true, it probably is. You get what you pay for so don't expect to pay $9.99 for a camp chair and expect it to last more than one summer. Although Walmart offers the cheap Chinese stuff, they also have higher quality items, so ultimately you have a choice. In other words, don't blame the store if your item breaks after a month. Be a smart shopper and buy quality merchandise wherever you find it... read more

Many things i can find which is the ONLY reason I set foot in this store. Otherwise its horrible there. Once i went in and pled a cart out and accidently bumped this womans cart. She got so angry because i didnt aplolgize rigjt away. I didnt because as we both pulled out our carts, we bumped each other. She wanted to fight me. I couldnt believe my ears and w Eyes.. was this really happening in polite society? I ignored her and walked away. She said more frightening threats.. I came across her again i. One of the aisles and she started in again. UNREAL! This time I went to report her to manager. They were nice but couldnt really do anything. She eventually left. So that story had to do with anothwr customer but now I can only imagine something like that happening there. Other bad experiences didnt compare to that one, they are just about their really bad service. The staff are in a hurry, blunt and flat out rude! This is just generally at the registers. What hasn't been said about Walmart? Look, I know it's politically incorrect to shop at Walmart, but I don't care. They're dirt cheap, and they usually have what I want in stock, so I ignore the obvious to get my "deals." There is no cheaper, and since I'm not rolling in dough, I shop here for as much as I can, and that's that. Yes, the lines are ALWAYS long, or at least, they move slowly, but it's part of the "experience." My favorite Walmart was the Supercenter in Scottsdale, AZ, but I don't live there anymore, and I have to settle for stores like this one. We used to go to the Supercenter really late at night......nearing midnight. It'd be nearly empty, and because of its size, it'd take forever......but it was fun. We'd just wander and take our time......and NO lines. You just had to be careful not to fall over the zillion boxes in every aisle as they would re-stock at those hours. We didn't care. Ahhhh, those were the days. As for THIS Walmart and the one on Fallbrook in West Hills, I tried to cash my paycheck there, and while they falsely advertised that they perform that service, it is sooooooooooooooo NOT TRUE. They call somewhere to "verify" some information (they don't tell you what...or why), and invariably, the answer comes back, "Sorry, no, we can't do THIS transaction." When I asked to speak to whoever was on the phone, both of them just talked in circles, never telling me why not. I witnessed this happening to others, too, and they were just as irate as I was. And that, my friends, is why Walmart only gets 3 stars..........they coulda had the BIG FIVE if they hadn't misrepresented their services........and not even explain it after all that. Black Friday or should I say Thank You Walmart for making all of your employees work on Thanksgiving day, and into the night, and the next day and again and again. What a NIGHTMARE. Who thinks this stuff up? If you were there you know what I mean. There should be a law against it. Hundreds of people waited in lines just to find "Limited Quantities" too bad we're so sorry :( you ain't gettin it. Many people with wristbands that had waited for hours didn't get their cell phones because the unknowing staff just pushed the display carts with the phones right into the middle of the isle at 8pm for the second event instead of taking them to the place where the people with the wrist bands were waiting. So no one in line with a wristband for that item even got their item. oops, you lose! An entire group were directed to the wrong line for the Lap Tops and waited for hours only to find out when it was too late, they already handed out the wrist bands. Too bad. Oh we're sorry. There's nothing we can do! I was looking for a specific item and was misdirected to four different locations never to find the item even though I had the ad in my hand. I went to the manager in the front of the store and said this; " this item does not exist". He replied "That doesn't surprise me". I am not kidding here, that really happened. In my opinion this is one of the worst managed stores I have ever seen in my life. No one knew where anything was, or what the heck was going on. There were balloons all over the store supposed to direct us to the item but it nowhere to be found, and in a completely different department. Apparently to me the employees were not briefed of anything. Talk about delirious! They were tired. But hey all you people, you shopped there didn't you? Their tire center is the slowest ever. I've been here since 8 am. It is now 12 and they have not even gotten to my car. They have no idea what they are doing. They told me an hour and half. This place is the Jungle City of Stuff and Lag. Your basically have to fight for basic customer service especially for online pickups. If not, be prepared to pitch a tent or an RV waiting 10-30 mins for someone who cares. They recently remodeled the place to class things up,but failed to update their checkout PoS system from the literally Windows 1998 era. If you want Modern Service, go down to Target. Ordered online for pick up in store and it said my stuff should be ready at 1:30PM. I never got an email saying it was actually ready but showed up around 5PM and it was not ready because their computer system had been crashing all day. There was no wait at the pick-up counter so that was good, but since my order wasn't yet filled the employee had to go out on the floor and fetch it for me. The whole reason I ordered online ahead of time was to make sure no one bought the thing before I could get there. Complete waste of effort in that regard. This must be one of the most poorly stocked Walmart's i have seen. They are always out of stock on many items. The staff are hit & miss. If i see any specials advertised, i invariably end up having to go to the porter ranch store, which is far better stocked. The garden center has gone downhill also. Half the stuff is not priced & i haven't got time to take every plant inside to find a scanner. ( a lot of which are broken). There isn't the variety that they used to have, & someone please tell whoever works there to water the poor plants. I'm sick of seeing so many dead plants due lack of water. It seems that this Walmart is an after thought as regards new stock. So why have i given it more than one star? Some of the staff are actually friendly and helpful, & when they do have stuff in stock, some good bargains can be had. I think the management of this store needs to improve a lot. read more

Okay, so I don't expect Walmart to be glamorous, but alittle clean maybe? please? I still will shop there but it just feels gross the whole time I there. There are many helpful people there and there are many people that just look obviously unhappy to be there, which in turn can ruin my experience. The people are somewhat friendly and the ydont second guess ppl, which I wouldnt reccomend all the time but hey Ive been out of retail for a while and if thats what it takes nowadays to get a good review or 5 stars than so be it. I do recall one somewhat bad experience so i knocked down my 4 stars to three, the Kodak machine was broken for a while and the ppl working the photo area were not that helpful, but thank goodness for friendly customers they helped someone else out. I had a very specific purchase in mind that had to be made at Walmart. I was in search of the Virgin Mobile MiFi, and I had to buy at Walmart to get the special service pricing. Initially, I stopped at the Walmart in Oxnard since I was passing right by it. I'll just say here that they were less than helpful. The next closest store was Simi Valley. A bit out of my way, but as long as I was already on the road, I may as well just go for it. Glad I did. The sales clerk in the electronics section was great. I barely had a chance to wander around with that clueless look on my face as I tried to figure out where this gadget was when she approached me. I told her what I was looking for and she took me right to it, took it out of the case as soon as I said I wanted it and helped me with a pre-paid service card. All while fielding questions from her co-workers who appeared to go to her for all their questions as well. Quick check out with her and I was on my way. Incidentally, the MiFi works pretty darn well and the Walmart pricing option saves me $$, which I like. read more

Hmm I can understand the other 1 star reviews but I always found what I needed here and the store was easily laid out to find what I needed in a flash. Yes there are alot of crying babies w/ inattentive parents.. that's what a plastic bag as a gift is for! haha anyhow Walmart has been getting alot of slack lately and well honestly if it's such a bad store why do people still shop there ?
