This is an enhanced Walmart store, not a Super Walmart, so the food and grocery section is smaller than the Super Walmarts. Still I was able to find the things I wanted, noodles and popcorn. I was also looking for some Car Care items and they had a large selection of them. I did not realize how many auto items they sell and the variety of them. First Aid kits, car mats, Armor All sprays and wipes, etc. The prices are higher since the pandemic, many items are 10-50% higher, so inflation is here to stay for a while. Plenty of open registers and nice self checkout section. read more

I ordered for online pickup. The app said they were too busy on Xmas Eve to fulfill my order. I ended up going to to store for a separate purchase. The pickup section had no customers with 3-4 associates working. They told me my order would be ready Monday (day after Christmas) and they had no one "picking up items off the floor". I went back Monday for another rep to tell me the item is unavailable and that items are "free game" until taken off the floor. Take my advice and go to Target. read more

Super Store with super prices for most things. Anything you need is there. Pharmacy is closed for lunch at 1PM. The beauty section is well supplied to fill most of your needs. Workout clothes abundant. Produce department is okay for certain products but "The Market Basket" is much better. All in all I think you will like it. read more

This particular Walmart was recently renovated which is great because it desperately needed some TLC as its been open for at least 21 years now. Most of the store associates at this location are pleasant and professional and have actually worked at the store for a decade or longer which is impressive. My 3 stars though is for its mediocre pharmacy services. The pharmacists are always pleasant, but the pharmacy techs ( with the exception of the one male pharmacy tech) who you'll often deal with all seem incredibly miserable. They make you feel like your a burden which is bizarre because without patients they have no job so you'd think they'd treat you like royalty to keep patronage up. It always boggles my mind when people who hate customer service take a job that specifically deals with customers O_o. It became so uncomfortable dealing with some of the techs recently that I ended up switching my pharmacy. a little quality assurance goes along way, I hope the services they provide improve for other customers. read more

It's Walmart. You have to know what to expect when you walk in the door. I expect to be highly irritated by the time I walk out door. If I'm not, it's a bonus and considered a successful visit. Let me state right off the bat that I don't like Walmart. I would prefer to shop at Target, but the prices are much cheaper at Walmart so I am a regular Walmart shopper. This location is not a Super Walmart. It does have a small grocery section though. This Walmart is not as bad as some others that I have been to. Go to the one in Fall River (not the brand spanking new one) or the one in Providence, then come back here and let me know if it isn't quite as bad as you first thought. Yes, there are miserable, disinterested employees, just like anywhere else, but there are also nice, employees that have been super helpful to me before. My tip is to go as early in the day as you can. The later it gets the more crazies come out, Avoid coming here on the weekends also. read more

Ever since this Walmart went through a series of renovations and re-organizations this establishment is "A-OK" as my three-star rating entails. Can things be disorganized or difficult to find at times? Yes. Is the store a pain to navigate when there's a bunch of people milling about? Yes. Could this happen at any busy location on Route 6? Of course. And I mean seriously... where else can you find a Star Wars or Ninja Turtles t-shirt for $5?! Walmart has just about anything you could ask for. As it doesn't specialize in any one thing (except maybe low prices) you won't find a massive selection of items to choose from when you are looking for something in particular... but if you are able to find something that suits your needs, you will indeed be in for some savings. In fact, bring your coupons. On my last trip here I bought 2 sticks of deodorant and a package of foil baking cups for a whopping 58 cents total. One would be hard pressed to find those deals elsewhere. While I certainly prefer other discount/department stores to this one, I find myself here to ease the burden on my wallet for everyday purchases. read more

I recently had a great experience at this Walmart, and I felt I should write a review since I have written a negative review in the past, and I would be an a-hole for only using yelp to write negative reviews. I ordered a bean bag chair online and decided to pick the product up in store to avoid waiting a couple extra days. On Friday I went in to get the chair and went by the pick up door to get it. Once I got to the door the gentleman working immediately said he would be with me in just a moment , and as I was waiting to the side a guy had come up within a minute to make sure someone was already helping me. They got an associate to help me get the product into my car, but the box ended up being to fit in the door. I asked if they could hold it until I came back with a truck. And the guy brought the product into the store for me, and made sure they had my name before bringing it back inside. When we came the next day there was a line outside that was around the corner. I called the store directory and someone picked up immediately, which I was surprised considering the line outside. I was helped within a couple minutes and the box was outside in the truck before the next person in line could even step inside the door. The main reason I'm writing this is because I saw on the shipping box that an employee had marked the box with a label saying that the customer would be coming back with a truck, and that the order had been marked already as picked up in the system. The employees were considerate enough to make sure my order didn't get lost, so I should return the favor and update my review on the store. I swear that nobody in the assigned apartments knows anything about their product, most especially the electronics department. I would have better luck asking random customers. The motivation of the employees is virtually nonexistent. I don't expect much when I come here but I would slightly expect that employees could at least answer questions pertaining to their department. I really hate Walmart....almost as much as I hate Home Depot! I hate that these big corporations have slaughtered the local businesses in the country but at the same time I am realistic and can not afford to pay 2.5 times the cost at any supermarket for shampoo!!! This location is much more sensibly laid out than the Super Walmart near Emerald Square and the clientele is less rowdy. I drive further to this location just because it is less chaotic and offers a ton of parking. Easy to run in and out for Health and Beauty products or even Garden supplies in the summer. So I gave this Walmart 3 stars because I think that the department managers put in effort to make the store look as good as possible. Whoever works in that frozen food section and the expanded food section does a fabulous job. I stopping in the morning to grab an orange juice and chocolate milk, and it looks like something out of a magazine. The problem is that the population that this visits at at the store could care less. Therefore reflecting in the disaster afternoons. Outside of the food department I find that there is very little selection in the arts and crafts, the home office supplies, electronic and DIY. Think Amazon.... Walmart is in decline. I was at this store Yesterday with my son. We made a purchase in the sporting goods department and we had to deal with a very unpleasant associate. We made our purchase, went out to the car and my son opened the merchandise and it was defective. We immediately went back inside to return it and that's when the pain really began. The lady at the counter asked us to leave the defective merchandise we originally bought with her and go to the sporting goods department and select another one and she would simply exchange it. Well we went to the sporting goods department, no one was there. I searched for an associate, found one and asked If she could help us, she said she would send somebody. After a few minutes nobody showed up, so I found another associate and she said she would send someone. This happened five times more, including with a manager named Ross. No one showed up to help us. Ross the manager, barely looked at me when I said to him that I needed someone to help us, he just kept walking, mumbled something on his walkie-talkie and said someone would come to help us, and.... still no one showed up. Clearly Ross has no real authority and no one cares about his directives. I wouldn't let Ross manage a lemonade stand. He's proof that employees reflect management. I decided to call the Walmart complaint line while this whole shopping nightmare was occurring, the person I spoke with said she would get in touch with the manager at that store. Apparently the managers at Walmart Could care less when someone from this complaint line calls them because I was on the phone with her for almost 30 minutes before anybody showed up. When an associate finally showed up, she said "I don't know what's going on but how can I help you?" She was clearly bothered and had a no desire to help me or anyone, as by this time a number of other customers were waiting there with me. Finally, I brought my merchandise back to the service desk and returned it. This was truly the worst shopping experience I've ever had. Walmart is clearly in decline. read more

It's alright. I've been going to this location with the fam since I was in high school and things have changed over the years as expected. I remember the cafe they used to have where they sold hot dogs, frito-pie, popcorn and the usual junk food provisionals. Eventually they closed and at some point opened a Dunkin which was always a fabulous thing. Unfortunately the franchise owners closed their coffee doors a few months ago (including the location in the Stop and Shop) leaving us coffee-less and sad. The shelves are usually organized and kept decently stocked. The groceries are inexpensive and they have a good selection of electronics. They have a decent little craft section with the bare basics but don't expect any material. Unfortunately their biggest problem is actually the customer service desk. If you need to return anything be prepared to wait. And wait. And wait. The returns area also doubles as their money services (Moneygrams, check cashing, etc) desk so naturally it's typical to see only one person working at a time arguing with customers who clearly don't have counting skills down. Strangely, if a cashier scans one of your items twice or makes a mistake they're apparently unable to correct it at the register: this has happened to be a few times now and each time they send me to the customer service desk instead of simply fixing it. Which includes... more waiting. This Walmart actually used to be pretty good. At some point after their fancy overhaul the service kinda nose dived. I usually prefer Target but I still make the occasional stop in. read more

I'd like to recommend the Vision Center at this Walmart and the nice optician who helped us, Victoria. She was very patient with my father, who is transitioning from regular glasses to bifocals, and she made a great recommendation for the lenses based on his face. read more

I find myself baffled by the fact that I'm writing a review for Walmart, never mind that I'm giving it 4 stars. Why, you ask? Well, we all know the reputation of Walmart's sometimes unorganized shelves and hard to navigate floor scheme. We all have heard of or seen the "People of Walmart" site and know of the interesting characters we can encounter on an outing (personally, I find it entertaining, but I digress). So, the reason for the 4 stars? I received, on more than one occasion, great customer service from this location. Folks who greeted me with a smile, answered my questions knowledgeably, and went out of their way to make my experience positive. I know what you're thinking. I didn't know this existed at Walmart either, but this goes to show that there are good, hard working people everywhere. Perhaps your reasons against shopping here are political or maybe even a little vain, but all I can say is -- Walmart has the cheapest prices around and sometimes... SOMETIMES... you actually have good customer service. I just wish this were a super Walmart with a full grocery section. read more

I have to give this place 5 stars even though I only experienced the process of wiring money at the service desk. The reason I give it 5 stars is because it was a super easy process with beautiful empathetic service while a tough time for me and my family from an employee named Deborah (gosh I really hope I am remembering her name correctly!!) this walmart pharmacy deserves a flat poor review as they continuously let your prescriptions run out and expire.they never fax the doctors when your prescription runs out,they make you do the work.. so almost everytime when i call to refill my prescription i always get the incompetent answer your prescription expired.this is constant and has become a serious issue as my boyfriend is a bad diabetic and a few times he went out with out medicine which can be life threatening due to this.i have talked to other customers of walmart who have had same issues numerous times as well with this pharmacy.definitely do not recommend! read more

Kind of dirty, although employees are very friendly. The store always seems to be low on baby items that we regularly purchase, we always have to go next door to Target to stock up on supplies. The service over the phone at this store ENRAGES ME. We are getting a foot of snow tomorrow and all I needed to know was if the store had Pet friendly salt like they sell at home Depot. The woman on the phone was so rude , transferred me to the garden center without telling me , then the garden center told me I called the wrong department and couldn't transfer me. When I called back , the same woman answered and was EVEN RUDER she said I JUST TRANSFERRED You!!! I asked nicely for her to check for me and she left me on hold for over 10 mins! I always park in the garden center parking lot because the items I go here for (paper products, select food items, lawn/garden items) are all located toward that side of the store. This is a good thing because it saves me a lot of aggravation. It means I don't have to venture that deep into the store. A store that always seems to be filled with people blocking the aisles with their carriages, many of whom are dressed in flannel pajama bottoms and look like they just rolled out of bed. Sweatpants and casual clothes are one thing but pajama bottoms in public, give me a break. Also, don't even get me started on the checkout lines. Unless you get there close to when they open and are in and out quick, expect lines to be a minimum of 4-5 people deep at all times of the day (and this is at the garden center checkout which is the only one I go to). read more

NIce because there is a dunkin donuts in it but other than that not a fan of this Walmart. The store was renovated and since then the aisles are too narrow for two carriages to get by. It is hard to maneuver a carriage anywhere in the store, especially during a busy time. The pharmacy has inconvenient hours. If a pharmacist orders something for by the time it is sent there and you go to pick it up (a day after they call you) your item is gone!!! Don't you think they should hold it for you since you asked for it?! Or maybe order a few because it seems to be a popular item?! Anyway it's walmart you get what you get with low prices. read more
