Really nice roomy CVS with a huge parking lot and self standing. I was looking at some snacks and I noticed some of their own private label snacks, some of them with really spicy options. I like spicy, so that's something to be aware of...the main thing about these spicy snacks is that sometimes they are loaded with sodium, so read the labels and get whatever works best for you. I lost my heart medication and I drove to the CVS in East Providence in a torrential hurricane with just minutes to spare before their precious lunch break. I pulled into the drive up at 1:27. There was one car ahead of me. I made it up to the window at 1:29 and they shut the window in my face. I knocked on the window and they told me they couldn't help me. I need my heart medication. I am having headaches and heart palpitations but they don't care. The staff at CVS pharmacy in East Providence Rhode Island are evil, heartless people. I will never go to the CVS in East Providence again. Maybe I'll drop CVS as my pharmacy all together. read more

This particular branch of the CVS Pharmacy has never let me down. I use this location as my primary pharmacy for all my prescription needs. Located on Route 6 this store has a large parking lot for easy access. This CVS Pharmacy is open 24 hours both store and pharmacy, 1-hour photo capabilities, and a drive-thru pharmacy window. What more could you ask for from a branch? The pharmacy is extremely flexible and accommodating towards customer needs. I've called an hour ahead of time to get prescriptions filled last second and they have been able to fill them with time to spare. They do their best to get you a good rate and keep costs low. My particular health insurance does not cover one of my prescriptions and they were able to explore my options and got me a discount through AAA. They could have easily let me pay full price. I also utilize an automatic refill program available, where prescriptions are refilled without having to call in and renewed with physicians, all without you having to lift a finger. Staff are very friendly and put up with a lot from some of their customers. I've seen people ranting and raving about their doctors not calling in prescriptions, insurance denials, and the high cost of some medications. They seem to take this in stride and do their best to answer questions and direct people to other sources of information. I highly recommend this branch as your primary pharmacy. read more

I went to this CVS to get my flu shot this year and I had a really positive experience. Yes, while getting a flu shot. I'm so serious. Stephanie, who administered my flu shot, did one of the best jobs I've ever had. She was so patient, polite and friendly. And the best part is that I barely even felt the flu shot when it was administered. I even brought back my fiance (who hates getting shots) and she said that she barely felt it as well. The dumbest thing just happened at this CVS. The entire Pharmacy department takes a lunch break at 1:30pm to 2pm. Everybody???? They usually have at least 8 pharmacists and techs behind the counter, but they can't stagger their lunches so the customers aren't standing around twiddling their thumbs during their lunch. In today's environment, this kind of policy is total BS. Corporate needs to get involved here (you don't know how much that hurts me to say that), because this store's management team needs a wake-up call on how to deal with customers. The store is dirty, cluttered and disorganized. The aisles are crowded with junk. Items are cheeper at the local supermarket. The self checkout machines were broken. The store is horribly understaffed. It's dark and dingy. I put my items back and walked out rather than wait in the long line. Walgreens is better. read more

We had the worst experience with this Pharmacy. First, they told us a 90 days prescription would be ready today. We arrive to find out that they only have 31 days. I asked for options as we need these by the 13th. Please keep in mind that they already had 2 weeks to get this ordered. No options and they said they were not willing to drive the 31 days supply for the other store that had the remaining 60 days. When the associate tried to call other stores, the head guy was not agreeing with him and kept telling him to tell them that we don't have it. The head guy was actually extremely annoyed because they were busy and made comes "omg like 50 people in line". When is a bad thing to have customers? Waiting 2 hours for them to tell me that there's nothing that can do when they promised to have everything today is crazy. So disappointing as this is a really important medication that my mom needs. So what cvs? Imagine if it was for someone in your family? And someone told you there's nothing that can do? Don't promise things you guys can't keep and be honest to your customers so they can seek alternative actions!!!!!! Worst experience! I pray that the manager does something about this. Really nice pharmacy! Super super super busy! Even when there aren't a lot of people waiting in line, you can hear the phone ringing off the hook and they're running around with drugs. I get why sometimes it takes 15 minutes even if no one is around, that "pharmacy call" is insane! They must get thousand calls in a day. The drive thru line is really long but I always wait at Starbucks so a wait for my medicine is definitely ok! I'd rather my coffee be wrong than my pills. Everyone is really nice and friendly. There's usually a line but they are polite and never seem to rush you when it's your turn. Also great it's open 24 hrs, just Incase there's ever an emergency. read more

This CVS is the worst pharmacy in the area, and that's saying a lot. You call in a prescription days ahead of time and get a text or call saying it is ready, and when you go to pick up your meds, the people at the window display are not prepared and say come back later. The people can be short with customers and even yell at times. We've all suffered through the pandemic, and if you can't do your job, please find another one and be kind to people because you never know what they are going through. If I could give this pharmacy a -5 stars I would. For the last five times I have came to get my medicine there is an issue they keep switching it to the 90 day supply which my insurance does not cover so then I have to wait but this time I have been waiting 45 minutes and they are still not ready with my medicine. I've been coming to this pharmacy for 15 years and within the last two years has been disgusting 100% have to switch the only thing that is convenient about this pharmacy is if 2 o'clock in the morning you need to get medicine it's open which how rare is does that happen that you need medicine 2 o'clock in the morning. RARE so I 100% would go across the street to the Rite Aid. I've always chose cvs over any other competitors store you have inconvenienced me for the last time. Oh the lady said "well if it keeps happening why don't you just call ahead" hmm how about you keep it on a 30 day supply and I don't have to complain each time, because you say the same thing your all set we switched it for you, oh and I forgot to mention I have to give them my insurance card each time . I am always pleased with this CVS. They are open 24 hours, have a drive through pharmacy (I can pick up my prescriptions in my jammies!), and a nice big parking lot. The store is pretty big so they will usually have what I am looking for. The staff is friendly, the pharmacy is reliable, and this is my CVS of choice! read more

The Pharmacy at this CVS is always crazy busy (there are hundreds of prescriptions ready at any given time), but they're open 24 hours so it's the one we have as our primary CVS in case we ever need something at 3am. They have ample parking and the employees are friendly enough, so we'll continue to use them for all our health needs. read more

Pharmacy staff is very rude. I went to pick up my prescription and it was not correct. I asked if they could fix it assuming since no one else was waiting they would be able to do it right away. But no I was told that it would take 20 minutes to fix this problem. When I asked the staff member if it could be done any faster I was told that it was not possible, repeating it would take 20 minutes. They need to work on customer service at this pharmacy, I don't recommend it! read more

Someone at the pharmacy decided to take it upon themselves and discuss my private medical information and caused problems with my doctor. They had told my doctor that I was seeking drugs from other doctors and had my doctor cancel my medications. I had surgery and was prescribed pain medication for it and the surgeon had a complete list of my medications and gave me detailed instructions for this medicine. After the pharmacy tech discussed my private medical information I had to straighten it out. So I called both doctors and gave THEM consent to discuss it. After they both talked they were both pissed at the pharmacy for causing this problem and reinstated my medications. They gave my medical information without consent and what they did IS illegal. They only had permission by law to speak to the surgical staff who wrote the new temporary medication and verify the possible conflict. Not any one else. That is per hippa and is also CVS policy as well. Don't trust them. This is not the only time from what I found out. The state has been looking in to this for some time. I went to a different CVS where they aren't so busy and they actually have time and consideration for their customers read more
