I came to this CVS to get an item that was in stock here but not at the CVS near my condo. When I arrived I noticed that some items were under "plastic doors". Yes, items like laundry detergent.... Weird. I have seen stores that keep expensive OTC drugs or expensive make up items under glass or plastic doors, but never seen detergents. I thought this was really odd and funny at the same time. The store itself is small, not as big as other ones in the Providence metro area, but they do have 2 self checkout counters in the front of the store. read more

While I see some negative reviews, I feel this CVS (near where I live) has been excellent for many years-yes, the Parking lot is cramped- but the pharmacy staff is professional and courteous despite irritable and impatient customers (like me) The store should be separated from pharmacy staff-where the excellent pharmacist is extremely busy and doing more and more including scripts, phone messaging, long lines and shots- so kudos and respect to the pharmacist and his team. read more

I started using this pharmacy in 2018 and had no problems. Around the spring of 2022 I started having issues. The slightly newer pharmacist seems to pick and choose when to be courteous with her customers. I was calling to find out if an acne medication was in stock and as I was saying thank you before hanging up, the pharmacy manager, Alex, abruptly hung up the phone without so much as saying bye. Now I take my time speaking with whomever is serving me as I am a valued patient and customer. Do not use this pharmacy for Medicaid, even if you go to school and work full time as a server. read more

It's a CVS and they have just about everything you could ever need. Parking for this location can get tricky out front but behind the store there is it's own lot and back entrance. It's quite convenient as I'm always in Wayland Square. read more

Nicest people I have ever met working at CVS. They always greet you and there's always someone on the floor. Pharmacy people remember you by name and are always friendly! A lot of people complain about parking lot but they just rent the building they can't control that! Honestly it's lucky they have a lot since most other stores here do not! The pharmacists and pharmacy staff are great at the CVS on Angell St. They have gone out of their way to help me solve some frustrating insurance and prescription problems. The checkout staff up front - not so good. They think stocking shelves is more important than serving customers and very few have any personality. You can tell they dislike their job. read more

A CVS is a CVS is a CVS, right? Wrong. Unfortunately, my beloved pharmacy pops up all over with varied degrees of impressiveness, and this particular location is seriously lacking. Seriously. Firstly, the parking, What's that all about? The cut-throat parking war for one of the dozen spots BEHIND the CVS on Medway is just awful; In fact, I would rather skulk around and wait for street parking than venture into that anger-riddled death trap. Secondly, the staff. Where are they? Why are there so few of them? Andy why are they so unhappy? Thirdly, if you're going to carry a cosmetics brand, carry the whole line. It's totally frustrating to walk up to a display case and see everything there that the line makes except the product you've fought the parking war and braved the cranky staff to come in for. I don't know why I've been in here repeatedly, especially since I live exactly one block from the pristine perfection of the Hope St CVS. Lesson learned... Maybe. read more

I hate you. I hate you, I hate you, I hate you. Let me tell you why. First of all, CVS, you are way too cramped. I shouldn't have to worry about someone breathing down my neck when I'm picking out shampoo, or standing in line, or looking at birthday cards. You need some space and you need it fast (unless it involves taking over the bookstore which will only make me hate you more). Secondly, CVS, your pharmacy sucks. I don't need the pharmacist shouting my prescription for all to hear or pretending that I don't exist when I am clearly waiting to pick something up or drop something off. I've also heard your pharmacists on the phone and they are rude. Oh, and remember that time one of your pharmacists lost my prescriptions? Yes, me too, because it just happened. I would also prefer it if instead of walking out to kiss your girlfriend good night, pharmacist-who-shall-not-be-mentioned, you would allow me to pick up my prescription and then kiss her later when you are done with your shift. Thirdly, CVS, what's with the frowny faces? Your people are grumpy, and I've been at various times throughout the day with a friendly smile and just don't get it. Sometimes I leave you feeling like someone sucker punched the smile off my face. That's not kind, CVS. I've been loyal to you and have given you more money than I care to admit (pharmacy included). Finally, CVS, WHAT IS WITH YOUR PARKING LOT? Holy hell! Maybe you should lose the parking lot and expand the store so it isn't so cramped, and then maybe nicer pharmacists will want to work there. I'm hereby announcing that any car accidents that may happen in your lot is not the fault of the driver, but rather your poor lot design. Seriously, it's horrendous. CVS, I hate to say it, but I think I'm leaving you for Rite Aid (or another CVS with completely inflated balloons). You make me sad. read more

The parking lot, though! This CVS has a parking lot that is so cringe-worthy, I get anxiety every time I have to go there. First, it's really narrow. Second, all the spots are perpendicular. Third, the CVS itself tends to be really busy so while you're adjusting your car, you have to be mindful that someone else isn't pulling in or out right in front of/behind you. Terrifying. Aside from that, I'm a fan. Pharmacy tends to get crazy busy around five or five thirty, but they make it work. All of the pharmacy employees are very knowledgable and friendly. It's not as large as some of the other stores and the layout is a little counterintuitive, but it has pretty much everything to cover your basic needs and most of your wants. Combine that with one of those awesome coupon kiosks and you're all set to save some serious money. read more

A totally adequate CVS. Pharmacy service has improved markedly and now is on par with any other chain pharmacy. Particularly convenient is CVS's smartphone refill system, where you can just scan the barcode on your prescription and it will order the refill for you. The location of this particular CVS is both a major plus and minus - its well-situated in the midst of Wayland Square, but despite its dedicated lot it can be hard to find parking. Otherwise, this store has everything you would expect a pharmacy/drugstore to have - no big surprises or holes in their stock. read more

Staff's been nice every time I've gone in. Pharmacy is convenient, quick. Definitely not a grocery store by any means if you're looking for fresh produce/food. Parking exists but seems sparse and a bit chaotic. Larger and better stocked than the one on Thayer. Lines go quickly and the staff seems less confused in general. This is basically a CVS that exists just to serve the residents in the area of Wayland Square. It serves it's purpose. It definitely is on the smaller size and doesn't have everything you could want on short notice but it does have the basics: MEDICINE, BATTERIES, COFFEE. I feel safer knowing that this store is close. I have so far already traveled here on separate occasions for separate things just because it is in a handy location. Came for Coke. Came for a 9Volt. Came for Coffee Filters. Came for a Jug of Water. So it kind of covers the basics and I can't see anyone using the store as an actual grocery spot but it's a great little necessary addition to Wayland Square. It's comforting knowing that medicine is within walking distance. read more

I just had the nicest morning at this CVS. The manager was super nice and personable. He went above and beyond to help me find what I needed. The cashier was also really lovely! I don't usually expect super good service at CVS but I couldn't believe how nice and helpful everyone was here! I just wanted to pass that along because it really did make my morning! read more

The staff here is always so friendly. My husband and I chat with them a lot. Nice people. You can always find a good sale at CVS, throw in a coupon and you are on your way to saving money! There are two entrances to this CVS one on Angell St. and one in their back parking lot. The only real downsides are the carpet is old and dingy and its a little dark. I've always been more of a Walgreens fan. CVS seems to be crowded and dark. There is usually a line at the Pharmacy but they move as fast as they can. The pharmacy department has gone above and beyond to help me with my perscriptions. read more

This CVS was my defacto convenient store when I was an East Sider (the CVS parking lot was literally my backyard). Now that I've moved to the West Side, I choose to still come here b/c of the pharmacy. The pharmacist Alex here is ultra professional and knowledgeable and I have confidence in the fact that whatever advice he may give me won't leave me a twitching curled up mess on the floor from all that drug interaction nonsense. Plus, this CVS keeps my shampoo behind the pharmacy counter in stock since I special ordered it from here once. Bonus. read more

Located on the same street as the Starbucks and a Bank of America, this CVS is very difficult to access because parking is sparse. I came here for Zyrtec and their stock is almost depleted. They didn't have the bottle size I wanted so I didn't end up purchasing anything here. They have exactly what you would expect to find at other CVS pharmacies with bathroom products, cosmetics and misc candies and drinks. If there was parking somewhere around here besides street parking I would have given it half to 1 star more! read more

The female pharmacist working Saturday 8/27 may be the nicest pharmacist I've ever encountered. She was so helpful in transferring my prescription while I was visiting Providence, and she went out of her way to personally call me with updates. I've never had this kind of treatment before-- it was a real eye opener to what healthcare experiences should be like. Thanks CVS! read more
