I needed some new boots for work, so I came in one evening to Walmart because my dad told me Walmart has great deals on work boots. As much as I despised coming to Walmart in the past, I said I'll give it another shot. since I hadn't been in so long. So I walk in, ask for directions for the boots, (because I don't shop here so I don't know the display). The guy points me to the back wall. So I walk back there and instantly 2 pairs caught my eye. As I'm trying on one of the pairs I'm looking around to find out there are no full body mirrors. So I walked down a couple aisles which had full body mirrors to see myself. As I'm waking back I notice a Hispanic worker cleaning up the boxes of shoes that I was trying on. I go up to her and tell her "sorry I was trying those on, I was trying to find a full body mirror so I had walked away for a quick second" she gave me this look as if she had the worst day. She didn't even say "oh ok" she just kinda threw me the box back and left. So I continue to try on the pairs and about 5 mins later I see another Hispanic lady walk out of nowhere with a black coat on. She's walking very skeptical towards the shoe rack where I was and I noticed her look at me. So I looked up and said hey how's it going, turns out the black coat was a security coat. So instantly as a black male 6'2 I understand people might look at me and think he's an athlete haha. Not "I think he's trying to steal" but I let it go and I continued to try on the shoes. I was hoping for the best, thinking "she's just walking the store doing her job" ...20 minutes go by. She's still standing there side eyeing me. At this point it was obvious I was being racially motivated. For what reason, I don't know why. But hey that's Walmart for you. Now of course after someone "that looks like me" figures out he's being racially motivated. He's supposed to act "hood" or "ghetto" and lash out and cause a scene right?? Because I'm guessing that's what they thought I would do after I caught on to they're obvious tactics. Instead I walked up to her and said "hey how's it going, your watching me right?, yeah I just came in for some work boots, I'm actually a realtor, and needed some for some construction I'm doing. But you wouldn't guess that huh?? You must've thought I was some thug right?....dead silence* she looks at me and says "oh noo I was just waking doing my job" I said oh ok so why stop here for 10 minutes?? She looks at me and says...nothing. I then calmly walked over to the worker that picked up the shoes earlier and said "hey, here's my real estate license card just to throw you for a loop. I'm not a thug trying to steal shoes from Walmart !" But once again that what you get when you come to Walmart right? I proceeded to tell them that "thanks for ruining my shopping experience, once again!" & also try not to be so obvious next time" Then walked out*. To conclude this very long storytime about good ole Walmart . I will never be coming back..to any of the establishments. It's funny people make jokes about Walmart saying "all Walmarts aren't bad and terrible" so I go and try not to judge Walmart based off my past experiences and what people say. I try to jus go ONE MORE TIME. and you guys are exactly what they all say. "Terrible and bad". I guess the coin flipped on the narrative though...not all black people steal - A never returning customer read more

Ok I know everyone hates on Walmart fir various reasons but imo they usually have the best prices on necessities and also the things you don't need but you want . This one no matter how much they remodel or fix this or that just has a stank vibe to it . The clientele, employees, type of merchandise it's all just stank . It's one of those Walmart's that's in a good part of the city but it's just something that makes me not come here unless I'm forced to. I had to stop by tonight is they were closest that had a item In stock and it was pretty shocking because they usually don't have a big selection of the food items that even the neighborhood markets Carry. They've upgraded the market offerings for sure which is good. They also made changes to the pickup thank god!!! Before you had to walk all the way to by the layaway area in the back and wait, wait and wait some more for maybe an employee to be rushing by from another dept or hunt one down and get them to page somebody . It was real inefficient and I'm sure complaints led to them setting up the temp pick area by the entrance . I still wouldn't make this my go to location on the app or my first choice tO shop at. Chino super center or even the local neighborhood market would be first choice . read more

Walmart - The Walmart version (ozark trail) of the "coldster" by yeti! This one is working good so far and the reviews are pretty good. - Department Stores Near Me - Pomona, California

The ONLY good thing about this Walmart is the Employees!! The store itself is chaos. Laid out weird. NO FRESH PRODUCE OR FRESH MEATS!! Shame on you Walmart!!! read more

Had to exchange something at this Walmart and apparently you cannot even make an exchange without a receipt anymore. This is BS! This place is awful. They double charged me for dog treats and overcharged me on two other items. I'm standing in line at customer service and there are 12 parties in line! Absolutely ridiculous! I knew I should have gone to the other walmart!!! Never read more

Horrible service I would not recomend this store to anyone. I went to buy a cube storage unit. I bought it then when I was loading it up I see that it was hit by what looks to be 2 fork punctures tru the box I checked and it was damage. now I took it in , I was not only accused by the door ticket checker, or the gustapo. That I had damaged the item .( she by the way was with the returns desk making a accusation, that I did.) I said check your cameras as I had just barley bought that. Never again will I shop at this low class place called wall mart. Manager no where to be found. read more

On May 4, 2019 I came to this Walmart to return a scrub top. I handed the nice lady my receipt and she proceed to do the return. It rung up different from the receipt and price tag. She called the assistant manger Kassie for help. So the three of us have our cell phone out doing the math. The nice lady behind the counter and I had the same dollar amount that was owed to me. And Kassie has a different amount, she told me that I wasn't going to get all the taxes back because I wasn't returning all the items on the receipt. Well smart one there is only one item on the receipt. So I had to show her how to do simple six grade math. Kassie got to frustrate she told the clerk to just give it to her (me) "I don't have time for this" . She said it twice. I told her you are not suppose to tell a customer you don't have time for them. She said "well I don't". Well Kassie it not my fault that you can't do six grade math. The nice lady behind the counter kept apologizing, I told her it's not your fault it's the computer and your assistant manager who can't add nor multiply. read more

Small Walmart. No veggies or fruit. Dirty. Rude greeter at the door. She needs an attitude check. Untrained. Associate couldn't move when my wife passed by and hit her. She couldn't even say excuse me. I wanted a primo refill. The cashier didn't know how to do it so she asked her coworker. Her coworker tried charging me for a new prefilled bottle. She didn't know if they had a refill unit. I went back to tell the rude greeter I had a pickup and she rudely says go over there. I didn't know where. She couldn't walk me over there and let the person know from pickup I was there. The guy in pickup also had an attitude. They have no customer service. Ghetto! read more

This Walmart on the out side looks ok until you see all the security cameras outside and the homeless guy out side next to the soda machine. The parking lot clean and that about it. Inside this is a older store and no Mcdonalds. There are a lot of black bubbles where the cameras are and the makeup is on lock-down like the rest of the Walmart. The electronics center is small and not worth it.The check out there are only 2 lanes are open. What i seen on different reviews employees are lazy and really don't care. I rather go to the glendora store. read more

Walmart - Walmart - Department Stores Near Me - Pomona, California

Shopped today August 6th about 2:30 waited about 15 mins to have case unlocked for eye drops pressed that button 7 times and asked pharmacy for help. I guess they were short help. I then proceeded to checkstands number 7 light on no one there. A front end worker walked passed us while we were waiting for the checker she walked passed us to nexts checkstand with her back towards me I said excuse me is there a cashier for number 7 instead of taking it upon herself to call for service see to call that would of been good Customer service but no we were ignored. Cashier had long brown hair said I guess I can ring you up no hi or goodbye horrible service she seemed bothered to check us out. Cashier shouldn't walk away and leave a light on. Walmart (Pomona) is by far the least ghetto Walmart that I've ever been to! I didn't have to park a far distance because there weren't that many cars in the lot. Customers aren't dangerous obstacles in the parking lot because they don't jump out in front of you without looking. I've seen ducks cross the road faster than some families in the SGV! MISSION: Obtain a children's kitchen play-set for my nephew (on clearance, and in limited quantities at remaining Walmart stores). DIFFICULTY: Website only had two stores within a 50 mile radius that had a "limited quantity" in store. 1) Pico Rivera: on hold for 30 minutes, hung up, called back to complain, on hold again, no more clearance play-sets. Was referred to try the Pomona store. 2) Pomona: greeted sincerely, placed on hold (but was asked politely), one clearance play-set IN-STORE!!!, placed on hold to see if they could hold the item for me, apologized for the long hold and tell me that the item will be held for me! SUCCESS: Arrived at Walmart, picked up my claimed clearance kitchen play-set, and was greeted (by name!) by the employee who had helped me locate the clearance toy. The original price on this kitchen play-set was $70 and it was on sale for $40. Yes I drove out of my way to save a chunk of change and to get the desired toy for my nephew =) read more

Not all Walmarts are the same. I hate going to this store and so will avoid it, unless I am really desperate. Same stock, but oftentimes, less to choose from. Like Rosa M, the one thing I did buy here was missing it's price tag. It is usually messy, and I feel like I need a bath after I leave. There are two other stores not that far away, one in Chino and one in Glendora/San Dimas that are much nicer. read more

When the greeter is there he is super friendly saying hi to each and every person. (Older man in a wheel chair) They always have everything I need. Plenty of parking. ugh...this place.... so I purchased a brand of socks I needed to be returned. I try to purchase alot of the same item so they do not need to be mix matched and losing one particular sock is not an annoyance. I get called upon to start my return and I have my receipt and socks in hand. She takes both items and I have my card in my hand ready for the amount to be placed back into my card AND...the lady holds out her hand with cash... now I have purchased with card and I seen people ask for cash for returns that have specifically been hassled for the amount to go back to the card that was used for its transaction. Cash was the last thing I wanted and I know its nit picky BUT when does a lazy or unaware worker finally bends the rule its to your disadvantage and never advantage? walking out of walmart sounding like i have spurs on my shoes. I dislike this Walmart. For security reasons they lock a lot of things up. But what's really aggravating is having to pay for something in each area. An item from the electronics, then razors in the beauty section, etc. Not to mention hunting down a less than eager employee willing to follow you and open up the glass cases... Then the funny thing is they have holiday gift packs of razors just out in the open by the cash registers or wherever else they happen to be displayed at this time of year. If you have the hiring sign up all the time, I don't understand why you're not training employees better or making the store more efficient. I hope things improve. read more

I was really impressed w/this Walmart. Went there on a Sunday afternoon and was surprised it wasn't that crowded, aisles had room to move around, they were stocked (although they didn't have Stella Rosa Rosso, but they had Moscati & White wines - Stella bands). We went there for kitten flea drops & stuff....and they had what we needed, flea drops worked and I'm so going to come here on my way back from the IE on my way home to La area. Parking - a plenty!!! All the reviews are true, I've never been profiled as a shoplifter, until today me n my roommate went to furnish our apartment until "Nira" or the weird look looking girl with the fried purple hair comes up to us and says we only have 14 items as I'm paying. We reassured her that we had 2 separate transactions she then proceeded to unwillingly go thru our bags with items and verify everything was on the receipt like we were stealing. Like mam even if I was broke the stimulus check got deposited so I had at least $1200 to spend. But after this Walmart lost a loyal customer. Then Kassie "the assistant loss prevention manager" started getting loud with us, then proceeded to violate our rights in a rude manner. Saw other same situation negative reviews on her as well. Convenience location. Right by 60 & 71 fwy. Store is clean and organized. Food section is limited compared to Walmart in Chino, however. I purchased some stuff online and choose to pick up in store here because Walmart, Chino was out of stock on many things. Pickup was fast and easy. Just check-in on Walmart app when you are there AFTER you receive the email notification that your merchandise is ready for pickup. Park at the designated area reserve for pickup only (right side corner of the store) and someone will bring your order to you. Always check your order before leaving to make sure you receive the correct items. Would definitely shop here again. read more

Came on March 23rd around 11am to the return center. There was this lazy "front desk worker" who took her sweet time with a customer knowing that there were other customers in line. When I was waiting in line she gave me a bad look acting as if she was above me, like sit down woman! You are just a Walmart worker! She has no business working at customer service with that kind of attitude. She should just switch jobs. She was the only one working at the cashier! She had a rude obnoxious tone when speaking to customers! Rude customer service! Do not come here! read more

This Walmart is ran by scammers. The employees are allowed to falsely state they are managers and make decisions based on racist thoughts. We purchased a circulating fan from this Pomona Walmart. Took the item, box and receipt and was denied a return for a manual missing when Walmart states you don't need a box to return an item. We went to Walmart in Chino and they kindly returned the item. Customer service apologized and sent a gift car for the wasted gas. Do not go to this Walmart. Maybe if we stop going someone will do something and clean house. The employees are rude, and incompetent. I say incompetent because if your working at Walmart or wherever you should know the name of your superiors. This Walmart is unethical and represents the Walmart brand poorly. You will have better luck in San Dimas, Chino Hills, Duarte, Montclair, or Diamond Bar. When you purchase items from this Walmart they are damaged, old, spiked, broken or missing an item out of the box. They always close down their money center early, and the worked do not seem to be happy at this workplace. read more

I swear on my life this has got to be the worst Walmart I have ever gone to. The employees are shit and don't care about any kind of service that they give to the customers. Most of the workers don't do their job right and make you fix problems you have on your own. Literally no point in having customer service by far the worst service in Los Angeles. Shit I'd give it a negative 5 stars If I could but just never shop here if you plan on doing it. read more

The line for customer service is usually very long but thankfully they seem to keep everybody moving. Just tried to do an online order pick up. I went in and was told I could not pick up my item in store, so I drove around to where they directed me. Checked in with an associate and waited about 25 minutes, until he came out and told me they had given my order to someone else and were now out of stock. There was nothing they could do, no way to fix the problem or bring another one to pick up later. They could only cancel my order and send me to another location nearby that had it. And that location was another whole disaster, I found it to be much more expensive there and was told by a smug child of a cashier that they did not price match THEIR OWN WEBSITE.
